Do you think that someone could learn how to be good at art? Or is it something you're born with?

I believe everyone who perseveres can draw good, BUT there are some people who has skills that help them become better quicker... and what are those skill exactly? well, first of all it's the ability to not over-frustrate yourself or the ability to turn that frustration into fuel to be better... like Jake from adventure time said "Dude, sucking at something is the first step to become sorta good at something" if you give yourself permission to suck at first, you can see what's wrong with what you did and you won't make those mistakes again (or at least you'll be cool when you see it's not as easy as it looks like)and I kinda lost the train of thoughts I was having, so I'll just list a bunch of stuff I think will lead to a better understanding of art and could eventually make you a better artist.Be exposed to a lot of different stuff, you'll start finding beauty in a lot of things and mistakes in others, you'll soon find out what you want to reach... be observant with what you like and apply it to what you're doing... ask yourself why do you like the things you like and why do you dislike the things you dislikeDon't be afraid of asking for help, if you can't put your finger on your mistakes, ask someone else for help... if you can't think of anyone, I'm here and I love to talk about this kinda stuff xD Be open to what others have to say... (but obvs ignore everyone calling you poopface) sometimes strangers will give you great adviceOf course, everytime I see a 14 yo who draws good I cry inside a little, but I try to think that they also worked to get where they are, so it's great for them...

I just wanted to XD at Anon's ask box question! Sometimes pictures aren't enough for someone to be a moe-blob, but it's how they act! I'm sure there are plenty in the GnT fandom that agree about Tanaka being moe, and I'm one of them *_* By the way your art is really cute, so don't be silly in saying you're not good at it!

Now for the real answer, thanks a lot :D I'm happy to know I'm not alone thinking Tanaka is incredibly moe, I also thought that anon was silly for thinking only animu schoolgirls can be moe and yes, it's more than looks to make me feel the moe-ness, not that I don't think Tanaka looks adorable, because I think so, but he would be just an average cute looking asian dude if he wasn't as sweet as he is. Thanks for making me feel less alone liking GnT, have a Lum-Tanaka as a token of my feelings

First a little backstory...

Since this academic year started, I see this dude who takes the same bus in the same bus stop as me at around the same time and we both get off at the same bus stop also... He goes to my same university but he's apparently studying music, which is at the other side of the campus... At first I didn't really cared for him, but then I noticed that his hair is fucking flawless... I've never seen hair like his before... I really lack the vocabulary to express how fucking pretty it is... Flawless is the best I can do

Anyways, it seems me and him both like to sit in the same seats all the time... and that seats happen to be next to each other...

I didn't saw this dude for a couple of weeks but today I saw him again and noticed that in fact he's kinda cute... Now for the mini comic story thingie...

I was waiting for the bus when I saw him, or at least his hair... I didn't have a face for him in my mind at that time.

I thought: "Ohhh, perfect hair dude is here! Maybe I should take a pic of his hair so I can use it as reference for when I want to paint perfect hair..."

"I'll take a pic with my phone..."

"I'll just pretend I'm changing the songs like I always do and he won't even notice...·"

"Fuck..." He moved away from where he was so I couldn't do it discreetly..

But the bus arrived anyways, so I just followed him, to grab the usual seats... that way I could still gaze him from the corner of my eye...

FUUUUU!!!

My usual seat was taken... I hoped that he would take the front seat so I could see him from behind...

He did, so I was happy I could see his hair... But then, suddenly

He gazed at the window, so I could see his profile (at least his nose and lips)

His nose was incredibly cute, and my heart skipped a beat...

I did my best to take a pic of his back without the lady at my side noticing...

-"How comes I never noticed he was cute before? I always sit by his side, so I should've looked and smelled him before..."

-"I need to fucking smell him, I bet he also smells nice..."

I started to stretch myself when...

I noticed that I was to get off at the next stop... so I stood up and...

Our eyes met!  I, of course thought that he must have mental powers and know what I did and was disgusted etc etc etc...

I avoided his look... -"Quick, make a cute face, leave a nice impression!"

-"Awwn, fuck, I don't have a cute face... I don't know who am I trying to fool..."

Then I noticed his bag... he used it in his left side and I used mine in my right... that made me realize...

-"OUR BAGS WOULDN'T BOTHER US IF WE HOLD HANDS OMGOMGOMGOMG"

-"wait, that may have been a litle creepy..."

END OF STORY

And that was my morning... when I told this to a friend he laughed at me and told me that in fact, me thinking that was the least creepy thing I did...

Kinda happy that this guy got an evolution, I’m looking forward to draw him.

Also as a side note, before coming to live in the US I thought he was holding a scallion because I never saw a leek before...

Now for the second gen... I already queued Cyndaquil, but haven't finished Totodile, I'll hopefully have him tomorrow.
