So, my husband organized a DK64 speedrun challenge series and I volunteered to make artwork for it... so I decided to post the art for the challenges that have already been done, and once the tournament finished I’ll post the rest. if you wanna know what each challenge was about, I wrote a small summary on the description of the images, so just click them..

I’m still tripping that they made dragonite bigger than a lighthouse in the anime

Booker is one of my favourite npcs, also love Louie, he’s clearly inspired in DK, and his name is inspired by Luigi, but wears a Mario shirt

sorry that the birds are not all together in one post, but they’re too big for my template

the beginning of the end.. I decided to add NPCs to all sets from now on to not have them all at the end

I’m pretty pleased with how aerodactyl came out

Kabutops creeped me out sooo much, when I was little

it’s so nice having an end in sight, this is the second to last set... I think by now I finished a lot of species, I had to sae some of my favourite villagers for the end though, the final stretch means I started losing motivation and there’s nothing like not being able to draw rudy yet to motivate myself to finish them all

Zipper was a huge source of happiness while pixeling, I’ve never liked him much, and idk if it’s his design or the pose or the colors but it was just so nice to draw. New compilation tomorrow...

I tried to make omastar look like he’s dancing to fit his regular sprites

I’m sorry, I couldn’t figure how to make Naomi’s eyes not look like mouths

flareon was my favourite eeveelution when I was little, but it was so bad in game :C

I really like how these guys turned out..

I actually did Tad twice because I wasn’t sure I had him before and I couldn’t find him bc I misnamed the file Ted... so hurray for wasted time

Gyarados is such a good design...

I feel tauros is way too big but it looks fine in the context of the rest of the pokemon so idk...

I’m actually happy with most of these, specially Lucy

if I had a penny for every time I redrew electabuzz I would have 3 pennies

all these humanoid types gave me such a headache... hopefully they’re fine

When I saw Raddle included in the welcome amiibo update I got so happy, even if I now he’s not gonna be a permanent resident in my town, he’s just a nice guy

Not much to say about these guys... I did like their cry in the games, and how they were just a dude saying HYAA in the anime

I like how fish fins work, they’re so delicate...

I’m still not over at how cute Etoile is??? tbh the sanrio collab is everything I wanted from animal crossing

I don’t like how these came out, hopefully I will redeem myself with seadra next gen

Tangela is such a cute design, just a noodly guy, walking around

alright, 50ish more... I started getting excited at this point, because finally, I’m less than 100 villagers away from finishing (not including NPCs, but those are less of a bother)
