This is Comet Pan-STARRS! π π π
This comet took millions of years to arrive from the Oort Cloud. Its unusual brightness, which allowed it to be visible even in 2013, and its hyperbolic orbit show that the comet could potentially have interstellar origins! π«π«π«

This is the Rim Nebula! πππ
This star forming nebula has been drastically shaped by a nearby open star cluster known as NGC 6193. The rampant star formation was caused to a bunch of supernovae taking place during the last batch of stars - meaning that some of these stars are very young (only a few million years old)! πππ

This is the Skull Nebula! πππ
The glow of this eerie nebula is perfect for Halloween! This planetary nebula has a binary star system with a third star orbiting it. The beautiful colors of this nebula come from the outer layers of a Sun-like star that died in an explosion! π»π»π»

This is the Orion Nebula! β¨β¨β¨
Thought to be a cosmic fire of creation by the Mayans, the Orion Nebulaβs bright, vibrant colors come from the massive stars in the open star cluster at the center of the nebula. This star forming region is giving birth to thousands of stars, each of them only a few million years old! π«π«π«

This is the Box Nebula AKA The Little Gem Nebula! π¦ π π¦ π π¦π
Although this planetary nebula may look small, itβs around 4 light years across! The unusual shape may be due to its orientation to usβ¦ πππ

Hello everyone!Β A few months ago, I released Project DeLightΒ -Β an initiative against light pollution in our community.
I just made an instagram for this project so please follow us for updates! β¨β¨β¨
The Exploding GalaxyΒ is a starburst galaxy which may have been deformed by M81, another neighboring galaxy. π
Starting in April 2010, the Exploding Galaxy started sending out strange radio signals and scientists to this day donβt understand them yet... π½π½π½

Slooh just got a massive update so there are more quests - which means more collages of astrophotos!
Here is a collection of some of my best nebulae photos: theΒ Lagoon Nebula, Rho Ophiuchi, Horsehead Nebula, and Dumbbell Nebula! ππ«ππβ¨
