This is the Skull Nebula! ๐๐๐
The glow of this eerie nebula is perfect for Halloween! This planetary nebula has a binary star system with a third star orbiting it. The beautiful colors of this nebula come from the outer layers of a Sun-like star that died in an explosion! ๐ป๐ป๐ป

This is the Eta Carinae Nebula! โจโจโจ
Due to its eruption in the 1840s, the mass of this stunning nebula has been challenging to measure. The colorful dust also dims the starโs ultraviolet and visible light by reradiating the shorter, more energetic light through longer wavelengths like infrared light! โคโคโค

So beautiful - I absolutely love the night sky! โจโจโจ

This is the Super Flower Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse! โจโจโจ
Although the Slooh telescopes were off at the time of the eclipse itself, Slooh did provide a great livestream on Youtube that you can watch if you missed the event. The nameย โsuper moonโ comes from how the Moon is located closer in its elliptical orbit to Earth, the nameย โflower moonโ comes from how the super moon takes place in May, and the nameย โblood moonโ shows its red color due to the Earth blocking the Sunโs light on the moon! ๐๐๐

This is the Lobster Nebula!ย ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ
Despite this creative name, there were multiple petitions to change this nebulaโs name to the Madokami Nebula (named after a character in the anime Madoka Magica) and the War and Peace Nebula (named after its resemblance to a skull and dove). The core of the nebula is the Pismis-24 cluster containing very massive stars up to 100 solar masses each! โจโจโจ

This is the Blue Moon! ๐โจ๐โจ๐โจ
A blue moon occurs when there are more than 1 full moon per month (itโs not actually blue ๐ญ). We were lucky to have it on Halloween since this occurrence is pretty rare: the next time there will be a blue moon on Halloween is 19 years from now! ๐ป๐๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ

This is the Trifid Nebula! โจโจโจ
At the center of this nebula is a group of bright newborn stars that are releasing streams of radiation and sculpting the nebulaโs shape. Located next to the famous Lagoon Nebula, the Trifid Nebula is a common target for astrophotographers due to its vibrant colors and high visibility! ๐๐๐

๐๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ, 8 ๐๐๐ โข The fact that it's the last monthly spread of this year seems so unreal..I did this constellation kind of theme because outer space have a special place in my heart and this is my birth month so why not! also let's say goodbye to this unfortunate year and wish that the new moon of 2021 will bring new lights!โจ
