The Silver Coin Galaxy ๐
My favorite galaxy by far. This starburst spiral galaxy, also known as NGC 253, is undergoing massive star formation and thus is incredibly bright โจ

Colors of the Moon Image Credit & Copyright: Marcella Giulia Pace
Explanation: What color is the Moon? It depends on the night. Outside of the Earthโs atmosphere, the dark Moon, which shines by reflected sunlight, appears a magnificently brown-tinged gray. Viewed from inside the Earthโs atmosphere, though, the moon can appear quite different. The featured image highlights a collection of apparent colors of the full moon documented by one astrophotographer over 10 years from different locations across Italy. A red or yellow colored moon usually indicates a moon seen near the horizon. There, some of the blue light has been scattered away by a long path through the Earthโs atmosphere, sometimes laden with fine dust. A blue-colored moon is more rare and can indicate a moon seen through an atmosphere carrying larger dust particles. What created the purple moon is unclear โ it may be a combination of several effects. The last image captures the total lunar eclipse of 2018 July โ where the moon, in Earthโs shadow, appeared a faint red โ due to light refracted through air around the Earth. Today there is not only another full moon but a total lunar eclipse visible to observers in North and South America โ an occurrence that may lead to some unexpected lunar colorings.

This is the Blue Moon! ๐โจ๐โจ๐โจ
A blue moon occurs when there are more than 1 full moon per month (itโs not actually blue ๐ญ). We were lucky to have it on Halloween since this occurrence is pretty rare: the next time there will be a blue moon on Halloween is 19 years from now! ๐ป๐๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ

This is Haleyโs Coronet! ๐๐๐
The interaction between the larger spiral galaxy and its dwarf galaxy have created plumes of dust around the duo. The process of the larger galaxy eating the smaller one is actually called galactic cannibalism (spooky)! ๐ป๐ป๐ป

๐๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ, 8 ๐๐๐ โข The fact that it's the last monthly spread of this year seems so unreal..I did this constellation kind of theme because outer space have a special place in my heart and this is my birth month so why not! also let's say goodbye to this unfortunate year and wish that the new moon of 2021 will bring new lights!โจ

This isย Sharpless 101! ๐๐๐
This stunning HII emission nebula is also called the Tulip Nebula due to its flower-like shape. This field is close to the Cygnus X-1 quasar, which was one of the first detected black holes! ๐๐๐
