Is it just my friend group or is there just a bunch of chaotic dumbasses and then this one terrifying one? My friend does some sort of martial arts and was probably the bully in her old school, but you wouldn’t really think much of her because she just seems like a short, geeky, anime-loving girl but in reality she won’t hesitate to stab a bitch? And then there’s me, some sort of awkward gremlin thing who mutters lines of Man or Muppet during a panic attack in the school bathroom.

We became friends because she was the first person from my form class that I spoke to, we both liked anime and we just said that we should be friends?? I’m probably gonna be talking about my friends a bit and how much I love them despite them all being feral like all the time.

I work at a daycare with infants.

One of our baby girls is fat, in the 99th percentile for her age. She is super cute and sweet. Lately, she has been sick with various breathing issues, so she has been reluctant to take her bottles. Normally, she’ll take 4 ounces of formula at lunch and 8 ounces in the afternoon. Today, I was lucky to get to her take 5 all day.

There was a substitute covering a lunch break in my classroom today. We emphasized to her that we need to keep trying to get the baby to drink her bottle until she finished it. She said, “Why are you guys so worried about taking her bottle?”

My coworker replied, “That’s where all her nutrients are. She needs the nutrients and the water.”

To which the substitute replied, “But she’s so fat. She doesn’t need it.”

Thin privilege is a small, pretty baby getting better childcare because the caretaker doesn’t think she’s too fat to be allowed to eat.

My mom thinks I'm spending too much time using my phone and reading, and not studying. How she expects me to study when my school is a joke and the world is crumbling, I don't know, but that is a whole other post.

She also found out that I use Tumblr, and she's furious. I'm literally not allowed to be on any social media platform, so she wants me to delete my Tumblr now.

Anyway, after many hours of lectures and yelling and tears, and explaining what exactly Tumblr is, she's decided that if this post gets

She's doing this cause she thinks Tumblr is useless and that I'll never get enough notes, so help please! I know this is near impossible.

I wish I could start a band. I can kinda sing (I was in choir for four years, not that it did much) and I can scream because I like screaming. But I’m only friends with people who play piano and a guy who is learning how to play drums, plus I tried learning how to play the guitar but it hurt my fingers cuz I’m sensitive. 

Poland just made it legal to torture women.

abortion law in Poland was already the strictest in Europe, abortion was allowed in only 3 cases:

if the pregnancy was a result of rape or incest

if the mother's health was at risk

in case of foetal defects.

another problem is that there is something called "conscience clause" among Polish doctors which means that they can deny a patient certain treatment if it's against their conscience or beliefs (yes, it mostly applies to conservative, catholic doctors). some doctors went as far as not telling women about foetal defects until it was too late to terminate pregnancy. what's more, abortion in case of rape happens very rarely, since it's difficult to prove rape in the eyes of Polish law.

in 2019, only 1100 legal abortions took place in Poland, a country populated by 38 milion people. 98% of these abortions happened because of foetal defects.

on October 22nd 2020, Poland's top court ruled abortion due to foetal defects inconstitional, basically making abortion illegal.

Polish women will be forced to give birth to children with basically no chance to live. they will be tortured physically and mentally. rich women will be able to visit neighbouring countries to have abortion there but there are plenty of women who will have unsafe, illegal abortions, endangering their lives.

there are protests happening all over the country. not for the first time though, we've been protesting abortion ban for few years now. there's a sense of solidarity among us but the truth is, we're afraid.

this is how catholic extremism looks like. Poland is becoming a real-life Gilead and it's fucking terrifying.
