Ghost was taken from his family along with his brother because of their shit father. People were actively looking for both Ghost and his brother because of shit their father had done so Laswell placed them with caretakers that could protect them until the situation involving their father was dealt with.

Ghost was eight and his brother was six when they were removed from their mother’s care. Ghost was a flight risk for three years so Laswell had to place him with Price, who was more capable of handling him than his previous caretakers. Ghost was a troublemaker the moment Price brought him home.

But, unlike his previous caretakers, Ghost grew close with Price and started viewing him as a father figure. When Ghost was thirteen, his father and the people who were after him were dealt with and Ghost was free to return to his mother. But Ghost, after a long talk with his mother, chose to stay with Price.

After Ghost’s official adoption by Price, Laswell informs Price of another child in a tough situation that needed someone to look after him. So Price brought home eleven year old Gaz and ended up adopting him when he was twelve.

Ghost still visits his mother and brother and often enough they come over during the holidays.
