"  we're  going  to  be  taking  a  lie  detector  test  today.  you  will  be  hooked  up  to  the  machine,  and  we  will  ask  you  a  series  of  questions  -  whether  you  tell  the  truth  or  lie  is  up  to  you,  but  the  test  will  be  able  to  snitch  out  any  lies."

" Seem simple enough."

"  to  start,  what  is  your  first  name  and  what  city  are  we  in  ?  "

"Harold. Or Harry. And we are in the amazing New York City."

"  thank  you.  how  are  you  feeling  today  ?  "

"Just peachy. Had my morning beagle and coffee. I'm content."

"  understandable.  how  about  an  easier  one  -  what's  your  favourite  colour  ?  "

"It's been blue forever. But like a darker blue. I don't know the name, but let's just say dark blue."

"  and  your  favourite  film  genre ?  "

Harry lets out an airy chuckle. "Most people would say Superhero movies, with my track record but I want to make the record straight I do enjoy a good horror thriller."

"  let's  see  -  what  is  one  thing  you  wouldn't  be  found  without ?  "

"It is too "basic"- is that the term?" Harry laughs trying to understand these new terms being tossed around. "My phone. I'm always on it. Text, random Google searches during the day."

"  keeping  it  light,  what's  your  drink  of  choice  ?  "

"Whiskey on the rocks." "That's a lie." "Okay, okay. You got me. I'm kinda of a fruity drink kind of guy. Long Island Ice Tea is up there.

"I've heard of it. It's a website. I've seen dozen of these in the past couple of years now. My name is always circulating in these outlets. Ever since I've shown my face to the public. I do have to admit this one knows where to get their information."

"  everyone  is  entitled  to  their  own  opinion,  i  guess.  what's  the  weirdest  /  craziest  headline  you've  read  about  yourself  there  ?  "

"Oh, man. A recent one I saw that actually made me laugh, that I had signed on to this trip to space that other celebrities were going. As much as I wish that was true, I didn't make the cut. - I know!" Harry reacted to the gasps behind the cameras. "I'd kill to go to space."

"  what's  something  you  are  currently  working  on  ?  "

"A few projects here and there. Mostly producing. So sorry to disappoint any fans of mine that want another Superman movie any time soon."

"  i'll  look  forward  to  it.  one  last  official  question  -  and  it's  an  easier  one.  cats  or  dogs ?  "

"Thanks. They are some projects that are close to my heart. Oh dogs 100%. I have a Collie, Quinn." Harry was quick to pull out his phone with his free hand. "This is the little guy."

"  personally,  i'm  a  dog  fan  anyday.  anything  else  you'd  like  to  add ?  "

"That this was fun. Only got one beep out of it. Gotta say that's a win."

"  well,  thank  you  so  much  for  joining  us  today  ​​​​​​​-  can't  ​​​​​​​wait  ​​​​​​​to  ​​​​​​​have  ​​​​​​​you  ​​​​​​​back  ​​​​​​​with  ​​​​​​​us  soon."

With his third glass of wine in hand, he pondered. "Hmm, I supposed I could help you. What could go wrong tonight?" He took one more sip. "How can I help?"

Rubbing his glove clad hand together, Harry tried to keep himself warm. As the year was coming to an end, the weather was getting colder. And a winter in New York could be harsh. Harry pulled his coat tighter around him making his way into Central Park. The park during this time of year was the best to visit. He heard the footsteps approaching next to him. "Not yet. Close." Harry laughed it off. New York weather was nothing compared to England winters. "But if we do want to continue the day out here, I need some coffee."

air  grew  colder ,  scarves  came  out ,  steam  rising  from  the  grates  billowed  stronger  and  finn  adored  all  of  it .  the  contrast  between  the  big  grey  city  and  the  seas  of  reds ,  yellows  and  oranges  from  home  as  the  seasons  changed .  the  way  lovers  tucked  their  hands  into  the  other's  pocket  as  they  walked .  they  adored  seeing  the  normal  things ,  the  small  gestures  between  millions  of  people  sharing  a  city  that  made  everyone  anonymous ,  even  them ,  to  some  extent .  beanie  tugged  over  reddened  ears  to  shield  them  from  the  cold ,  sheepskin  jacket  pulled  tight  around  him ,  he  hoisted  himself  up  the  last  few  steps  from  the  subway  and  down  the  street  to  central  park .  "  sorry  i'm  late ,  "  he  said  as  he  walked  up  along  side  them .  "  i  hope  you're  not  too  frozen .  "

Harry lifted his gaze from his phone. "No. Continue if you like. I was listening. We need to change a location, okay. We can work on that."

As soon as Harry approached the bar, he waved over the bartender for a shot. The flutes of champagne were not going to work anymore for him. "Thank you" He chuckled at the man's joke. Taking his first sip, he looked back at the party. Harry was used to these amount of people but from time to time he needed some room to breath. "Not insufferable, I've been to events bigger. I just needed to step away. I suppose all of this can be a lot." He introduced himself. "I'm Harry." He extended his hand.

◜   ♱   :   "    not    at    all,    i'd    hate    to    be    the    one    drinking    up    the    bar    tab.    "    humour    lingers    by    the    edge,    legarthic    gaze    thrown    haphazardly    over    his    shoulder    for    a    brief    moment,    "    the    whole    thing's    a    bit    insufferable,    isn't    it    ?    "  

Harry always stayed humbled. "My movies? Those pieces of junk." He joked around. "Sorry you have to watch all those." He wanted to keep the light heart attitude with them. He sat back down at the table, excited to discuss this movie. "Not a lot as you would think. Some actors don't put as much effort. But I take pride in each role. Which- the one I have in your book, I really am enjoying reading so far." Harry gave a point over to the book. "I really did enjoying the world you created. Amazing work." He praised them. "Oh, well then I have to make sure I make a good impression. Have you have done anything to this scale of production before? It can get intimidating."

          the buzzing excitement in their veins hasn't drained since they first got confirmation that everything was good to go with the adaption.  their smile is permanent     (     as if they aren't always showing off their teeth in impressive joy     )     on their way to meet the actor.  they come to the table armed with a tote bag overpacked with their laptop, a hefty copy of character studies, and of course the book that's up for adaption.     

"     no, oh my god, it's totally entirely my pleasure.  i've watched like all of your movies to prepare.     "     they take the seat across from him, struggling for a moment to hang their tote on the chair, only to give up and set it on the floor.     "     do all actors in adaptions do this  ?  it's my first time experiencing this, so i'm completely out of my depth.     "
