Zeus (Roman: Jupiter) is the Greek god of the sky, weather, thunder, lightning, rain, strangers, hospitality, and kingship. He is the king of the Olympians, the eldest son of Kronos (Cronus), and is said to be the sender of dreams.

How do you know when a God has responded?
Let’s just say, when you know, you know.
I realize how vague and unhelpful this is, so I’ll list some common ways the Gods respond to people:
They appear in your dreams
You hear Their voice in your head
The elements around you respond when you pray to Them (i.e., the wind shifts, the candle rises or flickers, etc.)
Your mood changes abruptly
You feel Their touch
You feel another sensation come out of nowhere, such as a temperature change, or a feeling of a blanket on your shoulders when there is none
You constantly run into Their symbols (for example, suddenly the crows of Apollo are following you or being extra loud or something)
A circumstance in your life changes, or you run into serendipity at a much-needed time (proving that They’re watching over you)
You feel an irresistible gut feeling to do something, such as make an altar for Them, research Them, do a certain spell or the like
Gods responding is similar to spirit work or locating omens: when you know, you just know. It’s very intuitive. But sometimes it takes Gods a while to respond.
Just know that the Gods will respond to you. Blessed be lovely ~ ( ^ ω ^ )
is it important to know how to reverse spells?? bc idk how but i still want to do them ah
You can still start doing spells without knowing how to reverse them right away. It’s a useful skill to have, but not necessary until required; if you want to know it as a sort of preemptive thing, that’s still okay. For the most part, you really only need to know how to reverse a spell if something goes wrong, but for the most part they should go off without a hitch. I didn’t learn how to reverse spells before I started casting them, is really my point, and nothing came up. So, unless something comes up, it isn’t too big of a concern, but if you want to have that knowledge beforehand, just in case, that’s up to you.
Sometimes you may decide you just want to undo a spell you’ve cast, maybe because you don’t need / want it anymore, or perhaps you even have second thoughts about casting it. I have only had to break one spell, and it was a jar spell, so it was super easy to do.
For a lot of spells, doing the spell backward or in reverse can break it. Literally breaking the spell down in most cases is enough. Jars just need to be emptied and cleaned / cleansed. Candles can be snapped or the remains thrown out. Sigils are destroyed or have their energy released. Knots are undone. Poppets are opened and thrown out. Even a very thorough self cleansing can remove the effects of a spell. Some spells even come with reversals attached to the bottom, which is handy.
There are lots of other methods that can be used to reverse spells. I can give you some resources on that if you want, so you can look at them and have an idea, just if you want to be secure in that knowledge before you begin.

THINGS I WISH I HAD KNOWN BEFORE I GOT INTO WITCHCRAFT
all witchcraft is valid. don’t shit on people’s methods. any way you want to witch is beautiful and wonderful. absolutely anything can be magic if you want it to be.
that doesn’t mean you can take whatever the hell you want. don’t take things from closed cultures if you aren’t in the culture. hellenic gods? you’re chill. “smudging kits” from urban outfitters? no. don’t do it.
your meanings are your meanings. someone else might see a plant as one way, but that doesn’t make it the best way for you. witchcraft is personal. don’t let other people make your decisions.
be safe. don’t eat anything unless you’re 100% sure it is safe. don’t use magic instead of medicine. just don’t. mundane solutions are actually great! do your research before doing things, and make sure you understand how to protect yourself with wards before you do spirit work, curses, astral projection, etc.
don’t leave rationality behind. this is important. just because there might be something ghostly doesn’t mean there is. do not begin to see omens everywhere. don’t trust your life to a pendulum.
witchcraft is not a Super Serious Thing. it can be! but it doesn’t have to be. it can be casual. you can use pop culture. you don’t need special supplies or a whole room for rituals (though there’s nothing wrong with either of those!) don’t feel like you’re not a “real witch” because you aren’t constantly talking about astrological transits.
have fun. do things you want to do. learn cool stuff. meet other witches. if one of them is rude tell me so i can go kick their ass. this should be a nice and supportive community for people doing something they care about.
witches, pagans, and wiccans are not the same thing. witches do magic, pagans follow pagan religions, and wiccans follow wicca, a form of paganism.
don’t be afraid to be told you’re wrong. let people explain things. just be sure that they aren’t covering up your opinions, namely those meanings i talked about. suggestions are good.
learn learn learn. it doesn’t happen overnight. everyone continues learning. keep learning. more learning. yessss that learning. but if at any point you don’t enjoy learning about something? you probably should stop studying it and go try something else instead. look at number seven.
now go out and witch! i just know you’ll blow them all away and i am so happy you’ve decided to be a witch! which, by the way, is a gender neutral term.

How can I tell if someone has put a hurtful spell on me?
That’s a good question.. I’ve never had that experience, so I can’t really say. But I can probably help you figure it out. Maybe ask yourself a few questions:
-Do you know any witches? Cause if not, then it’s unlikely that they put a spell on you. It’s easier to do spells for people that you know, especially bad ones. Also, if you do know a witch, do he/she have experience with cursing others?
-What makes you think you have had a spell put on you? Having bad luck? Really sick and not getting well?
-When did this start happening? a week ago, a month ago? Sometimes spells can wear off after a while. Was it right after you pissed someone off (someone who might be a witch)? Was it right after you received a necklace/keychain/doll/other item from someone? They could have put the curse of that item.
If you really believe you have had a spell put on you and believe it comes from an item, destroy the item or throw it away. If you think you know who did it, politely ask them to lift it. Or you could go to someone you know who is a witch and see if they can figure out if you had a harmful spell put on you and get rid of it for you. (If the person knows you well enough or is a very experienced witch, they can tell by feeling your energy).
You can also refer to my Evil Eye posts on what the Evil Eye is, how to test for it, and how to get rid of it. There are other ways to get rid of it too, which I think I posted in another post. I’m not sure if the Evil Eye is different than any other harmful spell/curse, as I’ve never had any experience with these kinds of spells. But you can try that and see if it helps. I also have other spells for lifting curses which I will post soon, but I would not perform those spells unless you are absolutely sure that a curse has been placed on you. You would just waste energy on a spell that did nothing for you.
This is all I can really do for you. I’m sorry if it doesn’t help. Good luck!
I just love how I can barely even consume misophonia content (articles or just posts on here) without constantly worrying about seeing specific triggers mentioned and consequently developing said triggers. So fun 🤩 love how quirky my brain is!
Or when media created by non-sufferers will have the audacity to play a clip of [trigger] and then be like “did that bother you?? 🤨 congrats, suffer.”
Guys. I just realized that Lilo is putting a curse on her friends. But like, an actual curse. Vinegar is commonly used in curses, and pickles have vinegar. And then she has little figures of her “friends”, drawn with expressions. Then putting them in the pickle jar, and shaking it. Another sign of a curse. I don’t know why I just noticed this now, but lilo is a witch.
I bet she’s a sea witch.
Tea, and when to have it.
Miso isn’t my biggest problem anymore. I know you’re gonna be like,
“Bullh*ck, misophonia is the worst thing that ever happened to me, it’s ruined everything, ect.!!”
But, my young, young dudes, I have some news. Adulthood is surprising as h*ck and has a lot of bumps and turns and I never anticipated in my whole of angsteenager existence that there would be life after miso.
For example, if anyone’s watched the video (x) I posted a hot while ago, they’d see that I’ve come out as ftm transgender and I’ve left home. I got engaged in December to @living-with-miso, my longtime Tumblr crush and we’re getting married next month.
My type 3 Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) exploded into wondering each day if I can walk or use my hands.
My computer broke. I need to buy socks. The milk in the fridge is expired.
And I know that mostly sounds like,
“Gee, thanks Stephan, so you’re saying everything gets worse?”
but man, I actually would say I’ve never been happier.
You see, when you move out, you move away from the people who trigger you the most in the world: your family. You may have new people who trigger you, like a roommate, but eventually, you’re gonna be in a situation where you can more or less have total control over your environment. Make sure you choose a life partner that accepts every inch of you, and don’t settle for anything less.
When you grow up, you’ll be able to manage your life in a way you can control, to an extent. You literally don’t even have to attend classes in person anymore, almost anything is available online! Yeah, you’ll have days where you just want to rip your ears off and replace your hands with chainsaws because you need to attend job training, attend a family BBQ, or hurriedly make an Irish exit to said BBQ, but that’s not going to be the majority of your life anymore.
And that’s where I’m at. I’m out from the influence of more “adult” adults at the age of 22 and am finally the captain of my own life.
Which is terrifying, but empowering. I decide if I can attend gatherings, I decide if I want to leave, I decide if I want to stay inside and live on the internet, I decide if I can live with my partner, and I decide if I want to eat cookies for breakfast unless Ashley is home and and tells me no cookies for breakfast (#marriage).
And if anyone (other than my future wife) has a problem with the way I live my life or make decisions, guess what? I can decide to take my Scissors of H*ck You and cut them right the h*ck out of my beautiful rainbow life.
I may not have the power to decide whether or not I have misophonia, whether my hands work on any given day, or whether or not I have sensory meltdowns, but I can decide how I handle these things.
So I guess my point today is that miso life gets better once you’ve grown up. If you can make it that far, you’ll be happier. And god, I wish my teenage self had known how happy I would one day be. Thank god I decided to stick around.
So stick around, guys. Your life may look like shooty macaroni art, but it’s just practice at this point. One day, you’ll be Bob Ross and decide when and where your next happy little tree goes.
Stay Brave Out There, Stephan [soon-to-be] Vomacka
