New stuff. I call it lets get stoned. Mixed gem stones on heavy line, yeah go ahead hike and swim with them on. I sure do ;-)
My mama has been gone just over a year now. I'm so glad to have spent most of my life with her. Me as a child, adult, mother myself, and as a married woman with a couple more kids. The opportunity to have her help raise our children into their own adulthood was awesome. Yep truly blessed. And that old cat of hers is still with us and still missing ma as much as we do. Heart n soul filled with love that was my mama.
What do you think? I'd love to wear this all American display🤗
Funky blue Kyanite with fresh water pearls, crystal Quartz chips, and the mixed mop shell beads is the longest.
Somewhere off the road in the Southwest.
It's fun to do a change up to an existing piece. A friend purchased this beautiful woven beaded work but didn't care for the chain it was on, didn't think the leather cord I used worked either. So she found an old bead chip n turquoise heishi necklace she was tired of for me use to recreate the piece. I sure hope it more to her liking🙂
Finished a few more. Top 2 Layers of Abalone, shells n Apache tears. Mid is 1 strand abalone, turquoise n copper, with pottery shard. Bottom is 3 strands of abalone, turquoise, pearls, orange stone, crystals, carnelian focal n on end of leather for clasp.
Contemporary Jewelry Handmade in Northern California from the Highest Quality Natural MaterialsI like using strong beading wire, mixed metals, leather, I love turquoise, shells, various gemstones, crystals, bone, ceramic, acrylic beads and good strong crimp beads are a must. There are so many product options out there.I decided to limit my products to mostly North American regions and Mexico. I remember when I first started I purchased some Chinese turquoise and wasn’t too pleased. Then I learned a few of my vendors were selling me Chinese stuff too. There are some quality gemstones mined in China. However knowing the distance traveled made me reconsider and stay within our continent. It’s a big one anyway. Jewelry making helps me relax, I find it therapeutic. My back and fingers get sore but it’s all worth it when I see someone wearing something I’ve made. Darn right Joyous!
