Daddd I wanna sit with youuuu
I’m a bit busy but i guess you can.
IM GONNA CRY
Do you guys ever think,
when Percy dies, Grover will die at the same time. But unlike the others, they'll never be reunited in Elysium because Grover's a satyr who never get into Elysium, they turn into a tree.
And, if Annabeth is outlives Percy, she won't just grieve the love of her life but one of her best friends as well, one of the first people who believed in her, outside of luke and thalia.
One more thing, When Percy dies at least Annabeth will know she gets to see him again in Elysium but she'll also have to live with the knowledge that she'll never see Grover again even in death.
And if you don't want to think abt this, then:
Then don't think about her throwing away the collection of tin cans she and Percy probably kept for Grover.
Don't think about her using something from a tin can and thinking "I'll save this for Grover" and then realizing she'll never get to give it to him.
Don't think about her never being able to eat blue food or enchiladas again.
Don't think about her and Juniper holding each other and crying.
Don't think about Juniper momentarily hating Annabeth for getting to see her husband after she dies before forgetting all about her anger because they both lost their loves, damn it!
Don't think about Annabeth "Always Six Foot Ahead" Chase knowing death is approaching and making a list of what she wants to be burnt with so that she can give them to everyone who she has ever cared about. Adding "Tin Cans and Enchiladas" in the list before breaking down again.
Don't think abt Percy reaching Elysium, being greeted by all of his friends, looking around for grover before registering why he wasn't there.
Don't think about him mourning his best friend, his brother even when in Eternal Paradise.
Don't think about it.
i just use they/them for everyone if a person doesnt state their proffered pronouns

always an angel never a god.
imagine 7 year old annabeth becoming a child soldier and seeing her big sister die and thinking it was her fault. 14 year old luke seeing his younger sister sacrifice her life for his and annabeth’s and getting so angry at the gods, especially zeus for turning his daughter into a tree and hermes abandoning him and his mother when he could have easily helped. percy dragging his unconscious best friend up a hill then seeing his mother ‘die’ after being abused by gabe for so long and then becoming a soldier and basically a water boy for the gods. silena after finding out her boyfriend died and that its all her fault because shes helping luke, the traitor of camp. clarisse getting verbally abused by her father because shes a girl then seeing her crush die in her arms because she wouldnt help. jason after being abandoned by his mother at two and being raised by wolves then having his memory taken away and dying before he got to say goodbye to his best friend. piper after being sent away to a wilderness camp when all she wants is attention from her dad and then he gets kidnapped and almost killed. leo after gaea kills his mom and he has to run away from all of his foster homes. frank after his mom died in war and before he hoes to her funeral he finds out the only thing keeping him alive is a piece of firewood and his father is a god. hazel after dying and spending over 70 years in asphodel before her brother finds her and brings her back from the dead. nico after he realizes he’s gay but he’s in 1920 italy, his mother dies, gets his memories wiped, he’s dumped at the lotus casino, he gets out a goes to a military school, he develops a crush on percy, finds out he’s a demigod, his sister abandons him, he finds out his sister died and his crush tells him, he tries to hate him but he cant because it was his fault that his sister died, finds out his sister chose rebirth, finds out he has another sister and brings her back from the dead, goes back and forth from cj and chb because he doesnt belong, goes to tartarus willingly, gets trapped in a jar for 8(?) days, watches his crush and his crush’s girlfriend fall into tartarus, then not preventing an accidental su!c!de, then watching his best friend die.
always an angel never a god.
as far as everyone was concerned. percy had a year left to live in tbotl. and i know that we didn't see what that like for him because it didn't matter plot-wise. but i would have loved to read it. give me percy who is hardly speaking up at the dinner table. half-asleep and behind on last week's homework. give me percy who is clearly losing the will to live and trudging around the apartment like he doesn't care where his feet takes him. give me percy who is sneaking out of the house and visiting montauk. sitting along the beachside shore. wondering why his only purpose in life is that of a soldier and not of a kid.

STOPPPPPP
Friendly reminder that Jason never got to punch Leo for dying.
<33
lmao i cant wait to see that in season three of the show
PEREUS-
i just see this as a gen z moment
What if the reason that percy never felt emotional about being predicted to die in tlo and just being like “if i die, i die lol” and not trying to do something in his last days is because he’s left schools so many times and he’d said goodbye so many times to friends he made in his old boarding schools so this time this was nothing new to him?
In the graphic novels also (which is probably canon since rick must have worked on it) percy made a joke to annabeth casually that she will probably be happy once he’s dead since annabeth keeps calling him annoying?
I like where your head's at! I agree that Percy has grown so accustomed to losing what's important to him that learning he might die on his sixteenth birthday is just an addition to the list. I'd also argue that Percy nonchalantly stating 'if I die, I die' is because he's trying to focus on what really matters (saving the world) and because it scares him so much that he doesn't want to think about it.
