the way that half of this is about nico

as far as everyone was concerned. percy had a year left to live in tbotl. and i know that we didn't see what that like for him because it didn't matter plot-wise. but i would have loved to read it. give me percy who is hardly speaking up at the dinner table. half-asleep and behind on last week's homework. give me percy who is clearly losing the will to live and trudging around the apartment like he doesn't care where his feet takes him. give me percy who is sneaking out of the house and visiting montauk. sitting along the beachside shore. wondering why his only purpose in life is that of a soldier and not of a kid.

Percy is used to spending his nights alone. Sally would often have to work late, Gabe would disappear at night with no warning, and he never had any siblings of his own to share a room with. The only time he really had to share a room with someone was with Grover and Yancy, and even he would vanish and make excuses on where he had gone. Cabin 3 might be big and a bit lonely sometimes, but Percy is no stranger to being alone.

Thalia hates being alone, and even worse, sleeping alone. She's a big sister, and she's used to hearing laughter and whispering stories long into the night. Being alone makes her feel sick; all she can think about is the horrible time between Jason’s disappearance and finding Luke. Cabin 1 feels empty and cold, and every time she tries to close her eyes, she feels like she’s going to die all over again.

Are you a water is wet believer? (no judgement either way but i thirst for knowledge)

I've been waiting for this question! Okay, so:

Water adhesion is the process of water molecules sticking to other molecules, like how water can stick to hair or paper towels, which is how things get "wet". Water cohesion is the process of water molecules sticking to other water molecules or water-based substances, like when you add water to water. So, whether or not you believe water is "wet" is really based on if you consider water cohesion (attaching water to water) the same as making water wet. In which case, I do not. Thus, water is not wet. But if you disagree with me, I'm open to counterarguments!
