This body is totally imagined. As I sit here on the couch, with my eyes closed, I see images of the body, I feel sensations associated with it, and it all happens within my perception; there’s nothing external in it. I open my eyes, I look at my hands and feet, and these so-called parts of my so-called body are still images and sensations within my perception. I can separate them from the rest of my visual world and call them my body, but that separation is still an act of mind, and the images are always of a past, even if the past happened a nanosecond ago. They’re part of a movie of reality; they’re not reality itself. Why would I believe that a movie on the mind’s screen is real? Every time I try to focus on what is real about this body, it’s gone, and the “I” who focuses is gone too.
There’s nothing solid. Not only the dream but even the dreamer is forever gone. And the dreamed body—I sit it, I stand it, I walk it, I feed it, I brush its teeth, I dress it in clothes, I put it to bed at night and lift it from bed in the morning, and none of that is real. It’s all a projection of mind. To imagine that there is anything outside the mind is pure delusion.
Even physical pain is imagined. When you’re asleep, does your body hurt? When you’re hurting, and the phone rings, and it’s the call you’ve been longing for and you’re mentally focused on the conversation, there’s no pain. If your thinking changes, the pain changes.
Byron Katie
Hi I’m wondering you said this world is an imagination or imaginary, when you realised this how did you approach this world and how did you make “imagination” more real than when ur just daydreaming? Also when you said just be aware of ur dr and in my case I can only do it by visualising, does it get better? What I mean is, will I be fully aware to the point that it becomes physical or does it remain in the “imagination”? I understand when you say about both being imaginary and the same but I just can’t fathom it since when I visualise it’s more blurry and unclear than when I’m seeing here unless ur asking me to practice visualisation skills?
As soon as you see the world as it really is, nothing changes. You “change”. You see through all the illusions that you have created for yourself. The thing is that everything and everyone you see with human eyes is only you. The physical reality and the imagination are all just you. I just gave up the belief that physical reality is anything other than my imagination. There is no practice, there is no programming, just drop it. You'll see it for yourself when you stop thinking the senses are real. You still think that you are a human being who has to do something in order to have something. This is something that will keep you in a loop.
It doesn't matter if it's blurry and unclear, it's about how you approach everything. Are you doing it just to change your physical reality? It all boils down to the fact that you believe you HAVE TO do something in imagination to get something in the physical. You make one more important than the other. Just because the physical is in 4K doesn't mean it's real. The physical is as real as the dream you had last night.
I get it now. So it's about moving through experiences for the sake of the experience. For love of creation itself. Our ego desires are inspiration but they are not the end all be all. Egos are a beautiful creation, imo. I love them. It's important not to become obssed with our creations that we loose our true selves tho.
Like getting to a place where youre ready to move on from one ego experience for the next day ego experience, rather than resistance for the current experience itself by way of ego echoes...and only because you're blocking the true self, the true vehicle of creation.
Like the ego isn't even necessarily real lol. It's an echo chamber of past creations. The true self is real, is life itself. Like moving on from one painting to the next...the canvas and the paint aren't really alive...but they can be moving...just like music...
Ahh this is perfect. It's the only thing that makes sense. Freedom is the only thing that makes sense!

Hey sweet I was just wondering if you have any tips or tools other than affirmations to try and change beliefs because I struggle really bad with affirmations. No matter how hard I try to internalize them I always just feel like i’m “just saying words to myself” and not actually changing my beliefs. If you had any tips to help Id really appreciate it so much. 🙏🫶
Hey, I think it steems from the the idea that you are "changing your beliefs". You aren't saying affirmations to "change your beliefs". Instead, you're affirming to remind yourself of what you already have. You’re imposing your new, chosen reality onto the present.
One reason many people struggle with this is because they don't have a past experience to anchor their belief, you know, a reference. It can be difficult to trust that you can always wake up in your chosen reality if it feels like it's never happened before or if you've tried and "failed."
If this resonates with you, I recommend practicing revision.
What is revision? Revision is the act of changing something in order to improve or correct it. When we're talking about shifting, the law of assumption, manifestation, or non-dualism, it's important to remember that time itself is malleable, since it is a part of reality.
The point of revising the past isn’t just about altering events; the ultimate goal is to change your current self. Here's the thing: when you constantly look back at every “failed attempt”, whether that’s in shifting, manifesting, or anything else, you reinforce a belief in your mind that you're going to fail because that's the relationship you've built with those experiences, and with shifting itself! (Let me guess, everytime you go and do a method the first thoughts in your head are "I hope I successed this time" or "I hope it works, last time it didn't", rigtht?)
So, revision is not only about correcting the past in your favour; it’s about rewriting your present self, which reflects in your current reality. By changing your past self and your experiences, you change your current mindset and expectations.
But.. how do you become someone who can always wake up in your chosen reality? Someone that can shift whenever and wherever they want? Here’s how you can become a master shifter through revision:
1-Decide who you are and who you want to be. Are you someone who wants to be a master shifter? Do you want to wake up in your choosen reality (DR) every time? Shift with only intention? Decide who you were and, most importantly, who you are.
2-Become that person internally. Remember, the external world doesn’t have the power to change you. It’s your inner self that creates reality, not the other way around. Think of yourself as the foundation of a house: everything that happens, every shift, is built upon you. You are the origin of your experiences.
3-Rewrite your past experiences. From this moment forward, every time you remember a “failed attempt,” you actually succeeded in shifting. It’s easy to think, "I haven’t shifted before, so it won’t happen now". But the truth is, every time you did a method, you opened your eyes, and you did actually shift. The times you thought you didn’t shift were actually moments when you did. It’s just that now, you’re going to apply the same energy and mindset to shift consciously, again and again.
4-Persist in your new reality. The most important part, this is your new truth. Reality works for you, not against you. The idea that you could “fail” is ridiculous because it no longer matches who you are. What about all those times you actually shifted or manifested effortlessly? Exactly. Failure doesn't exist in your new reality because it doesn't align with your new self, it doesn't align with reality itself!
5-Check your dominant thoughts. Whether you realize it or not, you’re always persisting in certain beliefs and assumptions. It’s the same way you’ve been persisting in the old belief that shifting is difficult. Now, use that power to your advantage. Persist in your new belief: that shifting is easy, natural, and something you’re already capable of.
How do you shift on command? Like what is the process you go through?
Well, honestly, there's not much of a process. As I said in my pinned post, it was all about changing my mindset and focusing my awareness on the fact that I'm already a master shifter.
When I want to shift to one of my realities, I close my eyes, I simply think, "okay, I want to be at [insert X reality here]" I think of where I "left of" and I'm there. I know its going to happen because I feel it in my heart, really strongly. I don't force the feeling obviously, its something that happens naturally. I know that I shifted because... well, imagine you are in your room, you close your eyes and go to the living room. Even if your eyes are closed, you still know you are in the living room, right? Also, as I said, there's no process. When I shift from one reality to another, there isn't like... lights, or weird visions or any "symptoms", its instant. One moment I'm here and the next I'm there.
The same for wanting to wake up in my reality. I remember where I "left of", what I'm going to do when I wake up and then go to sleep.
One time thought, I actually shifted with my eyes open. I was using my phone, and I was like "wait, I could also shift even while doing something. I don't have to stand up or have my eyes closed". So I started imagining using my phone in one of my other realities, and my vision started to shake so fast, like when I say fast I mean FAST, and the two realities were overlapping (like when you overlap two images you know?) and then this reality started to fade while the one I shifted to became clearer and clearer. I repeat, this process was ridiculously fast, it all happened under seconds.
do you manifest the same way as you would shift? i dunno how to apply this to manifesting
Manifesting implies a process in which you don't have something in order to get that something. But there is no process, because everything already is. Just become aware of the things that are already yours. That's it.
And yes, most of the things I 'want' come effortlessly without having to go through a process. It all depends on whether you identify with your true nature or the false self. The false self is always aware of lack. The false self thinks it is separate from the rest of the world. But you are the whole universe. Lack is just an illusion that makes you seemingly wait for your "desires". You create it yourself. Just as separation is an illusion. You created it all.
If you want a house, know that it is already your house, because you are the house (just a form of your consciousness). Like your right foot. It's yours, you wouldn't question it. Know it.
I've been consuming shifting/loa/void info FOR SO LONG, hoping to finally find something that resonates with me. Never really liked shifting methods or the void (it just sounds like another complicated method) and I always kinda half assed them cause I didn't enjoy the process & they didn't really make sense to me. I got into loa & I liked the "imagination is your real reality, the outer world is just a mirror" but tbh I just never FULLY understood it, something still felt wrong about it. Then I found your blog, and holy shit everything just clicked, it made me reflect on all the information I read beforehand and gain a new perspective. It feels like everyone in this community is just way too focused on 'this reality' and my problem is the same too. Looking back on all of my previous attempts, they were all either focused on "forcing" the shift or on the process and how close I felt I was. I never truly put my awareness into my dr cause it was always on the process and my body/symptoms. Thank you S0 SO much for your posts. Now I know what to do and I'm finally ready to quit social media and stop putting importance on this reality.
Just a Lil note: I know I just said I'm gonna stop consuming but I was thinking about something you said "the mind doesn't even exist" very excited to see what you mean by that.
Hi! 💕 I'm sorry for replying so late, and I don't know if you'll ever see this response, but thank you anyway for taking the time to write me this ask. I'm so glad I was able to help you with my posts. It means a lot to me! I remember the days when I tried so hard to enter the void state. One time I laid still for 4 hours and nothing happened lol. I hated it, but I wanted a better life. Looking back on it now or reading some void posts here on tumblr always makes me cringe. I put so much effort into something that was effortless, but I didn't know any better at that time. Nothing you "see, feel, hear.." is what it seems, and that's the beauty of it. The only reason we are here is to enjoy life and do what we want. The self is only entertaining itself.
Now is the only time that will ever exist. Now you are pure awareness; you have never been anything else, but you identify with the mind that distinguishes between imagination and physical reality. Your mind says that physical reality is real and imagination is fake. There is no difference between the house you “see” in your imagination and the one you “see” with your eyes. Both are imaginary. You are only pure awareness that is aware of all of this. If there were no mind interpreting things, would there be a difference between your imagination and physical reality? Think about it. The mind only thinks, based on the senses, that one must be real and the other fake. You are not the senses - you are only aware of them. When you dream you are also aware of the senses. How can you hear, see and smell in your dreams? You are just aware of it as awareness.
But now comes the interesting part: So, if imagination and physical reality are both imaginary. How can the mind be real? You are also aware of the mind, which interprets these senses and everything that seems to be happening. The mind is just a form of the self, so it's not real and it's imaginary too.
Past and future are also just concepts (in the mind), nothing more. The past never happened; it is only what the mind interprets through “memories”. The “past” is always projected into the now because you are aware of it. When you become aware of another past, it must be your experience in the now. Time is an illusion, completely man-made. You have to let go of everything you ever believed. None of it is real, only you are as pure awareness. 😊
Our “life” is basically like a dream, and you have to become lucid. There is no difference between the dreams we have at night and the life we lead during the day. Everything is imaginary. Everything is self. That's why it's also called “spiritual awakening”. You wake up from this mortal life. It was never real in the first place.
IMAGINATION IS NOT THE TRUE REALITY. AWARENESS IS THE ONLY TRUE REALITY.
Awareness is the foundation of everything. The source of everything you experience. Everything you are aware of is just a form of your consciousness. Everything is one. Everything is YOU! :-)
Hi Soph, It's D! :) where do I even start, I've had so many realizations, talking to mySelf. it has been nothing but the best, allowing my true Self to guide me, and not letting this persona block it out, like it has been doing for years now. the best thing I've experienced is, truly relying on mySelf. These are a couple of realizations that I'd like to share: - The characters are here to help YOU (self) experience things, the same way you are choosing this character over and over again you can choose a new one, because you are NOT the character, you’re Self, free from experiencing whatever, not bounded by a persona. - You are Self, there’s no convincing yourself you are it, you have always been it. - The world is an illusion, the people around you; everything - There is no such thing as 'struggling', everyone’s already realized, they just block Self out, well… their persona blocks Self out, to be precise. My advice would be just to surrender, let go, just BE. How has the dream been for you, Soph? sending lots of love your way. :))
Yess just BE 💕💕 everything is perfect already!! You never lack!!!!
My dream has been amazing, very main character-y hehe 😭💘
Thank you for the advice in the name of everyone; happy to hear from you again ♡
Heyy i'm the anon who sent that long ask, thanks for answering my question. You explain things so well, your posts are very easy to read. For some reason I feel connected to them :) so what i'm understanding is that you need to just stop identifying with the "ego" and accept that you're only the awareness, not connected to any of it, just experiencing it. All you have to do is to be aware of what you want and let go of the things you don't need (this reality for example) and this is very easy since neither the ego or reality IS you or connected to you, right? Shifting is only hard or takes long when you identify as the ego, but when you're only awareness all you have to do is become aware of it and it's instant.
(So sorry for rambling again, I can't help it since the topic is very interesting to me, hope it's not a bother to you)
I really try my best to explain the things I know, but sometimes I forget that many of you don't know the basics of ND and I have to figure out how to explain it as simply as possible :-D
First of all, you as awareness are connected to everything, because everything is you. The phone you hold in your hand, the friends you have, the food you ate. It's all you - just forms of your consciousness. The body you are aware of, the family or the people around you - they are all you. They all exist because of you. Nothing is ever separate from you. Any world or reality that you can imagine is just you. The source behind every seeming appearance is only you. Once you realize that nothing is not you, and give up the separation between the physical and the imagined, you as awareness can transform any form into anything you desire in an instant. You will realize that your life has always been a lucid dream.
When it comes to the “ego”: There's a quote by Rupert Spira that I really like:
“We do not have to eradicate a separate self in order to be knowingly eternal. There is no separate self to be eliminated. To attempt to dissolve or annihilate a separate self simply perpetuates its illusory existence. To discipline the separate self is to maintain the separate self.”
Calling the false self "an ego" makes it more important than any other form of your consciousness. But why should the ego be more important than any other “object” in your apparent physical reality? IT IS ALL YOU. Don't give importance to the ego and its thinking, but please don't ignore your responsibility either. There is a difference between indifference and ignorance. Simply notice everything that is happening around you. Be present. Stay in that awareness until you are fully aware of yourself. Once you do that, the rest is effortless. You can shift with just a thought. For someone who hasn't fully accepted that they are already pure awareness (which is absurd, otherwise you wouldn't be aware of reading this answer), they should really put their awareness on their DR and there's no way, you won't make it.
Please read this success story, it perfectly describes how you can align your awareness with your “desired life”:
<also response to the question "What happens if we die non-realised?">
King Bharat said, "The whole Earth is mine, but when I die, I will belong to the Earth." This means that because of attachments, one again becomes bound. It is therefore better to surrender everything from the beginning. The object before the mind at the time of death decides what will be the nature of next birth. The desire directs the next progression after death. Therefore do not get involved in the world, because as soon as you deviate from your own Being, you will fall into the trap. Don’t forget your true Self. Your own body is sure to fall one day so why fear its death even today? One who is free from the slavery of the world is the real Saint. Recognize that the entire world is perishable. Let it perish today instead of tomorrow! Don’t care for it! Don’t bother about this world of the five elements. Only if you live like this, will all of the eight Siddhis be pleased with you.
The nature of the powers of your Being is eight-fold:
(1) The Power to become minute like an atom,
(2) Power to become huge,
(3) Power to be very light in weight,
(4) Power to get whatever is desired,
(5) Power to have control upon animate and inanimate things,
(6) Power to wield tremendous strength,
(7) Power to enjoy any pleasure of the senses as wished,
(8) Power to make anybody do as you wish.
Your life as it is, is very petty. However, if you remain in unity with your Self, you will get everything as soon as the will arises in the mind. Those who do not deviate from their Being are "My True Devotees." Therefore, remain so, with all of your mind, body, and speech.
