For Filipino class last week, I made a poem inspired by Inanimate Insanity’s finale! (the text on the right is a DIRECT TRANSLATION so they’re not accurate word-by-word)

I feel like they would be two people in love, Suitcase being aro and Knife being ace, and their love doesn't require physical affection they literally just enjoy each other's company and like to yap and show each other pretty stuff. They would gift each other cool rocks and flowers to show that they still love the other very much
Edit: like. They love each other on a level above and beyond. It's not romantic, but not fully platonic either. I've experienced it and I can't describe it otherwise. They call each other platonic partners but they're actually very gay but they're also not gay at the same time they just care about each other very much. They so grew in love throughout the show I can't cries sobs explodes

This is my second time trying to make an animation on Adobe Animate! Here's another creation I made related to Knifecase and Fruits Basket!
god bless mumbo life series. i'd say "he's here for a good time not a long time" but i'm not fully convinced he's here for a good time either. he's here to panic for like five episodes, try really hard to lava and/or explode people, and then die and go "huh well that was all rather a lot wasn't it. maybe i was a bit over my head and shouldn't do that" and then do it all again the exact same way the next time. no one is doing it like him because why on earth would you do it like him. 10/10 no notes,

Knife's design has been through the ringer LMAO I was originally going to go with bloodhunter for him, but I thought he doesn't actually use blades that often despite being a blade, so I switched him over to Fighter. Barbarian also fits him. As you can see, I also changed the silhouette of his dragonborn face to match his canon silhouette ig? I'm still messing around with everyone's designs, but I'll probably leave it sandbox for a while. I think Candle and Suitcase's designs are pretty much solid though

did you know why mumbo doesn't want to pvp?
because he's just bad at it? no. actually, he was good at pvp. everything is a result of just one bad fight.
this clip is from mumbo's Hermitcraft Ultra Hardcore: Episode 2 - Worst. Partner. Ever., uploaded on sept 15th 2014 (the name of the episode already tells a lot about what mumbo thought of himself in a hardcore pvp survival game 10 years ago).
mumbo opens up to his teammate sl1pg8r about his experience with pvp after ultrahardcore -- UHC -- competition at an irl event eurogamer expo 2013.
Mumbo: "I should probably bring this up. You know, I mention September the 19th [2013], the last time I've played UHC? I did a pretty decent job, okay? I got into the final, and it was being broadcasted on a re-e-eally big screen, right? And I wasn't used to playing on their keyboards, okay, and I was one of the last two, so I was feeling the pressure a little bit, and, obviously, I was at Eurogamer, people knew who I was, so I had some-- some fans who were watching. And I saw the last guy. I charged up to him. And then I threw my sword on a floor. And the commentator said these exact words, he said: "And Mumbo is flying in towards the last person, and-- oh. Oh. That's a bit of a strange technique." Oh, so embarrasing. Obviously, he completely destroyed me. I got absolutely ruined. And I had to just sort of. Stand up from my chair and just blend into the crowd. I wasn't sticking around. And since then I haven't touched PvP."
in autumn of 2013, cc!mumbo was just 17 years old. can you -- just for a second -- imagine the pressure on a teenage boy competing on a big adult euro gaming convention (given how toxic gaming community usually is and how much worse it was then)?
the expectations? the disappointment? the audible reaction of the crowd when he misclicked? it's cruel.
no surprise he doesn't want it to repeat ever again. he holds expectations for him as low as possible -- for his audience, friends and enemies. he says that he's bad at pvp as if he was naturally bad at it. maybe he believes in it himself after all these years.
but can you imagine what could have been if he won?
or even if he didn't win, but simply didn't drop his sword?
for his character, all it took was just shaky hands on a swordsmanship tournament -- and his fear of people and public mistakes.

oh, that's a hard question. i mean, honestly? i don't think i would. i still enjoy the memories i have from season one for the most part.

Ok am I the only one who doesn’t really like how the fandom treats suitcase? Specifically some of the people who want her to win.
Everywhere I look I’m seeing “suitcase deserves to win because she’s been through a lot”, “suitcase should win she had hallucinations” etc, when her ENTIRE ARC was centered around rising above that.
In episode 16, Baseball went easy on her when she revealed she was having hallucinations, and that’s basically how a lot of suitcase fans are treating her, as if her trauma is a reason for her to win/give her a break, like it’s a REWARD or something. Nickel didn’t treat her like a friend and took advantage of her, and her arc was becoming confident and standing up for herself, BREAKING FREE OF THE EXPECTATIONS EVERYONE HAD OF HER, and now so many people are just ignoring that & belittling her character, putting those expectations BACK on her like nothing changed, and it’s just so infuriating??
ofc the majority of suitcase fans aren’t like this. But I’ve seen a lot of youtube comments especially do this. And it’s sad bc it’s just COMPLETELY fundamentally misunderstanding her entire character. By saying suitcase should win PURELY bc she went through a lot of shit you are running over her character development with a bull dozer and it is Not Okay.
Suitcase is my bbg and u should take to heart what MePhone said at the end of ii16, (might not be exact) “who will win, the strong one or the weak one? Which is which?” Both Knife and Suitcase went through very different things, their arcs mirror each other and that is what is beautiful about it!! ppl should recognize that although she isn’t perfect she should NOT be patronized just because of her character. She is there to WIN and COMPETE, she is on equal level to Knife, and is not there to be pitied by her fans.

So. I have some things to say about this scene, and in particular this piece of dialogue between the finalist duo and cobs.
I've been thinking about how inherently unsettling the way cobs says this is - "you both are safe", "there has to be a winner". cobs basically views the show as if he was the one who made it, and treats the contestants like characters. he has shown through 'killing' the contestants that he does not see them as real people, and acts like he’s the show’s... producer or director, toying with/manipulating MePhone and seeing himself as pulling the strings behind the curtain. Brian Koch said during one of his livestreams that he even has favorite 'characters' (Knife and Cheesy), which just dehumanizes them more.
So the fact that Cobs is talking about how he basically has plans for the season finale, to give it a ‘proper ending’ - plans for Knife and Suitcase, when he doesn't even view them as real and simply as just an extension of MePhone's immature nature, cannot mean anything good. He's keeping them both 'safe' only to finish the show, which who KNOWS how he intends to end it!! Maybe he hangs the finalists and the other contestants' safety over MePhone's head, blackmailing him into coming back to Meeple Headquarters. Maybe he pits the finalists against each other in some messed up way, maybe even violent! Maybe he manipulates the duo into being infuriated at mephone, and he leverages that anger against him. Would he even let them go back to the hotel?? They're stuck in Meeple Headquarters basically, stuck with HIM.
Cobs is essentially showing that he is in control now, that he intends to end the show HIS way. He even explicitly SAID that the only reason they aren’t in danger (from MePhoneX) was because there 'has to be a winner'. And for me that just gives off extremely Unsettling Vibes.
Idk if this makes any sense - basically, the knifecase duo are probably in trouble, and I am ANXIOUS to see what cobs is cooking up for them.
