Happy Birthday, Once Again, You Amazing Little Game~

This is why I love MagiRevo so damn much.

It breaks so many isekai tropes in unique ways, and the development (and eventual reversal) of Anis's and Euphie's characters is really, really engaging. The fact that Anis is at such a low point here--to the extent that she almost admits to hating herself--is what makes Euphie's reassurance so powerful, and their kiss (GOD, their kiss 💖) is such an immense wave of relief not only to Anis, but to the audience.

There will be haters who always bicker about sapphic/lesbian relationships and kisses being pandering or fanservice-y (and they are always wrong 😌) but THIS is a shining example of how a yuri kiss can be so emotionally-packed AND vitally help the plot.

I wonder why not so many isekais even tackle this topic.

It's my 10 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

The world has become a bit of a maddening place since I joined. But I was also merely the tender age of 16, so perhaps a part of it is just my worldview shifting as I became an adult.

A hell of a lot has happened to this platform specifically, as well. From porn bans to bots to bigot footholds. But I made some pretty nice pals along the way. I wish I'd kept in touch with more of them, but that's kind of been a problem I've had since I was very small; great at making friends, slow at keeping up with them.

A whole decade of social media... It's hard to say what parts I regret and what parts I don't.

Could I have focused more on my academics if I didn't get into social media at all? Considering my ADD and depression, chances looked a bit slim.

If I had somehow managed, would I be in a better place than I am now? Considering the state of both the gaming and animation industries, quite unlikely.

I still don't exactly know where I want to go in life. I've become hesitant to dream of opportunities where things work out, since I've had so many cases where those dreams popped like bubbles. I have fictional worlds for both games and cartoons, but I feel like I have to keep holding onto them so tightly; I want to find a circle where I can discuss them and finally get the creative collaboration I've been yearning for for the past eight years, where I can become part of a team with all this, but I'm terrified of how much these realms have grown to become so anti-story and pro-censorship. I'm terrified of those who would feign friendly acceptance, only to proceed to tear my worlds apart and either demand that it all be made their way, or leave it in such a development/legal stasis that it essentially is killed.

But back to Tumblr.

This truly has been an artists' platform, and even in its greatly deteriorated state, there are still such wonderful creators of all media all over the place.

I shall not leave unless I am forced to. I wish I could stand with you all and hold you tight and feel your love.

The Earth will spin and live on just as she always has. May we all live with her.
