THANK YOU! Now I need to load up Tumblr on a computer XD
Edit: I did!
Sides: *eating breakfast together*
School bus: *drives past*
Remus: *sees that it's empty*
Remus: This bus empty,
Remus, miming jerking a steering wheel to the side: SKEET
Remus: *continues eating breakfast*
Patton, the only one not used to this: ???
Patton: Hey Logan, what house do you think I would be in?
Logan: Oh well I'd say Hufflepuff
Patton: Why?
Logan, confused that he asked for elaboration: Well, Hufflepuffs are known for being friendly and loyal and liking a sense of community and family... Also your need to follow morals exactly and get confused because you don't know what morally right sometimes seems the most Hufflepuff to me...
Patton: Oh, that makes sense
Roman: What house would I be?
Logan, realizing they actually want to hear him rant about his hyperfixation, lighting up: Well—
Roman: (sneaking around for weeks, trying to catch Virgil listening to 'embarrassing' music)
Roman: *hears faint music*
Roman, quietly: Yes!
Roman: *follows music*
Roman: *peeks into Virgil's room through camera lenses*
Virgil: *in a crop top and short shorts, cleaning up his room, also dancing and singing along*
Virgil:
That's how we come and go
That's how we roll, roll
With a little heart and soul
yeah, yeah, yeah
Roman: *lights up bright red, frozen*
Virgil:
One love, I won't forget it
One life, I won't regret it
One chance for one last dance tonight
toniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
Roman: *deletes recording, backs away, sinks down into his room*
Roman: *screeches into pillow*
Janus: Can you preheat the apartment? I'm on my way home
Virgil: What are you banana bread?
Janus: Be very careful with what you say next.
Remus: One cactus.
Patton: No. No, put the cactus down. No cacti in the pumpkin cookies.
I feel like that could be for a few reasons, these are the ones that make the most sense to me:
1. Logan's speaking for the fans, as Apollo is the god of prophecy/oracles, and we're definitely wishing there was more orange side stuff especially considering it was 'prophesied' by the fans that Logan and the Orange side would be connected/Logan would be the Orange side
2. Logan's referring to how Apollo is the god of truth/knowledge and Logan (truth/knowledge) was really ignored that episode
3. Apollo, being the 'averter of evil,' could have kept Remus at bay
4. Apollo, being the god of healing/health, could have helped C!Thomas's mental state
Bonus, kind of joking, kind of not:
5. The orange side's name is Apollo and Logan knows him
6. Logan is referring to himself because Apollo is the hottest god (pun intended)
But since Apollo is the god of just about everything it's gonna be really hard to know what he meant until Thomas tells us
Does anyone have any thoughts on the line “If only Apollo had more influence today” ?
Im just slightly confused by it…. Aphrodite makes sense to reference as the goddess of love, but why Apollo? Music and the sun and archery and healing and stuff? Why is that the god Logan chooses to reference? I might just be missing something obvious lol
Virgil: Figures out where the exits/entrances are (just in case)
Logan: Figures out where the bathrooms are (practical)
Janus: Figures out where the outlets in commonly-access rooms are (practical)
Patton: Figures out if there are pets/where the pets are (a necessity)
Roman: Figures out which common-accessed window has the best view (harmless?)
Remus: Figures out where all the doors lead to (why)
Unstoppable force (Patton's love and affection and want to know more about him) vs immovable object (Virgil not wanting to open up to anyone about his past with the dark sides)
- Jeff Goldblum as Zeus
- A disabled actors play a disabled characters (Mat Fraser & another secret one [because spoilers])
- A trans actor plays a trans character (I won't say which one since it's kind of a spoiler)
- Set in modern times, uses characters from old myths but isn't a simple retelling; it's a whole new story
- All your favs are there (Prometheus, Daedalus, Persephone, Dionysus, Cassandra, Medusa, Charon, Ariadne, the Fates, the Furies, just to name a few)
- Speaking of Persephone, she and Hades are actually in love (the version of the myth which I know much of you love)
- Gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss Hera (as in, she literally does all those things)
- The gods' actors' ages actually make sense, they didn't cast solely young people or make young people look older; you've got Zeus (72), Hera (63), Hades (61), Persephone (56), Poseidon (56), Dionysus (27), you get the idea
- Killer soundtrack
- Actual realistic queer characters/representation in a natural, unforced way
- Enjoyable story and comedic but also has depth (I binge-watched it in a day)
- Not a huge commitment (8 episodes of about 50 minutes each)
- Have you ever thought "What would the Ancient Greek gods be doing in modern times?" This show answers that question!
- It wasn't renewed for a second season due to viewership, so if the views explode, maybe they'll renew it and I can find out what happens next (I know it's not likely, but I can dream; besides, if just one person watches and enjoys it, then this post will have been worth it)
Y'all ever read a really good fic and lie on your bed making that squeal/whine noise in the back of your throat hugging a pillow while tears in the corners of your eyes dry because oh god it was so good and
He/they (both equally good)I love asks, requests, general interaction, and stuff like that!Mostly various fandom stuff, I'm just having a good time and enjoying myselfI hope I can make you smile :)
