According to the lovecraft wiki theres also a Darkness but I don't know much of them, nor the stories they're from (hell, they don't even have an appearances page)

Is the Mother Darkness Shub-Niggurath?

She's the only eldritch god I can think of explictly shown as female, and a mother no less. Some associations with black and darkness, being The Black Goat of The Woods and all

She's also dead in the present, but Arthur's in the past, is he destined to kill her?

Plus, from the transcript:

MALAM: How? ARTHUR: Well, how-how do I stop her? MALAM: She cannot be killed by normal weapons. And even if you did manage to destroy Mother Darkness, it would only bring about her true form.  ARTHUR: Her true form? 

My only counterpoint in this is like,,, she was wiped from reality, I don't remember off-hand if it was from the past like she never existed? But her murals were still there, and I don't remember what episode that was in
