Lapidot Week daty 4: “Garnetswap” AU
My fan-fusion doesn’t have much in common with Garnet, so I just imagined her having her own episode in the style of “Garnet’s Universe” (that episode is so cute!!)

Been working on her personality while I’ve been indisposed by my terrible body
Axinite is fun loving and very much happy to be around whenever she’s formed. Because she doesn’t always take things as seriously, others often dismiss her abilities when in reality she’s a very skilled fighter and a quick thinker. She’s a creative thinker and often has out of the box solutions for any problems she faces. Her creative thinking also helps when it comes to her weapon set. She can make any weapon she can think of using Amethyst’s whip and Peridot’s ferrokinesis including shaping metal into blades and straightening and strengthening the whip itself to use as polearms. Loves annoying Pearl

Ever wanted a guide to which Steven Universe comics and books have your favorite characters in them?
People get excited when their faves are featured in supplementary media. The trouble is, some people mostly enjoy the show with a focus on their faves and would rather not bother with stuff that doesn’t float their boat, or maybe they’d rather prioritize what they buy to include only their specialized interests.
Nerd to the rescue! Here is a list of supplementary media (books, graphic novels, comics) categorized by who’s in it. (If you save this post, save the original, not a reblog, because I will add to it.)
For simplicity’s sake, keep the following in mind:
You can assume Steven is in every comic, so I will not be listing him.
If the story is mostly about the entire Crystal Gems team on some kind of mission, I will not list it for each individual character. I am mainly listing the stories under a character’s section if and only if they seem like the central character or if its content would especially delight fans of that character.
An exception to the above: Rare characters. I know even a tiny glimpse of certain rare Fusions and bit parts by certain Homeworld Gems might be of interest to some of you nerds.
If you want to know if the issue is about a certain ship, you can just cross-reference which characters are in the same issues together and hope for the best, or see my summaries.
If you do not see a character mentioned as being in a comic on this list, it doesn’t mean they’re not in the comic. It just means it isn’t really about them.
Frequently, comic covers do not match the content inside. I am focusing this list on content, not on cover art. If you’re collecting for cover art, feel free to just buy anything with your faves on it, but don’t get confused if it’s the other way around and a comic I say is about your fave doesn’t have your fave on the cover.
There are categories of media and I urge you to avoid getting them mixed up if you’re trying to buy or read this content.
Books I will name by their titles.
Graphic novels I will name by their titles and “OGN” volume number.

For purposes of this list, I am ignoring the trade paperback compilations and only naming the individual issues that would be collected in them, with the exception of shorts that ONLY appear there. You can do the math and figure out which individual issues are in each trade paperback if you prefer to collect that way:
Original Comics are in Believe in Steven (Volume 1, 1-4) and Keep Beach City Weird (Volume 2, 5-8).
Ongoing Comics are in Warp Tour (Volume 1, 1-4), Punching Up (Volume 2, 5-8), Field Researching (Volume 3, 9-12), Just Right (Volume 4, 13-16), and Find a Way (Volume 5, 17-20).
Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems has its own four-issue single volume
Harmony has its own five-issue single volume

FUSIONS!
Some new pieces to add to my fusion series! It’s been my goal for a while to make a series of fusion pieces that capture both the character of the fusions as well as the nature of the relationship they embody. These are more simplified versions of concepts I’ve had for a while, but I still hope to make a full collection with bigger, full illustrations.
I will have available as stickers and mini prints at ACEN and MomoCon!

The new rubber bracelets from Hot Topic feature a “Crystal Gems” set in a rainbow. I’m modeling it here with some shots of my other bracelet collections, attempting to squeeze all of them on even though I do not have enough arm for the purpose. Some people just want to watch the world burn.
Obviously there are a couple little issues with the new bracelets:
To get the rainbow, they had to assign someone who wasn’t yellow to the yellow stripe, so Pearl was the closest they could get. But what were they gonna do, leave Pearl out and put Topaz on it?
It’s referred to on Hot Topic’s site as “STEVEN UNIVERSE CRYSTAL GEMS RUBBER BRACELET SET.” Jasper would at this time resent being included in a Crystal Gems collection.
Obviously no one has their latest look, but Garnet’s is her early Season 1 outfit! Amethyst is as usual a few reformations ago. It’ll be neat if and when they update the stock art they’re putting on merch and release some stuff with the new outfits on them, though I’m honestly happy with any version of them. :)

Cryptozoic released a neat article going in-depth about the upcoming SU trading cards! Here’s the highlights:
The cards are expected to release in June/July.
A hobby box contains 24 packs, with each pack containing 5 cards. 1 autograph card and 1 sketch card are included per hobby box.
There’s a 72-card base set, featuring episode images (fancy for “screenshots”) from every season. 3-4 of these base set cards are in each pack
There are 4 chase sets: Totally Fabricated Bubbled Gems, Crystal Gem Friends, Fusions, and Greatest Hits
‘Totally Fabricated Bubbled Gems’ are rare cards embedded with a swatch, allowing to to “feel” the gems of your favorite characters from the show! These are randomly inserted
‘Crystal Gem Friends’ features members and allies of the Crystal Gems, in front of the Temple Door. There are 9 to collect, and each features deco foil on the character names and card frames. These cards appear in roughly 1:3 packs.
‘Fusions’ features several of the fusions we’ve seen on the show. There are 9 to collect, and each features deco foil on the character names and card frames. These cards also appear in roughly 1:3 packs.
Last but not least, we have ‘Greatest Hits’. This set features 9 cards cut into the shape of a vinyl sleeve and record, with covers for several iconic songs from the show! These will also be in 1:3 packs.
In addition to those, you also have autograph cards and sketch cards! Sketch cards are one-of-a-kind cards featuring art from several talented artists working with Cryptozoic!
Additionally, Rebecca Sugar herself has done a handful of unique sketch cards for this set! Sketch cards appear in 1:24 packs.
And, last but not least, there’s also autograph cards! These feature autographs from Rebecca Sugar and the cast of the show! These are also in 1:24 packs
Bunch of ideas for Rupphire reforms Wedding inspired, Concept art inspired, Misc, Cowboy inspired I gave them Silver and Bronze elements on a couple to match their wedding rings so like, Silver + Bronze = Gold (Garnet’s visor) idk it made sense to me
