By the way what the hell is Leo's deal with impersonating officers of the law
Like bro has been in 2 goddamn chapters and both of them have him impersonating a cop and being the best at impersonating said cop.
It's bc of his misleading boyish whimsy and thirst for power to abuse isn't it. He's too morally corrupt they have to make him a cop bc nothing else makes sense
Tokyo Debunker EP. 15 spoilers, for the third time.
IVE BEEN MISLEAD.
THE WHOLE TIME.
THEY CONVINCED ME. FOR SO LONG. THAT HAKU WAS THE SUSPICIOUS ONE. Obv he's still extremely suspicious but.
I KEPT FORGETTING ABOUT SUBARU. HE'S ALSO SO SUSPICIOUS.
So. Three suspicious thingamajigs. Maybe four.
One. Violent abuse? Gonna need some elaboration on that. The tree thing? Weird. His insistence on distancing himself from Lyca? Weird.
Two. Hakuuuuuu. Haku. In general, really. So much about Haku. I mean I had assumed he was in either Frostheim or Vagastrom before since he and Tohma had been in the same house before. Obv Frostheim, so that didn't surprise me.
He's so. ???? Like???? Yk what I mean? Haku is so. How to say. Clearly up to something yet charming enough to make it seem unimportant? Hell, not just make it seem unimportant, make it seem like a good thing.
He is suspicious as HELL, he's been pushing Zenji to get famous instead of doing what he enjoys, he's actually been pretty odd about Zenji in general, Rui was oddly cooperative in getting Mao to follow Haku, before saying "some coincidence." After they left. Also he absolutely used his Stigma- whatever that may be- on those two girls, why else would he push for taking a nap?
Speaking of naps- Three, what's up with Subaru? In the beginning of the episode, I mean. I don't think it's mentioned much at all after that.
Four, the wind still wasn't explained. End of the episode and nothing. I think. Maybe I glossed over it, but I don't think so.
Five. I guess there were more than four. Five, I had assumed Jiro was in a coma since the clash bc of some attack or smth, did he, like, try to off himself? Zenji said he didn't want to "miss another SOS" which means either Jiro's chronic illness had been showing signs long before he was in a coma, or the coma was caused by himself.
Anyway, if MC had a year back in September (EP.1) and it's January now (EP.15) that would mean we probably have another 8 months in-game aka (3 eps per in-game month) (3 months IRL per month in game) two years IRL until endgame!
I'm sure there's more mysteries I've forgotten about over the course of playing this episode, but either way, yk.
Spoilers for episode 7 of Tokyo Debunker (typing suggestions wrote this this time)
I love him. And the tree is getting better!!! Yay!!!
I'm sorry, but the whiplash going from "we're breaking into a hospital" to "the love tree is healing" to "slacker and paralegal talk ramen" is killing me.
"oh, I'm just a clerk. The manager is over there." And he points to a fuckin cat. I swear Cats are like the lizard people of Darkwick Campus. Students are chatting in the hall like "I hear we're having a sub today" "I swear to God if the sub is another goddamn cat I'm gonna lose my mind" "c'mon dude, we both know it's gonna be a cat, don't kid yourself."
This game is tryna make me kms WHY ARE THEY SO STUPID FOCUS ON ONE ENEMY FIRST SO YOU CAN STAY ALIVE YOU DUMBASS YOURE TAKING TWICE THE DAMAGE FOR NO REASON
As per usual, spoilers for episode 6 of Tokyo Debunker
Okay so uh. What.
Alan, Rui, Ed, Towa, Jiro. Starting to think Towa may have actually murdered that dude.
Yes, that scene with the tree was sweet and I loved it, but the scene with him and Ed was CONCERNING.
"to think you of all people would grow so fond of something so small and weak. Tell me, what inspired this change of heart?" Plus his sheer strength and powerful Stigma, yeah he could totally kill someone. And judging by Eds words, the old him probably would've as well.
No clue what's going on with Barometz. Apparently Lyca is deathly afraid of any and all girls that aren't MC though.
Ed is a little bitch I've decided. "The plainest of them all" bitch I could kill you with garlic powder don't even. "Not a whiff of sensuality" ????? What does that even m e a n
At the very least I'm glad the others can point out sexual harassment??? Lmao.
I mean... Aroace mc? I'm kidding I swear I know this is practically an otome- I just think it would be really funny if that was what he meant. Also I'm Aroace-
Oh yeah, more instances of MC being treated like the most precious thing in the world.
Also, I like to think that Lyca gets his insults directly from Subaru. "Moth-eaten Casanova" "blond gigolo" those don't seem like words most people on the campus would ever use, and Lyca knows literally one other person he could've learned it from.
Just find it really funny that the kind and apologetic pushover Subaru is probably calling the other ghouls names like *that* behind closed doors with someone he trusts.
That's all! I spent 6 bucks on gems for this game to get to VIP 2 and it got me to like VIP 1½... I'm gonna have to wait like another week to get all my milestone gems istg TvT I should've googled it first
"Miss me with that weak shit." - the captain of Frostheim. The rich, high-profile, commanding captain of Frostheim, Jin Kamurai.
(no joke tho, I love these so much. These are so fun to read.)
Tokyo debunker spoilers up to EP. 5 ish (far as I am right now)
So! That traitor Taiga was talking about. I have some theories. Of course, it's only been a chapter since I heard about the traitor, so it's probably all horribly wrong, but they are theories.
I'm bad at mapping out my thoughts, so let's start with who I think WOULD be the traitor, then narrow down who COULD be the traitor.
Actually, first I wanna ask what the hell traitor means *exactly.* (How to do italics on Tumblr still eludes me)
I'm going purely off memory here, though I did the chapter maybe the day before yesterday so it should be fresh on my mind, but I don't believe Taiga specified literally anything about what he means when he says Traitor. Whether he means a traitor to the school, the ghouls, or all of humankind, we don't know. (Or at the very least I don't right now.)
There's only two things that seem clear to me. (Besides them being a Ghoul.) One is that, whatever they're a traitor to, it's quite significant. Taiga seems entirely unbothered about burning down everything he's worked for after all, as if he thinks it's going to happen anyway.
Two is that, and take this with a grain of salt because it might just be conjecture, MC already knew the traitor by the time she had that "conversation" with Taiga. Though this is taken entirely from his phrasing of "keep letting him fool you".
So who *would* be the traitor? Out of everyone in the game I've met so far, not many of them come to mind. Well, that might be a lie.
In Frostheim I can only think of Thoma. (I'm like 80% sure that was his name.) Kaito and Luca seem too good natured, despite Kaito's cowardice and Luca's eagerness. Jin doesn't seem concerned enough with... Well, anything, to be a traitor. He gave away a yacht, for Christ's sake. What kind of Traitor does that for someone they met like a month ago??
Thoma on the other hand seems to fit the bill almost entirely. He's calculated, doesn't share his thoughts much, has a connection with someone high up, seems loyal enough, fits the bill almost entirely. Hell, he even has late-night rendezvous with someone (a convicted murderer no less) from an "opposing" dorm. The only real problem seems to be that his schedule is filled.
That, and the fact that I have yet to see any real reason or reasoning for him being the traitor. Circumstantial "evidence" doesn't exactly make a completely sound accusation, after all. Traitors seem like that because they're advisors, not the other way around. Cause and effect, right?
What about Vagastrom? The only one I can't see as a possibility is Sho, I mean what kind of Traitor goes back on his friends scheme to help someone he barely knows get a lesser reprimand?
Alan is already suspicious, as much as I love his character. I mean he literally killed a guy, (who is somehow still very much alive,) and is, again, having nightly rendezvous with someone from an enemy dorm. AND HIS DORM RUNS A FIGHT CLUB, I mean c'mon dude. Besides that, however, (and his clear bloodlust,) his, yk, general disposition, seems to suggest otherwise. Not sure about him.
Leo, however? Oh he would absolutely be the traitor. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain he spread the Frostheim rumours, though it's been a few days since I read that episode. Plus the spying/eavesdropping, antagonizing Alan, hearing that Vice Captain would need to be nice to MC and immediately trying to rob her of all credibility, that scheme in general, antagonizing Subaru, and most of all, suggesting that Alan let Takeru kill the Honor Student just cuz.
Or I have a theory he might be Sho's demon, but that has very little support and is kinda a reach.
Problem is with Leo being the traitor; he's too obvious about it??? He's bitchy even to his friend, he seems to regularly tell MC to come to Vagastrom with no explanation for the express reason of eavesdropping on his Captain, he antagonizes people left and right, (Alan and Subaru,) and outright suggests complacency in murder? The intent purpose of a traitor is to be trustworthy. Leo might just be your run-of-the-mill jackass. Ashamed to share a birthday with him. (Also he's not a fucking Gemini, he's a Taurus, I would know I LOOKED AT THE CONSTELLATIONS-)
Ahem. Anyway, what about Jabberwock?
Ren is a first year who, honestly, doesn't seem to give enough of a damn about the school to be a traitor in any right. He's also clearly not cold enough to be a traitor, he all saw him with Calamari. That boy's just tired.
Towa... Not entirely sure what his deal is yet, but like. "What are you doing, Dandelion?" "Hm... I'll go ask Haru if it's okay." "Do you need help, Dandelion?" "Okay, I'll save you." "Dandelion. What should I do next?" "What do you need, Dandelion? Tell me." "I'm strong enough. Why won't you ask me to do it?"
He's like Floyd if Floyd didn't resort to violence, was actually a good person, and was far more mellow. He's like a lanky, flower eating puppy with Haru as his favorite person. He's literally a sheep. I mean, look at his eyes. Fluffy, calm sheep. Either I'm incredibly naive and easily fooled, or he's not the traitor type. Knowing me, could be either.
And Haru? Haru is too busy. Like all the time. Stressed, well-dressed, and under duress. (Well-dressed because Peekaboo is practically an accessory.) He is worrying far too much about Jabberwock to worry about schemes.
Then there's Sinostra. Ritsu, is again, far too openly self involved to be hiding much of anything, and Taiga's attitude makes it seem like this Traitor has been at the school for a bit by now. Ritsu is a first year.
Romeo? Firstly, he already has shady shit going on. The explosive powder? The secret room, the kidnappings, the debt collecting, his whole thing is debauchery. A traitor would at least be subtle with it.
I sincerely doubt Taiga would admit to being a traitor. I mean it's Taiga, so who knows, but you get what I'm saying.
Hotarubi would be next. I'm only halfway through the episode, so forgive me if I interpret things as suspicious that get explained later, but I feel like the only one I can openly say is free of suspicion is Zenji. He has enough going on, and Taiga would have to know he exists to be able to say he's a traitor.
Haku, I'm gonna be honest, is extremely suspicious. Sure, it might've just been explained why, the existence of Zenji I mean, but his general disposition is just off-putting to me. He's also the first person MC met in the story, (if you ignore Taiga having tried to throw us off a bus) so it makes sense Taiga would say "keep deceiving you".
It would also feel like a good parallel NGL; to have the story start with a hostile character and a kind, guiding character, only to end the main plot by having the "aggressive" one be the only one who had caught on to the traitorous nature of the "merciful" character the MC had trusted so.
Then there would be Subaru. I can't say much about him decisively since, well, I'm not done with the Hotarubi episode yet, but he seems almost unwaveringly secretive. He lied about why Lyca is locked up, (at least from what I gathered from that interaction,) he sympathizes with the anomalies, (not a crazy position on the issue, but suspicious nonetheless when surrounded with people who see no problem with ripping them to shreds,) and overall seems almost too trusting... And trustworthy, honestly. He also noticed Leo quite quickly and seemed very quick to come to the (reasonable and true) conclusion that Leo would start some shit, which is weirdly observant tbh.
Okay, so that was one long paragraph, but there is one more house I've met so far, in the week that I've been endlessly playing this game. Mortkranken!
As this would've been the house me and my friend would've been in if we hadn't both placed Hotarubi in the quiz, I may be a bit biased when I say I doubt the traitorous ghoul is in Mortkranken, but nonetheless.
First of all, Yuri's god complex, while likely a common trait with renegades and treasonists, (I googled synonyms bc that same word over and over felt too monotonous, r u proud of me) doesn't feel like enough evidence of ill intent, especially not within a doctor. His whole job is kinda helping people stay alive.
Jiro(?) doesn't seem too reasonable of a suspect either tbh. Sure, they said there's rumours he woke up in a lab one day or WTV, but he also seems to have his own shit going on with illness or smth, and honestly he seems more like the type to go with the flow until he finally gets out of school than the type to pay attention to "the clash" or interdorm/schoolwide drama. (Also I still feel bad for us having blown up his prototype but yk. Prolly better than snorting it, so I'd call that a win.)
Um. Anyway those are my opinions. This took like two hours to write and it's midnight RN so sorry if it gets incomprehensible towards the end (or in general) but I am tired. As usual, this is just the app I use to scream into the void about my opinions when Notes App isn't doing it for me.
Tldr; possible suspects are Thoma, Alan, (?) and either living Hotarubi ghouls. With that said tho it's definitely Haku.
I'm so tired.
Hey so uh
(alt account, no it's not my birthday, wanted to see if I'd get anything, I didn't, not the point)
What the hell do you mean
What does this mean
What do you mean by this
What
?
What does he mean
Not. A. Chance.
how many god dang A’s do you need
All of them. I see you have two? Yeah I'm gonna need those.
I'm just Imagining a Tokyo Debunker/Twisted Wonderland crossover au where like.
Everything is already solved, all the over lots n wtv already happened, so at this point it's just kinda. A magic sitcom. Everyone is going about their day. Until BOOM.
MC from Tokyo Debunker drops in. How? Why? I... Haven't decided yet. Maybe her, Luca, and Kaito find an anomalous coffin artifact, and Kaito dares her to get in for a selfie, promising not to close the lid, and the lid just falls on her.
And now, long after orientation day, MC wakes up in an entrance ceremony coffin.
She pushes the coffin open herself, climbs out, cautiously walks around, until she finds herself carefully avoiding bumping shoulders with various students as she steps lightly through the halls of NRC, ever so confused, only responding to the various confused looks she gets by pulling the hood down over her face.
Eventually, she runs into a teacher, and blah blah blah she lives in Ramshackle now. She's just like "why is this the second time I've gotten kidnapped to a magical school and forced to live in a defunct 8th dorm alone???"
As a way to try and find literally any way back, she decides to explore. Out in the school gardens, MC finds...
*dramatic pause as I try to remember where I was originally going with this*
Floyd. She sees Floyd, and thinks 'oh hey, that guy is like a spitting (spinning? Neither make sense hold on) (yeah it's spitting) image of Towa. I know Towa likes flowers, maybe this dude likes flowers :D'
So she picks up a flower, walks towards Floyd, who is currently arguing with Jade about the Mostro Lounge, and taps him on the shoulder.
He turns around (with one of the scariest scowls she had ever seen) and she immediately shrinks back a bit, extending the flower to him.
He doesn't see it, and is just like "the hell do you want" cue little miss Tokutaisei holding the flower in front of her face and slowly extending it out to him. Very scared little fish.
Meanwhile she's just thinking "notTowanotTowanotTowanotTowa this is Taiga this is far more Taiga behavior I am Very Scared™"
Jade is standing behind him laughing into his fist, as Floyd raises an eyebrow and just scoffs or smth. He's like "why would I want some flimsy little flower. Scram." And she just kinda droops her head with the flower, turns on her heel, and books it the fuck outta there.
Meanwhile, back at Darkwick, Kaito is practically pulling out his hair, screaming like a banshee and screeching about how he never should've made that dare with tears poking out of his eyes like "OH MY GOD LUCA I KILLED HER WHAT DO WE DO WHERE IS SHE SHE GONE AND ITS ALL MY FAULT WHY DID I DO THAT WHAT DO WE DO" and just shaking Luca back and forth by the shoulders
Luca, also panicking but more internally because those two are very different kinds of unstable, probably brings out his swords and points then directly at the artifact before realizing that it did NOT just eat her, and it is NOT in fact alive, Kaito still yelling at him going "DUDE ITS NOT A CREATURE BUT BACK THE SWORDS HOW DO WE FIX THIS I MIGHTVE JUST KILLED MC AND YOURE WAVING YOUR SWORDS AROUND WHAT DO WE DO"
Meanwhile (×2) MC is holding back tears of pure unfiltered fear at the near death experience (greatly exaggerated) that she just went through AKA a passive interaction with Floyd Leech
I just needed to vomit this thought somewhere sorry
