do you have any advice on how to start studying magic? i've been interested in witchcraft for a while but it all seems so complex i have no idea where to begin. i know you're not like an advice blog so i don't want to overstep my boundaries you just seem pretty knowledgeable!
I do, it helps greatly to research as much as you can on traditional witchcraft and other types of magick, like folk magick. Once you have a clear idea of how magick operates, you can begin experimenting with it. Though instead of writing out a ton of things for you, I can give you some links instead so you can get started ❤️

Shady Grove is haunted by her father's death and his lost fiddle that could summon ghosts. When tragedy strikes her family again and her brother is arrested for murder, Shady sets out to find the fiddle and wrest answers from the dead.
This book is perfectly southern gothic and very creepy! I was immediately drawn in by the lyrical writing, descriptions of rural Florida, and the characters. This is probably the most country YA novel I've read and I loved it! I love the unique but relatable cast of characters and their bond as bluegrass musicians. Yes, these teens live and breathe bluegrass and it's amazing. There's LGBTQ+ rep (Shady is bi and at least two other characters are queer), some diversity in the characters (Cuban-American), and major differences in socio-economic status. There's also a murder mystery plot, generational trauma and secrets, romance, heartache, and reconciliation. And lots of scary ghosts, nightmares, and wasps!
I would recommend to fans of The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, Dress Codes for Small Towns by Courtney Stevens, and Wonders of the Invisible World by Christopher Barzak.
Lady Diana 😍 the way your voice sounds 😍 the way you position your camera 😍 the way you decorate your table 😍 the way the cards seem to love talking to you 😍 the loving way you talk about the cards 😍 Is there a way for me to do tarot so beautifully too? 🥺😍🥺😍🥺😍

Capricorn is a mountainous and rocky land. In the Zodiac’s planet, it corresponds to the region closest to the sky, set above the clouds and distant from all other realms. When the Moon is in Capricorn, she feels very uncomfortable; she’s able to see Cancer down below, gently embraced by familiar sea waves. From up here, her home seems very small and fragile, and she misses it deeply. But, for now, the Moon’s got to wear Saturn’s crown and reign fiercely from the top of the world.
A Capricorn Moon symbolizes the meeting of two opposing energies, producing the need to find balance in one’s emotional realm. The individual may feel constantly polarized between being sensitive and unbreakable, experiencing intense feelings but not really expressing them as they come. In Capricorn, the Moon’s waters flow swiftly on rocky ground, suddenly dropping into vigorous waterfalls that strike whatever’s on their way below with little to no mercy; the Moon in Capricorn represents a mature and sturdy approach to all obstacles in life (which are generally not few), and so the Capricorn Moon individual has been blessed with the emotional strength to overcome all difficulties they may find in their path with the resilience that other Moons do not have.
As children, these people were taught the value of honour and responsibility, and the maternal figure was probably very quick to teach the child how full of hardships the world can be, passing forward their knowledge on how to overcome calamities and dangerous situations. As an adult, the Capricorn Moon individual may find it very difficult to express their sensitive and fragile form, for they were probably taught, since very young, that they must deal cautiously with everything around them.
Reigning with dominance and authority from Capricorn’s mountains, this Moon loves proving her worth through her ability to work. Thus, those with Moon in Capricorn have an emotional inclination to assert their importance in society and to convey images of competence and skill in whatever they may value, stablishing intimate ties with their objectives and their career. They’re polite, honourable and sincere, with little sympathy for reckless attitudes.
Moreover, in Capricorn, the Moon’s waters are contained at the centre of the mountain. Intense emotions and passionate feelings are restrained and are generally unable to come to the surface. Saturn’s throne teaches the Moon that great things and achievements generally take a lot of effort and a lot of time to manifest, but the Moon also teaches Saturn that success and power are unachievable without the emotional security to actually go out in the world and conquer one’s objectives and dreams. This placement offers the individual both the watery shield and the earthy sword with which they can make their own way onwards to seize their objectives.
Upon a throne carved out of the mountain’s rocky walls, the Moon rules severely. She seems to have aged quite a bit, and she doesn’t look at us so fondly anymore. Her feelings are enclosed in herself, accommodated in Time’s calm embrace. She’s wiser, stronger now.
🌄 Detail: Albert Bierstadt, “Rocky mountain landscape”; 1870.
SUN Governs individuality, distinct style, and drive or motivations that fulfill your life. Delineates general character, and the broad strokes that define the self. Vital force, individuality, willpower.
MOON Stands for emotions, instincts and the unconscious. Represents the instinctual reactions one has to the world. The mecca of the inner world governing how we feel emotionally and respond to certain situations. Unconscious force, personality, instinct.
**Whereas the sun represents the will, the moon represents the instinct**
MERCURY The planet of mental activities, communication, and intellectual energy. It rules perception, intelligence, reason, memory, and communication. It reflects the way you see, hear, understand, and assimilate information.
VENUS The planet of love and pleasure. It rules over one’s capacity to express affection and interact with the idea of beauty. Represents your allure and desire. Rules over love affairs, art and beauty, fashion, social harmony and friendship. Gateway to higher emotions.
MARS The planet representing what drives your passions, the strength of your willpower, forcefulness, aggression, and the way you handle conflict. Rules over energy, boldness, and force. The courage and strength one cultivates to get their way.
JUPITER The planet of good luck, optimism, success, and generosity. Associated with where you’ll find expansiveness and abundance. It rules over philosophical knowledge, the extent to which you’re a visionary, higher learning, and honesty. Whereas mercury governs a clever intellect, Jupiter governs deeper wisdom and philosophy.
SATURN The planet of responsibility, ethic, and hard work. Teaches discipline and remains influential until self discipline is understood. It is associated with diligence, self control, limitation, patience, stability, maturity and realism. Governs how trust and respect, along with discipline, are integrated in the self. Are you self disciplined, or does the world deliver these lessons to you?
URANUS The planet of change and originality. Brings and symbolizes the manifestation of awakening, shock, and revolution, the “flash of genius.” Associated with both scientific and humanitarian movements. Similar to Mars, but relating to inner will and secret power. Unconscious purpose revealed over a lifetime.
NEPTUNE The planet of mystery and illusion. Represents power of imagination. It’s the planet of idealism and spirituality. The realm of the subconscious world, hidden memory, intuition, and psychic clairs. The ideals, goals, and lifestyle of the higher self detached from ego.
PLUTO The planet of epiphany associated with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Signifies death and rebirth, regeneration along with destruction and annihilation. Pluto wipes the slate clean. Strong and dramatic changes, especially to collectives, have a significant influence from Pluto.
I really hope you see this message Lady Diana! I know how many asks you get. My super favorite thing that you do in your pick a card tarot readings on Youtube is when you mention quotes from movies and books to explain what a card means! I've found that that method is what sticks with me the most - both as a querient and as a tarot reader myself. It really makes me remember the cards' messages! Is it ok if I kindly ask for a quote for all the major arcanas? Thank you!
