This fanfic is really cool and I had to draw something for it!

I witnessed a fangirl moment at college today.

When I arrive at one of my art classes, I see two good classmates of mine sitting together and discussing something. I ask them what’s up, and one of them explains that she’s trying to make an animation for a different class.

She was having a hard time trying to get stuff together, so I start giving her some advice to help her out, and I pull out my phone and show her my Haise-smacking-Shuu-with-his-severed-hand gif to give her an example.

That’s when her friend lets out this loud gasp and snatches my hand to see, then she says: “Oh my god! That’s Haise, right?! Because, you know, his arm got cut off recently!”

I’m sitting there silent (though, internally screaming in happiness). Her friend then gives her this look, and she goes: “It’s Tokyo Ghoul. You don’t read that one.”

And that’s the story of how two geeks gushed over a Japanese comic book and a friend leveled-up to super friend in less than five minutes.
