sorry to advice you to lower drastically your expectation for now on 'cause season 24-25 (and current 2) new showrunner sucks royally, can't write svu storylines nor he's able to write/develop new characters', quality is going down especially after ep9 :/

I know we get a Carisi-Rollins wedding, so there’s that to look forward to. Your Honour, I love them! Shame the character development/creation and plotlines decline after early Season 24. I have also been watching OC, which had a pretty dreadful third Season, so as long as it’s not as bad as that, I’ll live. Thanks for the heads up though!

Things that make me happy:

1) spontaneous hugs from the children I work with

2) Spring is here! It’s getting warmer, but not too hot, flowers are blooming, trees are blossoming

3) Cinemas re-opening in 3 weeks, all being well! I will be going to see anything and everything!

4) Picking out the perfect present for someone, especially if it’s a random ‘I saw this and thought of you!’ unexpected gift.

5) Delicious food, especially desserts!

This moment on the show encapsulated their whole relationship perfectly. Almost no words necessary to communicate all his gratitude and thanks. And yes, it’s the first time in a decade of partnership that they’ve hugged. Such a powerful moment in the show that gets me teared up every single time.

Her smug/cat got the cream expression in the last picture is everything! I love super smart Penelope, they sometimes dumbed her down as she doesn’t know the word for vomit-causing ( emetic) or something like that ( haemo-somthing and it being blood-related, maybe?)  in one episode. I love that she is intelligent, really fashionable/dresses super well, is really good at her job, is nerdy and plus-sized! One of my favourite characters on TV ever!

SVU Season 6 episode thoughts

Since Netflix will be removing Law and Order SVU in a couple of week, I decided to have a rewatch. The only Seasons available are 6,7,9,10 and 11, so I started with S6 and it is still one of my favourites to date!

In one of the episodes, there are a couple of junkies, who I think are married. The husband’s mum lived with them, she is called Jenny, and is seemingly being abused by her son and his wife. 

Stabler is the only one who seems to pick up on this and gets really protective of her, more so than he would normally, at least to my eyes.

We know Joe St was physically and verbally abusive to his kids ( multiple examples in OC and in S7 Ripped) and, in OC, it is revealed that he physically and verbally abused Bernie every single day they were married. This comes as a surprise to Elliot, but I think that this episode shows that he subconsciously knew his mother was being abused by his father, although maybe not the full extent of it .

I think this is one of the main reasons he wants to be a cop: so he can help/save people ( especially women and kids) from abusers like his dad.

Season 6 is so hard-hitting for Elliot, as the brilliant @ocstabler worked out, a lot of the really bad cases this Season have a lot of overlap: the one with Abraham the cult leader, who is marrying pre-teens and getting them pregnant, Contagious with Holly who has been sexually abused by someone in the community, then I think there is a missing child case too. This is when Kathy leaves Elliot too, so I think he is thinking about his family a lot, even more than usual. 

Garcia and Hotch's friendship is top tier for so many reasons, but specifically because Hotch took one look at this petite, sparkly women with a heart of gold and Garcia just glanced at this broken man who bares the weight of the world on his shoulders, and immediately they both went "i must protect them." It's very pure.

It’s absolutely adorable. 

He towers over her and I guarantee that if Garcia even thought someone was making fun of him she’d get into a fistfight for his honor. Could he address it much calmer and get a better outcome? Yes. But Penelope Garcia would kill for him.

Hotch also probably pulls some strings so she can remain to dress the way she does. Not to mention, the heat he probably takes for all the crazy things she does

I’m just impressed how Olivia pulls off all the short pixie cuts/bobs that were popular at the time. Very jealous as I did not have the bone structure or facial shape ( or the confidence, to be honest) to pull those styles off. And the makeup isn’t great, but I have seen much worse ( ie thinner) brows than that in my time!
