Writing advice from my uni teachers:

If your dialog feels flat, rewrite the scene pretending the characters cannot at any cost say exactly what they mean. No one says “I’m mad” but they can say it in 100 other ways.

Wrote a chapter but you dislike it? Rewrite it again from memory. That way you’re only remembering the main parts and can fill in extra details. My teacher who was a playwright literally writes every single script twice because of this.

Don’t overuse metaphors, or they lose their potency. Limit yourself.

Before you write your novel, write a page of anything from your characters POV so you can get their voice right. Do this for every main character introduced.

Greaaat. Lovely.

Well, since this has happened one too many times, it has resulted in me losing lots and lots of motivation to keep drawing and posting. It's quite disheartening when my artwork that I spend hours and hours on reaches people far outside my target audience, resulting in judgement and criticism that I honestly don't need.

These kinds of numbers aren't the ones I like to see, as I prefer to keep to a small community that actually likes and enjoys what I create. This is uncomfortable for me, and I genuinely hate this. Despite the poster giving me credit for my work (which I still appreciate nevertheless), the number of views that these posts have gotten is displeasing to me. Hopefully it gets taken down, but I have no control over it and I won't waste time worrying over something like this as it's happened many times before.

I had this drawing done for almost a week; I don't know exactly why I didn't post before.

It's inspired by that one scene in the movie 'Anna Karenina'. It randomly popped into my mind and I HAD to draw it with Future!Leonardo. I wanted to put a part of the lyrics of some music because why not, I thought in many, from the Beatles to Lana Del Rey to even Metallica(don't question my train of thought, I haven't taken my ADHD meds for two weeks straight) and I ended up with 'As the world falls down' by David Bowie since Leonardo loves Glam Rock.

I think it's kind of yandere-ish? I don't know 🤷🏽‍♀️

In case anyone wants to see it, my first attempt drawing it(I ended up hating it and re did it), the current drawing's Sketch, and the scene I mentioned.

I suffered too much trying to figure out the hands.
