It can be hard to remember how to properly address your noble or royal characters when writing a fantasy court. Here is a quick guide:
Usually addressed as either “Your Grace” or “Your Majesty”. Consort (married to a ruler and not reigning in their own right) can be addressed the same. Sire or Madam can be used also.
They are addressed as “Your Highness”. They are NEVER addressed the same as a King or Queen
These are addressed with “Your Grace”. This was a common term also used by royalty before Henry VIII got to big for his codpiece.
Are almost never referred as the “Earl of Narnia” but “Lord Narnia”.
An easy one. They are called “My Lord” or “My Lady”.
These may be equal to a King/Queen for status but the have a grander title. They are only addressed as “Your Imperial Highness/Majesty”
I hope this helps when writing your court or fantasy novel.

“I definitely didn’t want to root [Corpse Bride] in a specific place, and wasn’t really interested in what real ethnic origins of the tale were, because the thing that got me was the fable aspect of it”⁹.
Jewish legends are, well, legendary. They are filled with mystery, magic, fascinating creatures, wild adventures, and dazzling heroes. But if you ask most people, even most Jews, they may be largely unfamiliar with Jewish folktales outside of the Bible or Fiddler on the Roof. That is until you unravel the way in which Jewish folklore has been commodified and removed from its Jewish roots in order to be suitable for a non-Jewish audience.
This phenomenon is not new and not singular to Jews–not in the slightest. Cultural stories, and so much more, are routinely co-opted and commodified, erasing the culture, religion, and heritage of the original storytellers in order to make the story palatable for audiences outside of the original group. Sometimes so egregiously or viciously that it is largely unrecognizable to those who aren’t intimately familiar enough to spot it.
One such story is, allegedly, The Corpse Bride.
However, Tim Burton would convince you that the story he heard of (allegedly from within Lilith’s Cave) isn’t actually Jewish–in fact, he doesn't even know the origin. In their 2018 YouTube video, Jewish Erasure in Tim Burton Films, channel The Princess and the Scrivener plays a clip of Burton stating, “Joe had heard a little story, like a paragraph, which was an excerpt from an old fable–I don’t even know from what country it came, my recollection is that it didn’t have a specific place of origin. [I] Wasn't really interested in what the real ethnic origins of the tale were, because the thing that got me was the fable aspect of it”⁹.

These were the doodles I did in college in my history classes.
As in like what was the default thing you would draw on the margins when you were in class and had no creative ideas? Personally I was a wings and eyes kid. Usually wings though.

hey sweetie <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 don't hurt yourself. it's gonna be okay. you're a very beautiful and kind and vibrant young woman and I love seeing your face on my dashboard. you're not useless, you're not a waste of space, and to be honest I should have said this much earlier, instead of waiting for you to ask. <3
It's okay. I don't really get a lot of ic stuff, let alone ooc stuff. Most of the time I'm okay with that, but tonight I feel very alone unwanted. I just feel like I shouldn't even cosplay because that takes time away from important things like cleaning because that's all my mom seems to care that I do.
Here is Lance! So he’s the middle child of eight, or rather, he would be once the last two were born. Currently he has four older siblings and one younger. Because of the hectic nature of his house, he was always doing attention seeking behavior, doing things he knew would upset his mom so she would have to spend an extra moment with him, which carried over into his life at the castle. He loves his family deeply though, and the jacket he wears constantly belongs to his second oldest brother, who gave it to him the day he went off with the castle.
As the third oldest, a knowledgeable eight year old, he leads Hunk and Pidge on adventures around the castle, causing mischief. They call themselves the Squid Squad, mostly because Pidge decided they should. He doesn’t get along with the other eight year old, Keith, and pushes for a rivalry because Keith wants a lot of attention too, which Lance deems inexcusable.
