BKDK BEARS
Izuku was never one to be poetic. He was rather straight to the point and people often found the way he described or explained things as childish. Not that it necessarily was a bad thing, but he wasnât known for methodical speeches.
Even when comforting someone or trying to solve a problem, he was blunt. There was no room for misunderstandings or disconnect. Izuku had a goal and if it involved helping people, heâd be direct.
Something changed when he and Katsuki started dating. Izuku found himself sitting around with his head in his hands mumbling the most tooth-rotting sayings. Maybe someone would find his thoughts childish, but oftentimes Izuku could make himself cry.
With every day that passed, the more grateful Izuku felt that Katsuki had chosen him. It was a genuine dream come true and Izuku wouldnât have it any other way.
Still, Katsuki was Katsuki. He was brash, aggressive where it counted, and he could be pretty mean when the right buttons were pushed. Izuku loved it all much to the disgust of his classmates.
Izuku had been happily chatting with Todoroki and Iida when Kirishima bursted through the door. The entire class whipped their heads around to focus on the red head who seemed a bit too frantic for a school day.
âGuys! Bakugo is fighting an upperclassman!â shouted Kirishima, already spinning on his heel to run off again.
The warm smile that Izuku had been wearing was long gone. As his heart sank further and further, his legs carried him faster.
Izuku could hear the commotion and sucked in a sharp breath when he saw Katsuki and some random older guy brawling in the hallway. Much to no one's surprise Katsuki was winning.
After fighting in a war and playing a major role in defeating the most notorious villain, a simple school fight was as easy as breathing. Still, Izuku didnât want Katsuki straining his heart more than absolutely necessary.
âKacchan!â
The crowd went silent and the explosion in Katsuki hand quickly vanished. It seemed that the boy Katsuki had been beating up truly deserved it. No matter what the douchebag did, Izuku would rather have Katsuki by his side during the schoolday instead of risking Katsuki getting caught texting during house arrest.
âYeah, get your crazy fucking dog just like always,â scoffed the bully. He was taller than Katsuki, but his body was nowhere near as big as Katsukiâs. He was bleeding and still hadnât learned his lesson.
Izuku raised a brow, stepping closer to the scene. âDog? That rich coming from a mutt.â
A couple of gasped and faint cheers came from the busy halls. Whenever class 1-A would send a jab at Katsuki, Izuku never felt the need to defend his boyfriend. It was clearly all in good fun.
This loser was not doing any of this in good fun.
âExcuse me? How are you doing to side with the bad shit lunatic? He nearly killed me!â screeched the boy, rising to his feet sluggishly.
Watching his upperclassman slowly rise from the ground was rather awkward, but he felt no remorse for not helping. âWell it seems like to me that you instigated a fight.â
The douchebag let out a breathless, baffled scoff. âExcuse me?â
âYou heard me,â snapped Izuku quickly, letting his gaze harden as he crossed his arms. He could feel Katsukiâs piercing red eyes on him.
In all honesty, Izuku was shocked that Katsuki hadnât spoken up yet. It wasnât in his nature to let others fight his battles for him. Izuku couldnât help but feel lightheaded defending his lover's honor.
âOf course a freak like you would enable another freak. Fine, let him go insane, heâll dig his own grave then,â spat the student, clearly making a dig at Katsukiâs dying during the war. The jab was way too soon to be made in poor taste.
Izuku wanted to be ruthless. Sure his upperclassmen went low, but Izuku easily could go lower. Still, he wanted to take the high route. It wasnât to protect himself or seem noble, but he wanted Katsuki to hear just how little Izuku cared about his attitude.
Izuku could feel his skin crawl at the memory of Katsuki dead on the battlefield, his lifeless body covered in blood. It hadnât been a nightmare nor something Izuku could run away from.
There was no time to hold Katsukiâs body to take a moment to cry. He was fighting in a war and that battle stopped for no one.
How dare some nobody upperclassman say Katsukiâs brashness was going to kill him when it already happened? How dare a future hero say something so cruel and inhumane. How dare someone who clearly should know better call the two people who saved the world âfreaksâ.
Izuku was quick to passionately shout, âI do not care for his sanity. I care for his happiness. I care for his soul.â
The hallway was silent, Izuku couldnât help but cry. He was beyond happy that Katsuki was still alive. He struggled everyday to realize that Katsuki truly wanted him. He was so lucky and he would never let anyone attack Katsuki.
âMaybe youâve never experienced hardships before or pushed past your own mindset to appreciate those around you, but I do. I question how someone as blind as you can be in a hero school,â hissed Izuku, feeling anger come to the front again.
Katsuki grinned, propping his arm on Izukuâs shoulder. âYeah, there should be a rule against whiny bitches.â
Izuku lightly snacked Katsuki in the gut. âWay to kill the mood Kacchan.â
Aizawa came rushing down the hallway. It appears word traveled quickly that there had been a fight. All it took was for Aizawa to see tears in Midoriyaâs eyes to shout.
âYou, my office, now!â
Izuku smirked as the upperclassman had to rise to his feet and follow after a pissed off teacher. If the bully knew anything about UA, he knew Aizawa was not someone to mess with.
As the crowd quickly diffused from a lack of conflict, Izuku and Katsuki were left alone. Izuku sighed, his heart still pounding in his chest painfully hard.
âIzuku.â
âHmm?â
Soft lips quickly pressed together. Izuku smiled at the welcomed sensation. Katsuki smirked as he pulled back from the kiss.
Without any words being used, Izuku knew Katsuki was charmed by Izukuâs loud confession. Izukuâs wobbly smile spread across his lips and he focused his gaze on the floor.
âI meant all of it,â confirmed Izuku.
âI know you did. Now never say anything like that in front of people again. I should be the only person that gets to hear those words,â grumbled Bakugo, slowly adjusting his bookbag over his shoulder.
âOkay.â
âDamn, these bitches gay,â yawned Jiro, giving away her position.
Uraraka smirked, enjoying the mortified expression on both Izuku and Katsuki. âI guess we shouldnât have stuck around to check up on our friends.â
âDie!â yelled Katsuki, sensing off a warning explosion. Izuku watched fondly, ignoring the nagging in the back of his mind. Maybe my boyfriend is insane.
(Y'all I absolutely love Queen Charlotte I just had to write a story based off of a single quote)
Keith and Lance were talking after Keith glared when Lance kissed her hand. She laughed along with Lance. Keith wasnât sure if to think they were in love or just having a friendly conversation and Keith wanted answers.
Lance looked concerned, âKeith? Something up?â
Keith shook his head, âNo I was just wondering if you and Allura were together?â
Lance waved his hands shaking his head, âNo! Wow no! She rejected me to remember... wait do you love her?â
Keith paused for a moment, âYeah, I do.â
Lance looked at Keith hiding the hurt, âOh, well If you love her then why havenât you confessed?â
Keith looked away from his gaze more directed to the ground, âI thought... she may reject me?â
Lance gave a sad smile and resting a hand on Keithâs shoulder, âWell when she rejected me... said she loved you so! Youâre all hers!â
Keith nodded, âThanks for telling me... but Iâm sorry.â
Lance paused in front of the door and was about to walk out, âSorry?â
Keith nodded even though he knew Lance canât see him. Lance never faced Keith as he didnât want to see the tears so he stayed there ready to leave.
Keith sighed, âI lied. I donât like Allura.â
Lance took a moment to swallow the lump in his throat, âOh you like Pidge?â
Keith grumbled, âI donât... like girls.â
Lance stood in the doorway still not facing Keith, âOh so you like Matt or Shiro! Thatâs good Uhm yeah Iâm going to go!â
Keith was going to call for Lance but he bolted away tears flying behind him, he couldnât stand to hear the person Keith liked, Allura was already too much but a person in the group.
Keith was already after Lance who was sprinting to his room which was the farthest from Keithâs. Soon enough Keith was catching up to Lance.
âLance slow down!â
Lance didnât respond but stopped running.
Keith caught up and reached out a hand, âYou never let me finish.â
Lance turned around, âDonât worry Keith, I get it and I support you but trust me Allura may be upset with you and that person.â
Keithâs face softened, âLance.â
Lance started to ramble about random things and Keith sighed, âLance!â
Lance sighed defeated looking at Keith ashamed of himself. Keith chuckled at that and cupped Lanceâs face. His eyes grew wide Keith chuckled and kissed Lance deeply. Lance felt his eyes close and pull Keith closer desperate that if it was only at that moment, he got Keithâs affection.
About a minute later they broke the kiss looking at each other breathless.
Keith spoke, âI like you.â
Lance smiled at that, âI really like you.â
Keith pulled Lance for another kiss and Lance kissed him quickly and looked at him, âI donât want to deal with the wrath of Allura letâs go to my room.â
Keith nodded scooping Lance and held his upper thighs to support Lance and he wrapped his arms around the back of Keithâs neck, he went into Lanceâs room and the door shut and Keith dropped Lance onto the bed and went right to kissing him again. As if this was the last night of their lives, they focused on the other's lips and taste and their hair and they never went further but did take off their shirts obsessing over the skin and Keith left slow soft kisses on Lanceâs back scar from the crystal explodes. Lance messed with Keithâs shoulder scar from the BOM and Keith slightly squirmed and they found each other's spots and found pleasure in their moans. Lips. Skin. Body.
They fell onto their backs cuddling not worrying about what tomorrow will have in store.
Lanceâs mind was racing over everything letting it all wash over him in waves
his doubts, Keith, Allura, the teams, Voltronâs next move, his family, everything, you name it.
Keith noticed and kissed his forehead and before Lance fell to sleep Keith whispered softly, âDonât worry everything will be okay.â
A self-indulgent bkdk fanfiction :)
It was all boiling up to this very moment. I looked up into ruby red eyes and felt my gut squeezed tight. My heartbeat was so loud, nothing but the steady thump could be heard. Then breaking through the deafening panic of my heart, a shaky breath captured all my attention.
Against my mind's better judgment, I reach out my hands to capture his big hands in my small damaged ones. He intertwines our fingers together, squeezing past my crooked knuckles. I know despite how scared I feel, I smile at the thrill he never failed to bring me.
Katsuki Bakugo was my everything. Now he knew he was. He was everything I wanted. He was everything I craved. Now he towered over me, coating my skin in goosebumps and igniting my skin.
Something possessed me, making me tilt my head. The magnetic force that was Bakugo Katsuki enticed me to come closer. He met me halfway, letting go of my hands to capture my face. His hands gently guided me to him, his thumb dusting over my freckles.
It felt like time stopped and started instantaneously. My mind went blank as all I wanted to do was indulge. He was perfect. Flawless in every way shape in form. His choices and actions have molded him into a person I wouldnât trade for the world. His hands, his heart, his dumb spiked blond hair, his sharp eyes, and his lips. Oh god, his lips.
I cry as he kisses me. I grip the fabric of his tee, pulling him closer. I want to feel his heartbeat pounding against my chest. Our lips part, but our bodies remained pressed together. He looks at me and I feel the emotions swarming in his expression.
All I can do is cry as I declare my love like a mantra.
âI love you. I love you. I love you.â
In exchange for my declaration, warm, strong arms encase me as a gruff whisper reaches my ears and fills my heart.
âI love you too.â
I hide in his embrace, unable to fathom how lucky I am. I am beyond blessed to have someone so special, so irreplaceable, love me back. Iâve lived in a world where Katsuki didnât exist and itâs a world I canât say Iâd survive long in.
Iâm so overwhelmed, that my crying doesnât relent. Iâm so grateful.
âWhy are you crying?â he asked in an uncharacteristically gentle voice.
âBecause Iâm so happy.â I cry, tilting my head to peek up at his face.
I feel his heart thump, thump against my skin. His heart is beating just as fast as mine. All it makes me want to do is kiss those addictive lips again. He beats me to it, capturing me in a kiss that made my knees buckle. Still, I want more.
Green. My favorite fucking color. It took me too long to realize that I couldn't function without him. A month without him and I was falling apart at the seams. He radiates a liveliness that takes my breath away. His beauty makes it hard to breathe.
Now he was in my arms, smiling as I kissed him. His knuckles against my back, sending a chill up my spine. That feeling had never been more welcome than it was at this moment.
Everything about him was addicting. He was an irresistible craving that was always satisfied, but I still want more. Now that I knew he felt the same, I didn't have to hold back. I could love him in all the ways I wanted to. That thin line that had been holding me back was now nothing more than a memory.
Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. Two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly. It took them three tries, but they snapped into place on the fourth. They were a pair that only fit each other and not even fate could change that.
The End! I was sad and lonely so I wrote this.
Confidence was one hell of a drug. Izuku Midoriya was used to helplessly hoping for a brighter future even though he never had the confidence to back up his desire. Suddenly he had the body he had always dreamed of having, met his idol, gained a quirk, got into his dream school, and had more friends than he could count with his fingers.
It was safe to say Midoriya gained confidence. Where heâd usually stay on the sidelines and try to make himself as small as possible, he was now running face-first into the limelight. There was something exhilarating about showing off his abilities as a hero and how he was the best at what he did.
His ex-bully, Katsuki Bakugo, tried to break down Midoriyaâs confidence in the beginning. It was only a matter of time until he realized just how much he liked seeing Midoriya all confident and empowered. It took some time to get used to, but Bakugo was quick to learn from his mistakes and atone for them.
For the young heroes in training, their third year came around before class 3-A could comprehend how fast time was passing. Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki were the notorious big three. It only made sense after they fought the most dangerous villains in the war.
Midoriya didnât realize how great it could feel to be on top. He was already a villain magnet before they figured out his quirk, so not much was going to change.
Imagine Midoriyaâs shock when some random, first year, hero-in-training nobody tried starting a feud with him. Of course, it was all one-sided.
Uraraka, Midoriya, and Bakugo were having their weekly spa day when Mina rushed in holding her phone. âOh my god! Guys, you gotta read this!â
Midoriya sat up, removing his head from Urarakaâs lap. Midoriyaâs face was only half-done and Uraraka was holding a container of clay face mask.
Bakugo was already finished, his spiky bangs held back with an Edge Shot-themed headband. Bakugo rolled his eyes, not thrilled that their quiet time was interrupted.
âWhatâs up, Mina?â questioned Midoriya, slightly worried by Minaâs tone.
âSome random first-year at Ketsubutsu Academy was attacking you online!â revealed Mina in anger, not appreciating some random person trying to defame Midoriya.
Bakugo and Urarakaâs attention was captured, heads snapping to watch Midoriyaâs reaction to see if they needed to attack this fool. Midoriya was frozen momentarily, considering how he wanted to respond to this news. Knowing this first-year was already going to be reprimanded by a majority of Japan, he didnât worry too much. He did defeat Shigaraki on live television after all. Picking a fight with the person who saved the world is a stupid move.
Throwing an apple slice into his mouth, Midoriya shrugged. âEagles donât fly with chickens.â
Uraraka and Bakugoâs heads snapped away from Midoriya to each other. While they knew Midoriya could get sassy, they didnât realize he was capable of throwing out insults that would put a chronically-online jerk to shame.
âYou are so right about that Midoriya. They said that your quirk wasnât even that good because of your scars. They said something about them making you look old,â groaned Mina, not bothering to read the post out loud to Midoriya.
âWhat? Iâm so timeless and sexy though!â gasped Midoriya, well aware he was anything but sexy at the moment. He had on an AllMight headband, a hot-sauce-stained tee shirt, and a pair of Bakugoâs old baggy sweatpants.
Bakugo smirked, looking at Midoriya. âDamn right Izuku!â
Uraraka laughed to herself, happy to be surrounded by people who would never let something so childish get to them. It gave her the courage to take every insult or unsolicited comment and return it with nothing but the brutal truth. She felt a sense of ease around them and knew that they felt the same way with her.
âWhen did you get so sassy Deku?â questioned Uraraka, amused by this sudden wave of iconic clap-backs.
âAfter dealing with the past users of One for All for so long, you learn to return their energy,â revealed Midoriya, remaining vague about the reason why heâs sassy with them.
Bakugo didnât say anything as he got up from his seat and joined Uraraka and Midoriya on the carpet. âThis little shit had been acting all innocent around you and the rest of our class, but heâs a brat as soon as heâs alone with me.â
Midoriya feigned hurt, not enjoying this personal attack. âHow dare you make these accusations about me Kacchan?â
âAccuse? No, Iâm exposing you,â corrected Bakugo, his smirk wide and threatening.
âSorry Deku, but Iâm with Bakugo on this one,â chuckled Uraraka, more than happy to fluster Midoriya for no specific reason.
In response Midoriya huffed and began messing with his hair. Mina was holding back laughter, secretly recording the entire exchange. âWhat are you doing?âÂ
Midoriya looked over to Mina with an oddly calm expression, âHuh? Oh, Iâm just pulling out the grey hairs this experience has given me.â
Mina could no longer contain her laughter, loving how witty Midoriya truly was. It seemed the Uraraka was on the same boat and fell into laughter as well. Bakugo smiled, looking at Midoriya before sneak attacking him and giving him a noogie.
After the four calmed down, Mina seemed to remember her whole point of coming in. âAre you going to do anything about it?â
Bakugo cracked his knuckles. âWell, Iâm going to blast that extra into outer space for taking shit about Izuku like that. The idiot wouldnât be alive if it wasnât for him saving the fucking world.â
Midoriya smiled, letting his hand rest on Bakugoâs back to feel his heartbeat. âNo need. Iâm not going to do anything. Me ignoring him is letting him know that he is irrelevant to me. Giving him attention would only give him power.â
âYeah, and I donât think we have to worry about teaching him a lesson. Midoriya is too popular for his fans to not attack this guy,â reminded Uraraka, aware of how crazy some of Midoriyaâs fans could be.
Midoriya grinned, looking at his hands in thought before looking over to the three. âI want to see if I can convince Nezu to bring his class over to train. That way I can make an appearance. I know the moment he spots me heâll start to panic.â
Bakugo nodded, meeting Midoriyaâs gaze. âAll bark, no bite.â
âJust like you,â commented Midoriya with sly wit.
In an instant, Bakugo was after Midoriya. Explosions filling the room. Spa day was ruined.
when you see a leaf on my hair
donât remove leaf
leave it
donât take it away
i donât care if itâs huge
the leaf chose me
itâs my crown
itâs my leaf
we are one
After a lot of convincing, Uraraka gave Midoriya enough courage to confess to his crush.
Class 1-A was now class 3-A, officially on the verge of graduation. Midoriya knew things would get busy and there was always the possibility of falling out of touch with his peers. Still, he was in love with his childhood friend Bakugo. He had no intention of letting go of the bond that he worked so hard on forming.
Now that Midoriya was planning on confessing he had romantic feelings for Bakugo, he knew a lot was on the line. If he confessed in his earlier years, there was always time to work on rebuilding their bond and moving on. That way he wouldnât risk Bakugo avoiding him upon graduation.
If he were to confess now, there was a good chance things would still be awkward by the time they graduated.
That was a terrifying thought.
Uraraka was a pillar of strength for Midoriya. She wanted the best for her friend and believed it was better for him to ask and get rejected than never trying at all. While that wasnât the only thing she said to convince her best friend to go for it, it was one of the main comments she made that pushed him.
Midoriya took a deep breath before nodding his head. âOkay, Iâm going to do it.â
âReally?â gasped Uraraka with an excited grin. She was proud to hear her friend was going to profess his love to his long-lasting crush.
âYeah⌠but can you be with me when I do it?â asked Midoriya gently, looking down at his scarred hands with a wary expression.
Uraraka paused, tilting her head to the side before her eyes shot wide open. âOh! Yes, of course! But are you sure you want to do it over the phone?â
Midoriya nodded stiffly, shallowly breathing. âI think I would pass out if I tried to tell him how I feel to his face.â
âMakes sense. You look like youâre going to pass out right now,â chuckled Uraraka fondly, smacking Midoriyaâs arm. âNow, get out the phone and do it! If you wait any longer you may back out.â
âOkay⌠okay. Youâre right, Iâm already starting to regret agreeing to confess,â admitted Midoriya as he wiggled his phone out his pocket. His fingers trembled as he moved around his screen to pull up Bakugoâs contact. It was at the very top as Midoriya purposefully pinned him.
âOh god, I think Iâm going to vomit,â cried Midoriya, feeling heat rush to his face as his heartbeat unsettlingly thumped in his neck, pounding in his ears.
Uraraka snuck her hand into Midoriya before offering a tight squeeze. âBreathe. He died for you how many times now? Iâm sure a confession wonât ruin anything.â
Midoriya shook his head as he let out a grunt. âLetâs do this,â huffed Midoriya as he pressed the button to call Bakugo. Doing everything in his power to not chuck the phone across the room, he immediately put the call on speaker.
âIzuku?â answered Bakugo quickly, sounding rather calm.
âThereâs something I need to tell you,â revealed Midoriya quickly, tearing off the band aid so he couldnât backtrack. He felt like his chest was going to explode.
There was shuffling from the other end of the call before Bakugoâs voice met his ears again. âIs something wrong? Is this about One for All?â
âNo! Nothing like that,â stammered Midoriya, rather embarrassed.
Uraraka smirked from where she was now sitting. There was something so amusing about how worried Bakugo had become about everything and anything revolving around Midoriya.
âSo, whatâs so important that you have to tell me?â inquired Bakugo, a bit of a teasing tone accompanied his question.
âI like you,â confessed Midoriya suddenly, the short profession was delivered as if it was punched out of him.
It was quiet for a moment before Bakugo cleared his throat. Midoriya was covering his face, rocking back and forth in full-fledged panic mode. Uraraka sat on Midoriyaâs bed violently biting at her fingernails. Despite Midoriya being the one confessing, Uraraka was completely freaking out. There was something so jovial about high school confessions.
âYou like me?â repeated Bakugo with an unreadable tone.
Midoriya felt some alarms go off in his head, but he was holding out hope. There was always that chance that Bakugo loved him back and theyâd have a wonderful relationship. Still, there were a lot of unknowns in situations like this. Not only did Midoriya have to consider if Bakugo would be interested in him, but he had to consider if Bakugo was attracted to boys.
Trying to sooth his nerve, Midoriya convinced himself that there was a good chance Bakugo was homosexual. After all, heâs shown no interest in any girls before. Even if Bakugo signaled he wasnât interested in dating, Midoriya was going to ignore that fact for the time being.
âYes,â breathed out Midoriya rather shyly, his cheeks warm and a small smile on his lips.
âEw.â
Midoriya froze, the pounding in his chest only picking up as the burning sensation of tears forming arose. The weight of his phone suddenly became unbearably heavy as his wrist started shaking. Uraraka tried suppressing her gasp, but it didnât matter. Midoriya wasnât focused on anything other than his heart breaking.
âYou⌠donât?â asked Midoriya with a quietness Uraraka hadnât heard in a long time.
Uraraka wanted to snatch the phone from Midoriya and end the call. A part of her wanted to storm out of the room and deck Bakugo in the face, but she kept still on Midoriyaâs bed as she allowed her best friend to fight his own battle.
âBut youâre a boy?â remarked Bakugo plainly. The way he said it didnât have much malice behind it, but there was a cloud of disgust that accompanied the fact that came out more as a question.
Midoriya held his phone in a limp hold as the shy smile had long faded. Whatever life had been in Midoriyaâs face died as the spark in his eyes disappeared and a deep frown met his features.
While Bakugoâs distasteful comment wasnât inherently mean, it killed whatever romantic attraction Midoriya had for the blonde. A simple rejection would have done the job rather than a cruel reminder of how Bakugo may have liked him if he were a girl.
Uraraka was ready to get up, take the phone, and hold Midoriya until he was ready to think again. But before she could get the chance to move, Bakugoâs voice reached the duoâs ears.
âIzuku?â
Without missing a beat, Midoriya turned the phone to his face and quickly ended the call. He had nothing more to say and he wasnât going to give Bakugo the pleasure of a response to his off-putting answer to a confession. Midoriya let his phone slip out of his grasp and clatter onto the ground.
The worst possible thing that could have happened just happened. Bakugo rejected him. Not only did Bakugo reject him, but he did in the worst way possible.
Uraraka slid off the bed, walking on her knees over to where Midoriya was sitting on his All Might carpet. Midoriya remained frozen in place with his arm propped in the air and his hand still in the position it had been to let his phone slide off his hand. Slowly, Uraraka wrapped her arms around Midoriya and pulled him close.
Resting Midoriya against her stomach, Uraraka wrapped her arms around Midoriya and leaned forward to shelter his body. As soon as she settled into the position, she felt Midoriyaâs body begin to shake. âIâm so sorry, Izuku.â
Whatever power those words held were enough for the rest of Midoriyaâs resolve to vanish. He sobbed into Urarakaâs shirt, feeling like he just lost all of his worth in one minute. Once he was able to process what he was feeling, his mind only got worse as he felt like a horrible person for feeling undesirable upon being rejected.
âItâs his loss Izuku. You are an amazing person, and you have so much love to offer. If Bakugo doesnât want you, there is someone even better and more deserving of your love out there waiting for you to find them,â reassured Uraraka, rocking Midoriya back and forth as her knees were burning.
âIâm such an idiot,â cried Midoriya out loud. He could believe that he ruined everything because he was too selfish. He should have lived in blissful ignorance, never knowing if Bakugo could have loved him back or not. Now heâd forever feel the sting of being a male whenever he heard Bakugoâs voice.
Four days passed by and Midoriya avoided Bakugo like the plague. If Midoriya was socializing with Kirishima and he heard Bakugoâs footsteps approaching, he would leave without uttering another word. If Todoroki invited him to train and Bakugo was going to be there, Midoriya shut down the offer quickly. It didnât take long for the entire class to notice the giant rift that seemed to appear between Bakugo and Midoriya overnight.
After the second war, the two were inseparable.
Wherever Midoriya was, Bakugo was hovering nearby. They trained together, did school work together, and spent much more time with one another. Now itâs been days, and they had not been seen near one another once. Midoriya didnât once mention Bakugo in conversation. Bakugo seemed more irritable than usual, but no one wanted to risk getting blown up.
Finally, Mina and Kirishima had enough. They assumed that Bakugo and Midoriya had been secretly dating for the past two years, and they werenât about to let the duo suffer in silence.
âBlasty! We need to talk,â demanded Mina, as she pounded on Bakugoâs door.
After waiting five long seconds, the door flew open. An enraged Bakugo stood on the other side with his fist crackling with mini explosions. âWho the hell do you think you are banging on my door like that Pinky!?â
âAn angry mother is who I am right now!â shouted Mina, shoving her way through, surprising both Kirishima and Bakugo.
âWhat is going on?â questioned Bakugo, following behind Mina angrily.
Kirishima tilted his head to the side and leaned it forward with an unimpressed expression. âReally bro? Do you really expect us not to notice how suddenly you and Midoriya havenât interacted once in the past couple days?â
Bakugo crossed his arms, sneering at the duo. âItâs none of your business!â
âWell excuse us for being weirded out how Midoriya hasnât mentioned you once and how you havenât trained once with him,â remarked Mina, snapping rather fast at Bakugo. She didnât like whatever was going on between her classmates. They were about to graduate high school and be official heroes. Now was the worst time for petty fights.
âHeâs the one whoâs been avoiding me,â revealed Bakugo with a strange tone.
Kirishima and Mina shared a concerned glance. Midoriya distancing himself from Bakugo was a bad sign. Nothing Bakugo had ever done in their first year had been enough to drive Midoriya away. With their bond being incredibly close, something really bad must have happened to cause such a dramatic reaction from Midoriya.
Trying to recall how Midoriya had been acting and behaving over the past four days, Mina and Kirishima were still left with no answers. The only thing they really know is that Midoriya has spent a large amount of time with Uraraka.
âOh⌠do you have any idea why?â asked Kirishima calmly, growing increasingly more invested in whatever drama bomb they may have missed.
âYeah, I have a pretty good idea why,â admitted Bakugo quickly, looking at his hand with a small frown.
Mina rolled her eyes, shoving Bakugo lightly. âStop being so cryptic and just tell us what happened already.â
âIzuku called me and told me he liked me.â
Mina gasped so hard she fell into a violent coughing fit. Kirishima patted her back to try and help but was equally surprised by the news. They couldnât believe Midoriya and Bakugo hadnât been in a secret relationship. As soon as the surprise faded away, a lingering fear arose.
Midoriya confessed. After said confession he avoided Bakugo and hadnât mentioned him once. Bakugo rejected Midoriya.
âDude⌠what the hell did you say?â responded Kirishima, aware that whatever came out of Bakugoâs mouth next would determine how hard the hit he was about to give him was.
Bakugo was quiet for far too long. Mina was standing in the corner of the room with her arms crossed. She loved Bakugo dearly, but she wasnât going to let him get away with being a complete and utter idiot.
âI said ew.â
Kirishima punched Bakugo hard enough to earn a loud, âFuck!â
Mina shook her head, raising a hand to cover her face. âYou are horrible.â
âI know. Thatâs not even the worst part,â sighed Bakugo, taking a couple steps away from Kirishima.
âWhat did you do?â whispered Mina, a panic rising to the surface. If her crush said ew at her when she confessed, that would have been enough for her to never show her face again.
Bakugo swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat as he looked down at his feet. âI uh⌠I may have said "but youâre a boyâ.â
Kirishima raised both hands to his head as he simultaneously threw his head back. Mina on the other hand fell to the ground, covering her face. Bakugo watched their dramatic displays of disapproval and felt panic fully set in. He knew he fucked up the moment the words came out of his mouth, but the conversation was an uncomfortable one and he still gets mean when heâs nervous even if heâs been working with a therapist for the past two years.
In the end, Bakugo still would have rejected Midoriya. Not because he didnât like Midoriya or that he didnât find him attractive, but rather he wasnât mentally prepared for a relationship. There was something so daunting about the idea even though he would enjoy dating Midoriya.
Not feeling like he'd be good enough was the one thing that would always make Bakugo the bad guy. He lets his insecurities get the best of him and he takes it out on those around him. He didnât think heâd make a good partner, and he felt like heâd lose Midoriya forever for rejecting him. In the heat of the moment, he said whatever it took to push Midoriya away.
In an attempt to save his own pride, Bakugo had deeply hurt and invalidated the most important person in his life. Now the person he wanted nothing more than to be around no longer felt comfortable being around him.
He knew he had no one else to blame. It was clear in the reaction of his friends.
âI know I fucked up. I know I really really fucked up. I knew that within the seconds he didnât respond and before he hung up on me. Iâm a fucking idiot and I ruin everything good in my life,â vented Bakugo, clenching his fists tightly.
âDude, now isnât the time to throw yourself a pity party. Now is the time to go find Midoriya, apologize, and actually say what you meant to say. He clearly cares about you enough that he developed romantic feelings for you. Iâm sure heâd appreciate you apologizing,â corrected Kirishima, not allowing for this issue to develop any longer.
Mina scowled at Bakugo, tugging at his ear. âIf he doesnât forgive you, I wouldnât blame him. Really? Ew? That poor boy probably spent so much time mustering the courage to confess and you tell him ew? And then you point out that heâs a guy? You might as well have just called him a murderer and been on your way,â chastised Mina, feeling incredibly overprotective of Midoriya after the wars.
Bakugo didnât fight back, knowing his friends were right. He screwed up and he had the responsibility of fixing it. Midoriya was in love with him, and it felt like a dream being confessed to. Yet, he felt unqualified and proved exactly why he felt that way.
Taking in a deep breath, Bakugo swiftly threw open his door, closed it behind him, and ran to the elevator.
Even if his apology was accepted, Bakugo knew that it would take a lifetime to make it up to Midoriya.
Epilogue: They get married and adopt five kids by the time they are thirty. Mina, Kirishima, and Uraraka all downed their shots bi-weekly, fully paid for by Bakugo. Kirishima and Mina got their shots for their role in knocking sense into him. Uraraka got her shots as payment for allowing Midoriya to hear him out when he showed up at Midoriya's dorm door to apologize.
Midoriya had joined the girls on their biweekly spa day. Midoriya really appreciated the massages and pampering that came with self-care. Midoriyaâs body had recently been aching and he needed a little boost.
While Midoriya was getting a manicure, the lady questioned him on his beat-up hands. Midoriya rambled about how he got all those scars and why his fingers were permanently crooked. The woman gasped while trimming his cuticles.
Midoriya made a mental note that the edge of his nails was sharp. He enjoyed how they were just as smooth as they were sharp. The ladies all showed off what they had done to their nails.
The morning following their day out, Midoriya was talking with them before lunch. The guys stuck nearby, curious about what Midoriya was doing with the girls.
âOh, do I have a story for you,â announced Midoriya dramatically.
The group focused their attention on him, beyond curious. It wasnât often Midoriya wanted to share something, he was usually a listener. They were beyond excited.
âSo Iâm washing my ass⌠and Iâm washing it very fast,â revealed Midoriya, being very blunt about the situation.
Hagakure and Jiro would barely contain their laughter. It caught them so off guard, they had to fight for their life to hold back. Mina and Momo were very invested, needing to know where this ass-washing was going. Uraraka and Tsuyu were relieved to hear Midoriya washed his ass, unlike some guys. Sometimes they worried for their friend's sanity with how little he takes care of himself.
Meanwhile, all the guys listened with dropped jaws. They couldnât believe Midoriya was talking about washing his ass in front of the girls. That wasnât something casual that Midoriya should talk about like it was a normal Tuesday.
âAnd since I just got them done yesterday and they were smooth but sharpâŚ,â Midoriya took a moment of silence.
The girls already knew what was coming.
âDo you know that I stabbed my asshole,â announced Midoriya, immediately looking away in shame that he literally cut his butt because he was in a rush.
Mina clapped her hands and nodded. âWelcome to the club.â
âHappens to the best of us,â sighed Jiro, unable to stop her laughter.
Meanwhile, Bakugo was beyond amused, having to hold himself back from making fun of Midoriya. Todoroki was a bit too innocent and wanted to know how it was possible for his nail to stab his asshole. Kaminari and Kirishima had to excuse themselves, unable to hold back laughter.
It wasnât until the next day that Midoriya found out some of the guys overheard. Todoroki walked right up to Midoriya and dropped the question.
âHowâs your butthole?â
Midoriya was mortified while anyone else around was now paying full attention to the duo.
âWhat?â screeched Midoriya, unable to hide his fear.
âYouâre butthole? You stabbed it the other day, right? I was wondering if you are doing okay,â replied Todoroki, genuinely concerned for his friend.
Midoriyaâs hands moved so fast to cover his face you could hear the smack. âOh, my god. You heard that.â
Todoroki nodded, pointing his thumb behind him. âBakugo, Kirishima, and Kaminari were also there.â
Bakugo nearly choked on his breakfast and was visibly angry Todoroki snitched on him. âHey! Donât drag me into this!â
âKacchan! You heard too?â Midoriya was on the verge of barricading himself in his dorm room for the rest of his life.
âUnwillingly,â lied Bakugo, trying to save himself however he could.
Kaminari shook his head. âDonât lie! You were eavesdropping like the rest of us!â
Bakugo sent off some explosions. âYouâre dead Dunce Face.â
Midoriya was already passed out on the ground by the time all the boys stopped fighting. And yes, he has a scar.
Izuku was best friends with his guidance counselor. Inko knew about Izukuâs mental health and Izuku had no problem speaking his mind. Izuku had been hospitalized on a number of occasions because he told Inko. The guidance counselor was aware of Izuku being open with his mom which lowered the stress of betraying Izukuâs trust.
Izuku was incredibly depressed and struggled to cope with the bullying. Being able to wear a facade all day was exhausting as well. It was nice to walk into the counselorâs office and vent. While Izuku was open, he did hide it around his mother. He didnât want her to worry more than she already was. Seeing the school counselor was the only option considering therapy was far too expensive.
Izuku had Major Depressive Disorder, Social Phobia, Attention Deficit Disorder, and was showing signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder more and more with every encounter of bullying he endured. It was clear the physical and mental abuse he received day in and day out didnât help. There was no escape when he came home. Cyberbullying was just as severe.
During lunch, milk had been pored all over Izuku. Much to everyones shock, Izuku slammed his book shut and stormed out of the cafeteria. Katsuki scowled, irritated by Izukuâs dramatic reaction. The brown haired bully jumped, not expecting the retaliation. The other bully watched him leave, bewhildered before smirking.
âLetâs get him while heâs in the locker room!â
Katsuki didnât have a problem with it, wanting to put Izuku back in his place. The other bully tagged along, lauging about how he was going to mock Izuku. They chased after him.
When Izukuâs three bullies spotted him down the hall, his shoulders were tensed, a milk trail following him. His book bag was in one hand and his notebook in the other. There was something about the aura he was radiating that made them uneasy. Midoriya stormed right up to the guidance counselorâs office, threw open the door and let it out.
âDo you know how much I want to fucking pick up a fucking chair and smash it across their fucking face?â
Katsuki stopped in his tracks, eyes wide in surprise. That went straight to his dick.
âShit. Izukuâs told on us?â whispered the long-finger bully.
âThatâs what youâre worried about? He sounds like he wants to kill us,â exasperated the brown haired bully.
Katsuki had more concerns than that. In that split second, he came to the realization he knew nothing about Izuku. He didnât know Izuku cursed. He never wouldâve guessed Izuku got angry. Katsuki wondered if Izuku already was telling the adults at school, was he telling Inko? In a matter of seconds, he realized his entire future lies in Izukuâs hands. Something about that made him oddly hot, feeling flustered by the information.
The guidance counselor didnât even sound surprised by his outburst. âOh I know you do. Thankfully you didnât do it.â
Izuku took a sharp breath before slamming the door behind him. The building shook from the force of the slam, causing the three to share a stunned look. They all crept to the door to listen, needing to know more.
âIâm leaving my stuff here. Iâm going to the showers and Iâll be back. Iâm skipping next period,â informed Izuku. His tone was sharp, unsteady, and clearly still holding a lot of rage.
The counselor shook her head, fixing her notebookâs position on the desk. âVery well. Iâll try and dry off your things while you clean up.â
âThank you.â
âNo problem kid.â
The bullies booked it to a janitors closet down the hall to avoid getting caught. Izuku came out a couple seconds later, fingers flying on the keypads on his phone. When he disappeared down the hall, the group chose to part their separate ways and head to class.
Katsuki sat at his desk with a scowl. He was frustrated by his feelings. As much as he wanted to hate Midoriya and unleash his rage to make up for extreme weakness he was feeling, he truly didnât want to. There was some deep fondness resonating within him. He was terrified and that excited him.
Izuku reappeared a period later with a drained expression. His hair was dry, his clothes were completely changed, and his bag and notebook looked perfectly fine. While the trio were mad their stunt didnât leave any long lasting damage, they were glad their actions didnât cause him to be so pissed off that heâd kill them.
None of the idiots wanted to be hit in the fucking face by a fucking chair.
Izuku is more than familiar with being in an abusive relationship. Growing up quirkless and being a big target for people to prey on was all Izuku knew. He saw the best in people, but when someone gave him a reason not to trust him, Izuku automatically shut down. Why fight for someone that wouldnât fight for him?
Izuku saw a message from his current girlfriend. They had been dating for nearly six months. This was Izukuâs first girlfriend, so most of this relationship was Izuku learning. He was trying to figure out what it was like to be with a girl.
Izuku was familiar with guys and what to look for, considering he had three ex-boyfriends. There was one common thing between boys and girls that Izuku now knew. There was one thing you never want to hear from your partner.
We need to talk.
Izuku had a good feeling he was going to be dumped. He didnât change recently and hasnât seen any noticeable change in his girlfriend. If he hadnât noticed anything, then he either deserved to be dumped or the girl was playing with his feelings. If he ended up not getting dumped, heâd enjoy spending time with his girlfriend who he truly cared for.
Pushing open the door to the school, Izuku was expecting to meet his girlfriend and a second location, but instead, she was waiting for him outside his school.
Izuku was beyond confused about how she already was at his school but chose to ignore the strange fact. Instead, he approached her with a soft smile.
âKiko, what did you need to talk to me about?â inquired Izuku, clearly concerned about what was happening. It was clearly big enough of a deal for her to show up at his school.
Kiko frowned despite her attempts to keep a neutral expression. Izuku and Kiko had made their way past the main gate and headed over to get some privacy.
While Izukuâs back was facing everyone exiting Aldera, Kiko had a clear view of the people that were eavesdropping. Kiko immediately recognized them as her boyfriend's bullies.
âWe should break up,â stated Kiko plainly, getting straight to the point.
Izukuâs eyes widened slightly. He had anticipated being dumped, but it didnât make it hurt any less. While he wanted to ask her why, cry, and beg for her love, he knew better. People loved a show and it was clear Kiko wanted a performance. She purposefully went to his school rather than meeting him somewhere more private where he wouldnât be surrounded by people who knew him.
In his past relationships, getting emotional did nothing good. His ex-boyfriends always had something they were expecting when they dumped him. His first boyfriend, Masutaro, dated him simply to mess with Izuku. When Masutaro broke up with Izuku, he wanted Izuku to cry and beg for him. Izuku gave him exactly what he wanted.
Izukuâs second ex, Kichibei, had been the most abusive. Kichibei wanted full control of Izuku and he had succeeded.
Izuku spent more time with Kichibei than he did with his own mother. Kichibei made Izuku delete all social media and, as a result, Izuku lost all his online friends.
When Kichibei had enough and broke up with Izuku, Izuku was fully dependent on the boy. Kichibei didnât tolerate Izukuâs pleas and it resulted in Izuku coming home black and blue.
Izuku's third boyfriend, Ryoko, had been a genuinely perfect boy. Unfortunately, Ryoko started to get bullied when he got caught being with Izuku. Being gay and dating a quirkless boy was a double kill.
Ryoko couldnât handle it and dumped Izuku. Ryoko was desperate to gain back some of his friends and status so he spread a bunch of rumors about Izuku and mocked how Izuku reacted to being dumped.
âOkay,â replied Izuku, putting up no fight.
Izuku soon realized that the best thing he could do is remain calm and accept reality. He wasnât wanted anymore and there was no reason for him to force someone to love him.
Kiko didnât like the reaction she got, her cheeks heating up at his nonchalant response. She was even more embarrassed to see Izukuâs bulliesâ reactions.
Katsuki was front and center, a smirk on his face upon hearing the girl dump Izuku. Hifumi, the boy with a long-finger quirk, covered his mouth to suppress his laughter when he realized that they were going to watch Izuku and this strange girl break up.
Teijo, the guy with super spikey teeth for a quirk, was more intrigued than entertained. He had no clue Izuku had an active dating life so to see Izuku getting dumped was shocking.
The three teens stood nearby, now stunned to hear Izukuâs response to being dumped. While they couldnât see his expression, his tone told them everything they needed to know. Izukuâs okay was oddly cold and accepting. He clearly wasnât too hung up on being dumped from the sounds of it. They wanted to laugh at the girl's embarrassed expression.
âOkay?â remarked the girl, attitude clear in the single word.
âOkay,â repeated Izuku, having nothing else to really say to the girl. If he had it his way, heâd be walking away. Yet here Izuku stood, waiting for the girl to speak up and say what she clearly wanted to say.
âJust like that?â whispered the girl, debating whether to whip up some crocodile tears or yell. She walked into this expecting to come out on top, but now she desperately wanted Izuku to pretend he cared about her.
Izuku crossed his arms, shifting his weight from his left foot to his right. He didnât want to play her game. If she was expecting a reaction from him, he wanted to hear it come from her mouth. âWhat do you want me to do?â
Hifumiâs eyes went wide, lightly smacking Teijoâs arm in disbelief. âHoly shit dude.â
âWhat the hell is Deku doing,â grumbled Katsuki, unable to comprehend the actions of Izuku. This wasnât the Izuku he knew.
Kiko went red in the face, choosing to yell as her hands balled into fists at her sides. âI donât know! I just wasnât expecting okay.â She snobbishly mocked Izuku and used air quotes to further exaggerate the situation.
Katsuki, Teijo, and Hifumi choked back laughter at Kikoâs immature attitude. Seeing her throw a mini-tantrum was hilarious. What made things even funnier was how little Izuku cared.
Izuku called Kiko out, tilting his head to the side. âWhat, you want me to plead and beg you to stay?â It was hard to vocalize without gagging at his words. He couldnât help but recall how badly all of his relationships ended and everything heâd been put through. Izuku just wanted to love and be loved.
Kiko scoffed, looking away from Izuku, finding the passing cars far more interesting. âOf course not. It just seems like youâre throwing us all away.â
Izuku took a step back, finding anger replacing the sorrow in his chest. âIâm throwing it all away?â
Katusuki couldnât believe the girl's audacity. For once, Katsuki was completely on Izukuâs side. The girl literally walked up to Izuku and dumped him with no explanation. It wasnât like she was obligated to nor did she owe Izuku one, but she couldnât suddenly act like she was the victim. Judging his friends' expressions, they felt the same as him.
Kiko quickly switched from angry to sad, throwing herself a pity party the bystanders were worried would fool Izuku. âYes. You donât even care!â
Izuku finally turned his face away from her, holding his forehead in disbelief. The bullies saw how Izuku was irritated, his angry frown was clear as day. âYou are the one breaking up with me. How am I responsible?â
âYouâre not fighting for us!â shouted Kiko, desperate to redeem herself. She was being watched and she wasnât about to make a fool of herself by losing to Izuku in front of his bullies.
Izuku shook his head walking over to a wall to rest upon. The bullies hoped he wouldnât notice them and keep talking.
âFight for what exactly?â asked Izuku raising a brow. Uncrossing his arms, Izuku sent an accusing finger at Kiko. âThere is no us in this. What you really mean is that you want me to fight with you.â
Katsuki smirked, watching Kikoâs face drop. Izuku was right and Kiko could no longer get out of this without looking like a complete fool. Izuku wasnât a confrontational kind of person so it said a lot about Kiko if he was going out of his way to confront her. Katsuki knew that if push came to shove, heâd scare her off.
âCome on Izuku! Change my mind! Make me want to stay!â cried Kiko, stepping closer to Izuku, and putting on the waterworks.
Izuku rolled his eyes, sneering at her. âNone of this is my fault. So how am I supposed to do that? What do you expect me to do?â
âYou decide if we should stay together,â declared Kiko as she put her hands on her hips. She was trying her best to make Izuku look like a bad person by setting him up to be the one to end the relationship.
Kiko was a fool because Izuku wasnât stupid and heâd never fall for her trap. âYou already decided. Iâm respecting your decision.â
âIâll take you back if you say so. You just have to prove youâre willing to fight for us,â whined Kiko, doubling down.
Izuku realized there was no winning this. If she wanted him to be the bad guy, then heâd be the bad guy. He wasnât going to spare her feelings if she had no consideration for his. âWhy would I want to stay with someone who wanted to break up?â
âIâll forget about all of this, I promise. Please, but tell me you care about me,â whispered the girl, taking Izukuâs hands, believing she was winning this despite how Izuku's previous words were filled with hate.
Izuku tore his hands away from Kikoâs, staring at her in disgust. âHaveâhave you always been this desperate?â
Kiko watched Izuku put distance between them again. âDesperate?â
âYou know what? Let me ask you something then⌠why do you want to break up with me?â questioned Izuku, sounding exhausted as he asked. Izuku knew he was setting the stage for her to guilt trip him. He was curious to hear what the excuse was or the reason behind her even dating him in the first place.
Katuski, Hifumi, and Teijo were beyond curious to hear what caused all of this to happen. With the way things were going, they knew it would be nothing but a load of horseshit. It would be Izukuâs fault and his fault only.
The closer they looked at Izukuâs body language, expression, and tone, they realized he knew the exact same. Kiko was walking into Izukuâs trap. That made the guys smile.
âI feel like you donât care about me?â answered the girl, watching Izuku closely for a reaction.
Izuku wore the poker face of a god and fired another question. âAnd whyâs that? What makes you think that?â
âYou always push me away. Itâs like you keep building a brick wall between us,â huffed the girl, clearly irritated her advances had been rejected.
Izukuâs eyes widened, looking at her in disbelief. âKiko⌠weâve talked about this. Youâre moving really quickly and Iâve explained on multiple occasions that Iâm not ready.â
Kiko rolled her eyes, waving her hand dismissively. âThere you go again, pushing me away. Weâve been dating for almost six months!â
âSo you think six months of us being together exempted you from the effects of my trauma? You think youâre entitled to my autonomy and have no remorse for ignoring my boundaries. You know whatâs happened to me in past relationships so it's rich hearing you say all of this.â
âStop putting words in my mouth,â yelped Kiko defensively, not enjoying the fact her excuses were backfiring on her.
Izuku pinched the bridge of his nose, trying his best to see this out and not run away. âSo you donât like hearing the truth? I thought thatâs what you wanted. Youâve never cared to understand why I need to take things slow. Youâre the one who assumed things about me and jumped to the conclusion I didnât care about you at all.â
Katsuki honestly wanted to cheer Izuku on. Izuku was eating her up and spitting her out. Watching Izuku call her out and destroy her good-girl persona was so refreshing.
Hifumi was glad Izuku was chewing her ear out. From the sounds of it, Izuku was putting up with her bullshit for too long. She deserved this.
Teijo was beyond frustrated at the fact that Kiko was not giving up. Sheâs so delusional it physically hurts.
âYou expect me to not jump to these conclusions?â argued Kiko, proving she had no good justification for what she did. She had no good rebuttal to shoot at Izuku because Izuku was right.
It seemed as if something clicked for Izuku and he froze, staring at Kiko in a mix of horror and embarrassment. âI already know youâre doing this to get a rise out of me. People like you love a juicy reaction⌠but did you dump me to see if I would care?â
Kiko was silent, the sweat on her forehead reflecting in the sunlight. She lost. Izuku read her like a book and there was nothing she could do to redeem herself. She was an asshole and now people knew.
Izuku had no sympathy for her. He had no sympathy for any of his exes. They used him for their own benefit and they wanted a final performance when they shattered her bruised heart. âWhy would you do that? Why would you test me? You couldâve asked.â
Izuku knew why already. Kiko knew he cared. Kiko knew Izuku cared a lot. That was why she broke up with him in a highly public space. She wanted to embarrass him and shame him. Kiko was an insufferable bitch.
Kiko had some fight left in her, looking at Izuku as she spat, âWhat would I ask you? Youâre too sensitive so talking to you is impossible.â
Izuku ignored her insults. Lowering his self-esteem or attacking his person to try and get him to apologize wasnât going to work. Instead, Izuku decided to end things with Kiko. Even if she technically already dumped him, he wanted her to know he wanted nothing to do with her either.
âIf you testing me was a better option than communicating when you think Iâm too sensitive to even have a conversation, this wonât work out.â
Kiko went pale, regret written all over her face. âSo we are actually breaking up?â
âYes,â confirmed Izuku, no longer interested in giving her his time.
Kiko grabbed Izukuâs wrist tightly, tugging him a bit. âDonât do this to me Izuku. I wasnât being serious.â
Izuku aggressively tore his writing from her grip and snapped. âI am. Have fun with your next test subject because Iâm done with you.â
Kiko may have been trying to fake cry before, but the tears falling from her eyes now were real ones. Her hands hung in the air after Izuku ripped himself from her grasp. Izuku stared at her, rubbing his wrist to try and ease the burning.
Katsuki looked at Kiko before breaking his silence. âPathetic.â
Izuku head snapped over, dread creeping into his veins upon realizing Katsuki had seen something so personal. When he finally looked at Katsuki, it dawned on him that Katsuki was speaking to Kiko. Kiko's tear-filled eyes met Katsukiâs judgemental ones and wilted.
Hifumi walked past her and in front of Izuku. âI donât know what you were expecting to happen. When you dump someone, you shouldnât expect to be dating them when you walk away.â
Teijo nudged Izukuâs arms and nodded. âShocked a dweeb like you could hold your own. Hell, howâd you get a girlfriend?â
Izuku let out a shakey breath, looking away from them and then to Kiko. âI donât know. It seems like I attract the worst people.â
Katsuki looked at Kiko before turning to Izuku. âShitty people are desperate for attention. Youâre nerdy enough to know when to leave.â
Izuku nods with a weak smile. He was fed up with love and dating considering after four relationships, everyone he dated has been insufferable.
Izuku learned he needed to throw away his rose-tinted glasses and focus on the future he wanted. Izuku wanted to become a hero and he was training to become a hero, he didnât have time to worry about dating.
Katsuki and his lackeys never brought up what they had seen to anyone. It wasnât like people would suddenly stop isolating him or praise him for being a badass that knows his worth. It was a personal situation and clearly was something that affected Izuku.
When they thought back to everything they heard, it was clear Izuku did have a good history when it came to dating so theyâd rather put his love life to rest.
Pianist! Deku (Contains MonoDeku and Hisashi Midoriya is dead)
Midoriya knew his dream was unrealistic. He knew that his brains alone wouldnât assure a spot in UA. Still, it wasnât impossible. He easily could have it all with a support system and a mentor. Yet, he was absolutely alone. Heâd train his mind, pushing his mental and emotional awareness to itâs peak. He understood how the world worked and why people acted the way they do.
He found a peace in violence. He found a feeing of what it was like to be a hero through being bullied. He understood the fight or flight response, the adrenaline rush, the fear, and the impulse of immediately knowing what to do. He understood pain and remaining calm despite his depression, anxiety, and possible ADD issues.
Midoriya found contentment in a random store he saw on his way home through the quiet part of town. The doors were wide open as the sound of a grand piano rang through the bright streets. Midoriya found himself walking right into a beautiful music shop. A lovely woman, soft features with a look of passion, poured her whole body and soul into the chords and notes the piano possessed if touched just right.
Mesmerized, Midoriya stood in the doorway with his fists tightly gripping his book-bag straps. The woman felt his stare and quickly finished her piece and welcomed him.
âHello! Welcome! How my I help you today?â
Midoriya immediately flushed red, waving his hands urgently. âSorry! I just heard your playing and I came over here! Iâm so sorry if I disrupted you or interrupted your peace! I just thought it was amazing andâ!â
The woman let out a airy laugh, motioning for him to sit down. âNonsense! I barely get any people to enter simply from my music. Iâm more than happy to have someone who has a taste for piano.â
Midoriya wilted slightly, looking for the sheet music only to see there was none. âHowâd you do that? Play without music?â
âMy quirk! I call it Natural Touch! Basically, Iâm a natural piano player. I can make a whole piece simply by moving my fingers to however Iâm feeling!â
âWow! Incredible!â
âIndeed it is. I have a feeling the fate brought you here. Now, sit. Letâs find your calling.â
âââââââââââââââââââââââ
Two years passed and Midoriya was finally in his third year of junior high. Unfortunately the school year had just started and Midoriya was no where close to having his interaction with the sludge villain and All Might.
Midoriya was quick to clean his desk, wiping off the marker-written graffiti that was nothing more than unoriginal and overused insults with the new cleaner he purchased online. Tossing his bag over his shoulder, Midoriya rushed out of the school in a hurry. He had told the woman who he now called Sae-san he had finished his newest piece.
He had based the entire piece off of the overwhelming intoxication of needing to be perfect. It was like chasing after your dreams and seeing how far away it was but still rushing forward, wonderfully out of breath as you panted. It was almost as if you were running in a endless open field of beautiful flowers and lively green grass as the wind twirled and tugged at your hair. It was the struggle, the fight and pride bubbling in your stomach as you find a motivation inside your gut. It was a long and beautifully painfully journey. Short and swift moments that switched to tedious and serious clashes, the anxiety, and then the run. It was the home stretch where you admire the world around as you make it to the end.
Midoriya saw the beauty. He saw it all. Now he has put it into a beautiful piece to tell the story, to covey the emotions.
Running out the school doors, he failed to see his bullies waiting for him outside. For the group to see Midoriya run, it brought a smirk among their faces as they assumed he was trying to escape a beating. Midoriya was swift on his feet, somewhat similar to a beautiful fox. The group was surprised at his speed and agility. At some points they lost him and could only spot him when he was rushing through a long open area.
About three corners away from his destination, the bullies lost Midoriya. Frustrated, they settled on beating him up first thing the next time they saw him. Deciding that they could just hang out since they were all together, the group wandered around the area seeing all the small shops.
Soon, they arrived on the same block as the music shop, Midoriyaâs location. Unaware of Midoriyaâs presence, they mindlessly bought some snacks at a small convince store. As soon as they left the store, they sat down on a bench right outside the music store.
The bully with hideous long grey hair almost spat out his drink when he looked into the window only to see Midoriya. This, of course, caught the attention of Bakugo and the black haired douchebag. The other two looked just as surprised to see Midoriya.
Bakugo smirked as he went to get up. âFound you, worthless fucker!â
Holding Bakugo back by his arm, the black haired bully didnât even spare a glance to the blond. âHold up. Deku is fucking going to play the piano?â
âNo fucking way,â snorted the grey haired idiot.
Bakugo lowered himself back onto the bench, a psychotic smile worn on his face. âOh, this is gonna be pathetic!â
The two nodded in agreement watching. Suddenly a beautiful woman rushed over with a chair. Midoriya seemed surprised by her excitement, letting out a squeaking noise. The woman let out an airy laugh as he clapped.
Just like on the fateful day Midoriya met her, the windows were wide open along with the front door. The sun was shining bright as the sky was a beautiful shade of blue. Fluffy, lively clouds offered periodic moments of shade that came and went as they pleased.
Midoriya seemed to realize something as he shot up from where he was sitting and rushed behind the counter. The woman watched with a patient smile, unbothered. Midoriya returned holding a stack of papers.
The woman looked up at him in amazement. âIs... is this the sheet music?â
Midoriya eagerly nodded, handing the sheets to her. The woman was quickly to pull the pages apart and lay them out. He paused when she was dividing post-it notes. She gasped harshly as she stared at the nervous boy standing over her.
âAre these overlapping one another?â
Midoriya shyly nodded, motioning to the post-its. âYes. Using a layering device, each of these chords will be overlapping and progressively being played over one another. After so many counts, the new layer will be able to be taken.â
The woman gasped, scooping up all the papers and cheering out in pure joy. âGenius! Youâre amazing! Adding and removing layers to create a passionate and climaxing piece! The âbuilding-upâ style will be a moving one!â
Midoriya shook his head, waving his hands. âWellâ yes! That was the whole goal but I wouldnât call it genius! Besides, I wouldnât ever be as amazing as you!â
âHaving a quirk has absolutely nothing to do with talent and skill. You are a wonderful person and Iâm grateful to have you be a part of my life. Now... play,â the woman nudged, resting a hand on Midoriyaâs shoulder.
Midoriya nodded sitting down onto the bench. The woman looked at the papers before extending them out. âDo you need these?â
Midoriya offered a warm smile. âNope. I actually printed them off just for you.â
The lady chuckled, holding them close. âOf course, I shouldnât have expected any less of you than to memorize the piece by heart.â
Midoriya connected his device to piano and made sure it was working. After quickly changing a setting, Midoriya finally nodded and started the countdown. Nodding his head to the tempo he prepared his hands.
Taking a quick breath he started to play.
Simply tapping one note before randomly throwing in another for a while almost brought the bystanders to laughter. Midoriya picked up his hands as the notes continued the play while he quickly moved his fingers to add a layer. The process repeated, and repeated, and repeated.
The woman seemed just as stunned as his bullies. Their jaws hung low as Midoriya passionately played, eyes occasionally opening as he smiled. The wind picked up as the sun almost magically came out from the clouds, blinding everyone with Midoriyaâs beauty and power.
The woman closed her eyes, body swaying to the music as he allowed herself to feel. She felt the struggles, the fear, the flight, and the childish excitement of his existence.
Midoriya suddenly cut off multiple layers with the single tap of his foot on an electronic pedal and was beginning to relayer all over again. It was a beautiful mess of emotion invoking chords and jumbles of notes.
The group of bullies hadnât moved an inch, too entranced to do much of anything. They felt his music, his mind, his passion. It was oddly uplifting yet leaving them in a drowning feeling. The way Midoriyaâs messy curly hair was picked up and tossed in the wind as his eyes were gently closed as his body pushed and occasionally ground ďżźforward with power. His head bowed and rolled to the music as every ounce of himself was the piece.
Finally he came to a stop before taking a deep breath and opening his eyes. Suddenly a present voice caught everyone off guard.
âCan I please take you out on a date?â a voice desperately asked.
Midoriya jumped, his whole body turning to see who had said such a thing to him even he already knew who. An average looking guy with short blond hair and blue eyes stood in the doorway with a smirk. He was wearing a stylish polo with some black ripped jeans. In his hand was a plastic bag.
Midoriya sighed, excusing himself from the shop owner. âNeito, why bother? I already told youâ!â
âThat I canât like you because youâre quirkless. Unfortunately you canât tell me who I can like. So Iâm here to forcefully take you out on a date. First, I have some offerings.â
Midoriya couldnât help but smile as he made his way over to Monoma. âWhat is it now?â
Monoma opened the bag and first pulled out a small object. âHold out your hands.â
Midoriya raised a brow, hesitantly holding out his hands. Monoma quickly put the object in Midoriyaâs hands only to reveal a beautiful crystal. Looking at it, Midoriya suddenly made the connection.
âAre you trying to woo me like penguins do?â
âYes. Next.â
Midoriya waited patiently as Monoma carefully reached a hand into the plastic bag. Midoriya found himself growing nervous when Monoma started pulling his hand up, out of the bag. Holding a box he quickly got down on one knee and revealed a ring.
âMarry me!â
Midoriya stared at the boy blankly, watching the eager look in Monomaâs eyes as he looked as if he was about to shatter the box in his hand. Midoriyaâs moment of shock passed and genuine embarrassment and joy rushed through him.
âNeito! We are 14! We canât get married!â
Neito stood up, still holding the ring. âI donât care! Youâre a goddess and Iâd be damned if I didnât claim you!â
Midoriya couldnât help but roll his head back as he was gasping for air. âOh my god! Youâre like a possessive puppy, thatâs so cute!â
âHey! Itâs romantic and I won you over with the crystal!â Monoma declared as he took the ring out of the box.
The shop owner walked over with a large smile. âConsider it a promise ring if engagement ring doesnât suit your fancy. Monoma, tell him the ring is a symbol of your love for him and your plans to marry him."
Midoriya gasped in betrayal, looking at the woman. âNagisa! How could you!â
The woman, now known as Nagisa, laughed, âYou need a boyfriend, girlfriend, anyone. Besides, I like this one, heâs a bit of a brat but isnât scared to show his affection. You need someone like that.â
Midoriya crossed his arms, looking at Monoma stubbornly. âWell, I donât know why you keep coming back. Iâve turned you down every time for the about the past half year. Why would you waste so much time on trying to win someone like me over?â
Bakugo was officially broken, his eyes wide as he was about to explode the soda tightly gripped in his hands. His lackeys on the other hand were trying to hide their guilt due to seeing the effect their actions have had on Midoriya. By hiding their guilt, it was more like stuffing their face with chips while watching the scene before them as if this was the best entertainment theyâve ever seen in years.
Honestly, it was unsettling for them all to see Midoriya be the one rejecting advances. They were especially surprised to see him openly say he was quirkless and Monoma ignore Midoriyaâs explanations.
Monoma dramatically took Midoriyaâs wrist and held the ring close to Midoriyaâs face. âThis ring is a symbol of my love for you and my plans to marry you. Whether or not you accept it, I want you to know that you are a dream. God, I couldnât even imagine someone as perfect as you. Pretty, yet talented and dedicated. Shameless per say.â
Midoriya was breathless as the ring was slipped onto his finger. The words gently but sternly spoken to him seemed to sink deep. Midoriya felt relief wash over him as tears just started falling down his face. The two watching him sudden burst into tears freaked out, worried they upset him or went too far.
Midoriya laughed as he cried, ignoring the fact Monoma hadnât been able to fully slip on the ring. âYou idiot! Donât talk like that.â
Monoma realized it was tears of... not a negative emotion and smirked. âOh? But itâs true. I will marry you!â
Midoriya rolled his eyes, wiping his tears. âAlright. Then youâre willing to meet my parents then?â
Nagisa, who was now cackling, lowered herself to the ground. âOh my god! This is why I love you Izuku!â
Monoma took a deep breath before standing in a âpower poseâ.
âYes! I will do it! I will get their blessing.â
Midoriya nodded, walking to his book bag and digging inside it. Walking back over he held up a necklace with an odd shaped charm on it.
âNeito, meet my dad. Dad, meet Neito.â
Nagisa must have seen it coming as she started blasting disco music. Neito looked horrified while Midoriya smugly held up a necklace containing his fathers ashes.
Bakugo and the bullies felt their hearts stop as theyâve bullied someone whoâs lost their father. To make it worse, they probably bullied him the day he found out his father died and throughout the course of him trying to cope with it.
Neito immediately panicked. âIâm so sorry! I didnât know thatâ!â
Midoriya waved his hand, ignoring the apology. âLighten up. It was last year and I never met the asshole. We just got permission to have him buried over here after being cremated so me and mom just took some ashes to keep.â
Nagisa walked back over, holding a water bottle. âYeah, I remember you coming in one day with a disappointed face. All you ever said was âmy dad died before I even got to meet him. He just died. Iâm literally thirteen.â
Neito seemed to chipper up, a genuine smile on his face as he looked as the necklace Midoriya was holding. âJust wondering... why donât you wear it? You have it on a necklace.â
Midoriya shrugged, putting it into his bookbag. âWell, my bullies would probably take it from me and destroy it. They donât really consider what I posses, they just want to ruin it.â
âHow? Why? Youâre amazing! What is wrong with those assholes?â Neito gasped harshly, his hands gesturing to sculpt Midoriyaâs body.
Midoriya shrugged, finally admiring the ring. âI donât know. Theyâve all just treated me that way after I came out quirkless. I just donât carry anything important on with me anymore.â
âSo you wonât be wearing my ring?â Neito frowned, looking at the ring.
Midoriya smiled, taking his necklace and adding ring to the chain. Clasping the back of the necklace, Midoriya cheerfully held it up to show Monoma.
âSee! Iâll always have it. Although, I will probably wear it all the time outside of school,â Midoriya suggested his plan.
Monoma smugly put his hands on his hips, pleased. Midoriya got nervous at that look, preparing himself. Monoma lunged at Midoriya, swooping the boy up and hauling him up bridal style.
âBye, Nagisa! Im taking my fiancĂŠ out on a date.â
Midoriya shouted, reaching out for Nagisa. âWe arenât engaged!â
âYou didnât refuse my date proposal,â Monoma proudly pointed out.
Midoriya deflated, allowing himself to be carried out the store by Monoma. Nagisa happily escorted the two out before quickly telling Midoriya to play the piece for her again later. Midoriya rolled his eyes, agreeing to it as he was taken out of the store.
Midoriya sighed, looking up at Monoma. âCould you set me down?â
Monoma stopped walking, looking at Midoriya, âAs long as you let me hold your hand.â
Midoriya couldnât help but smile, looking up at Monoma. âDeal.â
Once Midoriya was back on his feet, he took off his uniform shirt to reveal a slim-fit solid red bishop long-sleeve tee. It was tucked into his pants and matched his res shoes. Throwing the uniform top into his bag, he turned to smile at Monoma.
âI just had to get off that uniform top. I wish I had planned on going out, otherwise I wouldâve brought a full change of clothes. Anyway, lead the way!â Midoriya turned to flash a warm smile at the boy he was now dating.
Monoma couldnât help but stare at Midoriya momentarily, grateful for the boy he finally achieved winning over. Taking the boys hand, Monoma smirked.
âAlright, you better get prepared. Iâm about to take you out on the best first date ever.â
Midoriya smugly raised a brow, slightly squeezing back Monomaâs hand before walking forward to signal it was time to move. âWell, Iâm waiting.â
Midoriya officially had caught each of his bullies by surprised. In more ways than one. All three felt anger. The problem about that was that they werenât sure who it was directed at. Either way, Midoriya scored a sexy boyfriend and the envy of his stubborn bullies that refused to accept his success.
