I came across the novelization for Revenge of the Fallen at a used bookstore. I bought it purely because of this sticker.
Has this watch been posted before? I can't be the only one who noticed...
Tony is standing in front of Thanos!
Tony stands protecting before his friends and team partners, absolutely all who are important to him. His arms are wide open, as if to say
"this far and no further"
"you will not harm them"
"I will not fucking allow it ya hear me"
"first you must pass me"
“over. my. dead. body.”
TONY IS STANDING IN FRONT OF THANOS! With his BACK to his probably greatest arch-enemy and he doesn't care how much he has to give and take. He’s ready to die. Tony Stark is protecting the universe, his family and friends and a world that never loved him.
Now, I think we’re all pretty devastated after Infinity War. That movie was like a boxing match. It was like Infinity War was Muhammed Ali and we were Sonny Linston. And we know there are many deaths to come. With that, I just wanted to say:
Either Tony or Rogers WILL die. One of them will, and we’ll just have to deal. But I ask of you, and this goes both to Tony stans and Cap stans, please, please don’t be assholes to eachother.
Don’t write a paragraph about how happy you are Tony died and how he deserved it.
Don’t celebrate Roger’s death.
Don’t rub these characters’s death in the face of their fans just because you don’t like them. Both Rogers and Tony have affected the MCU fanbase in greater ways than we can possibly know, and brought their fans happiness in their own ways, with their unique qualities and flaws and character depth that made them relateable to fans from all around the world.
We’re talking about two of the most beloved Marvel characters. Characters a lot of fans love, and relate to. If (and when) Tony Stark dies, its going to be the saddest day of my life.
Because I honest to God love that self-sacrificing sad dork. Iron Man was the first superhero movie I’ve watched, and this character holds a very special place in my heart, because I could relate to him in so many ways, and he made me care about him like he was a real person. I felt like I had a friend. And when he dies, it will devastate me and so many more fans.
Rogers had and still has the exact same impact as Tony for his fans. Do I particularly care if he DOES indeed die? No. Because I dislike Rogers and what he’s done and the decisions he made, so his death wouldn’t affect me. But will I be a nasty bitch to Team Cap fans and be smug because the character they loved dearly and probably had a huge role in their lives had died? No. Why? Because I’m not a fucking mean person.
So when Avengers 4 DOES come, here is what I’d like to do:
Forget about Team Iron Man and Team Cap for the day and enjoy the movie as a collective.
Comfort Tony Stark fans if Tony dies even if we dislike Tony or not.
Comfort Steve Rogers fans if Rogers dies even if we dislike Rogers not.
Example: “So hey, i didn’t really like Cap/Tony, but I know you did and I’m sorry that happened. I’m here if you need to talk.”
Don’t be mean to one another.
Just be nice to eachother for a day and then we can go back to the petty shit.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Light at the End of the Road : The bright light at the end of this country road is actually a remarkably close conjunction of two planets. After sunset on August 27 brilliant Venus and Jupiter almost appear as a single celestial beacon in the night skyscape taken near Lake Wivenhoe, Queensland, Australia. A spectacular vertical panorama from the southern hemisphere, it shows the central Milky Way near zenith, posed on top of a pillar of Zodiacal light along the ecliptic plane. Of course Mars and Saturn are near the ecliptic too, just below the galaxy’s central bulge. Above and left of a tree on the horizon, fleeting planet Mercury also adds to the light at the end of the road. via NASA
