Now, I think we’re all pretty devastated after Infinity War. That movie was like a boxing match. It was like Infinity War was Muhammed Ali and we were Sonny Linston. And we know there are many deaths to come. With that, I just wanted to say:
Either Tony or Rogers WILL die. One of them will, and we’ll just have to deal. But I ask of you, and this goes both to Tony stans and Cap stans, please, please don’t be assholes to eachother.
Don’t write a paragraph about how happy you are Tony died and how he deserved it.
Don’t celebrate Roger’s death.
Don’t rub these characters’s death in the face of their fans just because you don’t like them. Both Rogers and Tony have affected the MCU fanbase in greater ways than we can possibly know, and brought their fans happiness in their own ways, with their unique qualities and flaws and character depth that made them relateable to fans from all around the world.
We’re talking about two of the most beloved Marvel characters. Characters a lot of fans love, and relate to. If (and when) Tony Stark dies, its going to be the saddest day of my life.
Because I honest to God love that self-sacrificing sad dork. Iron Man was the first superhero movie I’ve watched, and this character holds a very special place in my heart, because I could relate to him in so many ways, and he made me care about him like he was a real person. I felt like I had a friend. And when he dies, it will devastate me and so many more fans.
Rogers had and still has the exact same impact as Tony for his fans. Do I particularly care if he DOES indeed die? No. Because I dislike Rogers and what he’s done and the decisions he made, so his death wouldn’t affect me. But will I be a nasty bitch to Team Cap fans and be smug because the character they loved dearly and probably had a huge role in their lives had died? No. Why? Because I’m not a fucking mean person.
So when Avengers 4 DOES come, here is what I’d like to do:
Forget about Team Iron Man and Team Cap for the day and enjoy the movie as a collective.
Comfort Tony Stark fans if Tony dies even if we dislike Tony or not.
Comfort Steve Rogers fans if Rogers dies even if we dislike Rogers not.
Example: “So hey, i didn’t really like Cap/Tony, but I know you did and I’m sorry that happened. I’m here if you need to talk.”
Don’t be mean to one another.
Just be nice to eachother for a day and then we can go back to the petty shit.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
Thanks for reminding. I had just recovered from it T___T

I just recently had a conversation with my friend about Tony's reaction when he saw the video. She said she couldn't understand his outburst of anger because he had never talked about his parents before or generally showed no feelings towards them.
I don't talk much about my parents with my friends either but if and God forbid they should die and I get a nervous breakdown and lock myself in my room for weeks and my face is red and wet from my tears, would my friend not understand it either? Would she misunderstand the natural reaction of a human individual to a traumatic loss? Would she seriously question human psychology? And if after weeks/months/years I was asked about my parents' death and I broke into tears again because I loved them so much and the wound was torn open again, would she also not understand this?
My reaction would be absolutely legitimate, why shouldn't it be Tony's?
Her statement was disgusting.
I don't hate any of those three. Not Tony, not Bucky, not Steve. But I say that each of them should have acted differently then it would never have come to that point. They've all made mistakes.
Just a few posts I collected that are nice examples of how Tony Stark is not just some self-centered jerk.
I’ve said it before, but you can’t take everything the man does at face value. He’s a deep and very human character that you have to pay close attention to and try to understand.
