I know this probably goes against the show name, but Growing outside of your own parents shadow and becoming your own person is something that every child has to go through.

if we ever want for MK to see Wukong as, not only as a father figure, but as a parent, I had to first be sure that he doesn’t see them as only “the monkey king” anymore. And of course, MK can’t only be a copy of his father. I know that in the show he doesn’t always uses Wukong powers exactly like him, but now that he’s also discovering his Stone Monkey powers and Macaque’s, he has to find a way to harness and use his own powers in his own way.

Can you guess what this means? It’s TRAINING ARC PART 2!

This is the time where I have to pray that I didn’t messed up anything with this mythological figure bc the info about him are sooo few. For those confused, I already mentioned this character in THIS part of the comic. In certain representation he's more similar to a bull while in other more like a snake. I tried a lil bit of both.

if it wasn’t clear only the cuff remains when the weapon isn not summoned. Kind of a in-between from completely summon it like macaque and keeping it hidden like wukong does. Also as his shadow powers grows, he will able to extend/stretch/widen the staff more like the normal ruyi bang.

Also I hope I haven't offended anyone in anyway, what I mean here's is that he's AFAB, and he looked at the two of them and went "mmh... I mean, they look AMAB but I could be wrong so-" since technically he's biologically a mix of the two. So his question was more of a "why did Nuwa made me AFAB if this is the case." If there's a better way to write the dialouge lemme know.

To answer these asks: Macaque is ALWAYS cold, and is extremely self-aware about his fur/body when uncovered. Both because he's much more lean and skinny compared to Wukong and because of a lot of scars (he gets scarred more easily) And he still needs to bring his own clothes to Wukong.

Mac is just- I'm not normal about this character. I think for a long time, he felt like he had to always be the voice of reason, the one who always stopped his companion into stupid situation, the helicopter mama when it comes to MK, the mature one between him and Wukong. Probably as a way to stand out of Wukong shadow, trying to compensate the areas he lacks, or to try to hide what he thinks are weakness

While, most of the time, he's just- so scared. like a little kid. I feel like sometimes, he just needs to be held.

My own personal take on why Macaque fur isn’t usually white despite being, well, a macaque. And since MK also owns his shadow powers weeeeelll… Also MK is much more towards the blonde than the white since he still took from Wukong fur color.

Maybe I made this a bigger deal than what it is, but for me THIS was my personal endgame. Of course it's not over ahah,the endgame still needs to start. But It took 116 days, 638 panels and 6 months in the AU for our baby to fully accept the monkeys as his parents. This story in the end, it's about parenthood and family.
