I want to know what Dazai's stans felt when this chapter got released π€
And me wondering what dazai had to go through when he was on his way to the jail. Drugged and all, it pained me to see him like that π₯Ί and mori's face here says something but I can't decipher it.
Dazai : sweet but psycho. psycho but sweet
Joking. He's not a psycho. He's the sweetest boy ever
Uninstalling tumblr back. Will be back after 2 weeks and stuck in it for hours reading posts about bsd and bsd-related news...
Why do I get the feeling that neither of them (Dazai & Fyodor) will die. Instead, it will be another person lowkey thought it's either nikolai or sigma but nvm. That smug face and chuckle are like saying "what a duel u have there". While having something else in their mind cause you know they are a demon and a demon prodigy. And Dazai's mocking of Fyodor's friends and he just agreed in the same mocking way.
I do think that maybe one of them will die like Dazai said. But thinking back, they are both geniuses (like in another level). And they are similar to one another, they can predict each other's actions like if it's me, I'll do this or that. So I think that's rather impossible for them to kill each other. They will have another plan come up.
Or if they both have something against one another, they might kill or at least an actual duel. It's okay for either of them to die (Dazai especially), I guess? For the plot. But for the victory of the ADA, Dazai have to live. And I think Fukuchi's death is incoming. Fyodor won't be happy of the situation π
But the person who I want doom to come to him the most is
This grandfather here...

He already wanted to die even before he met Mori and when they met, Mori use that as an opportunity to use Dazai, to make him a witness.
Here, I think that he just went along with what Mori want. And again, he looked really relaxed on that table as if that was a school table. The table, the situation, the wires, and that thing around his body (Idk), it doesn't fazed him at all. Like when Mori killed the boss. This gives more proof that Dazai did have dark life and background way before he met the underground doctor.
Make us more eager to know Dazai's past π
Forgive any insensibility, but I really donβt understand why people would be upset at BSD or at the vampire arc. It seems so, so clear that itβs only a plot point, none of those important characters are going to die - the fact that itβs so many main-cast characters all infected should precisely be an indication that itβll have to be undone. It runs long, for sure, itβs a huge-ass buildup to a rollercoaster climax and it can be a lot to take in, but Iβm really not seeing anything wrong, traitorous to the audience or a single sign of bad writing, from my point of view.
BSD doesnβt make a habit of killing characters, not main-cast ones. Side characters, guards, smaller enemies, sure, but not main cast. Thatβs why Iβm calm as ever and simply enjoying the ride!
Oh Dazai please donβt ever change I love you so much
i have read some people saying that canon!dazai must know where the book is because of what happens in beast, but i don't think he does. (or if he does know, it's not because of beast).
at the end of the beast light novel, beast!dazai explains that he was able of knowing the truth about that world because he had canon!dazai's memories. this was possible because of no longer human, since it nullifies any ability (and we know the book is an unknown user's ability), and when the alternative world was created, with all the alters in it, beast!dazai ended up being different because of course he had different experiences, but he still had the same knowledge as canon!dazai: there is a book which can change reality, and there are people after it. it's like beast!dazai has a different life inside his head.
this however, does not mean that canon!dazai knows about beast!dazai, because he cannot exist in the outside, real world, unless someone in the real world finds the book and writes about a world where oda didn't die etc., only at that point canon!dazai would have beast!dazai's memories.
let's take what is happening in the manga as an example: doa wrote on the book's page that the ada members are murderers. this means that the universe in the book where the ada members really are murderers became real in the world outside the book, so everyone believes it, and the ada members have conflicting memories since they know they didn't do it yet they also have the memory of doing it (since they actually did it in the world inside the book).
in conclusion: beast!dazai has the knowledge of the real dazai outside, because the book/ability doesn't affect him (so he isn't really a different person, he basically shares everything with canon!dazai but has different experiences, which change his personality) but canon!dazai isn't even aware of his existence yet.
another terrifying thing is that every dazai in the book will know about every dazai in every world and he will always know his life is not the original (unless there's a world where dazai is not an ability user or has a different ability, then the book would affect him like everyone).
The fact that Odasaku said that there's an unspoken rule in the mafia not to get involve with another member's personal battles then goes on to single out Dazai, saying it's different for him, that all the difficult things in his heart should be dragged out and stepped upon mercilessly
