You know what annoys me? Is how soooo many people can’t read between the lines when we have the whole conversation between cross hair and the squad saying I was one of you… bleh bleh. I’ll give you what you didn’t give me… a chance. Crosshairs story is actually sad when you think about it, he’s a survivor of order 66 and being experimented on which unfortunately a lot of people in the military are. Crosshair’s inhibitor chip turned on during order 66 like the rest of the clones, at the time however the batch and him didn’t know what it was and why his behavior was more ‘unyielding’ then usual.

Remember Omega saying she knew what he was going to do and that he couldn’t help it? How she asked him not too? She knew his chip activated. The batch didn’t realize their was something ‘wrong’ with all of them until they learned about the chips, and assumed Crosshair’s was defective because they all where ‘defective’ but they never went back for him.Remember how Cross hair said “Good Soldiers follow orders” and it is the same exact thing that Wrecker said before his chip went off and he attacked? It’s a tagline in the chip for them to say.

Crosshair feels betrayed because he originally didn’t have a choice, his brother abandoned him and then was experimented on to see if they could turn up the intensity of his chip. It wasn’t until season 1 episode 8 ‘Reunion’ that he got his chipped removed when he was burned. After this episode we start to see him slowly starting to wake up in small moments, fragments of who he was. His brothers abandoned him, didn’t save him from his chip & didn’t even try to save him. After abandoning him, why would he have go with them? They broke his trust.

So seeing Crosshair care so deeply for Mayday and the defeated we see him feel at his death and at the empire, everyone has abandoned him. After Crosshairs bad comment about Dead weight, Mayday still chose to save him; Crosshair had someone decent to put his faith and trust in for a minute. When the avalanche came down, Mayday still pushed him out of the way regardless of his attitude and saved him and not himself. Is such a pivotal moment because he truly sees who the empire is and how much they don’t care. Regardless of his anger towards his brothers he still cares and is learning.
