I one time got a bloody nose during S.A.T prep and it was so bad but I didn't want to bother the whole class during something so important just to go to the restroom. So I sat there. Nose stuffed into my jacket sleeve, blood starting to pool up on my desk as I laid my head in my arms. The teacher seemed to think I was asleep and called on me and wouldn't let up until I finally took my head out of my arms. There was blood everywhere. My jacket had turned a different hue, my face from my nose down was stained red, my hands were covered in it from trying to stop the blood on my desk from leaking on to the floor and all I can remember me saying at the time was, "Um... I'm sorry. I, uh, don't... Think, I know this one." I was sent to the office to clean up but was never told to go home. Turns out my class got free time because the school had to clean the room. So... Win? I guess?

I'm so excited!!! My partner said we could go see Sonic 3 on the 21st!!! I've been sketching Sonic gijinka all night I can't wait!!! So far I've done busts of Tails (cause he's my favorite) and Knucks but I plan on doing the whole gang! Yippee!!! 🎉

First off, this isn’t meant to water down ryuji s character and never will be. He’s one of my favorite characters and is easily one of the most misunderstood character second to morgana.

Part 1

If I had to give Ryuji and American name it would have to be Ryan. Not just because it starts with an R but also because just aesthetically.

Ryan

On the track and field team not only in cannon but in his AMSAE.

(American middle school altar ego. )

He called wrestling,tennis, and soccer “gay” (derogatory)

kind of ironic considering he would come out as bi in high school. (Max told me himself)

While he didn’t moan in the back of the classroom as a joke, he did indeed make rubber band and paper projectiles. At one point he even started selling them.

Every doorframe was meant to be hit, no exceptions.

his mom dressed him.

All his outfits were color coordinated, specifically to match the same yellow hoodie he wore every day.

Wore shorts in the dead of winter and said “what do you mean?!!? It’s not cold???”

He never once touched a school lunch his mom packed it for him :)

Got called “mommas boy”

His favorite classes were the specialty classes. He would always sign up for as many as humanly possible.

He was that kid who was friendly with the janitor.

He was part of the “jocks”

And by jocks I mean scrawny 12 year old boys who thought the middle school experience was exactly like high school despite just getting out of elementary school.

School dances are a really big thing. And going with a girlfriend that would ultimately be gone in 3 days was even more important.

He took some random girl and they awkwardly stared at each other.

Despite fitting all the criteria for an annoying asshole that ruined the experience,he only enhanced it.

He was extremely friendly and the younger teachers loved him. They would constantly make an effort to help him get better :)

I give ryuji 8 stars , he enhanced the middle school experience for everyone. He was friendly funny and the only problematic jokes he made were slightly misogynistic and homophobic. But not intentionally :) he gets a few points knocked off for being the only one to not say bababooey. If you refer to one of my previous posts youll see. It’s honestly a shame . Also those sneakers were a nightmare to look at.

So where we going first boys girls and non-newtonians. "Abandoned murder family cabin", "Big creepy tree with a face that bleeds" or "Moss covered undead cemetery (with fountain)". There's other stuff but to be honest I want to hit the best places before they fill up to much. We can hit up "Haunted semi-burnt down water wheel factory" or "Dead kids tree swing over deep river" first if you want, their spirits usually only come out during dusk anyway.

Okay but on some serious shit for those in the lgbtqia+ community or an ally of the community that are out here pushing people out of the closet because it's your belief that everyone should be out and proud, while yes I understand people should be proud to be themselves and love who they are with no restraints it also is not up to you. If someone is not comfortable or safe to come out you should comfort them and stay by them till they are strong enough to let that side out, not push them into a situation were they can fall into a depressive state or even receive physical, emotional, or mental harm. By forcing someone out of the closet you could be putting them in harms way so please if you have a friend or family member that is lgbtqia+ please wait for them to come out at their own time and reassure them you'll be here for every step of the way.

As a kid that came from a 'She loves me, she loves me so much it hurts. I just wish she was a better Mother so loving her back didn't feel so hard' relationship with my own mom I latched on to Kurt and Rouge so, so hard as a kid. I felt their pain, their conflict, but every time I saw Raven... I couldn't help but love her, couldn't help seeing my mom in her. It doesn't help that Mystique is actually her favorite right behind Storm. It's my own inside 'joke', my mom will always love me just like Raven will always love Kurt and Anna but she was never the mother they needed her to be, especially when they needed her the most. Maybe I won't always feel like her little Nightcrawler, but for now, I don't mind it so much, I have my own Rouge after all (even comes with their own Gambit) and he's the best big brother in the world.

I think the ideas that

“Raven is a bad parent”

And

“Raven loves their children”

Can and should co exist. I will never sit here and say Mystique is a good parent, but I think acting like they don’t love their children is just being willfully ignorant of their characterization since the 80s.

I see a lot of people try to claim Raven doesn’t care about their kids. I actually think they care a LOT, it just, doesn’t deter their actions. And they’re not a good parent, don’t get me wrong, but that doesn’t mean they don’t love Kurt and Rogue and I think trying to claim they don’t actually does away with a lot of Raven’s character nuance.

A lot of the tragedy and depth of their relationships come from the fact that Raven DOES love their children, but it’s not enough. And Kurt and Anna Marie know that, and that’s part of the tragedy of it too.

I’m not a Mystique defender, but I am a Raven Darkhölme characterization realist. A lot of people flatten their character to add more sympathy to Kurt’s story especially, which feels kinda iffy to me. But that’s for another post.

From a storytelling perspective, it adds so much more depth and tragedy to all characters involved to not make the relationship so shallow and one sided as “Oh Mystique doesn’t love them”, and even to juxtapose Raven’s relationship to them with Irene’s is a whole other thing I may talk about one day. But like, you do the story injustice to flatten it down to just “Oh Mystique sucks”

Tl;dr - Raven Darkhölme is a shitty parent but they do love their kids. And that’s the whole tragedy of the thing

Any One Piece fans that see this I need some help deciding something!

So I'm writing a fanfic that is set in a modern au where the East Blue Crew meet up as kids. My problem? I've come to realize something I weirdly haven't seen much school fics or comics cover and that is, THAT SANJI IS PRACTICALLY A YEAR OLDER THAN ZORO!!!

This matters in a school setting where because of their birthdays technically, in my fic, Sanji would be in 7th grade at 12 while the rest are all still in elementary school (specifically speaking Zoro(12) and Nami(11) both being in 6th without him)

If I age him down there'd be about three months between Zoro and Sanji, but Zoro would now be the oldest EBC kid (followed by Sanji and everyone else carries out as normal)

So the question is:
