Okay I’m sorting this out for my own purposes: My hc is that the Warriors don’t get paid until they’re Titan Holders because then at least they’re honorary marleyeans. Meanwhile this is a system that destabilises Liberio as so many of their Eldian children are sent into the Warrior System and extensively train for long hours to the point where their actual schooling on how to get viable jobs is disrupted.

Also there is absolutely financial abuse going on in there too-threatening to reduce/withold wages if the Warriors don’t comply or aren’t up to (their standards of) par.

What gets me about Reiner is that he really could have been a great man. How he acted in the scouts wasn't fake. He is protective, loyal, and strives to earn respect,

Unfortunately, he was raised in a society where protecting people meant becoming a murderer, loyalty was exploited for politics, and respect was earned by chaining yourself to a death sentence

This is about Reiner in fanfiction that aren’t about Reiner. He’s often depicted as a toxic ex or a violent person and I know they’re just fanfiction but in canon when was the last time you saw him harm anyone out right. When Sasha punched him unprovoked he said she was right despite it being unreasonable- he let Eren punch his face with his silly nubs. He’s just a teddybear 😞 I know he’s a fictional soldier but he’s genuinely just a teddybear

Despite the years these panels still have a special place in my heart ! I loved drawing this sensuality and love tension growing between these two complementary boys…became men ! 🔥

I also think this Tolt is still among the best Timeskip Bertolt I drew so far ! 😳🔥He is exactly the handsome and more confident man - while keeping his tenderness ! - I always imagined he would be as an adult !!
