EDIT: replaced Wafaa's old campaign with a link to her new one

@wafaaresh reached out for help boosting her new campaign

Wafa has started this campaign to raise funds her her family's evacuation. The funds will cover evacuation costs for her, her parents, her siblings (6 brothers and 5 sisters), and her siblings' children. The money will also help afford necessities and medical treatment for her family.

Wafa had graduated from university and dreamed of traveling, but her ambitions have all been destroyed. She and her family have also lost their stores and home, both destroyed by the Israeli occupation, leaving them without income and proper shelter for these past 9 months.

Her family has been displaced more than 10 times since the genocide began. They are without access to food or drinking water, and many members of her family are suffering from hepatitis and malnutrition.

Her mother suffers from chronic hypertension, needs daily blood pressure medication, and needs surgery for varicose veins in her leg. Wafa and her family cannot afford her medication or surgery at this time.

Wafa's gfm and her account are new, and I wasn't able to find any verification for her so I talked with her to try and verify her campaign. She gave me the information I have restated here, and I'd like to include the photos she sent me as well.

This is Wafa's little sister, Sara (the girl pictured in the cover of the gfm) with their brother, Mohamud, and his son, Abood. The photo was taken in their house. You can see more of Wafa's house in this post. The background of the photo matches the home shown in the video.

$50/$50,000

The next photos are of Wafa's younger brother, Mohiy. He had an operation on May 20th, 2024 for a a gallbladder operation to treat his hepatitis and severe pancreatitis. She has told me he has recovered from the pain he was suffering from and that he is in a better condition. Here are the photos she gave me of him. The first is before Oct. 7th and the second is after his operation.

Please donate and help spread this post around. Wafa's campaign is new and needs attention.

Hi, you reblogged a scam from friedgardenlady, who is promoting a donation scam. They have had this scam running for a very long time, as they have used many default tumblr usernames while using the same stolen photo and name "Edina/Edinah." Their first name spelling hasn't even been consistent, as the header says "Edinah" meanwhile they were previously linking to a PayPal belonging to "Edina Sirikale." (Here's the post link https://www.tumblr.com/gaygirldoodles/758467054598832128/hi-im-still-having-high-blood-pressure-and?source=share) This PayPal has been associated with the trail of donation scams the person has been pulling, so they changed the PayPal to "Annah Musa." (List of "Edina's" various scam accounts: https://www.tumblr.com/jadelemonadee/755663533049561088/gloriousdestinycollectoredina-sirikale-is-running?source=share) Note: both surnames Sirikale and Musa are from east and west Africa respectively, not associated with the "mixed indigenous latine" heritage they claim to have.

It has been going on for months, meaning that their story of constantly needing "just $450" for insulin and always being "last to my pen" is dishonest. Since they apparently live in the U.S., they should know by now that the price of insulin was capped at $35/pen, meaning that even if they were unable to buy a single unit, a full box of pens (3) would cost $105 plus tax.

Please, before interacting with a donation request, check their blog. Do searches of the text username through the tumblr search engine or reverse image search their photos, as some users have compiled scam lists. (e.g. kyra45, anonthescambuster, azalea-alter) Many donation requests are honest, but there are plenty of repeat scammers who are taking advantage of people's sympathy and generosity.

If you are interested in supporting a family whose fundraiser has been through a vetting process and is in danger of being killed in Gaza, please replace your post from friedgardenlady with a post supporting @/nesmamomen. If you have any questions about how to determine the legitimacy of a donation ask, feel free to contact me through DMs or askbox.

Thank you for telling me

SIX YEARS OF RESILIENCE - A CALL FOR GLOBAL SOLIDARITY🏳️‍🌈🌈

When I think of what my fellow LGBTIQ refugees have endured, the memories are overwhelming. We've faced daily persecutions, gunshots, beatings, fire, and unimaginable violence. Yet, through all this, it’s that very hardship that fuels my resilience. It reminds me that we are still here, still fighting, and still surviving.

It has been six long years since I, along with hundreds of other queer refugees, fled our homes to escape persecution. From the refugee camps in Kakuma to our current lives in Gorom, South Sudan, the struggles have remained the same, if not worse. The world may have changed in many ways, but for us, little has improved.

We still face daily attacks and threats. We are still the subjects of violence and hatred, simply for being who we are. There are over 300 of us here, living with no hope, no food, and in spaces so cramped that the concept of personal space has become a distant memory. The world outside seems to forget we exist, while we continue to fight for our right to simply live.

This is a plea, not just from me, but from all of us. We need support, we need help, and we need it urgently. To the global queer community, we are reaching out to you. We need your voices, your resources, your advocacy. We need you to stand with us, to amplify our cries for help, and to let the world know that we are still here, and we are still fighting.

🍉I am Mahmoud Ayyad, a Palestinian from the besieged and destroyed Gaza 😭😭, coming from an extended family of young children, women and elderly people ❤❤ who have been suffering😭😭 for 300 difficult days from an aggressive war.

Our lives are harsh because we lack all the basic necessities of life. Everything has become scarce and unattainable. There is no food, no water, no medicine.😭😭😭

So, I ask you to help me keep my family safe and alive, especially after we had lost all our sources of livelihood. Please do not leave my family to struggle and suffer these difficult days alone. You can support my campaign by donating whatever you can or by sharing my posts to reach others who can help us survive the war to safety and peace. You are helping the lives of many people with your small contribution.Every donation makes a difference in our very difficult lives. But this is a legitimate campaign and has been vetted by 90-ghost.

Our home was destroyed and our dreams were shattered after the beginning of this genocide. My brother was injured and his injury is still very serious. He needs surgery, which is not available at the moment. He lives only on painkillers. In Gaza, famine and medicine shortages have created dangerous unsanitary conditions. I suffer from PTSD due to the difficult living conditions I went through. Please donate so I can buy food and medicine immediately.

HEY WORLD, MY NAME IS CIARA

I am a queer refugee, a human rights activist, and a representative for hundreds of LGBTQ refugees here in the Gorom refugee camp of South Sudan. I’m 26 years old, originally from Uganda, and for nearly six years, I have been living in refugee camps—first in Kakuma, Kenya, and now in Gorom, South Sudan, where I relocated earlier this year.

I fled my homeland due to persecution and narrowly escaped death because of my sexual orientation. Unfortunately, life hasn’t changed much since arriving in Gorom. Alongside over 300 LGBTQ refugees, I continue to face daily persecution, beatings, death threats, and more. Our lives are constantly at risk due to the homophobic and hostile communities around us. South Sudan’s strict laws against LGBTQ individuals only add to the pressure, and the ongoing civil war brings additional challenges that make our situation even more dire.

We were forced to leave Kakuma camp, but the conditions here are no better. We live in a cramped space that is far from adequate. We are starving, with no access to proper medical care or other basic necessities. We are calling out for support and help. Your donations can make a huge difference in our daily survival—helping us secure food, medical care, and better housing.

Currently, we don’t have a GoFundMe campaign, but if anyone is willing to assist us in setting one up, we would be incredibly grateful. In the meantime, here’s how you can help:

1. **PayPal**: lwerephillip@gmail.com

Thank you so much for your support and donations. Anything, no matter how small, can make a difference.
