SIX YEARS OF RESILIENCE - A CALL FOR GLOBAL SOLIDARITY🏳️‍🌈🌈

When I think of what my fellow LGBTIQ refugees have endured, the memories are overwhelming. We've faced daily persecutions, gunshots, beatings, fire, and unimaginable violence. Yet, through all this, it’s that very hardship that fuels my resilience. It reminds me that we are still here, still fighting, and still surviving.

It has been six long years since I, along with hundreds of other queer refugees, fled our homes to escape persecution. From the refugee camps in Kakuma to our current lives in Gorom, South Sudan, the struggles have remained the same, if not worse. The world may have changed in many ways, but for us, little has improved.

We still face daily attacks and threats. We are still the subjects of violence and hatred, simply for being who we are. There are over 300 of us here, living with no hope, no food, and in spaces so cramped that the concept of personal space has become a distant memory. The world outside seems to forget we exist, while we continue to fight for our right to simply live.

This is a plea, not just from me, but from all of us. We need support, we need help, and we need it urgently. To the global queer community, we are reaching out to you. We need your voices, your resources, your advocacy. We need you to stand with us, to amplify our cries for help, and to let the world know that we are still here, and we are still fighting.

Iam citizen Hana Ibrahim Hammad. I am 19 years old. I got a high average in high school of 96. I aspired to reach what I wanted, build my future, and study at my university, which was destroyed, and with it my dreams, ambitions, future, and hopes were destroyed. Also, not to this extent, as my house, which is the only shelter for us, was destroyed, and my father lost his job. The humble place where he worked as a worker in a food factory, through which he supported my family of 8 people, and it is the only source of income for my family. We have nothing left. All aspects of life have been destroyed for us. Now I and my family live in a tent in Mawasi Khan Yunis, between the roads, trees and seas, and we suffer from the heat. Severe infestation of insects and reptiles, and difficulty in obtaining water, food, and potable water. My name is Sami, a father of two daughters. Before the war, we had a happy life in Gaza, with a home and a small business. But the war has torn everything apart 💔. Our home was destroyed, and we have been displaced multiple times, moving from Gaza City to Rafah and now to Deir Al-Balah 🇵🇸, where we live in a small tent with no basic necessities.

Our car was destroyed 🚗💥, leaving us without transportation, and we have no financial resources to sustain us. We are waiting for the Rafah crossing to open so we can escape this deadly war 🕊️, but until then, we need your help.

Help Doaa Jad al-Haq and her family survive genocide!

Doaa is a 38 mother to a young son, Omar, who is nonverbal and autistic and needs special treatment to deal with his intense trauma from the genocide. Doaa says Omar sometimes screams when he remembers the bombs. She does not have the funds to cover his treatment on her own.

Doaa ran a sewing and embroidery business prior to the genocide and is currently raising funds to buy equipment to start it again. The goal for this campaign is only $12000 USD and if she meets it she will have the tools to earn money herself.

Doaa and Omar evacuated Gaza and now live in Egypt, but the entire rest of their family is stuck under siege and constant bombardment. She is incredibly worried about them. Again, she does not have the funds to evacuate them herself so we must help her. Doaa is also worried that her tumblr account will get terminated because she's Palestinian. Under this much stress, I can imagine it is impossible to consistently campaign to raise money.
