In SFH fandom, we have often asked question about this topic; why is Seo Moon Jo a Dentist ? Why teeth ?

This is just my guess, but I think it was intentionally done to pay tribute to the story High Window and to the author Raymond Chandler. Please bear with me …..

From what I’ve seen, Director Lee Chang Hee and Screenwriter Jung Yi Do, both are very intentional in everything they do in storytelling. In the original webtoon, there is no mention of Dentistry and Moon Jo isn’t really there. Yeongsam or 203 is more …. A mix of Yoo Ki Hyuk and Seo Moon Jo( more Ki Hyuk if you ask me) . Seo Moon Jo is a character that was introduced by Screenwriter and was developed by the director for the series. Hence the webtoon and series have lots of similarities, and yet lots of differences. So I wouldn’t be too surprised if they made Seo Moon Jo a Dentist, to pay tribute or to convey a message.

The High Window is a murder mystery that revolves around a missing antique gold coin called The Brasser Dabloon and Dentist and Dentistry techniques to make things play a BIG role in the story. I am so tempted to put some excerpts but that will give away major spoilers about High Window. The fact that not only Moon Jo’s a Dentist but he also makes jewelry through dentistry techniques…. I think that was included as an ode to Chandler’s High Window and also as a vessel to deliver macabre horror in SFH.

Maybe Director and/or screenwriter are big fan of Chandler and they paid tribute to the author by mentioning it at the rooftop scene and through Moon Jo’s profession and passion.

High window is an absolute amazing story and Raymond Chandler is every bit of masterful crime thriller author. I can see why it’s Jung Woo’s favorite

One day, while Kevin and Neil are having a heated argument in French on the court one of the freshmen yells:

"Speak English!"

Annoyed by the intrusion, Kevin and Neil share a look and silently decide on malicious compliance.

Neil, though born in America, was raised by his British mother and would use a British accent whenever they spoke English in Europe to blend in.

Kevin is Irish. Born in Ireland, raised by his Irish mother until her untimely death.

They both switch to their 'mother tongues', speaking English but in thick British and Irish accents.

The team can barely understand them. Reprimands and insults are met with confusion. The freshmen are frantic, trying to figure out how to correct their technique when they can only understand every few words. The upperclassmen can't stop laughing, Matt and Allison are trying to repeat some of the words in mock British and Irish accents.

Andrew is in silent turmoil as he discovers a new turn on with an hour of practice still to go.

AFTG AU where in the "ditch the contacts" scene Neil comes out of his room wearing a battered pair of old eye glasses that are held together with tape in several places.

Upon questioning of "what are those?!" Glasses, so he can see because they told him to leave his contacts out tonight. They're old and broken because they fall off or get hit during Exy or running so he wears contacts instead. Glasses are expensive so he just tapes them up when they break.

Why does he get brown contact lenses? He doesn't like his natural eye color and likes brown better.

Kevin and Aaron refuse to be seen with him in public wearing those.

Regressor! Moon-jo w/ Caregiver! Jong-woo Headcanons

•Moon-jo never planned to tell Jong-woo about his regression. He actually didn’t want Jong-woo to even find out about it. Though, he didn’t have that same mindset when he regressed after work one night.

•When he regressed that night, all he wanted was to be around Jong-woo. His little self was already super attached to him, despite never actually being around him.

•Of course, Jong-woo was extremely confused when he nervously answered his door after hearing knocking for over a minute, only to see Moon-jo holding a worn blanket in his arms and using it to hide half of his face.

•Jong-woo didn’t even get a chance to say anything, before Moon-jo just walked into his room and sat on his bed. Since he had his face hidden, all Jong-woo could see were Moon-jo’s wide eyes staring up at him.

•While Jong-woo did have a suspicion on what exactly was happening, he didn’t understand why Moon-jo came to him. Especially since they barely knew each other.

•Jong-woo tried to talk to Moon-jo and ask him questions, but Moon-jo never spoke to him. He only stared, before eventually smiling at him, while still staying completely silent.

•Moon-jo did end up spending the night in Jong-woo’s room since he didn’t want to leave. Jong-woo wasn’t necessarily a fan of the idea of him staying the night with him, but he wasn’t going to kick him out. He’d kinda feel bad about doing so.

•In the morning, Moon-jo woke up first and wasn’t regressed anymore. He quickly and quietly left the room, not wanting to wake Jong-woo up.

•Later in the day, when he saw Jong-woo, he tried to act as if nothing happened. Though, Jong-woo immediately started questioning him about it, and eventually, Moon-jo admitted to him about his regression.

•It was a long conversation, where at the end of it, Jong-woo did offer to help Moon-jo out, if he ever needed it. In all honesty, Moon-jo could be pretty independent when he’d regress, but since Jong-woo didn’t mind helping him out, he’d always go to him from now on.

•Jong-woo learned very quickly that Moon-jo is extremely quiet when he regresses. At first, he thought maybe he was just shy, but that wasn’t the case. Moon-jo just doesn’t talk or make any noise much at all.

•Another thing Jong-woo noticed super quickly was that Moon-jo stares a lot. He’ll just stare at him for a while for no reason really. He doesn’t need or want anything, but he’ll only silently stare at Jong-woo for as long as he wants.

•Moon-jo is very clingy. He never lets Jong-woo have any sort of alone time and follows him everywhere. He’ll also just cling to his arm or hold his hand a lot.

•Jong-woo doesn’t have a hard time caring for Moon-jo since the man is really calm and relaxed. He mostly just cuddles with Jong-woo and sleeps, that’s really it.

•He does play sometimes. Moon-jo likes throwing his tennis ball at the wall and catching it. Every time he misses it and it’s out of arms reach, he will stare at Jong-woo until he gets it for him, despite being perfectly capable of doing it himself.

•There is a very obvious height difference between the two of them, Moon-jo towers over Jong-woo. So, whenever Jong-woo is standing in one place, whether it’s because he’s doing something like the dishes or cooking dinner, Moon-jo likes to lay his head on top of Jong-woo head while hugging him.

•Moon-jo almost always has his fingers in his mouth, which Jong-woo knows isn’t sanitary, so he tried to suggest that maybe he’d use a pacifier instead. Moon-jo had no interest in it at first, but he eventually came around to the idea. He doesn’t use it much, he still prefers using his fingers. He’ll mainly use his pacifier when he sleeps though.

•On some occasions, Moon-jo likes drawing pictures but only because he wants to give them to Jong-woo. They’re always really weird pictures that Jong-woo can’t tell what’s happening in them, but he still thanks Moon-jo for them and tells him how much he loves the drawings.

•Jong-woo plays with Moon-jo’s hair a lot of the time when they’re cuddling and Moon-jo absolutely loves it. When Jong-woo stops, Moon-jo just pouts and sometimes even whines at him until he starts doing it again.

•Moon-jo never lets Jong-woo have personal space. He doesn’t really understand the concept much, so he’ll just climb in his lap and cuddle with him for as long as he wants. He also likes to poke his face, really for no reason other than he thinks it’s funny.

I LOVE YOU TO DEATH (OF OTHER PEOPLE) - AKA STRANGERS FROM HELL

I was binge-watching this and accidentally fell asleep around 2 AM (so not because it’s boring - literally the opposite, this show is a full-on mindfuck), and DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON MY NIGHTMARES. Jesus. I woke up drenched in sweat, almost screaming.

This show is the most unsettling thing I’ve ever watched. It possesses you. It crawls under your skin and just stays there. It’s not even about violence or traditional horror - It’s just… deeply, existentially disturbing.

The only time I’ve ever felt like this before was when I read House of Leaves. That same disorienting, reality-warping dread. GOD.

It had only 10 episodes to prove itself and I don’t know what it proved but it definitely managed something - it messed with my brain chemistry IDK?

And it’s not just psychological horror - it’s violently physical. Brutal in a way that never feels sensationalized. The gore hits hard, but it’s the emotional disintegration that really destroys you. AND it must be said - as it has been MILLIONS OF TIMES - the homoerotic tension between Yim Siwan and Lee Dong Wook is OFF THE CHARTS. The prolonged eye contact, the breathing down each other’s necks, the soft voices and tight spaces… it’s China-BL levels of censorship trying to cover something deeply unholy.

So yes: it’s gay (but not). It’s violent. It’s deranged. It’s brilliant. I will never be normal again.
