I don’t care about what you’re recovering from, how you’re doing it, the time it takes you to do it, or the people you surround yourself with in this process. Don’t let others shame you into thinking your recovery is somehow lesser or not worth it. Don’t let others shame you for being in recovery in the first place. Healing is so fucking hard and the people who are belittling you and your story simply don’t understand your struggle. Forget them. Focus on you. You’ve got this.
