I finally watched The Sound of Music and like I get it now, I get it.
It’s a beautiful two hour love story of a strict man finally opening his heart again and then a fifty minute public service announcement to hate the nazis. Brilliant.
Cowboy Carter is a mix of country, funk, soul, blues, and gospel. Hell even folk. Beyoncé is a student of music. She is a master of her craft. This album was an EXPERIENCE. This album was a SPIRITUAL JOURNEY.
This ain’t a country album. This is a BEYONCÉ album.
I’m ace, aro and tired
Reblog if you are also LGBT+ and tired
Taylor's dad saying Dakota said he only met her three times and then pointing the finger at Taylor saying "he had sex with you. What does that say about you?". How, as a father, can you honestly come out and say that to your own daughter. Yes she may have been wrong, in your opinion, for sleeping with him even though they hadn't known each other for very long. But she is not the one to blame.
Dakota had been lying to her. He continued to lie throughout their relationship. And the moment Dakota realises that Mayci had contacted Jenna to clear the air, he then confesses to Taylor. That's a childish fucking move. It's not Taylor's fault at all just because she slept with him.
Dakota is also religious. Why is Taylor's dad pointing at her, saying "What does that say about you?" when both of them were involved? In this situation it was consensual between both of them, yet somehow you want to single out Taylor? Why not focus on the guy who was going back and forth between two women, lying to them, and continued to lie, until he realised he was trapped with no lie to save him.
Then when Taylor's brother started chiming in? Oh that annoyed me so much. Taylor is clearly upset and needs support. But somehow everyone seems to be defending Dakota. I'm sorry, did I miss something? No way in hell would I defend Dakota. Maybe he does change in the future, but at that point in time, I would not want to see his face and I would choose to support Taylor who is so clearly struggling.
