I am Momen Al Madhoun, 35 years old, a graphic design from gaza, my wife Nour Al Madhoun 30 years old, a computer engineer, We are two self-made people united by a love of work, ambition, and self-development. We used to work remotely in programming and design. We had a cozy home that we built hand by hand, stone by stone.
Ezzdeen my big son was 7 when the war started now he is 8 years old and suffering from huge weight loss because he is very picky in his food, we try to buy him the food he accept but it is hard in our situations, Ameer my little son was 5 and now he is 6, he supposed to be at his first year at school now but what he forced to live is very diffirent!
Today after a whole year of displacement and the harsh suffering we are still living in this genocide in Gaza.
After our many attempts to survive, we actually survived, but it was only the survival of the body, the soul and the psychological health for me, my husband and my two children did not survive! Even the body survived apparently, but it is very weak due to the famine and the suffering in obtaining food and drink.
As the conflict escalates, our access to food, clean water, and basic necessities has dwindled. Everyday here is like a battle, not just with death surrounding us everywhere, but against huner and despair.
Today, after more than a year of living under the genocide, losing everything in our lives. More than a year of patience on famine and suffering and trying to overcome difficulties to survive, A whole year full of WHERE DO WE GO? what is our fault? what is our kids fault?
We are exhausted and need your help, I came to you today after all this patience with a heavy heart, asking for help! My family needs your help to survive

i wanted to include lava but i feel like its just fucking distracting. the colors. do not match.
i've had so many conversations with people in fandom/creators' circles who are genuinely afraid to make the stories or art they want because they fear (often with good reason!) that their friends might kick them out of their circles, or worse, launch a public harassment campaign against them.
as someone recovering from this fear-based mindset, i want to affirm:
- friends who use implicit or explicit threats to maintain social control are not your friends
- communities that monitor your social media and ao3 to surveil you for perceived transgressive content are not safe communities
- the vast majority of people are NOT going to hate you if you make the art you want
- if you find yourself in a friend group that makes you feel afraid to speak your mind, it's in your interest to disentangle yourself from that group as quickly as possible
- real, honest disagreements between friends can be solved respectfully without the use of public shaming
- if you're feeling afraid in a community, it's likely that others are feeling afraid too. support your friends who may be struggling to leave an abusive fan or creative community, and let them know you're a safe person to voice doubts and disagreement to.
- if you're feeling like you'll never find a safer community of people, i promise there are others who feel that way too. it may take some time, but you'll find people who treat you and your ideas with respect. a good place to start is the people who make the type of art that you admire but that you're too afraid to make yourself.

Imagine how good the Elder Scrolls could be if the writers stopped throwing darts at the Daedric Princes whenever they needed a new villain of the week, or at least remembered that the fundmental distinction between the Daedra and their counterparts is that the Daedra chose not to give of themselves to make Mundus and that as much as they are fascinated by mortals they are, being inextricably tied to their nature, fundamentally alien to mortality.
I personally find them more satisfying as being dangerous because they act in accordance with their sphere without reservation rather than just being slightly reskinned Evil Demon Gods.
Like you kiiiiiind of get that with Hircine but explain to me why the servants of the goddess of night and darkness and luck, for example, are universally malicious and cruel and tormented just because? By all means let them be dangerous and scary but the cartoonish evil-for-its-own-sake is so much more boring than the alternative idea of "The royalty of Oblivion is capricious and considers mortals fun to watch or fuck around with or occasionally use as tools/pawns/champions while they're all busy playing 16 way, 5 dimensional chess with each other for some purpose we do not and likely cannot understand."

The sound of the ocean crashing against the large, slate-grey boulders that lined the coast grounded me as I searched the swamps around Gnaar Mok. I was looking for the mouth of what I knew to be a vast network of sea caves. I had arrived in the small fishing village around early evening, having left Ald’ruhn as early as I could that morning. Though that wasn’t saying much since I typically didn’t wake until it was almost noon. Habits die hard, I guess. I knew the trek through the wilderness wasn’t gonna be easy, but I guess I had other things on my mind last night. Mostly a long conversation with a young Velothi fellow that I’d become fast friends with through all this bullshit with the Blades. It was why I was out here in this gods forsaken swamp after all! Almost as soon as I arrived back in Balmora from the Northern Ashwastes, I was instructed to head back out that way again. I was meant to quiz a Legionary Scout on what happened to one of their patrols out in the swamps near Gnaar Mok. Old Cosades seemed to think the bastards stumbled on a Sixth House base and it sounded like it had more than Sleepers and Ash Slaves crawling about. So, naturally, as the Emperor’s little pet project, I was ordered to go investigate. That’s what the Nerevarine’s meant to do, I guess.

Rararyn Radarys encounters stray nix hounds along Balmora's eastern quay. The creatures must've swam up the canal to wander into Balmora's back alleys while pursuing cave rats (mind you Balmoran rats are verily the fattest on all Vvardenfell).
