"honey... more..."
I’ve read this to many damn times. Y’all I’m a mother! No drama!!!
In which (Y/n) is visiting NRC to visit her boys, whom she helped raise alongside Lilia. She hasn't seen her family in years, but she's ecstatic to do so now.
As the four Diasomnia students excitedly wait for her arrival, Lilia tells his boys tales of how he met their mother.
Request by anon.
"Mom is coming over, old man."
Lilia immediately perked up at the mentioning of his significant other he and his boys hadn't seen ever since entering NRC a few years ago. A few squeals escaped his lips as he skipped over to the second-year and immediately tugged at his arm playfully, his feet impatiently tapping against the floor.
"Really?!" Lilia cried out happily, much to Silver's amusement. A smile appeared on the boy's face as he peered down at his father, who did his best to calm down from his excitement again. Coughing into his fist playfully, Lilia grinned cheekily. "I mean— of course! I knew she would come to see us!"
Malleus and Sebek looked surprised at Silver's announcement, too.
"Really? (Y/n) is coming?" Malleus asked, ecstatic as well. It had been so long ever since he had seen the woman who had raised him alongside Lilia, the one who had laughed at Lilia when his bangs got burnt and the one who always comforted Malleus on his lonely birthdays. The smile that appeared on his face was large and bright, so much that it temporarily stunned Sebek.
"Yes," Silver confirmed, smiling, "she said she wanted to attend your birthday, Malleus."
Surprised gasps escaped Malleus throat, and he immediately gained an aura comparable to an innocently excited child. Clasping his hands together, he repeated, "She... She would do that?" Silver nodded, causing the dragon fae to almost faint from happiness. Yet, there was something that held him back from doing so. "I thought she was busy rebuilding after the war?"
Silver shrugged, not possessing an answer to their steady stream of questions since you had barely told him anything aside from the fact that you would arrive sometime today. "She mentioned something of an exception," he explained, satisfying Malleus' curiosity enough for now.
Sebek threw his hands into the air, a big grin on his lips. "This will be a splendid opportunity to spar with (Y/n)!" he exclaimed with a determined expression decorating his face. "I'm sure I can beat her this time around!"
Silver's lips contorted into an amused smile. "Sure... Sure..." he muttered, yawning his soul out. "Keep on telling yourself that, Sebek."
"Hush, Silver. Don't be so mean to Sebek!" Lilia chided playfully, albeit with a mischievous glint in his red eyes. Turning to Sebek, he floated up and put a hand onto his shoulder. "Of course you can easily defeat an esteemed and infamous general of the Valley of Thorns, my boy!"
Sebek huffed and puffed. "You're all mean..."
Malleus quickly nudged a sulking Sebek aside, so that he could face Lilia. "Can you tell us some fun stories about her?" he asked, a fond shimmer in his eyes.
"Of course I can tell you stories about how I met your mother!" Lilia replied immediately, as cheerful and energetic as ever. He quickly led them over to the couch in the common room and sat them all around him, so that they surrounded him in a lose circle — Silver napping away on his left, Malleus intently listening on his right, and Sebek sharpening his sword in front of him on the floor.
Silver tried to keep his heavy eyelids open, not wanting to miss such an interesting conversation. His mother had always been very mysterious, even more so than his father — so he could never get enough of Lilia's tales about you. Yawning, he started off with, "How did you meet exactly?"
A fond smile immediately appeared on the bat fae's lips. Planting his chin in his palms, he breathed out audibly. "We were in the army together," he muttered, a nostalgic glimmer in his glowing eyes. "We had our beginnings as recruits together and actually served together for a long while. Eventually, we went our own ways... but we did meet each other again when the queen called her inner circle together for advice a long time ago."
"You're so different from Mom," Silver commented, curious like a child. "Did your personalities never clash?"
Soft chuckles escaped Lilia's lips, and he immediately nodded upon registering his adoptive son's question. "Well, she's always been softer around children." His eyes turned to the three boys he, some more than others, had helped raise and shape into the people they were today; pride filled his chest, and he wished you could see them, too. "All three of you included, even Sebek."
"Hey!" Sebek protested while narrowing his eyes and finally setting aside his baton to pay full attention to Lilia's tailes. "Singling me out like that!"
Lilia laughed at the knight's reaction before he returned ro the topic at hand again. He turned to the boy on his left, quickly extending a hand to ruffle his ragged hair. Silver let out an irritated gasp, having been on the brink of falling asleep. "She really really adored Silver," Lilia exclaimed, smiling when Silver immediately brightened up in happiness. Yet, Lilia quickly turned his attention to the other two again. "Not that we ever had any favourites, though!"
Malleus' bottom lip quivered as he whispered, "I thought I was her favourite..."
"L-Let's continue!" Lillia quickly cut in while having an arm slung around Malleus' shoulder, a sheepish smile on the bat fae's lips. With the other hand, he tapped his finger against his chin, deep in thought about what to tell his boys next. "So, she's quite infamous for being very strict, demanding, and hard to approach."
"So the exact opposite of you," Sebek remarked, humming.
"Exactly!" Lilia chimed, giggling at memories of you chiding him for always being so carefree and careless. You never seemed to understand that there was another approach to enduring millennia of loss and pain; Lilia and you were just on the other end of the spectrum. Lilia sighed, a smile on his lips. "We've always been a strange pair of two faes. She always acts like she hates me, but you all know how that isn't true~"
Malleus nodded, laughing softly upon remembering all the times he had seen you bicker and even seriously fight sometimes; but in the end, you and Lilia always stuck together like a perfect team. "Now that you say it..." he trailed off, chuckling when Lilia punched his shoulder.
Speaking of Malleus, a particular tale immediately appeared in Lilia's mind. "We really bonded over raising Malleus," he explained while laughing happily. "She immediately volunteered when the queen went through her inner circle to search for a guardian for her grandchild. (Y/n) has always loved children despite her stern nature."
Sebek pursed his lips, teasingly asking, "And you just barged in and demanded to take care of the young master together?"
"Exactly!" Lilia chirped while his chest rumbled with all the laughter that spewed from his lips. Clasping his hands together, a long sigh escaped his lips. "I said that Malleus needed a father, too. So that's how I met your mother!"
Silver rubbed his eyes and sighed. "I wonder if she's alright... I miss her, truth be told..."
"Yes," Malleus agreed, nodding with dim eyes, "it's been years since I last saw her."
"It's been years since I last could ask her for training advice!" Sebek chimed in.
Silence overtook the common room that was completely empty aside from the four students, and they all used it to just sit there and think of memories of and with you. Lilia especially had a melancholic expression on his face, quite rare for an energetic being as him.
Yet, their sulking was interrupted when they noticed someone coming through the mirror nearby. At first, they didn't mind the new arrival, thinking it was just a student coming from campus grounds — but when someone suddenly appeared in the door frame and remained there, they looked up to find a fellow fae standing there.
"I'm here now," you said, a rare smile on your lips. "Did my boys miss me?"
"(Y/n)!" they all yelled out at the same time, all of them jumping up and storming towards you like they hadn't seen you in a lifetime. You were immediately swarmed, four pairs of arms wrapping around your smaller form.
A little chuckle escaped your lips when they finally pulled away from you again. "I apologise," you said curtly and bowed slightly. "I got lost, and a kind human with a vicious kitten helped me out."
Silver's bottom lip was quivering as he jumped at you again, his arms wrapped around you so tightly as if he was afraid you would leave them for years again. "Mom, I missed you..." he whispered, and you only silently patted his back, a smile forming on your stoic lips, as well.
"Aw, my precious Silver..." you cooed, that cold facade immediately breaking down. Without hesitating, you wrapped your arms around the teen; he had grown so tall over the years you hadn't seen him. "Come here! Say, has your sleepiness been getting better?"
When he retreated again, you were still fussing all over him. "No... not at all..." he replied quietly, his cheeks red when you straightened his slightly wrinkled uniform — it was wrinkled because he had fallen asleep in it this noon. This motherly and warm side of you was only reserved for your boys — no one else ever got to see you like this.
"Don't worry," you muttered warmly. "I picked up some herbs that some merchants gave me on my way here. I'll mix you up some herbal tea, alright?" Silver immediately nodded, quite eager to take you up on your offer.
"Thank the Great Seven that you're here to cook for us," Malleus mused as you went up to him and forced him to bent down down to press a little kiss to his forehead — like you had done when he was younger. He watched you with relieved eyes. "I've been missing your food."
You immediately stopped with giving Sebek a hard pat on the shoulder upon hearing Malleus' words.
"Has Lilia not been feeding you properly?" you asked while narrowing your eyes at your significant other.
Lilia looked confused, and he merely exclaimed, "They love my food!"
"Sure..." you muttered, suspicious with how dreadful your boys' eyes looked. So, letting them lead you to the Diasomnia kitchen, you decided that you'd cook as much as you could during your stay. You turned around to face an innocently grinning Lilia, and you merely clicked your tongue with a little grin on your lips, as well. "I don't know how you three survived the last years, really."

Genshin Impact x F!Reader | Modernish AU | warning: it’s cute!
“I hope you don’t mind, we gave you a student teacher as well. It’s only fair since you were given the most troublesome class,” Headmistress Ping smiled at you warmly.
“Ah,” You nodded, “Thats fine.”
The elder woman patted your back, “Genshin Academy is truly lucky to have you. Your track record is impressive and you have an extremely rare vision. I think you’ll get along fairly well with Mr. Aether, he’s a good kid.”
You smiled at her, honored by her words. Genshin Academy, the elite and prestigious school, had taken you as a teacher. The education system was impressive and diverse, teaching elementary to college aged students. You were given the first year elementary school students and now a student teacher as well. No matter how troublesome the class may be, having assistance would be appreciated. If it didn’t, the extraordinary pay would make up for any issues you had.
The older woman walked you to the doors of the building and then left you to prepare yourself. Clutching your class roster, you stepped in and made your way to your classroom. When you entered your room, you were greeted by a young blonde man. He introduced himself as your assistant teacher and made some small talk before leaving you to prepare for the day. You appreciated his thoughtfulness as you tidied the room up a bit, smiling at your class pet, Dvalin.
Soon enough, the children poured in and greeted each other and you. Aether returned to the room, beaming at each child. You took attendance, ticking off each name as they all answered. Qiqi, Teucer, Klee, and Diona seemed to be the most lively of them all. They were also marked with asterisks as the worst “troublemakers” but so far things were running smoothly.
“Welcome, my name is Miss Bright,” You beamed at the children, “Let’s have a good year, okay?”
“Wow, you’re very pretty Miss Bright!” An energetic Teucer exclaimed.
Klee squealed, “I’m so excited!”
Diona scoffed and Qiqi nodded in agreement. You went through the motions, following your detailed curriculum perfectly. There were two separate general subjects, academics and control. One was simple enough, teaching the kids by the book. The other was all about assisting your students in controlling and growing their abilities as vision users.
By the end of the day you were exhausted. Soon enough the week flew by. As Friday came, you were exhausted. Most people had made these kids out to be terrible and mischievous, and in some ways they were. Yet, you had already grown very fond of all of them. They were much more tame than you had expected, save for some explosions and outbursts. Now you were stuck as some of the children were late being picked up.
“I hope my big brother gets a girlfriend like Miss Bright. She’s so nice and pretty.” You overheard Teucer whisper to the last three kids.
“Oh yeah!” Klee’s whispers weren’t whispers at all, “She’s like a princess. My brother is a prince. I wish he’d marry Miss Bright.”
“Tch,” Diona intervened, “Honestly, I wish Miss Bright had adopted me instead of that annoying man at home.”
“Qiqi thinks Xiao and Zhongli would like Miss Bright a lot.”
You giggled at their words, they were too sweet. Aether chuckled overhearing them as well and waving you off.
“Go finish up your paperwork, I’ll take care of them.” The cheerful blonde nearly pushed you out the door.
You sighed and made your way to the office up front. Paperwork was such a drag, not nearly as fun as over hearing those brats gossiping. The paperwork ended up taking up the rest of your time. By the time you were done you wanted to scream. As you left the office, a handful of coworkers approached you and invited you out. No was not an option as they insisted you let them treat you.
You were exhausted as they led you to their favorite bar. Aether followed like a lost puppy and you sighed.
“You can’t drink can you?” You questioned him.
“Ahhh,” Aether started but was interrupted.
“It’s fine! I know the owner. He doesn’t have to drink he can just babysit us.” Venti exclaimed.
Poor Aether couldn’t get out of it either. Once you entered the bar, things blurred. Immediately, your coworkers bought you many drinks. Venti was especially aggressive about drinking. The short music teacher was babbling to an extremely handsome bartender with vibrant red hair.
The scarlet haired man seemed to be a bit annoyed by the drunken chaos ensuing. Amber was giggling crazily and the school nurse, Baizhu had cornered a tall man with amber eyes, and Ganyu was petting you. Aether was awkwardly fidgeting, stone cold sober. Eventually, your poor student teacher ended up having to call a cab and carry you home. He was forced to try and navigate to your cozy apartment by unlocking your phone with your drunken face. It took way too many attempts.
You awoke the next day with a pounding headache and over a hundred notifications. The night was still a blur so you proceeded to try and take care of yourself. Aether was kind enough to go out and buy you some pain medicine and left it on your counter with your keys. It was embarrassing how you couldn’t find any memories of your adventures in liquor.
The weekend flew by until Sunday night came and your phone buzzed. You looked down and horror filled your body. Tomorrow was parent conferences. It wasn’t mandatory for parents but encouraged. Suddenly, you were tearing through your apartment trying to prepare for the upcoming doom.
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Before you knew it, parent conferences were upon you. Aether wasn’t attending because it wasn’t mandatory and you insisted he go home and rest. He had done so much for you already, you didn’t want him to suffer through it with you. You looked up as somebody knocked on your class door and opened it to see two beautiful blondes.
“Hello, is this Miss Bright’s room?” The woman’s blue eyes met yours.
“Yes,” You held your hand out, “Hello, I’m Miss Bright.”
The woman shook your hand, “I am Jean, Klee’s guardian. This is her older brother Albedo.”
The young man’s beautiful eyes bore into you as he shook your hand. You stepped aside and gestured to the tables in your room. The two took their seats and almost immediately a tall red haired man sauntered up to you.
“Hello!” His tone was cheerful, “I’m Childe, Teucer’s older brother!”
“A pleasure to meet you, Childe. I am Miss Bright.”
“Ah,” a crooked smile formed on his lips, “The pleasure is all mine. You are just as beautiful as Teucer claimed.”
You blushed and laughed nervously, but before you could answer he was shoved into your room. He turned to glare at the two dark haired men in the doorway. Huffing, he found his way to a table and sat.
“So annoying.” The shorter of the two men scowled.
The taller one sighed, “Hello, Miss Bright. My name is Zhongli, and this is my cousin Xiao. We are Qiqi’s foster family.”
Xiao stomped past you, Zhongli followed him quickly. You didn’t have time to introduce yourself to either of them before they sat down.
“How rude,” A smooth voice came from your door.
Two men stood there, a tan man with dark hair and a very familiar red head. Internally, you groaned at the sight of the bartender. It was going to be a long conference wasn’t it? You were glad you had organized your agenda so well.
“Diluc. Guardian of Diona, and this is my brother Kaeya.” The redhead said almost sternly.
He strolled through the doorway to sit at a table, all four families spread out. Kaeya winked at you and followed his brother. Now you were sure the night would be long.
No other families came, and you were left alone with the strange bunch. In the back of your mind, you were thinking of your roster and the asterisks. The irony in all of it was that the troublemaker’s parents were the only ones who showed. The room was quiet, families only talking among themselves. You cleared your throat and introduced yourself once more, starting in to your very planned speech.
A short time had passed but it felt like years to you. You felt incredibly awkward but continued on. Childe raised his hand which nearly made you laugh but you contained your amusement and paused.
“Yes?” You called out to him.
The lanky man smirked, “I’m sorry but what sort of vision do you use?”
“I will address that later on.” Your voice was kind but also stern.
This response earned several looks from the families listening. All of a sudden, their full attention was on you. The change of atmosphere had put you on edge. You tried to continue on but Childe stood abruptly.
“That’s an interesting response.” He chuckled.
“Tartaglia!” Jean intervened, “Thats enough.”
Kaeya kicked his feet up on the table, “You can’t say you’re not curious though, right? It’s only natural we want to know. This school has just as much focus on vision skills as academic skills.”
You were beginning to grow irritated. The children were more respectful than the adults. Composing yourself, you sighed. Nobody denied Kaeya’s words, although Zhongli and Jean seemed to disapprove of the attitude.
“As i said before i will-“ you were interrupted again by an arrow of water, you easily side stepped it.
Jean stood, sword in hand and glared at Childe. Diluc shoved his brother’s feet off the table and scowled. Albedo yawned while Xiao clicked his tongue. Zhongli merely observed the scene. Childe cackled at Jean which only angered her more as she dove at him.
You opened your mouth to say something but were forced to dodge a cold sword. Kaeya grinned at you but was yanked back by Zhongli. The room was in utter chaos. You gritted your teeth and once more tried to remain calm. Another arrow narrowly missed your ear and you felt yourself become enraged. Kaeya dodged Zhongli and thrust his sword at you but was stopped by a sharp pillar of light.
“That’s enough.” Your voice was cold as you used your own weapon to shove the pushy cryo wielder away from you.
As if by magic, suddenly everyone stopped to stare at you. Quickly, they sat down. Albedo’s eyes were alert now, he was suddenly interested in every word you had to say. Even Xiao seemed to have a better attitude.
You continued your speech without any further interruptions. Finally, the end was in sight.
“And to answer your earlier question,” You pushed your hair back behind your ear to reveal your vision on an earring, “I am a light wielder. I will not take any questions on it. Have a wonderful night and thank you for coming.”
You turned and exited your classroom quickly as murmurs spread across the room. Light visions were only gifted to those who were recognized by multiple gods. Light was a strange element that could mold itself and change to take shape of different elements, although it wasn’t perfect. Elemental mastery took a lot of time and the light could only bend to your will for short periods of time. Using light as anything other than itself could backfire easily. Ontop of the many complications, attaining a light vision meant going through a crisis so terrible that multiple gods had to intervene. It was a blessing and a curse.
As you headed home, shivers ran down your back. You couldn’t help but feel that you were being watched or followed. You shook it off and returned home. It was just paranoid thoughts after a rough night.
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
After the conference, you seemed to be plagued by the families. Outside of work you ran into them constantly. It was nerve wracking.
“Miss Bright, Teucer loves you so much. He’d love to see you on the weekend. We could get lunch and then have a play date with him. What do ya say?” Childe grinned at you as you exited your classroom.
“Sorry, sir” An arm slid around your shoulders, “But i’m afraid she has plans for this weekend.”
You looked up to see the school librarian with a tight smile. Lisa was so kind, saving you from his shameless flirting. Although, she often seemed to flirt with you as well. You couldn’t really tell if she was being nice or flirting though.
He scowled and turned. Lisa laughed and squeezed you tighter. She escorted you out of the building, telling you about the new books the library had just received. Her eyes twinkled as you laughed at her puns and asked her questions about being a librarian.
“Excuse me,” A deep voice said “May I have a moment of Miss Bright’s time?”
You turned to see Zhongli, one of the only reasonable guardians you’d met. So far you’d not seen him after the meeting so you felt safer around him. Even Jean had appeared before you several times, though it didn’t seem intentional. You weren’t entirely sure but you’d swore you’d even seen Xiao lurking around when you were out.
“Of course,” You waved Lisa off.
She frowned and kissed your cheek before sauntering off. Zhongli raised his eyebrows as you laughed, clearly embarrassed. The nerve of that woman sometimes.
“Sorry, she’s a friend but she’s very affectionate,” you apologized quickly.
“Hm,” Zhongli nodded and stared at you intently, “I’m sorry to bother you but is there a way I could schedule another meeting with you? I would like to hear about Qiqi’s progress.”
Your heart nearly melted. He was so kind and it was refreshing.
“Of course! How about this weekend?” You beamed at him.
The two of you scheduled a conference lunch and parted ways. From afar, Diluc grimaced. He was curious about Diona’s behavior in school. She was a very moody child. Furthermore, he was curious about you. Kaeya had also pestered you for a date so the scarlet haired man was trying to find the right time to ask you. He didn’t want to come off the way he was sure Kaeya did.
“I would also like to attend the meeting.” Xiao announced to Zhongli once he got into the car.
“Too bad,” Zhongli chuckled “It’s one on one, you’ll have to schedule your own.”
Xiao huffed at his words. He disliked the idea of the two of you doing anything one on one. He couldn’t decide whether he was jealous of you or Zhongli. He decided it was you, since both Qiqi and Zhongli seemed to be infatuated with you. He clicked his tongue, Zhongli merely smiled, and Qiqi demanded coco goat milk.
“Does she like science?” Albedo questioned Klee.
“Miss Bright likes a lot of things I think.” Klee said, ice cream smeared on her face.
“I want to know more.” Albedo stated.
Klee grinned, “More ice cream?”
Albedo nodded, only hoping Jean wouldn’t catch them.
This new job had many opportunities open up for you. With so many people in pursuit of you, who would you choose?

Diasomnia Dorm | Lilia Vanrouge
summary: when told to shoot down the traitor in their team, he always knew that it would be you. however, he didn't think that it'd be so difficult.
trigger warning(s): angst, war, mentions of blood, death
authors note: i know you i walked with you once upon a dream
Lilia held the gun in his hand, slightly raising a brow before letting out a sigh, approaching one of his dearest friends. A smile appeared on his face, sitting next to them on the dirt.
"[y/n], are you dozing off?" He asked, tittering as their eyes shot open and they instinctively reached for the weapon nearest to them. "Haha, calm yourself, it's only me."
They staggered in their words, "O-Oh... my apologies, Lilia. I thought you were someone else." They said, piquing his curiosity. "I've been awfully paranoid for the past few days, haven't I?"
"Hm. Quite." He adjusted himself, staring straight ahead. "Have you been experiencing any nightmarish infestations in your daze?" He questioned, earning a nod.
"I couldn't get proper sleep once the dark comes. And once daylight appears, I wish to pass out, yet I can't..."
His eyes glanced in their direction, "Well, come here, then."
And then they looked back at him, "Pardon?"
"A comrade so dear to me unable to taste the sweetness of sleep? Even I require such. So, come. You can sleep against me for as long as you'd like." He smiled so cunningly yet looked genuinely sweet, "I can sing you a lullaby if that's what you wish."
Their brows rose and a pout formed on their lips, "Do you view me as a child? What nonsense." They crossed their arms, aggressively laying their head on his lap. "Very well, considering you offered, I shall sleep for as long as I please."
He chuckled, his hand gently patting their head.
"... don't complain if your leg cramps."
"I wouldn't dream of telling you."
For the first time in a while, [y/n] managed to feel the satisfying essence of sleep and dreams. And in their dream, they imagined a life where they wouldn't know what a gun is or the thought of killing their comrades. For a bit, they're at peace.
As a few more weeks passed, the soldiers would hear the news of an infiltrator living amongst them. Such thorough search leads to little to no sources, but the higher-ups know it's one of them.
Lilia's presence was requested by the lord of the Valley of Thorns, who had also known about the traitor. As he was a remarkable soldier and was trusted by many, the lord instructed him to track down the traitor and assassinate them at once.
Bestowed upon him was a specialized gun that contained two bullets. With his strong eyesight, he was only given two. If he's unable to shoot them dead the first try, he can surely finish them off with the second one.
He obliged with the lord's wishes, leaving his presence with him eyeing the gun in his hands. The actions he performed felt unknowingly nostalgic, but he paid no mind to it.
His hearing allowed him to find the culprit, and though he wasn't surprised, he did feel some sort of pit drop in his stomach. But, once more, he paid no mind to such.
As he got outside, he looked over his shoulder to see [y/n] sneaking up behind him, causing them to flinch at his sudden motions.
"Ah! Lilia!" They huffed.
"Hehe, did I startle you?"
"As always... honestly, your instincts are just... crazy, but in a good sense." Their shoulders sink as a dramatically defeated expression loomed their face.
He approached them, slinging an arm around their shoulders, "Either way, I'd take 'crazy' as a compliment. I very much appreciate you, [y/n]." He grinned.
"And I to you, Lilia."
The smile on his face slightly faltered but he maintained the grin, ushering [y/n] to a secluded place as he was quick to notice the two neatly wrapped boxes in their hands. As he did so, they casually gave him his box that had a lovely silk wrapping it. Grateful as he was, he took it, thanking them for the extra food they made.
"I'm pretty sure I'm a better cook than you, anyway, so this is my treat." They snickered, "Don't you enjoy my cooking?"
He looked at them, "Of course I do. Now, come, let's enjoy this together before we get caught."
"Alright, Lilia."
How sudden the turn of events has led to. A nice and calm conversation resulted in Lilia holding the gun against [y/n]'s temple, though he continued to smile, his eyes were as cold as the winter breeze kissing one's skin.
"I know you're the infiltrator, [y/n]." He whispered, taking a bite out of the food they made.
They side-eyed him; one expects to have a shaken breath and hitched form, but all they were was calm. The expression on their face remained unfazed as though they continued the conversation they shared just earlier.
"You're so admiring, Lilia." They whispered.
Confused yet curious, he asked, "Are you buttering me up to escape your demise?"
Their head turned, the gun now pointing at their forehead. "Can't I express my admiration for you? Why must I escape such inevitable consequences when I'm fully aware that I'll end up just like that in the end?"
"Our lord assigned me the duty to assassinate you. But, if I may ask, why are you so relaxed at the brink of death?" His eyes glinted as he cocked the gun with his thumb, index ready to pull the trigger at any moment.
"I predict in the future that we will meet once again, so why should I fear?" They moved closer, hand pressed against the ground, which caused him to slightly back up. "Besides, being killed by a true friend of mine is something I adored dreaming of."
Their food was long forgotten on the ground as they gradually crawled up to him, such dazed fondness glistened behind their gleeful eyes.
"What are you doing?" He whispered.
"Something I've dreamed of."
Their lips pressed against his and their eyes closed, a vision of them when they were much younger, dancing together carelessly under the rain as the moon caressed the droplets that rolled down their skin ever-so.
For they knew that the promise he mumbled under his breath can never be fulfilled. That one day, they could marry one another and raise children to become as mighty as he was.
A dream he never thought they walked through in their head as he pulled the trigger. He held their limping body as it now laid against his chest. The food they created was stained with the blood that splattered through the hole in their head.
Tears drowned his eyes while a soft hue of red cascaded his face, flustered by what they sealed.
Oh.
Oh.
Lilia let out a laugh as he had startled the freshmen that were talking about him. He appeared in between Ace and the Prefect, and he was quite curious of them.
A human with no magic? Now that's interesting.
His eyes locked with theirs, and the mischievous smile on his face disappeared.
They stared back at him, slightly uncomfortable with his staring. "What? Is there something on my face?" They asked, fingers nearing their cheek.
The smile traced back and he let out a hum.
"Nothing... I just knew you, once upon a time."
