Leo’s From NOLA So He’s Probably So Used To Extreme Heat That He’s Chronically Freezing Cold In

Leo’s from NOLA so he’s probably so used to extreme heat that he’s chronically freezing cold in the fall/winter 😭

As a northern girl myself, I would never survive in the NOLA heat. To each their own, I guess.

Enjoy our lovernut being a very adorable icicle! All credits to @lumosinlove !!

“Absolutely not.”

“Leo,” Logan laughed. He was holding up a pair of snowshoes with a grin. “Allez.”

“No, no, no way, have you seen the thermometer?” Leo exclaimed. He picked it up from its place on Logan’s parents’ counter. “Negative twelve Celsius. That’s, like, 10 degrees!” He shivered as if to demonstrate. “I will be an icicle.”

“A very cute icicle,” Finn said, straightening from where he was tying his boots up. “C’mon, sunshine, you’ve gotta go snowshoeing at least once while we’re here.” He kissed Leo’s cheek and wrapped him in a hug. “Please, please, please?”

“Allez, Le, look,” Logan added. He pulled out some gear from a box in the mud room. “I’ve got some nice wool mittens and a fleece Buff, and you’ve got your beanie maman knit you.” He walked up to Leo and put a hand on his cheek. “You’ll be fine, mon coeur.”

Leo narrowed his eyes, but huffed. “Fine. Fine, but don’t be surprised if I can’t make you hot cocoa when we get back.”

Finn snorted lightly through his nose in amusement. “The horror.”

Leo turned to him. “You laugh now, but you love my cocoa.”

“Not as much as I love you,” Finn said with a last kiss to his cheek. “C’mon, let’s get you bundled up, butter.”

“Ouais, I’ll even strap you into your snowshoes, soleil, so you don’t have to take off your mittens.”

Leo thought for a second. “Okay,” he conceded. He pulled the fleece gaiter firmly over his head and tucked it into the neck of his jacket. “Okay, let’s go.”

After being sufficiently bundled up by his boyfriends, Leo stepped out onto the snow-covered porch of the Tremblay’s Rimouski home, just outside of the main city, and took a breath of freezing-cold air. This was not how he anticipated to be spending their week off for the All Star break, but Logan had wanted to go home where the snow was high, and Finn and Leo would follow him anywhere- hence, their mid-season reunion headed up north to the freezing cold Canadian winter. It was a wonderland, the snowbanks piled up on the side of the streets and the tree branches weighed down with heavy powder. If only Leo’s parents could see him now. His mother would certainly laugh.

Leo watched as Logan knelt to strap him into the snowshoes he was borrowing from Logan’s father. He looked handsome with his winter coat and his bomber hat, all rugged and outdoorsy. Leo sometimes forgot that this had been Logan’s life before the NHL- it was more distinctly different from Leo's and Finn’s than Leo’s and Finn’s were from each other. It seemed that he never lost the love for the wilderness, either, because the first thing he had suggested they do last night was go for a morning snowshoe the following day, which Finn had readily agreed to. Leo had taken a little more convincing, and was promised lots of cuddles and blankets after their walk in the woods- a promise he certainly was going to make sure they kept.

Now, however, he got to relish the brightness of Logan’s eyes looking up at him as he finished helping Leo. His gloves were hanging around his wrists on their straps to allow his nimble fingers to do the buckles, and his hair flopped out a little over his forehead from underneath his hat. He smiled gently up at Leo and cradled the back of his calf. “All done,” he said softly, pressing a kiss to Leo’s thigh through his snowpants. He stood up and pressed a light peck to Leo’s lips. “Ready, mon amour?”

“Ouais,” Leo replied. He shivered. “I’m already cold.”

“Well, let’s get moving,” Finn said. He kicked his feet out a few times and grinned at Logan. “Damn, Lo, it’s been a while since I wore these. Probably the last time I visited your place during the winter in college.”

Logan grinned back. “Oui. Not so awkward on your feet now, huh, Bambi?”

Finn rolled his eyes but kissed Logan’s forehead. “Ha ha.” He jerked his chin at Leo. “Why don’t you teach him?” His toasty brown eyes caught Leo’s own baby blues, and his toothy grin and freckles were sharp against the dark navy of his hat. “These are no ordinary shoes, sunshine.”

“Non,” Logan agreed. “You’ve gotta pick your feet up a little more and walk slightly outwards, d’accord? So they don’t drag and tear your snowpants.” He demonstrated by stepping off the porch and walking a few steps in the yard. “Like this, oui?”

“Ooooo-ways!” Finn yelled. He followed after Logan, jumping on him briefly with an arm around his shoulders. He kissed his cheek hard, then turned and held his hand out to Leo. “You coming, baby-baby?”

Leo nodded and took the first step towards them through the soft, twinkling snow.

***

“Oh, baby. Oh, baby-baby, you’re shaking.”

“Uh-huh,” Leo said through chattering teeth. He attempted a smile. “It was fun, though.”

Finn made a noise in the back of his throat. “Are you sure?” He tugged Leo’s hat and Buff off, both slightly damp with sweat and snow. “You’re freezing, sweetheart.”

“Ouais,” Logan said. He had stripped himself of his winter clothes the fastest, left in only jogging pants and a thermal T-shirt. “Let’s throw our damp clothes in the dryer, and I’ll make us a fire.”

“Th-thanks,” Leo got out.

Finn tisked his tongue. “Let’s get you in some fresh dry clothes, Le.”

“I-I’m really fine-”

“Nope, nuh-uh.” Finn shook his head. “No frozen boyfriends. You’re not any fun if you’re frozen.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully but crossed his arms over his body, completely rid of all layers except his pants and thermal shirt as well. “I’m going to go put on a sweatshirt.”

Finn kissed him. “And dry socks. There are some more wool ones I unpacked last night, they’re in the top drawer.”

“Merci,” Leo said, and all but rushed up the stairs to Logan’s bedroom. He found one of Logan’s Rangers sweatshirts on their bed. It was a little big on Logan anyways, and made Leo feel surrounded by the scent of him as he pulled the hood over his head. Leo ducked his nose into the collar and took a big inhale. He’d missed Logan so terribly some nights it was hard to sleep, even with Finn as a warm weight against his back. Now, though, he felt tucked away and safe in the place Logan grew up- even though he was freezing his tail off.

He came back downstairs laden in cozy clothing and two pairs of woolen socks to find Logan in the kitchen bustling around to make tea and Finn putting a few more logs on the fire Logan had made in the Tremblay’s woodstove. Marius and Iva were skiing overnight at a lodge somewhere, so they had the house to themselves, and took full advantage of sprawling across the couches in the living room. Leo nestled into the cushions and smiled as Finn draped a fleece blanket over him, tucking it under Leo’s body.

“There we go,” Finn said. He kissed Leo softly. “A nice Leo burrito.” He sat sideways on Leo’s lap and hugged his shoulders tightly. “How are you feeling, my pretty peanut?”

“Good,” Leo said. Between the sweatshirt, the blanket, and Finn’s fleece-covered shoulder pressing against him, his voice came out muffled. “My face is a little cold, still, and my feet. But I’m okay.”

“Well,” Finn said. “I can do something about that.” He turned his torso slightly and squished Leo’s cheeks, pressing kisses all over his face. His lips were warm and firm, a sharp contrast to Leo’s freezing skin. With a final wet, smacking one to his forehead, Finn leaned back and looked down with a soft grin. “Better?”

Leo nodded. He was smiling so hard his cheeks hurt. “Merci. Where’s Lo?”

“Salut,” Logan said. He came into the room balancing a tray with three cups in one hand and a pair of fuzzy slippers in the other. “Allez, soleil, I brought you something to help with your feet.” He set the tray down and then knelt to the floor to slip the shoes on Leo’s feet. “I figured they would be cold.”

Leo felt his cheeks flush around his smile. Finn laughed and ran a hand through Logan’s hair. “You’re such a sweetheart, huh, ten?”

Logan bit his lip and looked up. He looked happy and content in the soft firelight. “Only sometimes.” He peered around to look at Leo. “You look so cute with your eyes just looking at me like that.”

It was a display of frankness so uncharacteristic of Logan that it made Leo gasp out a giggle, nudging his nose into Finn’s shoulder. “I guess I just got something nice to look at.”

“Ouais, you do,” Logan grinned. He moved to the couch to curl up beside Leo, pushing his warm nose into his neck. He dropped a lingering kiss there. “Thank you for coming snowshoeing with us.”

Leo leaned their heads together and looked up at Finn. “I had fun. Really, I did.” He shivered. “I think I’m just not made for cold weather.”

Logan laughed. “Non. Non, you’re not.” He turned Leo’s face to kiss him gently. “Even though you do look very sweet when you’re all cozy in winter clothes.”

“Yeah,” Finn agreed. He pinched Leo’s nose lightly. “You’re like our own little snugglebug. Soft and squishable and cuddly.”

Leo snorted. “Gee, thanks, Harz.”

“It’s a good thing.” He tucked his face on the other side of Leo’s neck and pressed closer. “I like having a personal snugglebug.” He leaned back to look at Logan and kissed him briefly. “In fact, I got two. Lucky me.”

“Ouais, lucky you.” Logan’s eyes were so fond Leo thought that he would melt into the couch cushions. “Allez, tea time.” He stroked Leo’s belly with a warm hand. “Gotta heat you up from the inside.”

Finn swung his leg over and settled down on Leo’s other side with a final kiss to his cheek. He reached for their tea and handed a cup to each Logan and Leo before taking a sip of his own. His face scrunched in a grimace and he coughed. “Lo. Baby, I love you, so much, but I think this is yours.”

Logan scoffed. “It’s not that bad.”

“I don’t know how you drink that sugar bomb-”

“It’s good-”

“It’s literally pure honey, honey, that is not a perfectly balanced-”

“Oh, mon Dieu, rouge, to me it’s-”

Leo couldn’t help it. Giggles started deep in his belly, warm with the tea, and bubbled upwards until they escaped through his mouth. Logan and Finn stopped abruptly, smiling at him with their mouths open and their foreheads pinched in confusion. Leo looked between the two of them, flushed, and wiggled himself back into the cushions a little bit more.

“Quoi?” Logan asked. He nuzzled into Leo’s neck playfully and nipped at the skin there. “Quoi, what?”

“Nothing,” Leo laughed. “Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing.” He closed his eyes and tilted his head back. “I’m good. I’m so good.” He sighed. “I’m so, so in love with you.”

He couldn’t see their smiles, but he knew they were there. Just like he knew that they were as happy as he was, that they were as in love as he was. He knew that they were in freefall just like him, floating higher and higher and weightless, up in the clouds and on the beach, watching the rolling, blue seas. Their laughter was the music he swayed to, their eyes the view he pictured when he fell asleep. Their fingers had left marks on his skin, their smiles on his heart. Their lips had caressed every part of him, knew all of him, and Leo was so in love he was vibrating with it. He was shivering, but not because he was cold anymore.

He settled further back into the couch and sighed. One of Finn’s hands was on his thigh, the other’s fingers laced with his own; Logan’s warm palm was under his sweatshirt, rubbing his stomach soothingly, the other up in his hair. He felt everywhere their skin touched acutely, like it was burning him, but not like fire. Or, yes, like fire, but like the fire in front of him: heating him from inside out, igniting this eternal flame inside of him.

Leo opened his eyes to find both of their beautiful faces hovering in front of him. He kissed them each softly and bent all their heads together. “I love you,” he whispered with a smile. “I love you so much. Thank you for taking me snowshoeing."

the cubs having a lazing morning in?? i love your work btw xx

Thank you for the kind words, friend! They made my day!

Domestic fluff is actually my FAVORITE thing to write! I think that, simply because of the structure of longer works, we don't always get to see it in multi-chapter stories, so it's cool to be able to explore that in one-shots. The SW universe has so many wonderful characters and I love that we have the opportunity to imagine them in our own heads beyond the given canon. Such is the magic of reading. :)

Have a nice snuggly morning featuring America's Top Chef, Koala Backpack Gold Medal Olympian, and Chatterbox That Comes Up With A Million Nicknames!

Leo awoke to soft light filtering through their curtains and the gentle feeling of blunt nails scratching lightly up and down his back. His body was warm, even with the sheet pooled down by his hips. He blinked hard and took a deep inhale, rousing himself from a vague dream, to find Logan already staring back at him. Leo smiled and made a noise in the back of his throat, stretching with his arms above his head and his hands pushing at the headboard. Logan switched to all palm, massaging Leo’s lower back gently. “Bon matin, soleil.”

Leo peeked out at him with a grin. “Mornin’.”

Logan leaned in to kiss his forehead. “How’d you sleep?”

Leo nodded. “Okay. Thank you for rubbing my back.”

“Mm,” Logan said. “Anytime.”

“Fish?” Leo asked.

“Here, butter,” Finn whispered, morning voice raspy. His arms were wrapped around Logan’s torso and he gently reached over to caress Leo’s ribs. “Hi, sweetheart.”

“Hi.” Leo’s voice was soft and gentle. “Hi, Fish.”

Finn laughed, and Leo looked up in time to see him peek over Logan’s body, propped up on an elbow. He bent over to kiss at Logan’s neck and Leo smiled at them. Logan’s cheek was squished into the pillow, his grin wide. He shrugged his shoulder against Finn’s jaw as Finn worked his way down his neck; Finn pulled away with a smacking kiss and hooked his chin over Logan’s shoulder to look at Leo with soft eyes. “Howdy, butter baby.”

Leo closed his eyes again with a sigh, content and warm enough to just fall back asleep. But he let out a wheeze when, all of a sudden, he felt an arm wrap around his waist and pull. When he opened his eyes he was tucked against Logan’s chest, Finn now pushed up and away and laughing. Leo laughed, too, and reached up to nudge gently at Logan’s shoulder, forcing him onto his back and flopping down on top of him. He turned his head sideways to gaze out at Finn.

“Hey there, gorgeous,” Finn chuckled. He ran a hand through Leo’s hair. “Grumpy caught you?”

“Non,” Logan said defiantly. He had his arms secured around Leo’s shoulders. “Non, he’s not caught.”

Leo kissed his cheek. “Then what am I?”

“Snuggling.” Logan let out a content sound, a sigh mixed with a soft groan that had Finn and Leo smiling at each other. “You’re snuggling me.”

“I’m squishing you.”

“Non, you’re not. You’re like a weighted blanket.”

Finn snorted. “Oh, really, Tremblay? You like a weighted blanket, huh?”

“Mm, ouais.” He opened a sleepy eye at them. “Quoi?”

Leo pushed his face into Logan’s neck. “Nothing. I’m just not usually the weighted blanket. I like it.” He winked at Finn. “Someone else normally holds that position.”

Logan smacked at his hip lightly but didn’t say anything. Finn was on his side, looking at them lovingly and running a hand up and down Leo’s ribs. “What are we doing today?”

Leo took his hand. “I’ve got some of that homemade protein pancake dry mix left. I can make us breakfast.” He kissed Finn’s fingers. “Then the gym for training?”

Logan groaned. “We are on vacation. No morning gym.”

Finn smiled down at him. “Then when do we go to the gym, sweetheart?”

“Afternoon,” Logan grumbled. “Vacation. Lazy morning.”

“Sounds perfect,” Finn said. He laid back down on his pillow. “I love you.”

Leo just leaned in for a kiss. “Love you.” He pressed a kiss to Logan’s mouth, too. Logan reached up to trace his cheeks, green eyes soft. Leo kissed his nose, too. “Breakfast.”

“Non, stay.”

“Lo, I gotta make breakfast.”

“Stay.” Logan made a protesting noise when Leo went to stand up. He made grabby hands at him. “Peanut, come back.”

“Oh my God,” Finn said with an impressive eyeroll. “Come here, you big baby.” He rolled Logan onto him with a smacking forehead kiss. He looked to Leo. “We’ll come help you in five minutes, Le. Let grumpy get this out of his system.”

“I’m not grumpy.”

“Yes you are, honey,” Leo giggled. He pressed a kiss to Logan’s back and Finn’s nose then turned towards their closet. “But I love you very much. I’ll get dressed and go make breakfast.”

“Don’t get dressed.”

Leo hung his head back, flushing. “Lo…”

“Shirt off, please,” Finn requested.

Leo leaned out of the closet. “That’s how I burn myself with oil, honey.” He smiled at their matching groans. He flipped through his shirts on a clothes hanger and smiled, pulling one of Finn’s tank tops over his head. He walked out. “Okay?”

They both stared unabashedly at his arms and shoulders. Finn nodded. “Acceptable.”

Leo winked at them before heading to the kitchen and opening the cupboard, searching for the plastic tub with his homemade protein pancake dry-mix. From there it was easy: add the wet ingredientes, fry some eggs and turkey bacon, chop some fruit. He put on some low music, an old John Denver album that Finn liked, and hummed to himself as he set the kettle to boil. They’d all taken to black tea in the morning recently, what with the lack of an intense schedule, which Leo liked better. He enjoyed the act of putting the bags in the mug, pouring the water. Logan still liked his with a lot of honey, and Finn liked his plain, but with the tea bag in. Leo preferred a mix, with no milk and minimal honey and with no tea bag. He felt that that described their relationship perfectly: in the essence they belonged together, they were a unit- tea was tea, after all. But they brought something different and new to compliment one another, three distinct parts that made an inseparable whole.

Leo smiled as two arms came to wrap around his waist. “Hi, sweetheart.”

Logan just grunted into his back, planting his feet to take more of Leo’s weight. “Up.”

Leo snorted and looked over his shoulder to meet Logan’s green eyes. “You actually are a baby now.”

“Non, I’m not.” He sighed dejectedly. “You left me in bed.”

“To make you breakfast, sweetheart.”

Logan scowled. “Piggyback.”

“Lo, honey, I don’t want your feet to get burned or-”

“Leo.”

Leo sighed and raised his eyebrows. “Fine. Okay, okay, Lord.” He bent down and held his arms out behind him. “You’re sure good at getting what you want, huh?”

Logan smiled against his ear as he jumped onto Leo’s back, arms wrapping around his shoulders, legs around his hips. “It’s a special skill.”

Leo hummed and tilted his neck for the kisses that Logan was placing on his skin. Logan rested his chin on Leo’s shoulder contentedly, watching as Leo flipped their pancakes. Every now and then he would reach over his shoulder with fruit, sometimes a little bit of bacon. Logan thanked him with a kiss to his cheek every time. When Leo turned to grab some plates, he found Finn sat at the counter, watching them.

“Hi lovers,” Finn said with a smile. “You need help, nutter butter baby?”

Leo reached for his hand to kiss the back of it. “Can you get the butter, syrup, silverware, stuff like that, please?”

“Sure thing, baby.” Finn wrapped his knuckles on the counter and walked around to the other side, placing a kiss on Leo’s cheek before going to the utensil drawer. “Lo, what have you done?”

“I’m keeping Leo warm.”

Finn raised his eyebrows at him.

Logan laughed lowly. “I’ll clean up.” He kissed Leo’s cheek wetly. “Don’t worry, peanut, I got you.”

“Thank you, sweetheart.” Leo squeezed Logan’s thighs. “You wanna sit down?”

“Non.”

Finn pinched Logan’s hip. “We gotta eat, Tremz.”

“I’ll eat here.”

Leo laughed. “Logan.”

Logan grumbled. “Fine, fine, d’accord.” He sighed heavily.

Finn scoffed. “You poor baby. Poor baby boy.”

“Oui, I am.”

Leo just walked around the counter and set him down in a chair, soothing his disappointment with a kiss. Logan kept him there, hands in his hair and mouth on fire, until Leo pulled away and looked at him knowingly. Logan just sighed again. “At least I tried.”

“Poor baby boy,” Leo echoed. He went back to his pancakes, Finn kneading at his hips. “Can you get me the plates, please, honey? I’ll dish it up and then we’ll eat.” He jerked his head to their mugs. “Tea should be cool enough to drink now, too.”

“Thank you, baby,” Finn said with a final squeeze to Leo’s waist. “You always cook so well.”

Leo smiled and grabbed a spatula to serve their eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Finn spooned the fruit into bowls and grabbed their mugs to place in front of their seats.

Leo admired their handiwork with a warm feeling in his chest. He loved hockey, he really, truly did; but he and Finn were forced to miss Logan during the season, and meals were often rushed, even if they were together. Leo liked to take his time with his food, with his cooking, with his boys. He stepped up behind Finn to wrap him in a hug, tucking his face into his neck. Finn reached back to scratch his scalp and Leo sighed into it, looking at Logan over Finn’s shoulder.

“You okay, baby?” Finn asked.

Leo nodded. “Can we snuggle after this?”

Logan grinned at him where his fork was poised over his eggs. “Ouais.”

“Lazy morning,” Finn whispered, leaning his head back into Leo. “We can do whatever you want, sunshine.”

“I want to snuggle.”

Finn turned in his arms. “You okay, sweetheart?”

Leo furrowed his brow. “Yeah, why?”

“You don’t usually ask to snuggle.” He patted Leo’s butt lovingly. “That’s usually a Logan thing. Or a me thing.” When he saw Leo’s blush, he made a sound and kissed his cheek. “It’s not a bad thing, Le. It’s a very good thing, actually, we love you telling us what you want.”

“Ouais,” Logan agreed. “I’m always okay to snuggle.”

Finn snorted and looked over his shoulder. “We know that, Tremblay.”

Leo nudged his nose into Finn’s cheek. “I’m just happy that we’re together.”

“Yeah?” Finn said giddily. “Me, too.” He carded his fingers through Leo’s hair. “I’m a very lucky man. You’re sexy as fuck.” Leo laughed and Finn turned once again in his arms to face Logan. Leo stroked his hands over his stomach. “And you’re sexy as fuck.”

Logan was grinning so hard his eyes crinkled. “Vous deux aussi.”

“Oui baguette.” Finn brought Leo’s hands to his mouth to kiss them. “Let’s eat, sweet things.”

They sat on either side of Logan, conversation gentle and happy. Logan had an ankle intertwined around one of each of theirs, and he looked content and handsome in the kitchen light. Finn was relaxed, spending half the time chatting instead of eating, as per usual, and was the last one to finish. Logan was playing with the fingers of his left hand, which was not helping the slow eating issue, but Leo thought it was worth it to see the way Finn’s long, delicate fingers clutched at Logan’s thicker, veiny ones. Finn saw him looking and waved said fingers at him, making him laugh around his sip of tea. Logan pinched his nose and kissed him playfully before standing up to bring their plates to the sink. Finn went to help him, and Leo got a nice view of both of their back muscles working through their T-shirts as they cleaned together. Finn refilled his tea with a kiss to his forehead and a “you just sit there and look pretty, sunshine”, Logan smacking his butt to get him to focus back on the task in front of them. Finn rolled his eyes but complied, giving Logan’s own behind a hard pat in return.

“You know,” Leo said suddenly, interrupting their quiet bickering. “This was one of the things I dreamed about the most. When I thought of having a partner. Or, partners.”

“Pourquoi, soleil?” Logan’s eyes were gentle, loving.

Leo shrugged. “I don’t know. I guess- for me, it’s about companionship. You can go through the motions in any sort of relationship.” Leo waved his hand vaguely. “The dates, the kissing, even the sex- it can all… happen, you know?” He rested his cheek on his palm and met their soft gazes. “But this- this feeling. How calm I feel with you, how happy I am- I think that’s what makes it different. It’s companionship, it’s a life.” He stretched out his arms. “And that’s what I wanted, when I was younger.”

Finn smiled widely at him. “Well… I don’t know how to top that.”

Leo shook his head fondly. “You don’t have to. You’re the reason why I have this life.”

“Oh, baby.” Finn walked around the counter to kiss Leo’s smile gently. “You’re all I’ve ever wanted.” He turned to Logan. “You, too. C’mere, Lo.”

But Logan didn’t move, too busy flitting his eyes over both of their faces. He looked a little shocked, a little frozen, like he didn’t know what to do with himself. Leo furrowed his brow. “Lo? You okay?”

Logan didn’t say anything as he walked around the counter and bullied himself in between them. Finn laughed as he forced his way into Leo’s lap, making the high chair wobble dangerously, and burrowed himself into Leo’s neck. “Soleil, you can’t just say things like that.”

Finn was still laughing, hands gently resting on Logan’s waist. “And why can’t he?”

“Because it- he can’t just…” Logan huffed. “He just can’t.”

“You know what I think?” Finn’s grin was mischievous and Leo shook his head exasperatedly at him.

“Quoi?”

“I think you’re flustered,” Finn said in Logan’s ear. “I think peanut went and flustered you, and you can’t handle it, and so you’re a grumpy boy. A grumpy baby boy.”

“I already told you, I’m not-”

“You so are.”

“Non, rouge, je ne suis pas-”

Leo sighed, taking matters into his own hands and interrupting Logan with a hard kiss. His body jerked, surprised, but after a moment he melted into it with a soft noise, shoulders relaxing under Leo’s hands. Leo grinned against Logan’s mouth before pulling away. “Snuggle?”

Finn pressed a kiss to Logan’s neck. “I have an idea. On the couch.”

He took both of their hands and led them to their living room, where he flopped down on their sofa lengthwise, back nestled against a pillow in the corner, legs spread in front of him. He patted at the space in between them and looked up at Leo. “Sit, gorgeous.”

Leo sat with his back to Finn’s chest and opened his arms for Logan to lie on top of him on his stomach. He sighed heavily, letting his weight go on Finn and burying his nose in Logan’s hair. “I love sitting like this,” he whispered.

He felt Finn grin into his own hair. “I know you do, sweetheart. You’ve loved it since the day we did this in the airport on our way to play Lo for the first time in New York.”

Logan lifted his head up. As if he couldn’t help himself, he reached up to play with Leo’s curls. “Quoi?”

Leo pushed Logan’s hair back from his forehead. “When we were in the airport, I sat with my back to Finn’s chest and fell right asleep.” He turned to look at Finn, whose eyes were soft and crinkled with his smile. “So we started sitting like this a lot, like he does with you.” Logan was smiling, too, when Leo faced him again, hand cupping his jaw. “We watch you play like this on the TV.”

“You do?” Logan asked. His lips were parted softly and he sighed. “That makes me happy.”

“Yeah?” Finn’s voice was a bit tight.

Logan nodded. “Ouais. Makes me happy to think you’re there. Gives me something to think about when you’re not.”

“Oh.” The word escaped Finn abruptly, as if he didn’t mean for it to. Leo laced their fingers where they were resting across Logan’s lower back. “Oh, baby…”

Logan smiled at them so softly it stole Leo’s breath. “Non, rouge, ne pleure pas, mon amour.”

“Sorry,” Finn got out. He pressed soft kisses into Leo’s neck. “You’re just so beautiful, it makes me, like- emotional.” He let out a laugh. “That’s so cheesy.”

Logan laughed, too. “Non, it’s good. Vous êtes tous les deux les plus beaux.”

“What?”

“He said we’re the most beautiful,” Leo whispered. He leaned back to kiss Finn’s jaw. “How’s that for topping me, huh?”

“No, not topping you,” Finn said. He ran a thumb over Logan’s bottom lip. “Just as good. Jesus, you both render me speechless.”

Leo snorted. “That’s not true.”

“Well, almost speechless. Closer than anyone else has ever got, at least.”

That got a full body laugh out of Logan, shaking against Leo’s body. “One day I’ll get you to be quiet.”

“Oh?” Leo could imagine Finn’s smile. “That sounds fun.”

Logan rolled his eyes, but was blushing. “Non, not that.” He sighed and rested his head against Leo’s chest again. “When I ask you to marry me.”

Now Leo could actually feel Finn’s smile, pressed against the skin below his ear. “Oh yeah? Who says you’ll get down on one knee first, Tremblay?”

“Yeah,” Leo agreed. “Might beat you to it.”

Logan just kissed Leo’s chest. “I just have a feeling.” He wiggled a little bit, settling right down. “Then we have sleepy mornings forever.”

“Ouais,” Leo whispered. “Sounds perfect.”

“Forever isn’t long enough,” Finn said. “Not nearly long enough.” He pulled them both snug against him. “I love you. Forever and even after that.”

“Je t’aime.”

Leo let out a breath and turned his face into Finn’s, a hand in Logan’s hair. “I love you.” He kissed Finn’s jaw with a grin. “Forever and a little bit more.”

“A lot more, sunshine, catch up.”

Leo snorted, then his snort grew into a laugh, and soon they were all laughing hard. It wasn’t even that funny, but they were laughing like it was the best joke they’d ever heard. Finn and Leo set Logan, who wasn’t a very loud laugher, off every time they looked at him. He crawled up Leo’s body to kiss him hard, then Finn, before sitting back on his heels. His smile was bright, as wide as Leo had ever seen it, and he was so gorgeous that Finn and Leo couldn’t look away. He scrunched his nose around his grin and stroked up and down Leo’s abs.

“I’m gonna love you forever,” Logan finally said with a content sigh. “Forever and a lot more.” He then flopped down dramatically on Leo with an oof and resumed his position as human koala extraordinaire. “Lots of lazy mornings.”

“Yeah,” Leo whispered. Finn kissed his cheek. “Lots and lots of lazy mornings. As many as you want, sweethearts.”

“C’est bien,” Logan said. He was falling asleep. “C’est bien.” Between one breath and the next, he was unconscious.

Finn squeezed them both tighter. “Sleep, butter. I’ll wake you up when it’s lunchtime.”

“Okay,” Leo said. He felt floaty and warm. “Love you.”

“Love you,” Finn replied softly. “Love you, love you, love you.”

Can we get some VERY LITTLE angst with LOTS OF COMFORT AND FLUFF that maybe touches on the hurt that Leo felt when Logan got protective over Finn after his concussion it makes me want to cry how guilty he probably felt because Jack was the one who hurt Finn 🥲 and then Logan snapping at him probably solidified that guilt/ also made him feel like an outsider in their relationship

Poor sunshine. That was a tough time for him. :(

I kinda reworked this prompt a bit, because in Vaincre it does address some of the elements you mentioned, anon, HOWEVER, I do think I did it justice. Please let me know, though, if you want another perspective or something. Maybe a reflective Leo in NOLA (even though that angst would be yikes)?

I've FINALLY got a good chunk of prompts written, so please keep sending in more! They're a good brain exercise/creative escape when I need a break from my homework. To all going through finals right now- I feel you, I see you, and FUCK GROUP PROJECTS, oh my goodness. I'm never going to recover, I fear. It's not the people in the group, obviously, but holy smokes I work better solo. Sending thoughts and prayers to all those who feel the same as me, haha.

ANYWHO, enjoy a bit of angst, a lot of love, and a hefty amount of Logan Tremblay Weighted Blanket Extraordinaire (because his sunshine was gone for a LONG TIME, okay?! He went through a withdrawal and now has a Vitamin D deficiency, and the only cure is Leo's bare skin touching his for a MINIMUM of twelve hours of snuggles. So sue him.).

Leo never wanted to move from their arms again. Finn’s uninjured one was scratching the back of his head, and Logan was a warm heat against Leo’s back, hands clasped tight around his stomach. Leo breathed out a sigh and sank into the warmth even New Orleans couldn’t provide him.

“Hi, baby,” Finn whispered. He was pressing kisses softly over Leo’s face. “Hi, we missed you. Right, Lo?”

Leo felt Logan’s hum reverberate throughout his body. A kiss was dropped onto the back of his left shoulder. “Ouais, so much.”

Finn’s smile was soft and fond when he looked at Leo. “To what do we owe the surprise?”

Leo shrugged. He rubbed his hands up and down Finn’s ribs distractedly. “Just didn’t wanna stay away. Missed you. And…”

I think- I’m trying to say sorry.

You think?

I fucked up.

Yeah, Jack, you think?

“Le?”

Finn was a bit concerned now. Leo reached up with one hand to brush his hair back from his forehead carefully. His eyes flashed to the band of his sling. I’m sorry. For high school. For the lights, for these last few months, for O’Hara.

“Soleil?”

Leo opened up an arm for Logan to tuck into his side. He kissed his cheek. “I think I want to shower. Then we can- I can talk about it.”

Finn nodded. “Of course, yeah, of course.” He nudged their noses together and kissed him lightly. “Do you want us to come with you?”

Leo thought for a moment then shook his head. “I need to collect my thoughts. Please.”

“D’accord.” Logan reached up to cup Leo’s jaw and leaned in for a kiss. “We love you so much.”

“Love you.” Leo sighed and squeezed each of them, Finn a little more gently. “Okay, give me ten minutes.”

Leo felt the distance from them acutely while in the shower. He’d almost asked them to stay outside the shower doors. Logan would have started there, at least, but he would have wormed his way in to be close to Leo. And Finn would try and talk and distract him, because that was what he did, and he was so kind and gorgeous, but Leo didn’t need that right now- as much as he wanted it. Jack’s pinched face on the dock flashed through his mind. He sucked in a breath and turned the shower off hard, slipping a bit on the floor a bit as he grabbed a towel. He dripped water on the floor in his haste to get to their bedroom, but he hardly noticed.

When he opened the door, Finn was straddling Logan’s lap, both of them smiling softly and whispering. Finn had his good arm draped over Logan’s shoulder and was scratching his scalp. They both turned to look at Leo when he entered with happy eyes.

“Hi,” Leo whispered with a small smile.

Logan’s own smile got wider, if possible, and he nudged Finn off his lap to stand and press himself against Leo’s chest. His fingers played with the edge of the towel around Leo’s hips. He let out a sigh. “Je t’aime.”

Leo caught Finn’s eye over Logan’s head. The corner of his eyes were crinkled at the edges. “Grumpy missed you.”

Leo rested his cheek on top of Logan’s head. “Just him?”

“Obviously not.”

“I missed you, too.” He kissed Logan’s temple. “I gotta get changed.”

“Mm,” Logan hummed. “Non.”

“Ouais, honey, I do.”

Logan let out another soft noise of contentment. “Your accent sounds stronger.” He pulled back slightly to run his hands up and down Leo’s arms and kissed him. “I love it.”

Leo knew his face was red from blushing when he gave Logan a last kiss and turned to the dresser. He was searching for his favorite pair of Finn’s plaid boxers when he felt two arms wrap around his waist again. He hung his head back with a laugh. “Logan.”

When Logan didn’t say anything, Leo looked over his shoulder. Finn was still watching them with playful eyes.

“Lo, sweetheart, I gotta get changed.”

“Non, you don’t.”

“Oh my God. Okay, fine, stay there.”

It was a bit of a struggle, getting boxers on with a barnacle attached to his back, especially when Logan made a real effort to prevent Leo from putting them on in the first place. Leo turned to raise his eyebrows at him when he felt a playful tap to his butt. Logan was hiding his grin in the skin of Leo's shoulder, green eyes looking innocently up at him. Leo shook his head fondly and managed to pull the waistband around his hips. But when there was another pinch, he spun around and bent to wrap his arms under Logan’s thighs. Logan let out a loud laugh, squeezing his feet together in the small of Leo’s back as he was lifted. Leo narrowed his eyes.

“You’re trouble, Tremblay.”

“You realize he got exactly what he wanted, right?” Finn asked through his own laugh.

“Mhm.” Leo leaned in to nudge his and Logan’s noses together. “Like he somehow always does.”

Logan tucked his face in Leo’s neck. “Mm, ouais.”

Leo snorted. “You have no shame.”

He walked over to the bed and knelt on the mattress beside Finn, leaning over and falling on top of Logan. They both let out an oof and Logan threw his head back in a laugh, his face flushed in the way it got when he was really, truly happy. Leo leaned down to kiss his cheeks. He felt Finn press a warm palm to his back.

“Oh, baby,” Finn whispered, kissing Leo’s shoulders. “We’re so happy, we’re so happy you’re home.”

Leo shifted onto his side to lay in between them, Logan resting his head against his chest. “Me, too.”

Finn tugged on one of his curls. “How are you feeling?”

“Better,” Leo said. He pushed himself to sit up against the pillows, bringing Logan with him. “Better, definitely.”

“Good.” Finn kissed his forehead and Leo felt tension he didn’t know he was carrying melt away.

They sat there in silence for a minute. Finn and Logan were both watching Leo carefully, even as they kept their hands busy touching his skin and hair. Leo knew they were waiting for him to talk. He took a deep breath and watched Logan play with his fingers. “I saw Jack.”

Logan’s eyes darkened. His jaw clenched. “Quoi?”

Leo avoided their gazes. “He found me when I was bringing the boat in. This afternoon.”

Finn cupped Leo’s jaw to meet his eyes. “And?”

Leo chewed on his bottom lip. “He said he was sorry.”

Finn scoffed. “Good.” At Leo’s silence, Finn eyebrows furrowed. His fingers were still mindlessly playing with Leo’s jaw. “Not good?”

Leo felt his shoulders sink. “He said he was sorry.” He looked at Finn. “For you.” At Logan. “For high school. For the lights, for- everything. I don’t know, he held himself accountable. And I accepted it.” He shrugged. “So that’s that, I guess, but…” He felt his eyes heat up a bit. “I don’t know, I still feel…”

“Mon soleil.” Logan looked a bit sad as he straddled Leo’s lap, fingers coming to lace themselves through Leo’s curls. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, mon coeur.” He kissed Leo’s cheeks gently. “Mon amour,” he murmured.

“No.” Leo gripped Logan’s hips hard. “No, Lo, I’m sorry.”

“Quoi? What, no-”

“Yeah, yes.” Leo nodded quickly. He looked between Finn and Logan, who both had curious and hesitant looks on their faces. “I’m so sorry. About making Finn’s concussion about me, about leaving you in New York, I don’t- I don’t know why I did that, that was really mean, and I’m sorry. I love you so much, and I’m so sorry.”

“Whoa, whoa, hey,” Finn hushed. He knelt up to bring Leo’s head to rest against his chest on his good side. “Hey, Le, no, baby. No, baby, no.” He pressed his mouth into Leo’s hair. “Don’t be sorry, sweetheart, it’s not your fault.”

“It kind of is.” Leo pulled back to look at him. “I left Logan. In New York. And Jack did take his anger out on you, he told me. And he was angry at me, and so I- seeing him, and hearing him tell me, it just-” He let out a frustrated noise. “I guess I just realized how much I missed you. How separate I felt for a minute, and how much I didn’t like that.”

“Leo.” Logan coaxed Leo into looking at him. “We already said sorry, mon coeur. It’s all okay now.” He kissed Leo, firm but gentle. “I don’t want you to feel like that again, d’accord?”

“I know.” Leo nodded and sniffed. Logan brushed his thumbs over Leo’s cheeks where a few tears had fallen. “I know, sorry. I just- I think Jack just made me feel guilty again.”

Finn kissed Leo’s cheek hard. “Fucker.”

Despite that, Leo laughed. “I guess, yeah. A bit.” He let his head fall back and closed his eyes. “I don’t know, I still want him to be happy. But I don’t really want to see him.” He opened his eyes again. “Is that awful of me?”

“No,” Finn whispered. He was smiling softly. “No, baby, that’s not awful of you. I think that’s very big of you, wanting him to be happy, even though he hurt you. Not many people would.”

“Ouais, me.”

Leo threw his head back and gasped out a laugh. “Logan!”

“Quoi? It’s true!” He buried his face in Leo’s neck and kissed the skin there. “I don’t want to see you hurting.” He pulled away to look at Finn. “Either of you. He hurt you both, and I don’t like that.”

Leo’s laughter subsided and he pressed their foreheads together. “I know, sweetheart.” He kissed Logan’s lips quickly. “I don’t want to hurt anymore either. But I feel better.” He reached out for Finn’s hand and kissed the back of it. “And you? How are you feeling, baby?”

Finn smiled. “I’m so good. So good.” He moved to sit beside Leo, snuggling close with his nose in Leo’s neck. “So happy you’re better, baby. How was the rest of New Orleans?”

Leo could almost feel the warmth of his city on his skin if he thought hard enough. “Really, really good. Cooked a lot with my parents, saw my cousins, the neighbors. Took the boat out a lot and went fishing. Ran with my mama, got ice cream with dad. The usual.”

Finn hummed, busy kissing Leo’s jaw. “Good usual?”

Leo nodded. “Yeah. Really good.” He stretched out his legs under Logan’s weight. “Mama and dad are excited we’re coming down. Said they want to have a party for you if you win, Lo. Or even if you don’t. My cousins and stuff are dying to meet you both.”

“Oh, boy,” Finn said, waggling his eyebrows. “A southern-style welcome.”

“I will go,” Logan whispered, brushing his nose with Leo’s, as if he couldn’t help it. “If there is good food.”

Leo snorted. “Oh honey,” he said, shaking his head fondly. “You already know there will be. The Knuts cook some mean barbecue.”

“Bien,” Logan sighed. He wiggled happily in the cradle of Leo’s hips, then rested his head back on his chest. “Sleep.”

“Okay, hold on.”

Leo shifted himself down to lie flat on the bed, Logan a warm weight on top of him and Finn against his opposite shoulder, ankles intertwined. Finn pulled the covers over them and kissed each of their cheeks. “Feels good to have you back in bed,” he said with a yawn. “Was empty.”

“Mm.” Leo squeezed Finn’s ankles between his own. He sighed. “I always sleep better with you both.”

Logan made a slightly distressed noise. “Did you sleep in New Orleans?”

“A bit, yeah. Had to tire myself out a lot, though.” He rubbed a hand up and down Logan’s warm back. “Feels better when I’m home.”

“Yeah,” Finn agreed. His face was slack; two more minutes and he would be asleep. “Feels better when you’re home.”

Logan pressed a kiss right into the center of Leo’s chest. “Sleep, mon coeur. If you can’t, I’ll rub your back.”

Leo felt his breath hitch a bit. It felt so good to be home. “I love you,” he whispered.

“Love you.”

“Je t’aime.”

Leo closed his eyes. For the first time in what felt like months, with the heat of their skin against his, he felt himself finally relax as he drifted off to sleep.

I feel like this is a big ask so you do not have to do it if you don’t wanna but maybe a soulmate au?? Like soulmate identifying marks?? Just cause I’m thinking about Harvard finnlo angst where they already know they’re soulmates and choosing to ignore it🥲 and also thinking about leo somehow seeing both of their marks and choosing to hide his anyway idk I just think it would be really angsty and romantic🥹🥹🥹 sorry for rambling hopefully this made some sense THANK YOU❤️❤️

I think this takes the prize as my favorite prompt EVER! This idea just flowed so well to me, and I LOVE this AU! Definitely one of my proudest fics for you all. :)

Gryffindor, December 2019

Leo brushed his sweaty hair back from his face and placed his goalie mask on the bench. It was getting long, curling down towards the base of his neck. He'd need to cut it again soon.

He considered to himself, as he stripped off his pads, what exactly would happen if he cut it shorter on the sides instead of just trimming it all around. He'd always liked that style on curly hair, shorter on the sides and fluffy and defined at the top, but hadn't allowed himself to do that in years. Now it was so much to manage, especially with the more intense NHL schedule. He ran a hand across the side, imagining how it would feel- then his fingers touched the raised skin behind his ear and the thought vanished completely.

Leo's soul mark had always branded him a bit ‘different’. There were three, like fine-lined tattoos, nestled just behind the shell of his right ear: a sun, a fleur-de-lis, and a fish, like the outline of a Goldfish cracker. At first, it hadn't been a big deal. He wore it out, like everyone did at a young age, his hair not bothering to hide it. But as he got older, people started to ask questions. And at twelve years old, when he realized he liked boys, he'd decided that enough was enough. He started to grow his hair out, just enough to cover it, and that was that.

Leo scratched his fingers over it and looked around the locker room. Nobody, that he was aware of, had three marks, just the normal two. Some guys wore them out: Pascal, Sirius and Remus, Thomas. Some others kept them covered: Kasey, even though he had a girlfriend, Kuny, Jackson- Finn and Logan.

Leo tried not to let his face flush too much at the thought of the last two. It was bad enough being gay and having a distinct soul mark that would surely ostracize him; he didn't need anyone discovering the little crush he had on his two teammates who were definitely into one another. Leo had seen the looks, the longing- he wasn't about to get in the way. He sighed and turned to grab his towel for his shower.

Boston, MA, February 2015

“Fucking yes, Tremzy!”

Logan whooped as he allowed himself to be pressed into the boards by his teammates, watching as hats rained down on the ice.

“Hatty hatty!” Percy yelled. “Beanpot Finals, here we come, let's go!”

Logan laughed, skating away towards the bench for a shift change. There were only three seconds left on the clock- overtime against Northeastern had barely been avoided.

He felt a smack on his butt from a stick as he climbed the boards. “Way to go, Lolo.”

Logan rolled his eyes and looked at Finn, who was grinning at him mischievously through his mask. It was his assist that had allowed Logan to give them the lead. “Nice pass.”

Finn hopped the boards, too, and gave Logan's helmet a tap with his own. “Fucking magic, we are.”

Yes, Logan thought as he watched the clock wind down. Fucking magic.

He was kept behind for quite a few interviews afterwards, the other boys having long gone to get dinner in the meal hall the stadium was providing them with before getting the bus back to campus. Logan sighed as he stripped his Under Armour and jock strap off, left bare in the empty locker room. He rolled out his neck and looked down at his body. He ran his thumb over the fleur-de-lis tattoo on his left. It was dark against his skin. On his other hip the thin bandage and strong tape he used to cover his soul mark was peeling off.

He looked around carefully- nobody was here. Normally, he showered with it then removed the bandage once he put on his clothes, out of sight from anyone else. But now, with no one to disturb him, he felt an itch to wash the sweaty skin underneath. Carefully, he stripped it off and threw the waste in the trash can, grabbing his towel and some soap and heading to the showers.

The water was warm against his aching muscles. Logan washed himself then tilted his head down, back against the spray. He loved his teammates, the game, the fans, but sometimes he needed a moment to collect himself. English still had him fumbling his words in interviews, and it exhausted him to be surrounded by the noise and fanfare, no matter how well-intentioned it may be. Logan liked his time to himself, with nobody else around him.

Well, maybe nobody else except-

A sharp gasp made him look up, covering himself with his hand. It was Finn. He was staring intently at Logan's right hip. Logan furrowed his brow. “Harz, what-”

Then he realized. The soul mark.

Logan's wide eyes looked up, trying to catch Finn's attention, but he was standing still, more still than Logan had ever seen him. Then suddenly, as if someone lit a match under him, he turned and walked out of the room.

“Merde,” Logan swore, shutting off the water and reaching for his towel. “Fish!”

Logan hurried after him to the locker room. Finn was pacing, chest heaving and mouth covered by his hand. He was quiet, so unlike himself, and Logan was beginning to get worried.

“Finn,” Logan said. “What's wrong?”

Finn still didn't say anything. He stopped in front of Logan with his fists clenched at his sides. His eyes were hard and desperate, and Logan could feel the heat of his skin this close. It made goosebumps trail up his bare chest.

“Finn,” Logan whispered, just to say his name.

Slowly, ever so slowly, Finn plucked at the bottom hem of his own shirt. Logan watched as the skin was revealed, freckles dotting his shoulders, his muscles lean and strong. When Finn finally pulled the fabric over his head, he was looking at Logan expectantly.

“Quoi?” Logan asked. “I don't-” But his breath caught in his throat. There, along the side of Finn's ribs, where his arm was moved to display the skin, were three tattoos in a vertical line: a sun, a fleur-de-lis, and a fish.

Logan let out a small gasp, staring at the mark for a second. A hand cupped his jaw, one going down to his right hip. He leaned into the touch and watched as Finn moved the towel down with his thumb, revealing the cluster of Logan's identical marks. They were breathing harshly against one another, their chests brushing as Logan lifted his head to meet Finn's eyes. They were open and raw, asking him a question. Logan only nodded slightly, and then Finn was leaning in.

When their lips met, it was grace and relief as Logan had never felt. Finn was soft and gentle at first, but then Logan ran a hand over his ribs, over his mark, and then Finn was gripping his jaw and hip more desperately, a soft noise leaving his mouth as he kissed Logan harder.

Logan reached his other hand up to lace in Finn's hair, soft and thick and the subject of an embarrassing amount of daydreams. Finn took that as an invitation to kiss down Logan's neck, his lips hot and wet. Logan didn't realize he'd closed his eyes until they opened abruptly at the sound of a door opening, him and Finn jerking apart.

“Harz, Tremz!” Will called. “Team meeting during dinner, let's go!”

Finn and Logan were both still panting as they took each other in. Finn stared at Logan's mark for a second, then at his face. “Lo…”

The way Finn said his name was going to make Logan melt. He jerked his head towards the door. “Allez, Will's calling.” He turned towards his stall to find his clothes. “I'll meet you there.”

There was the sound of a frustrated sigh, then footsteps and the door as Finn left. Logan closed his eyes against the tears and pulled on his boxers.

Gryffindor, March 2019

Leo heard the door to his and Finn’s apartment slam. He jerked up from where he'd been reading to find a wet and shivering Finn staring at him with his arms crossed. His running clothes were soaked through and his lips were purple.

“Jesus, Finn,” Leo said, standing up and going to the bathroom. “I thought you were out with Logan.”

Finn shook his head, his teeth chattering. “N-no, he c-c-cancelled.”

Leo rushed towards him with a towel. “It's pouring. You were gone for hours, what happened?”

Finn shrugged, but Leo saw him try and duck away. “N-needed to th-th-think.”

“In the rain?”

Finn just looked at him, shivering. “P-Peanut, I'm cold.”

“Okay, okay,” Leo hushed. “I've got you.” He reached his hands out and grasped at the bottom of Finn's T-shirt. “Is this okay?”

Finn nodded hurriedly, letting the towel drop to the floor as Leo lifted his shirt over his head. Next, he helped Finn out of his shorts and socks and shoes, just left in his thermal undershirt and briefs.

“Okay, last layer, then I'll warm up the shower for you, okay?”

Finn nodded. “‘Kay.”

Leo helped him pull the final layer over his head, the wet and clinging fabric sticking to his face briefly. When he was freed of the clothing, Finn immediately started shivering harder, skin exposed to the air. Leo leaned in to hug him. “I've got you. Geez, Fish.”

“S-Sorry.”

“No, don't be, it's okay.” He leaned back, arms still around Finn's freezing waist. “Shower.”

Finn nodded, leaning down to pick up his towel from the floor. As he was bent over, his arm shifted, and Leo got a peak at some dark marks on his ribs. Leo thought it was a tattoo, but then he looked closer, eyes widening. He couldn't help the gasp he let out.

Finn looked up, alarmed, until he saw Leo looking at the soul marks. A sun, a fleur-de-lis, and a fish. He smiled a bit sheepishly. “Sorry.”

Leo shook his head quickly, a little dizzy. He hoped Finn didn't notice the flush on his cheeks. “No, I'm sorry.” He hurried away. “I'll go turn on the shower for you, then get you some comfy clothes.”

Finn quietly said his thanks from behind. Leo put his hand over his mouth and tried to fight against the tears.

Harvard University, June 2016

“Lo, c'mere. I've gotta go.”

Logan just continued to stare down angrily at the wooden table. Finn sighed and sat across from him. He looked gorgeous in the early morning light, the golden sun streaking across his brown hair. When he looked up to Finn, his green eyes were sad. “Non. You're not leaving.”

Finn bit the inside of his cheek. “Don't make this harder than it already is.”

“But you're leaving-”

“And so will you, in a year! I graduated, you'll graduate, hopefully be drafted like me. And I-” Finn sucked in a breath. “Lo, I already miss you.”

Logan closed his eyes tightly, fighting against obvious tears. Like he did almost every day, Finn thought about the marks along his ribs, on Logan's hip, and that kiss over a year ago. They didn't talk about it. It was agony, sometimes, and since then they'd kissed a few more times: after a playoff game, when Finn got drafted- one memorable time not three days earlier, watching the sunset on the grass together. They'd laid and kissed on the grass on the hill they liked to drive to until it got dark, until they were interrupted by Alex calling Finn. When he'd ended the call, Logan was already waiting for him in the passenger seat, eyes down and cheeks flushed with embarrassment. They'd driven home in silence.

Finn knew he had to try and push one last time. “Logan. Logan, look at me.” When Logan looked up at him, a tear fell down his cheek. Finn reached across to wipe it with his thumb. “I want you.”

Logan immediately shook his head. “Non, Finn-”

“We're it, Lo, it says so on our skin!” Finn whisper-yelled. He didn't want to wake the rest of the house up. “Why are you denying yourself-”

“There's three.”

Finn stopped, his mouth hanging open. “What?”

“There's three,” Logan said again, more forcefully. He stood up and out of Finn’s reach, pulling down his waistband to reveal the marks. He placed his thumb over each of them individually. “Un, deux, trois.”

Finn shook his head. “That doesn't mean anything, they're the same.”

“Yes it does, Finn.” Logan sat back down and took a shaky breath. “Who do you know that has three? Who? Everyone else has two.”

Finn could feel his eyes getting wet. “No one. Lo-”

“It means there's someone else out there for you.” Logan's face was heartbroken, devastated. “Someone better for you.”

Finn's mouth fell open with a soft, sad cry. “No, Logan, don't say that.” He pushed his chair back and went to kneel at Logan's feet. He rested his hands on the back of Logan's calves and Logan's fingers came down to grasp at his hair. “You're perfect for me, you're everything. I want you.”

But Logan wasn't to be deterred. “But this is your dream. And it's my dream.” He looked at Finn so softly. “I can't take that away from you. From myself.”

Finn rested his forehead on Logan's thigh and breathed deeply. “I know.” He glanced up again and met Logan's green eyes. “But we’re supposed to be together. And- and maybe there is someone else, yes, for me, but also for you. They're the same mark, Logan.”

Logan nodded. “I know. Merde, I know.” To Finn's surprise, Logan leaned down and kissed him. “But our dream won't let us, Fish. It just won't.”

“So what?” Finn asked. “We just ignore it? Be lonely?”

Logan shook his head. “Non, you find them. You find them.”

Finn's eyes widened. “Logan-”

“Find them, Finn.” Logan's eyes were pleading. “Please. I just want you to be happy, please.”

Finn let out a breath and knelt up higher, dragging Logan down into a hug. He kissed the side of Logan's head. “I'll miss you every day.”

“I know.”

“I'm still going to call you.”

“I know.”

“You're still my best friend.”

“I know.” Logan turned his nose into Finn's hair. “You're mine. Allez, Gryffindor is waiting.”

And in one motion, Finn squeezed Logan tightly, stood, grabbed his backpack, and tore out of OKN. He looked back and saw Logan watching from the doorway. They looked at each other one last time before Finn opened his car door and put the keys in the ignition.

Winnipeg, April 2019

Logan laughed as Leo landed one last smack to his face with a pillow, falling back against the hotel bed. He'd started it, throwing a pillow at Leo as Leo showed him a thirst trap someone had made of Logan that he'd come across. They'd been scrolling through Instagram side by side. Logan had groaned, taking one of the throw pillows from his own bed and throwing it across to Leo's, smacking him in the chest. Leo had just raised his eyebrows, stood, and used his own pillow to smack back. From there it had been an all out war on Logan's bed as they tried to best each other.

“Merde,” Logan panted from his spot against the mattress. “Allez, allez, you win, fuck.”

Leo sat back against his heels, satisfied. “Just because I don't have siblings doesn't mean I just take it, Tremblay.”

“That's obvious,” Logan grunted, propping himself up on his elbows. “Mon Dieu, you've got a fucking arm.”

Leo laughed, standing to go and gather his pillows, setting them neatly on his own bed. “Merci.”

Logan hummed sleepily. Leo glanced back to see he had his eyes closed. Logan had a small smile on his face, too, starfished on the bed, tired from their victory against the Jets. He was just in his boxers and a sweatshirt, the hem riding up to display his lean body. In the scuffle, his underwear had slid down, displaying the top of his fleur-de-lis tattoo on his left hip, and on his right-

Leo had to cover his mouth and bite his finger to hold himself back from making a sound. A sun, a fleur-de-lis, and a fish. Leo's head was reeling as he climbed into his bed.

Logan opened one eye to look at him. “Ça va?”

“Mhm.” Leo pushed a hand through his hair, then realized it was shaking and hid it beneath the covers. “Just tired.”

“Non,” Logan said. He turned on his side, his boxers riding down lower, and reached across to press a hand to Leo's shoulder. His touch burned. “Non, Leo, what's wrong?”

Leo just stared at his hand, then glanced briefly at the marks. Logan's eyes followed his and he flushed. Leo shook his head. “I'm sorry.”

Logan sighed. “Non. Non, it's okay.” He laid back on his own bed and looked at Leo softly. “Do you ever…”

Leo stared back, biting his lip. “Do I ever…?”

Logan let out another sigh and closed his eyes, as if it was too much. He spoke in French. “Do you ever feel like everything you want is right in front of you, and yet you miss it anyways?”

Leo ran his eyes up and down Logan's strong body. This couldn't be happening. “All the time.”

Logan opened his eyes again. “What do I do?”

Leo snuggled further underneath the covers. “I think- I think you have to care about it enough. Whatever that may be.”

“Even if I have to let it go?”

Leo ducked his nose into his sweatshirt neckline. “Yeah. Yeah, even to let it go.” He breathed deeply. He needed Logan to understand. “But sometimes you shouldn't. Sometimes you should take it.”

“Ouais?”

“Ouais.”

Logan looked at him. “Have you let it go?”

Leo could feel tears welling up in his eyes. “I don't have it.”

That made Logan's eyes go sad. Despite it, he smiled. “You deserve it, Leo.” He cocked his head. “I'm happy you're here.”

“Thank you,” Leo said shakily. “Thank you, Lo.”

Logan nodded, then reached up to turn off the light. “Bonne nuit, peanut.”

“Night.”

In the darkness, Leo finally let the silent tears fall.

Las Vegas, NV, October 2019

“Nut!”

Leo reached up above Finn's head to grasp the small ball tossed from Remus, jumping out of the pool to dunk it in the small hoop. The hotel pool in Vegas was a team favorite, and James had discreetly packed a portable pool hoop to bring with them this time. Their matinee game had been rough and physical, but Remus had his first NHL goal and Leo had a shutout, so the energy was wild and fierce. Coach had told them, exasperated, to go work their energy out before bed, which had James grinning widely. He'd instructed them to go to the pool, scurrying away to go find the box he'd stowed away in his luggage. Now, Leo was reconsidering his NHL career. Maybe the NBA would take him.

“Fuck off!” Sirius shouted. “That's not fair!”

Remus jumped on his back, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “You're such a baby.”

Sirius just leaned back to dip him then let go. He and James were both red-faced and frustrated they were losing so badly.

“Seriously, Knut, what the hell is up with those octopus arms?”

Leo turned to find Finn looking at him, his lean, freckled chest on display. Leo swallowed, trying to get a grip. “I can't help it.”

“I'm a fan,” Logan chimed in. His green eyes and smile made Leo warm all over. “If it makes you lose, Fish.”

Finn rolled his eyes and splashed water over Logan's face. Logan spluttered and Finn laughed before turning to Leo. He was smiling. Leo realized what was about to happen. “No, no, I just washed my-”

But it was too late. Finn cupped his hands and threw water over Leo's head. Leo blinked hard and squinted through the chlorine. Logan was talking in fast French as he and Finn splashed each other. “Leo, allez!”

Leo laughed, running his hand across the water to get it in Finn's face. Finn gasped, staring at him incredulously. “Oh, it is so on, Nut.”

He lunged, trying to get his hands on Leo's shoulders and dunk him. Leo leaned back, trying to push him off, but slipped on the pool's slippery bottom. He and Finn both fell, chest to chest. Leo felt the water proof bandage Finn used to cover his mark as he scrambled for purchase, Finn's hands still on his shoulders. He kicked hard, breaking through the surface with a gasp, using both hands to push his hair back. He needed to pull himself together.

“You okay?”

Leo opened his eyes to find Logan and Finn smiling at him softly. They looked so gorgeous that Leo had to take a deep breath. “Yeah. Water's just heavy in my hair.”

“Why don't you cut it?” Finn asked.

Leo shrugged, his heart rate picking up. “Don't know,” he fibbed.

Logan tilted his head. “It looks nice pushed back.”

“Yeah,” Finn said. “I like it like that. You usually don't wash your hair in the team showers.”

Leo bit his lip. “Too much work. Don't feel like bringing my creams and stuff.”

Logan scrunched his nose around a laugh. “You're probably the only hockey player with a haircare routine.”

Leo flushed. “I like my curls.”

“They're very nice,” Finn said. Alarms went off in Leo's body as he approached. He touched the side of Leo's hair. “You know, I think it'd look nice if you cut it a little on the-”

He stopped suddenly. Leo could feel himself breathing hard. Finn's fingers were brushing right by where he knew his soul mark was now definitely visible, the hair pushed out of the way and transparent enough to allow it to be seen. Finn's eyes were wide and his mouth hung open slightly.

Leo grit his teeth. “Finn…”

But Finn just looked up at him, their eyes meeting. Leo stepped back and Finn's hand fell. He backed away towards the steps.

“Finn?” Logan asked, looking worriedly between them. “What's going on?”

Leo didn't wait for Finn's response. He grabbed his towel and room key and jogged out the door.

***

Finn watched as Leo ran away, flip flops slapping against the bottoms of his wet feet. His head was reeling.

“Finn? Finn, allez, what's wrong?” Logan appeared in his line of sight and grabbed his shoulders. “Fish.”

Finn blinked, shaking his head. “Shit.” He looked to Logan, then at the door through which Leo had disappeared. “Shit, shit, shit.”

He ran out of the pool and grabbed his towel, some of the guys yelling questions. He could hear Logan behind him as he ran through the door.

“Finn, what the hell-”

Finn turned and faced him frantically in the hallway. “Where is your room?”

Logan looked confused. “170B. Fish, what-”

“Leo has the mark. Behind his ear.”

Logan stared at him for a moment before his face paled. “Non.”

Finn nodded. “Yeah. Yeah, fuck, we-” He pressed his hands over his eyes. “We have to find him.”

Logan looked hesitant, shrinking into himself. “Finn…”

Finn let out a frustrated noise and backed Logan into the nearest wall, just beside a supply closet. His voice was shaky. “No, no, you don't get to do this! You don't get to ignore it, or push me away, or tell me to go off and be with him, because it's us, Logan. He has the three marks, it's the three of us.” Logan's eyes were wide and vulnerable. Finn pressed their foreheads together. “I thought I was going crazy when I first started wanting him, because I still wanted you with everything I am. I love him, and I love you, and I will not let you take this away from me.”

Logan's breathing was quick. When Finn pulled back slightly, he saw that Logan's eyes were teary. “You love me?”

Finn nodded. “I do. God, I've been in love with you from the moment you walked into that shitty house your freshman year.”

Logan pressed his lips together. His hand came to cup the back of Finn's head. “I love you, too. I love you.” His green eyes fitted across Finn's face for a moment, searching. Then, to Finn's amazement and delight, he kissed him.

Finn felt like he could barely breathe, or maybe like he was breathing for the first time. Logan was so soft against him, needy and panting. His lips were working frantically against Finn's own, that fire that was always beneath his skin bubbling to the surface. Finn cupped his jaw firmly, slowing them down with deep presses of his mouth and tongue. Logan shuddered and melted into the wall behind him. It felt like his body was overheating under Finn's hands. With a few more soft kisses, Finn pulled away, albeit reluctantly. Logan's eyes were still closed.

“I love you,” Finn whispered. “And it's okay. It's okay now.”

Logan nodded, opening his eyes slowly. “Ouais, it is. I thought-” He took a shaky breath and Finn kissed his cheek. “I thought I couldn't want this. But now Sirius and Remus, and- and you and I were drafted to the same team, that can't be a coincidence. And Leo-” Logan let out a soft sound, forehead dropping onto Finn's shoulder. “I love him. I love him, and I love you, and I'm tired of not taking what I want when it's right in front of me.”

Finn's breath hitched at his words, heart beating as fast as it had the first time he'd seen Logan's mark. He stepped back and grabbed firmly onto Logan's shoulders. “You mean you…”

Logan smiled and nodded. “I want you. I want you both.”

Finn let out a teary laugh and kissed Logan hard. They were smiling against each other's mouths, light and happy and in love, Finn realized. They might have kept kissing forever had Logan not pulled away roughly. “Leo.”

Finn jerked his head up. “Shit. Shit, you're right.” He took Logan's hand and laced their fingers. “Let's go.”

They ran to the nearest stairwell and bounded up to the next floor. Logan's hands were shaking as he scanned the room key, grabbing the handle and shoving the door open roughly. “Leo?” he called.

Finn came in after him, looking around frantically. He poked his head in the bathroom. “Leo?”

When he came out, Logan was standing still and looking at the ground. Leo's suitcase was thrown open, his wet swimsuit on the floor. Clothes were disorganized inside it, which was so unlike him. He must have grabbed some and ran. Beside it was his room key. Logan knelt down briefly and picked it up. He looked at Finn. “Fish.”

Finn leaned in and hugged him. He felt the first of Logan's soft, hitching breaths underneath his hands. “Baby…”

“He's not here.” Logan was shaking. “He's not here, and we love him.”

“Okay,” Finn said. He pulled away and gripped Logan's hips. “He's probably still here somewhere, he's just really freaked out.”

“We have to find him.”

“I know.” Finn wiped Logan's cheeks and kissed his forehead. “Let's get changed first, okay? Then we go find Leo.”

“Soleil,” Logan said.

Finn looked down at him. “What?”

Logan closed his eyes and a tear slipped out. “What I will call him. Soleil. Sun.” He opened his eyes and leaned into Finn's chest. “He’s like sunshine.”

Finn nodded. “He is.” He brushed Logan's hair back from his face. “And what am I?”

Logan reached up to run a hand through Finn’s damp hair. “Rouge. Red.”

Finn kissed him.

***

Logan watched as Finn pulled on one of his high school sweatshirts and a pair of sweatpants. The sweatshirt was a little short on him, the sleeves not quite reaching his wrists, but he looked so soft and cosy in Logan's clothes that Logan could only go up and kiss him.

Finn kneaded the skin of his back, just above where he'd put some shorts on. “Go put a shirt on, baby, then we'll go find Le.”

Logan nodded, kissing Finn once more before making his way towards his own suitcase. He had a sweater in there, one from France, but it wasn't as bulky and cosy. He needed something to swallow him, to settle the aching feeling in his chest.

He looked to Leo's suitcase. He always traveled with two sweatshirts: a Lions one for the locker room and cameras, and then one from home for the hotel room. He must've grabbed the Lions one in his rush, because the one left in his suitcase was purple and had the name of an ice cream parlor. Logan assumed it was the one he and his dad visited after Leo had a good game in high school. Finn saw him looking and put a hand on his back. “I don't think he'll mind.”

Logan nodded, kissing Finn's shoulder before kneeling and picking up the sweatshirt. He pulled it over his head. It was thick and soft and reached down to his thighs. It smelled like Leo's cologne. Logan turned his nose into the neckline and breathed in the scent.

Finn kissed the side of his head, lingering and gentle. “I've got the room key. Let's go get our sunshine.”

***

Leo squeezed his knees closer to himself in the cold hallway. He didn't know which floor he was on, one of the top ones. The hallway had ended in a T, with no rooms on either side, just big windows with a nice view of the city.

Leo sat against the opposite wall, gazing at the lights below him. He imagined he could hear and see people laughing, friends dancing, couples kissing. He wondered if there was anyone else like him, but happier; someone who was in love with two people, but actually had them. He could imagine dancing like that with Finn and Logan: Finn at his back, his chin on Leo's shoulder, arms around Leo's waist; Logan against Leo's chest, smiling up at him, his hands resting on the back of Leo's neck, maybe one in his hair. He closed his eyes as a sharp pain ran through his chest. He felt a tear escape.

“Fuck,” he whispered. He pressed the heels of his palms to his eyes. “Oh, fuck.”

How could he have been so careless, so stupid? He thought of Finn's horrified face and the fact that Logan definitely knew by now. If they hadn't confessed their feelings to one another, they certainly had after that display, and Leo would never forgive himself if he was the cause of such an emotional and difficult conversation. Coming out was hard enough on its own, but coming out to your best friend? The one you were in love with? Leo could barely imagine that talk they were probably still having without feeling a weight settle in his gut. He'd caused that. And now he was making their lives more difficult, and the whole team saw them run out, and Leo didn't know what to do. He really didn't know what to do.

He sat there shaking for he didn't know how long, blankly staring at the lights of the city. It was almost calming; peaceful, even, save for the rapid rhythm of his beating heart. He pressed a hand to his chest and closed his eyes.

Suddenly, behind him, he heard some frantic whispers.

“I don't know, Lo, we've looked everywhere.”

“Cherchez-en devantage, encore une fois.”

“I don't speak French.”

“Look again.”

“I'm trying!”

Leo clenched his teeth, eyes widening. He quickly but quietly shuffled his way to the corner, trying to remain out of sight, but he knew he was a sitting duck. He only hoped they gave up before they found him.

What would he even say if they did? I'm in love with you, but you're in love with each other. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I'll leave you be.

No, he couldn't do that. He wasn't strong enough to do that, to let them go completely, nor to ruin a friendship like that that was so intertwined with love and lust and laughter and life- a friendship that had bones, that had history. Leo bit his lip once again at the tears that threatened to claim his vision.

“Le?”

Leo sighed heavily and turned his head. When he opened his eyes, he found Finn and Logan looking at him carefully. Their hands were intertwined.

“Hi,” he said. His voice was rough, even to his own ears. “Hi.”

He saw Logan squeeze Finn's hand and let go. He came to sit beside Leo, criss-crossed and facing him. He was wearing Leo's sweatshirt. If this ended poorly, Leo didn't know if he'd want Logan to keep it or to keep it himself and smell Logan's scent guiltily every time he wore it. He looked so cozy.

“Ça va?”

Leo just blinked at him. Logan sighed, dropping his head down to look at his fingers, which he was twiddling in his lap.

Finn came to sit across from them both, back against the window. His eyes were soft. “How long have you known?”

Leo shrugged. He looked out past Finn's shoulder at the city lights. “Since you came home from that run. In the freezing rain, and I had to undress you and put you in the shower.”

“Quoi?” Logan asked.

Finn's cheeks were flushed. “You and I were supposed to go to lunch. But you went home with a girl from the bar the night before and then I didn't hear from you the next day.” He shrugged. “I needed to think, so I ran. It was cold and wet.”

Logan looked at him so sadly it was breaking Leo's heart. “Rouge…”

Leo's stomach jolted. A nickname. A sweet one. Red. So they'd obviously figured themselves out.

Finn nudged Logan's thigh with his socked foot. He was wearing Logan's sweatshirt and sweatpants, Leo realized. “It doesn't matter now.” He looked to Leo. “And Logan's? How'd you find out?”

Leo turned back to look out the window. He smiled sadly. “We had a pillow fight in our hotel room. Logan's boxers slid down and his sweatshirt rode up, and, well…” He looked to Finn. “He asked if I knew if what I wanted was right in front of me, but if I still missed it.” He bit his lip as his eyes watered. “That's when I knew he was in love with you.”

Finn was looking with wide eyes at Logan, who was in turn looking intently at Leo. “You knew?”

Leo sniffled. “Of course I knew. Y'all think you're discreet, but you're not.”

Finn nudged him with his toe. “So if you knew, why didn't you say anything? About you.”

“I couldn't do that to you,” Leo said. He put his hands over his eyes. “Fuck, I couldn't do that to you. Your love radiates off of you, and I just figured- I just figured I was the universe's backup. If you didn't get together, one of you would find me.”

“Quoi?” Logan asked. “Leo.”

Leo groaned and buried his face in his knees. “Not everyone ends up with their soul mate. My grandma's died when they were teenagers, and my grandpa didn't have one. But they loved each other, and were happy, and I-” He felt his throat closing up. “I had to care about you enough to let you go.”

He heard Logan take in a sharp breath beside him. “Non. Non, Leo.” He knelt up and wrapped an arm around Leo's upper back, pressing his forehead to the back of Leo's curls. “Leo, non. Non, it doesn't have to be like that.”

“I told you it can be, Lo,” Leo said. “That night. With the pillow fight. You're supposed to be with Finn, and I'm supposed to let you go.”

“You are not supposed to do anything like that, Leo.” Finn's voice was thick with tears. “Why would you say that?”

Leo sat up. Logan shifted back, but their thighs were still pressed together. “I didn't want to wreck you. You have history, years of it, and I owed it to you to let you figure out your feelings on your own time.” He looked between them. “Everyone deserves that. I'm sorry if I forced you to do that today.”

They both softened at that and looked at each other briefly. Finn shifted over to the side to be more squarely in front of Leo. He leaned forward and took Leo's hands in his own. They were shaking. “We already knew.”

Leo sat up straighter. “What?”

Logan rested his chin on Leo's shoulder, hand rubbing at his lower back. “Ouais, we figured it out years ago. We just hadn't met you yet.”

At Leo's still-confused look, Finn began to speak again. “It was after Logan scored a hatty in the Beanpot Semis, my junior year. We won, and he stayed late for interviews.”

“Ouais,” Logan said. “Nobody was there, in the locker room, so I took my covering off to go shower.” He let out a laugh. “Finn walked in and saw my mark.”

Leo hummed. “And what happened?”

Finn smiled. “I freaked out, Logan followed me to the locker room. Long story short, I showed him mine, we kissed, we got interrupted. We kissed a few more times before I left. We didn't talk about it, not until the day I came to Gryff. But we knew.”

“What we couldn't figure out,” Logan said. “Was you.” He sighed heavily. “Fish tried to talk to me, the day he left. But I told him to look for whoever else was for him- for us. Someone who deserved him.”

Leo touched their temples together. “But you do.”

He could feel Logan’s smile. “Ouais, I know that now.” He shifted, wrapping his arm fully around Leo’s waist. “But I didn't know how to make how I felt work with hockey. With our dream.”

“What changed?”

“You did, sunshine.”

Leo looked at Finn. He let out a surprised laugh. “What?”

Finn smiled at him. “Sunshine. It's what we’re calling you.”

“Soleil,” Logan corrected.

“Well I'm not French, am I?”

“Neither am I! Canada's different.”

Finn rolled his eyes playfully. “Anyways.” He reached out to pluck at one of Leo’s curls. “You came along and made us realize that avoiding what we desired was silly. And that there was so much more to want. To love.”

Leo closed his eyes briefly in a slow blink. His heart was pounding.“Really?”

“Ouais, soleil,” Logan whispered. “It’s because of you.”

Leo nodded. “And are you okay? You figured yourselves out?”

Finn laughed. “Yeah, literally, like, a half hour ago. We kissed, we talked a bit, whatever.” He brought Leo’s hands to his mouth and kissed them. “But then we came looking for you.”

Leo felt his heart kick. “You did?”

“Don't be surprised,” Logan said. “We want you. We love you.” He touched just behind Leo’s ear. “You’re ours. Our soul mate.”

Finn reached one hand out to brush Leo’s jaw. “Do you want that, sunshine?”

Leo closed his eyes again. He felt the heat of their bodies beside him, the softness of their skin. Logan’s nose was pressed to his jaw, obviously impatiently waiting, and Finn’s thumb was tracing soft patterns on his skin. They were handsome, and kind, and good- and Leo was so in love with them.

“Yeah,” he said. He opened his eyes and caught Finn’s gaze. “I do.”

“Leo,” Logan whispered beside him. He nudged at Leo’s cheek, obviously asking. “Leo, je t’aime.”

Leo smiled and turned into him. “I love you.” And then Logan was kissing him.

It was the most gentle kiss Leo had ever received. Logan’s lips were warm and soft, softer than anything Leo had touched, and he kissed like he moved through life: a fierce, focused intensity that burned Leo up from the inside. He started out slow, then peaked with faster, deeper, rougher presses, his hand coming up to grip Leo’s hair, then settled again when Leo rubbed his hip, right over the soul mark. Logan fell against his chest a little. When Leo pulled away, Logan let himself go completely, his head resting on Leo’s shoulder, eyes closed. He looked like he was about to fall asleep.

Finn was looking them both up and down. His pupils were a little blown. When he caught Leo watching, he smiled. “I would like to record that and put it on a loop to watch forever, please and thank you.”

Leo laughed a little, felt Logan do the same, before he slouched back against the wall. Logan was gripping the fabric of his Lions sweatshirt lightly in between his fingers. They both looked at Finn softly as he got himself onto his knees and leaned forward with a smile.

“I love you,” Finn whispered.

Leo could count each one of his freckles. “I love you, too.”

Finn kissed like he moved through life, too, but it was different than Logan. Finn was motivated by a goal, directing Leo into exactly what he wanted, somehow. He gripped Leo’s jaw gently and firmly at the same time, Leo helpless to do anything but accept what he was given. Leo sighed heavily. Finn kissed him deeper still, and Logan began to kiss up Leo’s neck and jaw. Leo whined, pulling back to catch his breath. “Fuck.”

Finn raised his eyebrows. “Maybe later.”

Leo laughed and rested his head against the wall behind him. “No, our first time will not be in a hotel. I still smell like chlorine.”

Finn let out a huff through his nose. “Then when will it be? I've gotta mark my calendar, clear my schedule.”

Leo bit his lip around a grin. “In your bed. If you want.”

Finn sucked in a breath. His ears were bright red, and Logan reached up to thumb the shell of one. “Oh, I so want.”

“Ouais,” Logan said. He pulled Finn down into a kiss. Leo loved how they looked together. “But now we sleep.”

“Where?” Leo asked.

Logan hummed. “My bed. It's the closest to the door.”

Leo snorted. “Not by much, sweetheart.”

Logan just sighed happily again and snuggled further into Leo’s body. Leo kissed the top of his head. Finn was looking at them both fondly.

“So,” he said. “Does this mean we’re in love? We’re doing this?”

Leo smiled at him and nodded. “Yeah. Yeah, we’re doing this.”

Finn’s expression was nothing short of elated. “Fuck yes.” He leaned down to kiss them both hard. “Best day ever.”

Leo and Logan both laughed. Leo held out a hand. “Help us up, O’Hara.”

Finn grasped onto each of their hands, pulling them from the floor and towards him. When they stood, Leo tried to walk down the hallway, but Finn tugged him back. “Wait.” His eyes, when they met Leo's, were serious. “I just want you to know how much we want this, Le. You aren't some- some ‘third’ in a relationship already involving the two of us. You're not a second choice.”

Logan nodded, stepping into Leo's space. “Ouais, mon coeur. We're equal- all of us, or nothing.”

Leo took them both in for a second. Finn, with his gentleness and his heart on his sleeve; Logan, with his firm, yet loving, touches and the obvious desire and want that was constantly simmering under his skin. They were looking at Leo like he was everything. Leo didn't know what to do with that quite yet, but he figured telling them how he felt was as good a start as any.

“I want you, too,” he said. He cleared his throat. “When I- when I said I was letting you go, it wasn't because I didn't love you. Or because I didn't want you. I just… I thought loving you would cause you more pain when you were obviously already hurting for each other.”

Logan shook his head firmly. “Non.” He leaned up and kissed Leo. “Non, we love each other because we love you.”

Finn nodded, kissing the back of Leo's hand. “You helped us find you and each other, baby. No take backs, okay?”

Leo nodded, smiling with a blush. “Okay.” He stepped forward a bit to bring them closer together. Logan rested his head on Leo's collarbone, and Leo touched his and Finn's temples together. “Let's go to bed.”

Finn nodded. “Mhm. Sleepy time.” He kissed Leo quickly, then ducked to kiss Logan's cheek. “But mark your calendars. My mattress, as soon as that plane lands tomorrow.”

Leo laughed, and Logan made a happy sound into the fabric of his sweatshirt. “Sure thing Harz,” Leo said. “I'll rearrange my schedule.”

“You fucking better. C'mon, let's go.”

They walked back to the room, Finn holding each of their hands tightly even in the stairwell, which was a little logistically difficult, but they managed. They each took turns showering to get the chlorine off, Finn swiping Logan's toothbrush with a smirk. Logan just rolled his eyes and kissed him.

Leo came back from his shower to find them both huddled in Logan's hotel bed. Logan still had Leo's sweatshirt on with the hood pulled up, his hair fluffing out in the front as he laughed at something Finn said. Finn was straddling Logan's thighs and talking about something- what, Leo didn't know. Finn talked a lot.

When they heard him come through the doorway, they both looked at him and smiled widely. Finn swung his leg over Logan's hips to settle on the bed. He patted the space in between them. “C'mere, sunshine baby.”

Leo knelt on the end of the mattress and crawled to them. “Is that my new name?”

Finn nodded excitedly. “Among others. I'm workshopping a few. How do you feel about lovernut?”

Leo laughed as he settled onto his back. “Whatever you want, honey.”

Finn smiled at the pet name and leaned in to press kisses to Leo's cheeks. “You're so sweet.”

“Oui,” Logan agreed. He grunted and rolled over to flop on top of Leo with a content sigh.

Finn tapped his butt hard. “I knew you'd be a koala, you youngest-of-four baby.”

Logan just peeked out at him. “Should I not?”

“No,” Leo said. He kissed Logan's curls. “Wherever you want to sleep, sweetheart, it's okay.”

Logan bit his lip innocently and continued to roll- right in between the two of them. He pressed his nose into Leo's neck. “Mm, c'est chaud ici.”

Finn scoffed. “I thought Leo was in the middle.”

Logan just reached back for Finn's arm. “Ici, rouge.”

Finn melted a little bit. “Fine. Fine, but we have to take turns, okay? Gotta try out all the positions.”

Leo laughed. He reached across Logan's body to brush Finn's hair out of his face. “You just can't help yourself, can you?”

Finn kissed his palm. “No. I'm telling you, it's all I'm going to be thinking about.” He settled down, throwing an arm and a leg across their bodies. “I love you.”

Leo smiled. “I love you.”

“Sleep.”

Finn bit at Logan's jaw. “Say it back, you grump.”

Leo felt Logan's smile against the skin of his neck. Logan kissed his soul mark. “I love you,” he whispered. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”

Sometimes long distance is about the little things. And sometimes it's about the big things. But it's ALWAYS about showing up in any way you can when your partners, or partner, need you. Have some angsty, fluffy, and in-love long-distance boys. All credits to @lumosinlove :)

Leo had had a bad day, and just needed something to make him feel better. Actually, it had been a bad week, or two, if he was being honest with himself. The days were short, in December, and every day he woke up to darkness and left the rink looking at the stars. Logan loved it, the cold, the obscurity, the significant lack of thunderstorms- but Logan was in New York, not here where Leo and Finn wanted him. They had barely been able to fit in a visit two weeks ago during the Thanksgiving holidays, and they wouldn’t get a chance before Christmas, which would still only be for a few days. They had played the Rangers in October and weren’t playing them again until mid-February, and it was in these cold moments, especially, that Leo felt Logan’s absence acutely, that he missed his New Orleans house more and more with each passing day of snow and little light.

He was standing at the stove, making some butternut squash soup. Not exactly on the preapproved meal plan, and it definitely didn’t have enough protein for professional athletes, but it was warm and aromatic, and he had just put some homemade sourdough bread in the oven to bake for the second time out of its Dutch oven. He had scored it with a little design, the classic line down the middle and the leaf pattern, but also with three little birds, like sketched seagulls, in the top left corner. Leo guessed that his longing even translated into his cooking.

Finn came out of the bedroom just then, walking to the door to put his shoes on. He always looked so good in the winter, with his long buttoned coats and dark pants, boots, scarf, and beanie. More often than not, too, he wore his glasses in the winter. He looked so cozy, and so gorgeous all the time it was sometimes difficult for Logan and Leo to concentrate when they went out into the city together. Now, he was also bearing a little bit of winter scruff, just a day or so worth, and if Leo hadn’t been so tired and sad, he would have asked him to dance in the kitchen just to be close to him for a little while under the soft lights.

Patting his pockets for his belongings, Finn looked up at him. “I’m going to the pharmacy, sunshine, gotta pick up some more tape for my thigh. Can’t go running without it, Layla said, after last game’s strain.” He walked over, putting his arms around Leo’s waist. “Need anything while I’m out, baby?

Leo just shook his head, biting his lip and looking to the soup he was stirring on the stove.

Finn looked at him with a furrowed brow. His voice was hesitant but gentle when he spoke. “Peanut, what’s wrong? You’ve been… upset lately.”

Leo lifted his gaze as Finn reached a hand to cup his neck. “Just sad, I guess. It’s dark, and it’s cold, and I miss my parent’s house, and I… I really miss Logan.”

Finn’s shoulders sagged and he looked at Leo sympathetically. “I know, baby. God, I know it’s hard.” He let out a sharp breath. “And I know it doesn’t help to say that we’ll see him in a few weeks when he’s not waking up in our bed every other day.” He kissed Leo. “How about you finish your soup, yeah? Lo said he has a late practice, but we can call him after and cuddle in bed. I’ll read to you both, how does that sound?”

Leo nodded, trying to be strong, but his voice came out small. “Yeah. Yeah, okay.”

Finn just drew him in. “Oh, baby.” He kissed Leo’s forehead firmly. “You want me to stay? I don’t have to go to the pharmacy, I can go without running tomorrow.”

Leo shook his head. “No, no, go. I’ll be okay for a bit. Just…” Leo glanced down at him. “Hurry back?”

Finn nodded and kissed him firmly, then softly, holding Leo there by his cheeks. “I love you, Le, baby. So does Lo.”

“Love you,” Leo said. “I love you.”

With one last kiss, Finn pulled away and opened the door. As he closed it behind him, he kissed his fingers and flashed them at Leo. Leo felt his mouth tug to the side, but as soon as the click of the lock sounded, he sighed and turned back his soup. The timer went off for the bread, and after determining the crust good enough, he put it on a rack to cool for a bit before he would slice it and toast it for their dinner. Then, he set about cleaning up what he could of the kitchen before Finn got home, turning on the kettle to make a cup of tea.

As he stood at the counter, closer to the residual warmth of the slowly cooling stove, sipping his mint tea, his eye caught on the picture frames by the door. The largest was of them in the locker room after the Stanley Cup win with the Lions, Finn kissing Leo’s cheek as Logan and Leo looked at each other. Logan had his arms wrapped around Leo’s waist, backwards champion hat on his head keeping his long hair out of his face. He was smiling so widely at Leo, having said something to make Leo blush and Finn coo, leaning in to wetly press his lips Leo’s skin just as someone had clicked the camera. Leo remembered feeling invincible in that moment. He had proven himself, his first NHL season, but more than that he was so high on being in love with his two boys that it had overshadowed their Cup victory. He knew he wouldn’t have felt that happy to win if Logan and Finn hadn’t been right beside him.

Below that photo, though, there was a newer one, taken on their most recent trip to Nice, to Logan’s mother’s childhood home that she shared with her brother. It was of the three of them on the beach. Thomas and Noelle had been staying at the same time, and had suggested going down to the ocean for sunset in the boiling French evening. Never one to turn down the opportunity to see his boys by the water, Logan had gifted them new swimsuits with a sly little grin on his face. They had been almost two small to wear in public, Leo had thought, but Thomas had taken one look at the three of them, wolf whistled, said something about inseam length, and that had sealed their fate.

They had gone to the beach in their new swimsuits, definitely drawing eyes. One particular group of girls had really gotten along with Finn, which had definitely made Logan prickly; but what had actually made him snap was a tall, dark, and handsome French man coming to flirt with Leo while he and Finn had been reading on their towels. Logan, having just gotten back with Noelle and Thomas from finding some fruity, alcoholic drink, had seen the man looking Leo’s sun-tanned body up and down and immediately given his drink to Thomas to hold. Rushing over, he gave the man a glare and plopped himself right down on Leo’s lap, grabbing his shoulders and kissing him deeply. When he pulled away after an indecent amount of time, the man was gone and Finn was laughing beside them. Logan had just scowled, pulling him in to be kissed hard as well.

In that moment, Leo had watched them, in the light that was just beginning to set over the Mediterranean, and thought how he had probably seen nothing more beautiful. Finn had pulled away laughing, pinching Logan’s side and making him smirk, then smile sheepishly with a blush. With a shout from Noelle, they’d all turned, Logan moving slightly sideways in Leo’s lap and Finn’s head resting on Leo’s shoulder, to smile for the camera. That was the last time Leo had remembered feeling truly warm before coming back to not only play ice hockey again, but to see Logan off to New York for another season.

He didn’t know how much time he had spent staring at the photographs, but his tea had gone cold in his hands. Sighing, he put the kettle on to boil more water, even if only to pour into a mug to hold. He checked his watch. Finn had been gone for a long time, longer than a trip to the pharmacy required. He tapped at his phone screen, but there were no new messages. He supposed Finn had just gone to another store, maybe to get some more dirt for their windowsill garden. They were running out of soil.

Just as he was pouring his second mug of tea, the sound of keys scratching at the door reverberated through the apartment. Leo closed his eyes and sighed, grateful for the time alone, but desperately wanting to collapse into Finn’s arms. He would understand the ache Leo felt in Logan’s absence more than anyone.

He was just finishing adding honey to his tea, about to turn to the stove again to heat up the soup for dinner, when footsteps echoed as they walked through the door.

“Bonjour, soleil.”

Leo’s head snapped up. There, standing in front of him, was Logan, smiling widely. He had one of his hand’s laced with Finn’s, who was also grinning at Leo and carrying Logan’s bag, and was dressed in one of Leo’s sweatshirts and Adidas pants. He looked a bit tired, a Rangers hat on his head to tame what were undoubtedly his wild mid-season waves. Leo thought he’d never looked more gorgeous, waiting for him with Finn in the light of their apartment. “Oh.”

Logan took a step forward, and that was all it took for Leo to meet him the rest of the way, arms wrapping hard around his waist to lift him up. Logan’s legs were clutching his hips hard, arms encircling his neck and hands cradling the back of his head. When Leo had regained some of his sense he realized he was crying, making the edge of Logan’s sweatshirt- his sweatshirt- wet and salty. He knocked Logan’s hat off of his hat, hearing it hit the floor, and threaded one hand through his hair, the other underneath his thigh. Finn had come up and put a hand on each of their backs. “Surprise, nutter butter.”

Leo inhaled Logan’s scent and leaned back. “I mean- how… you had practice? And your car, did you drive here? The snow, Lo, you guys just got quite a bit the other day-”

Logan just shook his head, smiling at him. He tugged Leo’s hair a little to bring their mouths together, and Leo instantly relaxed. The tension left his body, and he let Logan’s fire, always bubbling, completely consume him for a few moments. Logan was warm, Finn’s hands on his back were warm, and he finally felt so warm he didn’t know what to do. His kisses grew desperate, trying to make up for lost time, and he felt Finn’s mouth on his shoulder, probably watching them together with his gorgeous brown eyes. Leo loved them endlessly.

Eventually, their kisses grew softer, Logan pulling away with a few more light pecks. “Oh, soleil, j’taime. I missed you, mon couer.”

“I- I missed you, too, sweetheart. I love you.” He jerked his head a little bit, mouth parting. “But how- what about practice?”

Finn laughed at Leo’s lingering confusion, and Logan just leaned in to kiss him again, smiling into it. “Non, no practice. I never had practice.” He looked up at Leo through his dark lashes. “And my car’s in for inspection, so I flew.” His eyes turned somber. “Finn said you’ve been sad.”

Leo looked at Finn, who was staring at him, maybe a little guiltily. Leo just kissed his forehead and then touch their temples together. “Yeah, yeah I’ve been sad. It’s just been-” He could feel himself starting to cry again. “It’s just been the cold, and the darkness, and missing my parent’s house, and- and missing you.” Leo took a shuddering breath in. “I really, really missed you sweetheart.”

Finn’s arm squeezed around his waist, and Logan made a small noise in the back of his throat and tightened his limbs around Leo's body. “Ouais, I missed you to, soleil. Missed you both.” He leaned towards Finn for a light kiss, then placed one on Leo’s mouth, too. “Finn told me, and I figured I could surprise you. We have a couple days off after our roadie, and I’d rather be here with you than in my apartment.” He looked up at him, green eyes searching. “Une bonne surprise?”

Leo smiled at him and closed his eyes as Logan leaned their foreheads together. “Ouais. The best.”

“Oo-ways.”

Logan and Leo laughed at Finn, Logan drawing him in for a few sloppy kisses. “Oh, mon rouge. Ton français est terrible.”

Finn winked, kissed him again, then kissed Leo firmly. “Happier now, peanut?”

Leo tiled his head, gazing at Finn’s eyes behind his glasses. “Yeah. Yeah, thank you. I love you.” He turned to Logan. “I love you both.”

Logan just hummed and laid his head on Leo’s shoulder for a brief moment before Leo squeezed his hip and moved to place him on the counter, parting with a kiss. Finn replaced Leo between Logan’s legs, his back to Logan’s chest and Logan’s arms around his waist, hands clasped in the front. It made Leo’s heart jolt to see them together like that again in their kitchen.

Logan peeked out at him over Finn’s shoulder. “What did you make?”

Leo smiled. “Butternut squash soup. I’ll toast the bread in the oven, too, I made sourdough. Even made a design, see?”

He picked up the loaf and showed it to them. Both Finn and Logan hovered their fingers over the crust, eyes going to the three birds. Finn looked up first, grinning. “Aw, you cut us into bread.”

“Scored, sweetheart.”

“I don’t know about bread scoring, but you can score tonight if you want, peanut.” Finn’s eyes sparkled, then his nose crinkled. “Butternut. You’re our very own butternut squash!”

Logan snorted quietly, pressing a burst of kisses to Finn’s neck. Finn just smiled sharply at Leo, who was shaking his head in fondness. “I try and do something sentimental, and this is what I get.” He kissed Finn’s cheek. “You’re all trouble.”

Finn just winked at him.

“I like them, soleil,” Logan interrupted, reaching out to bring Leo’s face to his to kiss him. “Les trois oiseaux.”

Leo smiled. “Oui.”

“You know, French is a lot sexier when you're saying it in my ear, I gotta say.”

Logan smacked Finn’s hip lightly and Leo leaned back, laughing. As he heated the oven up and sliced the bread, he couldn’t bring himself to slice through the three birds. He smiled down at them as he listened to Logan and Finn’s bickering, at the feel of Finn’s hands on his hips, Logan’s warm body at his side watching his hands work the knife. He would freeze that section, he decided, and take it out and toast it on another cold day.

Because today… today he was warm.

since you loved the first hogwarts au prompt, can i ask for more???? take your time ofc !!🤍

This is a little drabble I've had sitting in my drafts for a while now! It's in the same realm as the last Hogwarts one I did. If it's not what you're looking for, or if you have a different/more specific vision for a prompt, please please please write me another ask! I want to do your ideas justice. :)

Enjoy some long-distance Cubs in the mountains of beautiful Eryri!

TW: alluded to nefarious activities, but nothing explicit!

All credits to @lumosinlove :)

P.S.: I am making assumptions on the kinds of spells and magic stuff they have. It's been AGES since I read HP, because She Who Must Not Be Named is a TERF and we #donotlikeher, so I just took some liberty on the few times magic is explicitly referenced.

Logan took a satisfied breath in, feeling as his bare chest brushed Finn’s above him. The light shining through their bedroom window was as warm as the afterglow. He sighed, nudging his nose into Finn’s hair to breath in his scent. He smelled like a mix of himself, sweat- and Leo’s cologne, Logan realized. He must have sprayed some on himself before his apprenticeship that morning.

“Fuck,” Finn said with a laugh. He let go of Logan's wrists and wrapped him up. “Fuck, how is it always so good?”

Logan brought their mouths together sloppily again with a hum. “Je t'aime.”

Finn kissed him harder, turning them on their sides and relaxing into the mattress. They made out lazily, just feeling each other's skin, until Finn pulled back to press a kiss to his temple.

“I love you.” He tucked his face into Logan’s neck. “Cleaning charm or shower?”

Logan snorted. “Leo would want us to shower.”

Finn smiled into his skin. “Mm, yeah. He looks so good in the shower.”

“Ouais, so tall. Like a god.”

“Ugh, he's so sexy.” Finn rolled over to squish Logan into the mattress. “You're both so sexy. What am I supposed to do?”

Logan laughed. “You poor thing,” he mocked in Finn’s accent.

Finn huffed, giving Logan one more hard kiss before standing. He held out his hand. “Shower? Then we call Leo.”

Logan took it and followed Finn to the bathroom. Their Muggle flat in Derby was a bit old, and the pipes didn't always heat the water up fully, but Logan loved it more than he could say. Today, luckily, the water was nice and warm, and Logan reveled in getting to run his hand through Finn's thick, shampooed waves. He had been growing it out since October, and Leo and Logan couldn't get enough of it. Logan had watched as Leo stepped off the Hogwarts Express at Christmas with wide eyes, hands immediately carding through Finn's hair.

What's this, O'Hara?

Finn had smirked. What, you don't like it?

Leo had tugged at the strands, forcing Finn to look up and make a noise that was not appropriate for a train station. What do you think? Then he'd kissed Finn, then Logan, so hard that it made them dizzy.

Safe to say, sitting through dinner with Leo's parents that evening had been a monumental task.

“What’re you thinking about, baby?”

Logan shook out of his reverie. “You. Your hair. Leo.” Logan sighed, closing his eyes and imagining blond curls. “His hair.”

“He does have nice hair.”

“So do you.”

“So do you.” Finn threaded his fingers to scratch at Logan's scalp. “All dark and thick.” He kissed Logan's forehead. “It's getting curlier, now that it's longer.”

Logan hummed, leaning into Finn's body. “Wonder what Leo's hair looks like.”

Finn snorted. “You know what it looks like. We called him the other day.”

Logan grunted. “It's different in person.”

Finn sighed. “I know, baby. I know.” He leaned back. “Let’s finish here, then call him, yeah? He's probably almost done with his homework for the evening.”

Logan washed Finn's body reverently, taking time to massage his shoulders and upper back where he got sore. He was rewarded with soft kisses to his forehead, his collarbone, his cheek. Logan missed being at Hogwarts, missed being with his friends every day, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't also love this domestic bliss he lived in now. He loved not having to sneak into Finn or Leo's bed, he loved being able to bathe together like this. Most of all, he loved coming home to a place that was theirs, that they made together, that encompassed the bed, and the bathing, and everything else. He saw himself in the Quidditch magazines lying around the house, Finn in the books piled everywhere- even Leo, though he didn’t live there yet, with the perfectly knitted blanket from his farm in Wales that had a permanent residence on the couch.

Logan sighed, staring at that blanket while Finn made them both dinner (egg sandwiches, the way Leo taught them), sat at a stool by the counter with his evening tea. He stretched his legs, sore from practice, and turned to Finn. “Fish?”

Finn hummed, handing him a plate with his sandwich. “Yeah?”

“I miss him.”

Finn looked up at that, sandwich halfway to his mouth. “Le?”

“Ouais.” Logan sighed again, picking up his own sandwich. “It just doesn't feel like home.”

Finn furrowed his eyebrows. “What do you mean?”

Logan shrugged as he swallowed. “Je ne sais pas. It just- it is ours, and I love living here with you, and it is home. Home is with you.” Logan pursed his lips. “But it's also with Leo.”

Finn nodded in understanding. “I know. I know, baby, it doesn't- it's like it's home, but not a complete one.”

“Exactly,” Logan said. “It's not complete without both of you.”

Finn finished off his dinner, then came to wrap Logan in a hug. “Only a few more days until he comes home for Easter, then he graduates in May. Then he's all ours forever, okay, baby?”

“Mais, he is all ours. You're mine, too.”

Finn smiled into his hair. “Yes, we are all yours, you greedy thing.” He kissed Logan's head. “C'mon. I need a dose of sunshine.”

Leo picked up his two-way mirror on the first vibration they sent through. He looked tired, a little stressed, but his smile was wide when he saw them. “Hi, fy nghariadau. You okay?”

“Hi, love,” Finn said. He touched his thumb to the edge of the mirror. “We're alright. Just wanted to see your pretty face once more before you come home.”

Leo scrunched his nose at them. “You're sweet.”

“Non, you are.” Logan groaned, flopping onto Finn's chest. “Soleil, ici. Come back.”

That made Leo blush, his crystal blue eyes standing out against his red cheeks. “I'm trying, honey,” he said. “I've got to do one last thing for Potions, and-

“I hope this is an actual assignment and not some extra experiment that's going to get you blown up,” Finn interrupted with a raised eyebrow. “Because I prefer your whole body, not pieces of it.”

If possible, Leo turned even redder. “It is assigned, I'll have you know.”

“Get it done faster,” Logan said. “I miss you.”

“We.”

“Ouais, that's what I meant.”

Finn rolled his eyes fondly, but turned back to the mirror. “We are suffering from a sunshine deficiency.”

Leo, who was now distracted by something, presumably a book, just quirked an eyebrow. “A vitamin D deficiency? But it's spring now, go outside.”

Logan scoffed. “Non, soleil. Toi.”

Finn put a hand over Logan's head. “You, sunshine. We have a you deficiency.”

“Soleil, come back,” Logan whined again, frustrated. He patted the couch cushions hard. “Allez.”

Leo sighed, looking up from his book. He looked mildly irritated at having been interrupted, but he softened immediately upon seeing their faces. He spoke to Logan. “Oh, cariad, don’t look at me with those eyes.”

Finn laughed. He tapped Logan on the hip a few times. “Don't make him feel guilty for studying.”

“But it keeps him away from us.”

Leo scoffed and waved a piece of parchment at them. “Not everyone can just get by on muscles and Quidditch skills for their career, Lo.”

“Ouais, you could.”

“Yeah, Le, I already told you. Best Keeper Ravenclaw has seen.”

Leo pointed his finger at him. “And I told you that you're biased.” He straightened his posture. “Now, I've got to write six more inches of this Arithmancy essay. I love you, I love your voices, now be my soundtrack so I can concentrate.” He turned his devastating eyes at them. Logan felt his heart kick. “Tell me about your day.”

Beddgelert, March 2016

Leo sighed, savoring the last bite of his mother's lamb cawl, heating him up from the inside as the last dregs of the Eryri winter faded away. They didn't have anymore snow, but the chill was still there. His Raynaud's flared up frequently in the drafty halls of Hogwarts. He was grateful to be in his kitchen at home; it was warm from the oven and his mother's cooking.

“Diolch, mam,” he said, turning to look at his mother. It felt like a relief to speak his native language. “It was really good.”

She kissed his forehead and poured herself some more wine. She gave him a wink. “Of course, honey. I'll have to make it again when those boys of yours arrive.”

His father laughed. “Might need to make a double batch. Logan always eats us out of house and home.”

Leo smiled. “Don't tell him that, he'll get embarrassed.” He rested his chin on his hand. “Are you sure you're okay with them staying here for a few days? I know it'll be a lot, what with the family Easter party on Sunday.”

Eloise shook her head. “They’re welcome, as long as they help.” She came over to give him a hug and pressed a kiss to his curls. “Besides, I missed my boy. And I did have you first.”

Leo laughed, giving her a kiss on the cheek before beginning to clear the table. He had missed her and his dad, too, and the mountains and the farm. He had missed the way his parents spoke Welsh, the lilt of their vowels and their familiar accents. They hadn’t forced him to come home; he had actually suggested it. He wanted to spend a few days in Beddgelert before going to Finn and Logan’s (and his, he guessed) apartment in Derby. They were due to arrive the following evening after Logan’s practice and Finn’s last day of his apprenticeship before his own Easter break. They were excited to come celebrate with Leo’s extended family- Finn said he had bought a special ‘Easter shirt’ at the charity shop the other day.

I want to look proper spiffy for your family, sunshine, he had said. Gotta make a good first impression.

Leo smiled to himself at the memory, handing the last plate to be dried to his dad. Together, they wiped down the counters and stove. Leo couldn't wait for the kitchen to be filled with the smell of bara brith and Welsh cakes and more lamb and roasted vegetables over the next few days. He loved the Hogwarts meals, but he did miss being able to cook his own food. He perused the cabinets, looking for a packet of digestives, his favorite biscuits, when there was a whooshing sound of someone coming through the fireplace.

“Mam!” he called. “Did you invite Effie over?”

Effie Potter and Eloise had become fast friends when they had been invited to the Potter’s annual New Years Eve party. James and Monty had helped them set up the Floo in the Knut's fireplace, and Effie and Eloise now often had a post-dinner tea (or drink, depending on the mood). There was another whooshing sound, and Leo furrowed his brow.

“Hello?” he said, creeping slowly into the living room. The sight in front of him stopped him in his tracks. He let out a joyful laugh.

“Salut.”

“Hi, sunshine.”

Leo leaned against the doorway, smiling. “Hi.”

Logan, who was bouncing on his toes, couldn't seem to hold back anymore. He dropped his bag and ran forward right into Leo's arms. Leo wrapped him up close, slouching down to tuck his face into Logan's hair. “Hi, cariad. Hi.”

He opened an arm for Finn to tuck in against them. Finn reached a palm to cup Leo's cheek and kiss him. “Surprise, baby.”

Leo grinned against Finn's mouth. “The best surprise.” He pulled back, tightening his arm around Finn's waist. “I thought you wouldn't be here until tomorrow.”

“Logan’s last practice was actually today, as well as my last day before break.” Finn winced. “Sorry we lied.”

Leo kissed his temple. “You get away with it this time.” He tilted his head to look down at Logan. “How's my needy snugglebug?”

Logan rested his chin on Leo's collarbone and glared up. “Non, I'm not.”

Leo grinned. “You mean you don't want kisses?”

Logan grunted. “That's not what I said. Allez.”

He dragged Leo down to meet his mouth, and Leo let himself sink into Logan's warm body. He lingered until he physically needed to breath, breaking away with a slight gasp. Logan placed sloppy kisses under his jaw before tucking his face back into Leo's neck with a happy sigh.

Finn looked at him, amused. “Not needy, my arse.”

Logan just grunted in reply, but he didn’t deny it.

“There they are!” Eloise came striding in with Wyatt in tow. “It worked!”

“What?” Leo asked as she pulled both Finn and Logan into hugs.

“The surprise,” Wyatt said matter-of-factly. He shook both Finn and Logan's hands. “How are we, boys, you alright?”

Finn wrapped an arm around Logan's shoulders. “Yeah, we're good. Excited to be here.”

Eloise clapped her hands excitedly. “Okay, bed's upstairs, all made up. You hungry? I've got some leftover lamb cawl.”

Logan shook his head. “Non, merci, we ate. For lunch tomorrow?”

Eloise nodded excitedly. “With some fresh bread from the bakery down the street.” She shooed them away with wink. “Off you pop, I'm sure you've got lots of catching up to do.”

Leo blushed. “Mam.” He let Logan, then Finn up the stairs, following with a hand resting on Finn's lower back. “Nos da.”

“Sleep tight, loves!”

Their footsteps sounded all the way down the hallway to Leo's room. Upon closing the door, Logan pulled Leo in and wrapped his arms around Leo's neck. He was grinning eagerly. “Will there be much sleeping?”

Leo smiled, ducking down to wrap Logan fully in his arms. Logan played with his scalp, and Leo relaxed into it, letting out a yawn.

Finn laughed at him over Logan's shoulder, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “I think there might be. You look tired, baby.”

Leo straightened. “No, I'm okay. I'm totally fine, we can-”

Logan pressed three fingers to his mouth. “Non. You were stressed with work and traveled all day on the train. You're tired, mon soleil.” He pressed his thumbs to Leo's cheeks, just below his lashes. “I can see it in your eyes.”

Leo sighed, tipping forward to press their foreheads together. “I'm sorry,” he whispered. “I'm exhausted. Tomorrow, I promise.”

Finn came up to press along Logan's back, a hand on Leo's ribs. “Sex isn't an obligation, love. It's a nice bonus, but only if you want it.”

Leo considered that for a moment. “I do want it. I want you.” He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. “But right now I want to shower and I want you to hold me.”

Finn brushed a few curls away from his face. “Can do, sunshine. We already showered, so you go ahead. We'll warm the bed up for you.”

Leo nodded, kissing each of their cheeks before pulling a pair of boxers and a towel from his closet, leaving them to get ready for bed.

The shower was warm against his skin. His hair felt greasy under his fingers, so he decided to wash it. He was just putting in some conditioner when there was a knock at the door.

“Le?” came Finn's voice. “Can we come in and brush our teeth and wash our faces?”

Leo smiled. He'd gotten them into Muggle skincare since they'd started dating, particularly Logan, to their collective surprise. He really loved a good moisturizer.

“Yeah,” he replied. “I'm almost done.”

He heard the popping of toothpaste caps and the cleanser bottle that Logan liked as he washed his body and rinsed out the conditioner. When he stepped out and grabbed a towel, he came face to face with Logan, who looked up at him through his lashes. Leo smiled. “What?”

Logan just kissed his chest. “Si beau.” He held up a few containers. “I bought you the face creams that you like.”

Leo just leaned down and kissed him.

After drying off and settling his boyfriends into bed, Leo went about applying lotion to his arms and legs. His skin got dry and cracked when it was cold, and he could already feel the chilly night air working its way into his bones.

“Allez,” Logan said. “Leo.”

“Just a moment, cariad. I've got to do my other leg.”

Logan huffed and slumped down against his pillow, arms crossed in frustration. Finn caught Leo's eye and winked. “Getting all nice and moisturized for us, baby?”

Leo rolled his eyes, but went to kneel on the end of the bed. “You wish. My skin gets dry when I'm cold.”

Finn patted the space next to him. “C'mere.”

Leo obliged, crawling up the mattress to lay in between them. Logan immediately settled himself on Leo's chest, his nose taking up its permanent resident just underneath Leo's chin. Finn wrapped an arm around Leo's torso and threw his leg over both of them.

“It feels good,” Finn said. “To be in bed all together again.” He nuzzled Leo's shoulder. “Love the weight of you.”

“I don’t sleep well,” Leo whispered. “Not without you.”

Logan made a discontent noise. “I don't like that.”

“I know,” Leo said, rubbing a hand up and down Logan's back. “But do you know what I do when I can't sleep?”

“What?” Finn asked, intrigued.

Leo turned his head to nudge their noses together. “I read the letters you send me, and I look at the pictures.” He kissed Finn lightly, then the top of Logan's head. “We have mirror calls almost four times a week, and yet you two still send me letters every couple of days.”

“We want you to know what's going through our heads,” Logan mumbled.

Leo pulled him tighter to his chest. “I love it more than anything.”

Finn scoffed, pinching his hip. “You don't love it more than us.”

Leo laughed. “That's true.” He closed his eyes. “I love you more than anything that ever has and ever will be.” He yawned, settling into the weight of their bodies and the heat their skin. “Nos da.”

“Good night, loves.”

“Bonne nuit. Je t’aime.”

SO ADORABLE I ❤️ SOULMATE O KNUTZY🥹🥹 any chance for a part two?? i get so attached to the characters in each au i would love more if you’re open to it <333

You all have me starting a THIRD Word document (it's okay, I love it, I love all your beautiful brains and their beautiful ideas!)! That's crazy, and I can't thank you enough for all the support you give me every single time I post.

This was also a fun little drabble to write- would definitely consider writing more stuff in this AU if you so wanted. Although, I gotta say, I still think the first part will always be my favorite. They kinda just wrote themselves, to be honest.

ENJOOOOOOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leo shifted under the warmth of the blankets, stretching his legs as he drifted into consciousness. He felt a weight on his shoulder and smiled as Logan let out a sigh in his sleep. Leo scratched a hand through his hair, then brought it down to rest on the sun, the fleur-de-lis, and the fish on his hip. Logan’s skin, Leo had discovered, was always so soft and warm. He radiated heat like a furnace, and Leo and Finn had taken to reaching for him unconsciously in their sleep. He normally slept in the middle, a spot he had claimed three weeks ago their first night in bed together, but the night previous Leo had been particularly cold. Logan had rolled over Leo’s body with a groan and his pushed nose under Leo’s chin.

“Ici, soleil,” he had whispered. “We’ll keep you warm.”

And they did just that. The whole night, Leo slept blissfully with Finn up against his back and Logan tucked into him, safe and sound and happy, so happy. Leo didn’t think he’d ever felt happier.

A movement from beside him made him look over to his left. Finn was awake. He was on his side, facing Leo, with his hand tucked under his head. He blinked sleepily, his brown eyes reflecting the light, before he smiled. “Hi, sunshine.”

Leo smiled right back. “Hi.”

Finn let out a happy sound. When he spoke next, he sounded almost giddy. “Hi, hi, hi, good morning, baby.” He shifted to prop himself up on an elbow and hovered over Leo, reaching out a hand to cup Leo’s face. His sun, fleur-de-lis, and fish were visible on his stretched-out torso, so stark and beautiful against his pale skin. “You’re so gorgeous.”

Leo grinned into the kiss Finn gave him. It still didn’t feel real, kissing Finn and Logan. It had been a long time since Leo had kissed someone, been held by someone, made love to someone- although, if he was being honest, his previous relationship hadn’t been that loving at all. And coming to the NHL had left no room for dating or hookups, not that Leo would have wanted to, anyway. His heart had jolted the moment Finn first smiled at him and when Logan had first looked at him with those gorgeous green eyes of his.

Finn had moved one hand to cup Leo’s waist, sending goosebumps up his stomach and chest. Leo arched into the feeling with a soft sound and used his free hand to run his fingers through Finn’s hair. It was thick and silky, just as Leo had always imagined it to be, and Finn loved it when they tugged on it. Leo did so, gently, and Finn made a happy sound against his mouth before pulling away with a grin. He brushed their lips together. “I love you.”

Leo dug his heels into the back of Finn’s thighs and wrapped his free arm around Finn’s trim waist, rubbing a hand up and down his soul mark. “Love you.”

Finn’s eyes darted across Leo’s face for a moment. “I like your hair like this.”

Leo laughed softly. “You’ve said that every day since I got it cut.”

“Well, yeah.” Finn dipped his head just beside Logan’s to kiss behind Leo’s right ear, where the hair was now shorter. “Now everyone gets to see that you’re mine.”

“Finn,” Leo sighed. He laced his hand through Finn’s hair again. “Kiss me.”

Finn didn’t even argue. He just dragged his lips across Leo’s jaw and cheek until he reached his mouth, tongue brushing Leo’s lips languidly. Leo loved how Finn kissed, focused and completely giving himself over. He loved to watch Finn kiss Logan, too. Logan was so responsive and melted under their touch always, but Finn had a way of directing him, of directing them both, without missing a beat.

Leo lost track of time with how lovingly Finn was kissing him. Finn’s hands were all over his body: his chest, his hips, his jaw. Leo pressed into wherever they roamed, content to just give himself over completely. He slipped away a little, too caught up in the heady feeling, before he was brought back to reality when a pair of lips pressed over the marks behind his ear.

“Mm,” Leo mumbled against Finn’s mouth. “Lo.”

Finn pulled away with a last kiss, then immediately leaned over Leo’s body to kiss Logan. “‘Sup, baby?”

Leo felt the shaking movement of Logan’s body which meant he was laughing. “Salut, rouge.”

Finn left a few more exaggerated kisses on Logan’s face and neck before pulling back and hovering once more over Leo. He pushed Leo’s hair back from his face. “Sleep okay, sunshine?”

Leo nodded. “Mhm. Nice and warm.” He felt fingers brush along his stomach and finally turned to face Logan with a soft smile. “‘Morning, sweetheart.”

Logan’s sleepy green eyes filled his vision. “Soleil,” he sighed, leaning in to kiss Leo, a bit sloppy and luxurious. “Bon matin.”

Leo let out a satisfied breath and let his head fall back against the pillows once more. Logan had bullied his way onto Leo’s chest, forcing Finn to drop onto the mattress once more on Leo’s other side. Finn narrowed his eyes. “You’re hogging my sunshine.”

“Notre soleil.”

“You’re still hogging him!”

Logan just let out a huff, rolling his body even further on top of Leo’s, lying chest to chest with his nose in Leo’s neck. Leo let out a soft laugh. “You have no shame.”

“Non.” Logan kicked Finn in the shin. “Ici, rouge.”

Finn scoffed but complied. He threw his leg over both Leo and Logan’s bodies, one arm coming to rest on Logan’s back. “How is this, my liege?”

“C’est bien.” Logan lifted his head up a bit to look at Leo. He smiled with a happy noise and traced his thumb under Leo’s eye. “Tu es si beau, mon chou.”

Leo tilted his head to kiss Logan’s palm. He bit his lip mischievously, glancing at Finn briefly. “Look who’s talkin’.”

Logan laughed and Finn groaned at Leo’s poor attempt at his accent. “I do not sound like that.”

“No, you don’t, I’m sorry, honey,” Leo agreed, opening his free arm so Finn could rest his head on his shoulder. He shifted his head just enough to place a lingering kiss on Finn’s temple. “Better?”

“Much.”

Leo smiled and tucked his nose into Finn’s hair. He loved the weight of them in bed with him, a luxury he, at one point, thought would have to wait until he retired. But now there was this: Logan, practically moved into the apartment at this point, taking up a disproportionately large amount of space on his chest; Finn, always the one to be brave and smiling, letting his walls down and letting himself be held; a feeling, so warm and heady and lovely that Leo wanted to cup it gently in his hands and never let it go. He was ruined in the best way, weighted and safe under the sheets with his lovers.

Logan, it seemed, had begun to gain some more consciousness. He started wriggling around in the way he did when he was trying to get comfortable, moving their limbs around to hold him how he liked. He was demanding, there was no doubt about that, but Leo wouldn’t have traded him for anything in the world. Leo looked down fondly at him as he slipped his thigh between Leo’s own and moved Finn’s hand down to massage his lower back. He let out a satisfied sound as Finn’s fingers began to dig into the sore muscle. “Ouais.”

Finn let out a snort and kissed his cheek. “So bossy.”

Logan just smiled softly. He reached up to play with the edges of Leo’s hair. “I like your curls like this, mon soleil.”

Leo laughed. “Fish just said that, too.”

“Well it’s true,” Finn said. He pressed his nose into the side of Leo’s head and nuzzled his curls exaggeratedly. “You look like our very own Disney prince or something.”

Leo turned to look him in the eye. “And what does that make you and Lo?”

“Well, I’m your bard. Or your jester. Or both, you choose. And Lo here,” he said, moving his arm up to squeeze around Logan’s upper back. “He’s your knight.” He made a little growling sound and bit at Logan’s shoulder. “Imagine these muscles in armor, holy moly.”

Logan’s nose scrunched around his smile. He watched his own hand play with Leo’s hair. “I just think you’re beautiful.”

Leo tried to bite his lip against the blush, but it was no use. He leaned into the thumbs Logan brushed over his heated cheeks. “I love you.” He kissed Logan briefly, then settled back again onto the pillows. He looked between Finn and Logan, whose eyes were both watching him intently. “I think I want to keep my hair like this for a while.”

Logan and Finn smiled widely down at him. It made Leo’s breath catch and he could feel every place their warm skin touched his like they were trying to be melded together. When he’d cut his hair like he’d always wanted to- a bit shorter on the sides, still curly at the top- over a week ago, he’d been more than a little nervous. It meant that his mark would be revealed to the world, and anyone who saw would potentially wonder about its oddity, about why there were three shapes. Logan and Finn didn’t have to worry about that as much- theirs were covered by their clothes most of the day. And after they’d left them uncovered in the locker room, it didn’t take too long before there were careful questions and then excited congratulations from their teammates. But Leo’s was out in the open. It wasn’t necessarily an obvious place, but it was still visible with shorter hair.

Finn and Logan had let him talk it out with them for hours over takeout, the both of them snuggled in Leo’s sweatshirts from high school. It had made his heart jolt when he saw them for the first time in his clothes. It was as if it was a fever dream, and the feeling in Leo’s chest when he came into the living room to see them both, snuggled in his hoodies on the couch, smiling at each other, smiling at him- it was warm and weighty. And Leo felt, in that moment, that he was gone on them forever. So, when they asked him if he wanted to get his haircut, despite the hesitation, he didn’t really have to decide at all. Being with them, loving them, was liberating, and made all of the potentially hard things feel worth it. And it had certainly been worth it to see their grins and feel their lips on his skin when he’d come home from running errands with his curls cut and styled how he’d always dreamed.

Now, he felt Logan’s fingers caressing the skin behind his ear lovingly. Both Logan and Finn were mindless touchers. Sometimes, Leo didn’t even think they realized they were doing it. After not having to hide in the locker room anymore, Leo found there was frequently a hand on his back, fingers brushing his, a gentle scratch on his scalp. Finn was even a good multitasker, and always had a hand on them whenever he was talking, to them or anyone else, and he was in close proximity to at least one of them. Even now, in the peaceful silence that had fallen over their bedroom, Leo felt Finn’s fingers tracing the slant of his jaw, placing soundless kisses after he finished before starting up again near Leo’s ear. Leo let out a sigh and closed his eyes again briefly, content to just rest to the sound of their breathing and the feeling of their bodies.

“I really love you,” Leo whispered. “I really, really love you. I love your smiles, and your skin, and the weight of you in bed with me.”

“Oh, baby,” Finn said. He sounded a little choked up and giddy at the same time. “We really love you, too.”

“Ouais, mon soleil.” Logan settled himself back down onto Leo’s chest and let out a sigh. “Mm, c’est chaud ici.”

“Geez,” Finn said abruptly after a brief silence. He lifted himself on his forearm to look down at them and smiled as he caught Leo’s eye. “Geez, I’m so in love with you. You’re everything I’ve ever wanted.”

“Well,” Leo said sarcastically. “That’s high praise.”

Finn stuck out his tongue and poked Leo’s cheek playfully. “Stop trying to be silly when I’m trying to be romantic.”

“Honey, you walk the line between silly and romantic all the time!”

“Yes, but when I want to! And right now it’s just romance time.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully. He cupped the back of Finn’s head and guided it to his shoulder once more. He felt Finn’s teeth scrape against the skin and tugged his thick red waves. “Hey, biting isn’t romantic.”

“It is when I bite. Or when Logan bites.”

Logan, who had been a dead weight against Leo’s chest, responded by lightly dipping his chin down and biting beside Leo’s nipple. “Mm, you’re sweet, soleil.”

Leo let out a snort. “You’re so weird. I love you.”

“Je t’aime.”

“Love you, love you, love you.” Finn accentuated his statement by pressing bursts of wet kisses to their cheeks, then licked Leo’s jaw. “Hm, you are sweet.”

“Oh my God.” Leo began to move in an attempt to sit up. “I’m getting new boyfriends.”

“No, no, baby come back,” Finn pleaded. Logan just let his weight go even further; Finn began to kiss Leo’s neck. “No, baby, I’m sorry, I love you, I love you, come back.”

Leo began to lay back down and looked at Finn’s puppy eyes with raised eyebrows. “Do you not want breakfast?”

Logan reached up to tug Leo’s hair. “Want you for breakfast.”

That made Leo warm all over, and he ran a palm up Logan’s back. “Fine, fine, I acquiesce.”

“Oo, fancy words,” Finn said. He wiggled his eyebrows. “You know how much intelligence turns me on.”

“I do,” Leo whispered. He cupped Finn’s cheek and watched as his eyes turned soft and fond. He didn’t have to say anything- he knew Finn knew how lucky they all were. Finn kissed his palm, and Logan kissed his chest, and Leo let out a deep sigh. He was so in love he was dizzy with it. The feeling felt too big for his chest. “I do. And I love you. I love you both more than anything.”

Hi! I just lost my 13yo dog and been so down, but trying to think about all the amazing times we went through. Made me wonder about the cubs adopting a rescue dog, or even better, Logan maybe gifting Leo said dog, or something like it, dont know, just wanted something very lovely and cute. Thanks

Hi friend,

I am so so so sorry for your loss. Dogs love unconditionally like nobody else can, and I imagine it must be so hard right now. However, they are some of the greatest gifts life has to offer, even if their time on Earth is much more limited than ours. They bring so much joy and happiness, and I hope you can find that in the memories you carry of your sweet baby. <3

Have some sunshine being a sweet dog-whisperer and Logan and Finn wanting to surprise the very best husband they could ever ask for.

Sending lots of love your way!!

Logan laced his fingers through Leo’s as they walked along the path through the park, stepping aside every now and then to let bikers and runners pass by. Leo’s skin was tan from the summer sun and matched beautifully with the gold rings on his fingers. Logan brought his hand to his mouth and kissed it, then turned to look up at him. They were discussing where they wanted to go for dinner. “What do you want to do tonight, soleil?”

Leo shrugged. “Don’t know. Could ask Finn, he was talking about this new place that opened up in the center of the city. Or we could go to that café we like for an early dinner, then go for a walk by the water. It’s a nice day.”

“Mm,” Logan hummed distractedly. He stopped abruptly and bent down. When he stood to give Leo the flower he picked, small and yellow, he smiled. “Allez. For you.”

Leo smiled back. “Thanks, honey.” He kissed Logan’s forehead. “I love it.”

Logan was leaning up for another kiss when he felt something cold sniff his ankle. He pulled away and looked down. “Quoi?”

The dog had moved on to Leo now. It was medium sized, with long, triangle ears and a boxy face. It’s entire body wiggled as it looked up at Leo and stuck its tongue out in a smile.

“Sassy!” a woman said. She gave the dog a tug by its leash and smiled sheepishly. “Sorry, sorry, she’s not leash trained quite yet.”

“That’s alright,” Leo said. He looked up at her. “Can I pet her?”

“Yeah, yeah, of course.”

Leo grinned and bent a bit to let Sassy sniff his hand, and when she licked it, he crouched fully to scratch behind her ears. He laughed when she made a content little grunting sound. “You’re so pretty! Look at you, baby.”

Logan smiled fondly then looked up at the woman. “What breed is she?”

She shrugged. “We’re not entirely sure. We think a pitbull-coonhound mix. I’m not her owner, I’m just taking her for a walk. I volunteer at Gryffindor Shelter on Lavelle Street.”

Logan tilted his head. “So she’s not adopted?”

“No. A group of us take the dogs for walks every week so they get used to it. Helps to socialize them a bit.”

“That’s awesome,” Leo chided in. Sassy now had her paws on his bent knees and was wiggling happily as he continued to scratch her ears. “You’re a very sweet girl.”

Logan took in Leo’s smile and bright blue eyes. They had talked about getting a dog before, in theory. Leo always joked that Finn basically was their dog and that they needed to run him, but Logan knew he wanted the real thing. He loved whenever the Lions did charity work or photoshoots with rescue dogs. Finn and Logan had shared knowing glances many times over the years as they watched every single dog, old and young, big and small, fall in love with Leo the second they met him.

Suddenly, there was a warm body behind him and a wet, slightly sweaty, kiss was pressed to his cheek. “‘Sup, hubs.”

Logan turned and caught Finn’s eye. “Salut. Good run?”

Finn nodded eagerly, bouncing on his toes. “Oo-ways. Two more miles left.” He noticed Leo on the ground and the women holding the leash and smiled. “Hi! Who’s this?”

The woman smiled. “This is Sassy. She’s at Gryffindor Shelter, I’m breaking her out of jail for the day.”

Finn crouched down and held out his hand. “Aren’t you a sweet little girl!” He laughed when she came to lick his wrist, then Logan’s ankle, before going straight back to seek attention from Leo. “Damn, okay, I see how it is.”

The lady winked at him. “Seems she found a friend.”

“Looks like. She’s very pretty.”

The woman nodded. “She is.” She checked her watch briefly, then tugged on the leash. “Let’s go, Sassy girl, gotta get you back.” She looked up at the three of them. “Nice to meet you…?”

“I’m Finn,” Finn said. “And this is Logan and Leo.” He gestured accordingly with a tilt of his head. “And you?”

“Melanie.”

Finn turned on one of his signature grins. “Well, Melanie, thanks for sharing Sassy with us. And taking her for walkies, I’m sure the shelter must be boring for her.”

Melanie smiled. “My pleasure.” She gave the leash another tug. “Let’s go, Sass!”

Sassy let out a whining sound before resisting just enough to give Leo’s forearm another lick and receive one last scratch before she was being led away down the path. Leo watched her go with a small smile on his face for a moment. Just enough time, really, for Finn and Logan to share a meaningful look. Logan grinned and turned to Leo, holding out his hand. “Ici, soleil, let’s finish our walk.”

Leo let out a sigh. “Okay.” He took Logan’s hand and stood. “She was really cute.”

“She was, baby,” Finn agreed, kissing his cheek. “I’ll meet you at the fountain in a few, okay? Love you.”

Leo nodded. “Love you.”

Finn jogged backwards for a moment, making a heart with his hands, before winking and turning to run ahead. Logan stood on his toes and kissed Leo on the cheek. “You look very pretty in the sun.”

Leo rolled his eyes good naturedly, but he turned his face to brush their noses together. He still had the yellow flower between his fingers. “I love you.”

“Je t’aime.” Logan kissed him on the mouth, then squeezed his hand. “Allez, or our oversized puppy will get impatient waiting for us at the fountain.”

Leo laughed and let Logan pull him along the path.

Two weeks later

It took a lot of planning, and insisting Leo go out with Regulus one day while they had a secret house inspection, but Logan had done it. Well, really, he and Finn had done it, but he liked to credit himself for the idea, at least. They had told Leo they were going out to get fertilizer for his herb garden, which they did actually do- the store just so happened to have all necessary dog accessories, and was a three minute drive from Gryffindor Shelter on Lavelle Street.

“Are you excited, Sassy girl?” Finn cooed from the front seat as he parked. He turned to scratch her behind the ears, and patted Logan, who was sitting in the back with her, on the head. “Your daddy’s gonna be so happy!”

She let out a whine and a short bark, her entire body vibrating with energy. Logan clipped the leash they had got her around her collar and gingerly opened the door. “Allez, ma petite, careful.”

Sassy paid him no mind and leapt out of the car after him, nose in the air and twitching like a bunny’s with soft huffs. Finn chirped the car and went to open the door leading from the garage to the lower lobby and the elevator.

“Wanna bring the other stuff up later?”

“Ouais,” Logan said, gripping tightly to the leash as Sassy pulled in her excitement. “I want Le to see her first.”

Finn made a happy sound in the back of his throat. “I can’t wait, he’s gonna be so excited.” He turned to look at Logan as they stepped through the elevator door and kissed him. “You’re a good husband.”

Logan smiled against his mouth. “Toi aussi, mon rouge.” He bent to rub Sassy’s side. “She’s very happy.”

“Wiggly little thing, huh?” Finn crouched to give her a kiss on the forehead, which just made her wag her tail even harder. “Gonna have to take you on runs to get your energy out. Yes I am!”

Logan ran a hand fondly through Finn’s hair just as the elevator door opened. Sassy immediately dragged Logan out, nose to the ground as she scurried her way down the hallway. Finn laughed and went to unlock the door. “Hold her here for a second, ‘kay?”

“D’accord,” Logan replied, crouching to hold Sassy around her chest.

Finn touched Logan’s cheek, winked, then pushed the door open. “Sunshine! We’re home.”

“Hi, honey,” Logan heard Leo say. There was the sound of a brief kiss. “Where’s Lo?”

Logan could imagine Finn’s mischievous smile. “We’ve got a surprise for you.”

“What?”

“Lo, let her in!”

Logan stood and held onto Sassy’s leash and guided her into the apartment. Leo looked briefly confused, but his entire face changed when he saw her, breaking into a wide smile. Those bright eyes flashed to Logan’s face. “No.”

Logan nodded, a warm feeling working its way up his chest. “Ouais.”

Sassy whined, entire body vibrating, before Logan let her go. Leo crouched and she launched herself right into his lap, happy, high-pitched noises escaping her. Her paws were dancing on Leo’s legs as he cupped her face and scratched her ears. He was laughing and cooing at her. Logan and Finn and Logan shared a fond look.

“Hi, baby, hi!” Leo was saying. “Oh, you’re so beautiful.” He looked up at Finn and Logan, both dimples on full display. “She’s ours?”

The look Finn gave him was so in love Logan felt his heart speed up. “Yeah, sunshine. She’s ours.”

Leo laughed again and buried his face in Sassy’s neck. She had both of her paws on his shoulders and was sniffing by his ear. She had calmed down a bit, comforted by the warmth of Leo’s body. Logan could relate.

“Thank you,” Leo said softly. He tilted his chin up. “C’mere.”

Finn sat by his side and Logan kneeled in front of him. Leo leaned in to kiss them both softly, a hand supporting Sassy on her back. Finn wrapped one arm around Leo’s waist and Logan scratched Sassy’s side just beside Leo’s hand.

“She will need some training,” Logan said. He moved his hand up and flitted his fingers over Leo’s curls. He leaned into the touch. “But she needed a home, and she loves you, Le.”

“She’s perfect,” Finn said wistfully, head now on Leo’s shoulder. He reached out to rub Sassy’s ear between his thumb and forefinger. “Her ears are so soft.”

“Mm, like- how do you say it, soleil? Le velours?”

Leo smiled and peeked out at him. “Velvet. Yeah, they are.”

Sassy was wiggling again, excited and eager with all the hands petting her, and let out a happy little growling sound. Logan barked out a laugh. “Rouge, she sounds like you.”

Finn mimicked her happy growling sound and reached out with both hands to scratch behind her ears. She opened her mouth in a smile and talked back to him again. “Just like your dad, baby, did you hear that?”

Leo kissed her on the side of her head. “Okay, c’mon, baby girl, let’s show you the house.” He coaxed her off his lap and took her leash, leading her through the kitchen. “This is where all the yummy snacks are made. I’ll have to find some dog friendly recipes for you, sweetheart.” They continued on. “And this is the couch, it’s great for naps. I’ll make sure to get you a blanket.”

Leo continued chattering to her as he showed her the bedrooms and the hallway. Her nose was moving rapidly, the sounds of her sniffing making Logan let out an amused breath. He settled back on his heels as Finn came to sit beside him. He wrapped his arms around his shoulders and kissed his red waves. “Good surprise.”

“Good surprise,” Finn agreed. “He’s so happy. They both are.”

Logan hummed into Finn’s hair and breathed out a laugh as Leo’s voice continued to carry through their apartment, followed by a bark from Sassy. “I think we married a Disney character.”

“Oh, we definitely did. We could put him in the forest and he’d be friends with all the animals in an hour, probably.”

Logan smiled into Finn’s hair. “You’re so weird. I love you.”

Finn tilted his head and kissed him. “I love you, too.”

They turned to look as Leo walked back into the entryway with Sassy, who was now free from her leash. She saw them and trotted her way over, entire body wiggling, and nudged their hands. They both smiled and complied, scratching her side and ears. Leo stood over them, leash in one hand, his smile bright. Logan couldn’t tear his eyes away.

“Is her stuff in the car?” Leo asked. At the sound of his voice, Sassy turned around and went over to him again. He squatted to pet her.

“Yeah, but we’ll get it, baby,” Finn said. He stood, then held out a hand for Logan. “You relax.”

“You sure? I can help-”

“Non.” Logan bent and cupped his face to kiss him quickly. “Stay here, mon coeur. We’ll be back.”

Later that evening, after the three of them had taken Sassy for a long walk around her new neighborhood, Finn and Logan arrived from picking up their Thai take out for dinner to find Leo fast asleep on his back on the couch. Sassy was a heavy weight on his chest, limbs splayed out as she softly snored. One of her ears was flipped inside-out. Leo’s arms were wrapped gently around her to keep her from falling.

Finn sneakily took a photo. “New lockscreen.”

Logan rested his chin on his shoulder. “Send it to me, please?”

“Already done, baby.” He kissed the side of Logan’s head. “They’re so cute.”

Logan bent to kneel beside the couch and kissed Leo’s forehead, brushing his hair back. “Mon amour. Mon mari. Dinner.”

Leo took a deep breath in and blinked slowly. He smiled sleepily. “Hi.” His arms tightened around Sassy. She let out a content sound and opened her eyes, too. “Sorry, we were just taking a nap.”

Logan shook his head. “Non, don’t be sorry.” He nudged their noses together. “You were very cute.” He felt a paw pat his forearm and he turned to Sassy. “You, too, ma petite.” He kissed her between her eyes and she let out a satisfied sigh.

Leo scratched her back. “Up, sweetheart, it’s supper time.” He laughed as Sassy let out a groan and stretched her back legs and yawned. “Oh, big stretch and big yawn, wow.”

Sassy hopped off the couch and shook, her lips and ears making a flapping sound. She trotted over to greet Finn and sniffed eagerly at the bags he was still holding. “Ah-ah, none for you. Yet. Maybe some chicken.”

Leo tisked. “Spices aren’t good for dogs, they upset their tummies.” He walked over and rested a hand on Finn’s lower back and leaned in for a kiss. “Hi. Thanks for getting dinner.”

“You’re welcome, sunshine.” Finn opened the takeout bags on their counter and began to unload them. Sassy sat obediently and looked up at him, ears perked up. Finn looked at her, then at Leo with his very own pleading puppy dog eyes. “Are you sure she can’t-”

“No. But we can cut her up some cucumbers and you can give them to her, how’s that?”

Finn smiled and nodded. “That sounds good.” He bent to touch his and Sassy’s foreheads together and kissed her nose. “You’re just so cute!”

She barked and wagged her tail happily. Leo looked down at her proudly, then caught Logan looking at him. “You okay, sweetheart?”

Logan nodded. “Ouais,” he said, going up to wrap his arms around Leo’s ribs. “Just love you.”

Leo kissed the top of his head. “I love you, too.” He bent to wrap his hands under Logan’s thighs and pick him up. His dimples were there again. “You got me a dog.”

Logan scratched a hand through his hair and tightened his legs around his waist. “I did.”

“We.”

“It was my idea!”

Leo rolled his eyes fondly and kissed Logan on the mouth. “Well, thank you both. She’s perfect.”

Logan kissed him again. “You’re perfect.”

Leo just grinned and set him down again. “C’mon, let’s get the plates. Then I gotta give Sassy her dinner.” Logan scratched Sassy, who was still watching Finn open the take out containers with rapt attention, on the head, letting the warm feeling of family fill him up as he went to get the silverware.

Can we see the cubs being adorable and clingy?(clingy in a good way!!) like after they come out just publicly hanging off of each other and being in their own little world🥹

That night at that one bar, Logan had spent nearly the whole time pressed into Leo’s side just… content. Just at ease. So at ease.- Vaincre Ch. 27, lumosinlove

I read this prompt and IMMEDIATELY thought of this moment in Vaincre. So have my vision of how Tweedle perceived it, along with some implied pining and some O'Hara wisdom.

All credits to @lumosinlove !!

Luke tapped his fingers along the side of his beer glass. His short nails clinked against it lightly, a soft undertone to the loud music and chatter that surrounded him. He was sat in the middle of the room, a place that he didn’t really like to be normally, but there were no other spots available when he arrived. Next to him, Alex O’Hara and Percy Marshall were playing some sort of card game. Luke didn’t know what it was, but it seemed complex and had been going on when he had sat down. That was over an hour ago.

He stretched his neck, closing his eyes briefly against the feeling. His eyes, when they opened, were staring at the section of the bar where there were high tops. Logan was sat on a stool with a rum and coke in front of him. He looked a bit sleepy and was leaning against someone- Leo, Luke realized.

He observed silently for a moment. Leo was laughing and talking to Will Morgan and his wife, Ray. He was standing, tall, even for a professional hockey player, and his laugh reverberated around the space. Logan pressed closer to him, ducking under Leo’s arm, his own coming to wrap around Leo’s waist. Leo looked down at him with a smile, kissed his forehead, then went back to talking with Will and Ray. Logan didn’t move his gaze from Leo for a second, though, just rested his chin on Leo’s chest to look up at him. Leo gave no obvious indication that he realized Logan was gazing at him, but he did bring his hand up to run a thumb over Logan’s jaw.

Suddenly, as if from thin air, Finn appeared by their sides. He clapped Will’s hand, kissed Ray’s cheek, then went over to his boyfriends. His cheeks and ears were flushed, obviously a bit tipsy, as he bent to kiss Logan’s cheek repeatedly. Logan laughed, scrunching his nose, but he was obviously pleased. Leo looked happy, too, and soft, until Finn leaned over Logan’s head to press those same kisses to his face. Then, he opened up, almost like a flower, curls bouncing with his laughter. Luke got why they called him the sun.

Logan, in between the two of them, just looked happy, content. He had an arm resting on each of their ribs. When Finn pulled away, he started talking to rapidly, a hand on each of them, mindlessly touching. They didn’t seem aware, nor to care, that Will and Ray were still there. They had watched amusedly, but now were talking to Saint, who was at the high top next to them. Luke’s breath caught.

“Ugh, they’re so gross,” Alex scoffed from beside Luke, breaking him from his reverie. “It’s like they don’t even realize it.”

Luke just turned to him, eyebrows raised. “I think Finn’s just a little tipsy, too.”

Percy laughed. “Yeah, he kind of goes crazy when that happens.” The cards in his hands slapped against one another as he shuffled them. “It’s nice, though. It was tough, watching him and Logan in college, sometimes. But they figured their shit out- and Leo is good at keeping them honest, too. He’s good for the both of them.”

Alex nodded solemnly. “Yeah, they really needed him. Need him.” He looked contemplatively at his younger brother. “He makes it all easier, I think.”

Luke furrowed his eyebrows. “What?”

Alex shrugged. “He’s part of them allowing themselves to love each other. By loving him, they are okay loving one another, too.” He looked serious. “And I think- well, Leo makes them being public easier, too. From what Finn’s told me, he was always sure of who he was, what they were, even if they, especially Logan, were nervous. Or afraid.”

Luke nodded, biting his lip as he turned back to look across the bar. Leo was now talking to the both of them. He looked like he was telling a story, the light reflecting off his blonde curls as they bobbed with his head. Logan had his head leaning against Leo’s bicep, tucked in close and safe. Finn, seemingly without knowing once again, had Leo’s hand in his own, pressing soft kisses to the back of it and up his forearm. Leo didn’t even look phased. He smiled at Finn, and nicked his cheekbone with his pointer finger, but didn’t stop telling his story. Finn was nodding rapidly along. He replied to something Leo had said, and it must have been snarky, because Logan turned with a wide grin to contribute. In sync, they both looked at Leo. He just shook his head and rolled his eyes fondly at them.

“Luke?”

Luke jerked, turning to Alex, who was looking at him strangely. “Yeah?”

Alex ran his tongue over his lips. It was brief, but Luke saw his eyes flash over to where they both knew Saint still was. “You okay?”

Luke swallowed. “Mhm.”

Alex looked him up and down. When his eyes met Luke’s, they were the most serious Luke had ever seen them. “Sometimes you can’t make it easier. Here, out in the world. But you can choose to try.”

Luke just stared at him. His body felt hot, and his chest felt a tug, as if a string was pulling on it. Probably pulling it right across the bar to the other high top table.

“Uh, Hazard? Tweedle? The fuck is going on?”

The look in Alex’s eyes vanished as quickly as it had come, and he turned that signature O’Hara grin on Percy. “Nothing, Perseus.” He nudged Luke with his elbow. “Just letting Luke here know that it will hurt for you both to lose, but that you can try not to, anyways.”

Percy narrowed his eyes at Alex’s smile, but sighed. “Fine. Fine, that’s not it, but I’ll let it slide.” He flipped his hat backwards. “Game fucking on.”

Alex turned to look at Luke. His smile was still playful, but his eyes were back to serious. “You dealing in, Tweeds?”

Luke took a deep breath. He glanced to Saint, then to Logan, head against Leo’s shoulder and fingers laced with Finn’s, then to Alex and Percy . “Yeah,” he said softly. “I’m dealing in.”

your writing is getting me through finals week 🙏🥹! That last fic was actually so cute I think it would be funny to see a boy who leo had “been with” in the past who maybe ended up at gryff university or something coming to one of the games with a sign and leo getting all flustered 😭. I’m a firm believer that leo had more situationships than just jack 🤮

This ended up being a very cute ask, so thank you! I am also a firm believer in showing how beautiful queer love can be in middle school/high school (like in Heartstopper). So meet someone who treated our Leo well, before Jack (ew) came into the picture and broke our sunshine's heart. But it's okay now- he's got two boyfriends who love him very, very much. <3

Keep the asks coming! All credits to @lumosinlove !!

“No way,” James laughed, mouthguard hanging out of his mouth and water bottle poised for a sip. “No fucking way! Nutty, you dog.”

Leo looked up from where he was in a butterfly stretch. “Huh? What do you mean?”

Sirius laughed at James’ waggling eyebrows. He jerked his chin to the glass. “You got an admirer there, nut.”

“Who?” Leo asked, confused expression on his face. “Is it Finn making faces again? Because I told him it distracts- oh.”

Across the ice a few rows up from the glass was a boy that looked like he was about Leo’s age with tan skin and dark, curly hair. He was in a Lions jersey, Leo’s own, and was holding a white sign above his forehead and smiling. Hi from NOLA! it said. We love #1! His friend beside him was laughing in his own Lions jersey.

Leo laughed and stood. He gestured to Layla, who was on the bench. “Layla, may you please pass me a puck and a sharpie?”

She nodded at him and bustled around for a puck and silver pen, handing them to him with a smile. “Do you know them?”

“Yeah, I went to school with one of them back home. I think he’s at Gryffindor University now, I saw it on his Instagram.” He wrote his signature with a smiley face and handed her back the pen. “Thanks, Layla. Be right back.”

She patted his head. “Off you go, nutter butter.”

James whistled at him while he skated away and Leo saw Finn lift his head up from where he had also been doing his warm-up stretches. Leo rolled his eyes playfully and made his way over to the glass. He smiled up and waved for the two boys to come down, and they hustled down the steps and stopped right in front of Leo.

“Enrique,” Leo greeted. “Long time no see. How are you?”

“‘Sup, Le,” Enrique answered.

He looked the same as he had when they were in middle and high school, a little gangly with bright white teeth and a sharp jawline. Leo remembered meeting him for the first time in 5th grade and being confused as to why his face flushed so hard. Flashbacks of tentative hand-holding and first kisses on an overnight school trip ran fondy through his mind. He remembered being young and unsure, and Enrique always being so gentle and kind.

Enrique seemed to be thinking the same thing, because he looked at Leo with a wide smile. “How’s the big show?”

“It’s good,” Leo said. He fiddled with the puck in his hand. “You studying at Gryff?”

“Yup! Math with a minor in anthropology.” He wrapped an arm around the boy beside him and noogied him in the head. “It’s how I met this history buff- we had a couple freshman classes together.” He lowered his arm to wrap gently around the boy’s waist and smiled up at him. “This is my boyfriend, Shan.”

Leo could feel his nose scrunching up with his smile. “Nice to meet you.”

“You, too,” Shan replied, a bit shyly. “It’s really cool to see you out here.”

Leo nodded. “Yeah, it feels good to be out here.” He tossed the puck up and down a few times in his fingers. “Hey, step back a little bit and put your hands up.”

Enrique did as told and deftly caught the puck that Leo tossed over the glass. Shan leaned over to look at it and read it as well, and they both looked up and smiled at him.

Suddenly, Leo felt a presence skate up to his side and watched both of their eyes widen. Leo bit his lip and turned to find Finn next to him. “Harz. This is Enrique and Shan.”

“Hello, lover,” Finn said, eyes twinkling. He looked over at the two boys. “Saw one of your friends had my jersey.” He smiled through the glass. “Hey, catch!”

Shan caught his own puck with a laugh. “Thanks, Harzy!”

Finn saluted. “No problem.” He wrapped an arm around Leo’s waist and squeezed gently. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to take my Leo here back to his goal so I can practice scoring on him.”

Leo nudged him gently. “Alright, alright.” He tapped a hand up to the glass. “It was good to see you, Enrique. You, too, Shan. Enjoy the game!”

“You, too!”

“Good luck!”

“Gentlemen,” Finn said, then tugged Leo to face him as the two boys went back to their seats. “Did you know them?”

Leo nodded. “Yeah, I went to school with Enrique.” He grinned down at Finn. “He was my first kiss on a middle school outdoor excursion trip.”

Finn froze for a second then broke out into a smile, his tongue sticking out a little. “Oh? And who kisses better?”

Leo snorted and tapped his helmet to Finn’s. “It was a first kiss, sweetheart. Nothing to write home about. And the boy he was with today is his boyfriend, they both go to college here.”

“Aw, that’s sweet.” Finn gave Leo a tap on the butt with his stick then snatched a puck. “Go get in goal, sunshine, I’ll shoot on you,” he said. As he skated towards the blue line, he turned around to look at Leo again. “Then we’ll go to home and FaceTime Lo while I kiss you stupid!”

Leo flushed at the chirps that got from their teammates, but smiled and narrowed his eyes as he turned to face Finn in his net.

Later, after they had a post-victory pasta dinner in their apartment, Leo was warm and flushed, pressed against the mattress by Finn’s body. Finn had called Logan with single-minded zeal, told him the story of warm-ups, and then had proceeded to kiss Leo into oblivion, Logan watching them eagerly from the iPad. Finn’s hands were all over Leo’s body and his lips somehow insistent and gentle. Leo felt like he was drowning and breathing clearly at the same time, caught in the whirlwind that was Finn’s focused attention. After what felt like hours, Finn pulled away, lips wet and red and hair a mess from Leo’s hands.

“So,” he began with a mischievous grin. “Who kisses better?”

Leo shook his head in amusement. “I told you, he was my first kiss. He’s probably way better at it now, and anyways, it’s not a competition.”

“Ouais, yes it is,” Logan said. He had his head resting on his hands and his green eyes were roaming up and down their bodies. “It’s always a competition. Allez, Le. Who’s better?”

“Guys, we were thirteen-”

“Leo.”

“I’m just saying, I’d feel weird comparing-”

But Finn interrupted him with a frustrated huff and bent to press his lips all over Leo’s neck and face. Leo laughed and wrapped his arms and legs around Finn’s body, head tilted up against the pillows and pliant. When Finn pulled away his face was serious but his eyes were twinkling. “You know there’s only one right answer, butter.”

Leo sighed and leaned up to kiss him. “You,” he said. He turned to smile at Logan, sated and content. “You, you, and you.”

Bet Leo didn't know his 2-for-1 deal includes weighted blankets. All credits to @lumosinlove !!

It was the scent that woke Logan abruptly from his sleep. Bacon- definitely Leo up and about, Logan thought. The sun shining through their curtains was on his face, and he leaned into it as he moved over to Leo’s empty side of the bed- only to find it not empty.

He jerked his head up only to collide his nose with Leo’s bicep, which was tucked up underneath the pillow as he slept on his stomach. Logan pushed up onto his forearms with a soft grunt to get a better look at his face. Leo always looked so beautiful when he slept, blond hair like a halo splayed on the pillow, his face finally relaxed. He seemed like an easy-going person, and he was- but he carried tension in his jaw and neck, especially when he was frustrated by not being able to sleep.

Last night was one of those nights. Logan had awoken at around two in the morning to find Leo sat up and rubbing his face, breath coming out in angry huffs. He’d been having particular trouble sleeping lately and almost every night for a week had been awake for a few hours in the middle of the night. Finn was a heavy sleeper and never really noticed. But Logan, too used to being squished happily in between his two boys, always did, and rubbed Leo’s back softly until his breathing inevitably evened out again.

The night previous, though, it seemed Leo was particularly frustrated. The lack of sleep had caught up to him, Logan could tell. He wasn’t surprised by the stiffness of Leo’s upper back and neck, but he was surprised by the tears falling down Leo’s cheek when his blue eyes caught Logan staring.

“Sh, Lo go back to sleep,” he had said. “I’m sorry, sweetheart.”

But Logan had shook his head. “Non. Turn over.”

Leo had looked at him surprised. “What, honey?”

“Allez.”

Logan had settled him back down on the pillows, turned him onto his stomach, and straddled his hips. Leo sighed, grunting softly as Logan’s hands started massaging the tension out of his muscles. “Feels good.”

Logan had hummed back, smiling softly when Leo groaned at a particularly tight knot being loosed in his neck.

A rustle had sounded beside them, and Logan had looked over to find Finn staring at them. “Wha’s hap’nin’?”

Nobody had responded, but Finn must have seen the tear-tracks on Leo’s face, and he scooted over to cup Leo’s cheek. “Oh, baby. Trouble sleeping, huh?”

Leo had released a shaky breath. “Yeah. Just really tired of not being able to rest.”

Finn had just placed a kiss on his forehead, stroking his hair. “Wanna be in the middle? When Lo’s done?”

Leo had just shaken his head. “No, too hot.” But he reached out to take Finn’s hand, upturned on the pillow. “Just stay.”

Finn had just kissed him.

They had stayed like that until Leo’s breath had finally evened out. Logan had gingerly climbed off and laid down again, but continued stroking Leo’s back. Finn reached his arm around to rest on Leo’s hips. “God, our poor boy,” he had said, nose in the back of Logan’s hair. “I just hate that we can’t do anything sometimes.”

Logan had tangled their legs together. “Ouais, rouge. Me too.” He had wiggled a little bit more back into Finn. “I think mostly he just wants us there.”

Finn had just breathed out, pressing a kiss to Logan’s neck. Eventually, he fell asleep, but Logan stayed awake, watching Leo’s back for a little longer in the moonlight before succumbing to his own exhaustion.

Now though, in the morning light, Logan got to observe as Leo’s face was finally slack, mouth open slightly and breathing softly. Logan traced his full lips gently, then brushed some curls back from his face. Leo’s face shifted in his sleep, his breathing hitching under Logan’s touch. He was so achingly gorgeous, and Logan could spend hours just staring at him, at Finn, too. Sometimes he did, staring and marveling at how lucky he was to have two such boyfriends, beautiful inside and out, that loved him, that he got to love in return.

Logan stayed there for he didn’t know how long, just watching, until Leo shifted a little more exaggeratedly and opened his eyes. They flitted over Logan’s face before he sighed, smiling softly. “G’morning, sweetheart.”

Logan said nothing, just leaned forward and kissed his forehead then touched their temples together. He could feel Leo take a deep breath and pressed against him harder.

Eventually, Leo spoke. “Thank you,” he said, his voice soft and more settled into his accent. “I’m sorry I keep waking you up.”

Logan shook his head hard, leaning back to look Leo in the eyes. “Non. Non, soleil. Je t’aime, mon coeur.”

“I love you, too.” Leo bit his lip. “I just don’t want to keep disturbing you. My not being able to sleep shouldn’t mean that you can’t sleep either. You and Finn.”

But Logan shook his head again. “Non,” he said firmly. “Non, soleil, it’s okay. It’s one of my favorite things.”

Leo raised his eyebrows, surprised. “Really?”

“Ouais,” Logan replied, smiling at him. “You get so soft when I rub your back. I love seeing you relax, mon coeur. You deserve it.”

To Logan’s surprise, Leo’s lip wobbled a little bit. “I- thank you, Lo. That… that means a lot.”

Logan brushed underneath his dampening eyes. “Sh, sh, soleil.” He kissed his cheeks. “No more crying.”

Leo nodded shakily, then lifted his fingers up to brush Logan’s cheek. “I really like when you sit on my hips. When you lay on my back.” He closed his eyes, smushing his face into the pillow. “Love the weight of you. Love your skin.”

Logan grinned. “Ouais?” He shifted down the bed to rest his body over Leo’s back. “You like this?”

Leo let out a small laugh. “Oui, je le veux.”

Logan pressed a hard kiss to his cheek and fully settled himself on top of Leo, reaching his hand out to intertwine his fingers over the back of Leo’s hand. Leo’s skin was smooth and warm against his own, and Logan pressed kisses all along it. They both were giggling at the beginning, but Leo’s breathing eventually evened out, closing his eyes again and gripping Logan’s hand. Logan rested his head sideways on Leo’s upper back after pressing a lingering kiss to his neck. They were both relaxed, content. Logan could have stayed there forever.

Footsteps sounded from the hallway and Logan watched as their bedroom door open to reveal Finn, shirtless and in a pair of boxers. He was carrying two water glasses and smiled when he saw them. “Le still asleep?”

“No,” Leo mumbled. “Just resting.” He opened his eyes and lifted his head to look at Finn. “Hi, Fish.”

Finn smiled, setting the glasses down on the bedside table and kissed Leo’s head, then Logan’s. “Hello, lovers.”

“Bon matin,” Logan said. “What did you make?”

Finn winced. “I attempted bacon. And eggs, like you taught us Le. And I put some tomatoes in the oven under the broiler, but they came out a bit charred.”

That got a laugh from Leo. “That’s okay. Char equals flavor.”

“What ever you say, nutter butter.” His face turned soft. “You feeling better?”

Leo leaned into the hand Finn pressed to his cheek. “Uh huh. Got my very own weighted blanket. Very heavy.”

Logan lifted his head and pinched his side. “You like it.”

“So do you.”

“Hm,” Logan replied, resting his face back down. “Ouais, I do.”

Finn stared to shuffle over. “How about two?” he asked, then climbed on top of Logan.

“Oh, Finn, Jesus-”

“Rouge, rouge, we are going to-”

With a final grunt, Finn let all of his weight go. Logan could feel his strong thighs straddling their waists, his breath against Logan’s neck. “Nice and comfy.”

Leo weezed a little, and that got them all to laugh. “You’re lucky I’m strong, or you’d have a panini for a boyfriend.”

Logan bit at his bicep, which was flexing under the strain of the two of them. “Ouais, so strong.”

“Strong and sexy,” Finn added, and Leo rolled his eyes hard. “All right, all right, c’mon. Breakfast will get cold.” He rolled off with a grunt. “I brought you water. Gotta stay hydrated, busy day.”

Logan moved off of Leo with a kiss to his back. “What are we doing? I thought we were on summer vacation?”

Finn’s eyes glinted. “Lots of things. Fun things.” He winked at them. “Taking-off-clothes things.”

Leo laughed as he stood up. “That sounds lovely, but I do have to run some errands today. And I told Reg I’d meet him for a late lunch after he’s done with his morning math camp.”

Logan shook his head. “I still have no idea why he chose to do math during the summer. With children.”

Leo shrugged as he took a sip of water from the glass Logan had handed him. “Me neither, but he likes it. Keeps him busy and ‘away from the lovebirds’, as he so lovingly calls Remus and Sirius.”

Finn scoffed. “Well, regardless, he is ruining my summer plans. Which, as I have mentioned, are lots of fun and do not require clothing.”

Leo kissed him before walking through the bedroom door. “Sorry, sweetheart. I promise, from three o’clock onwards, I’m all yours.”

Finn patted his ass firmly. “I’ll hold you to that.”

“I sure hope so.”

Finn and Logan stared at his retreating body. Finn groaned. “God, I can’t believe he just looks like that.” He looked down at Logan. “I can’t believe you look like that.” He pouted. “You won’t cancel our summer plans, will you?”

Logan just grinned up at him. “Noelle is visiting Thomas, so I did tell her I’d go skate with her at the indoor rink before lunch.”

Finn huffed and hung his head back. “Fuck, you two. Foiling everything.”

Logan put a hand behind his neck to kiss him sloppily. “Like Le said, this afternoon, I’m yours.” He smirked. “Maybe we tire Leo out enough that he sleeps.” Finn’s eyebrows shot up.

“I heard that!” came Leo’s voice from the kitchen. “Let’s go, I’m starving!” A pause. “Harz, these tomatoes aren’t so bad. I think I can salvage them by cutting off a few burnt bits.”

Finn groaned and rolled his eyes as he and Logan moved to the kitchen. “I’m sorry peanut. I really tried.”

Leo just grinned that beautiful pearly smile at him. “I know, sweetheart. I love you.”

Logan kissed Finn’s cheek as he smiled. “Love you, too. Love you both.” He narrowed his eyes. “Even if you are spoiling my summer plans.”

That just made them all laugh
