your writing is getting me through finals week 🙏🥹! That last fic was actually so cute I think it would be funny to see a boy who leo had “been with” in the past who maybe ended up at gryff university or something coming to one of the games with a sign and leo getting all flustered 😭. I’m a firm believer that leo had more situationships than just jack 🤮
This ended up being a very cute ask, so thank you! I am also a firm believer in showing how beautiful queer love can be in middle school/high school (like in Heartstopper). So meet someone who treated our Leo well, before Jack (ew) came into the picture and broke our sunshine's heart. But it's okay now- he's got two boyfriends who love him very, very much. <3
Keep the asks coming! All credits to @lumosinlove !!
“No way,” James laughed, mouthguard hanging out of his mouth and water bottle poised for a sip. “No fucking way! Nutty, you dog.”
Leo looked up from where he was in a butterfly stretch. “Huh? What do you mean?”
Sirius laughed at James’ waggling eyebrows. He jerked his chin to the glass. “You got an admirer there, nut.”
“Who?” Leo asked, confused expression on his face. “Is it Finn making faces again? Because I told him it distracts- oh.”
Across the ice a few rows up from the glass was a boy that looked like he was about Leo’s age with tan skin and dark, curly hair. He was in a Lions jersey, Leo’s own, and was holding a white sign above his forehead and smiling. Hi from NOLA! it said. We love #1! His friend beside him was laughing in his own Lions jersey.
Leo laughed and stood. He gestured to Layla, who was on the bench. “Layla, may you please pass me a puck and a sharpie?”
She nodded at him and bustled around for a puck and silver pen, handing them to him with a smile. “Do you know them?”
“Yeah, I went to school with one of them back home. I think he’s at Gryffindor University now, I saw it on his Instagram.” He wrote his signature with a smiley face and handed her back the pen. “Thanks, Layla. Be right back.”
She patted his head. “Off you go, nutter butter.”
James whistled at him while he skated away and Leo saw Finn lift his head up from where he had also been doing his warm-up stretches. Leo rolled his eyes playfully and made his way over to the glass. He smiled up and waved for the two boys to come down, and they hustled down the steps and stopped right in front of Leo.
“Enrique,” Leo greeted. “Long time no see. How are you?”
“‘Sup, Le,” Enrique answered.
He looked the same as he had when they were in middle and high school, a little gangly with bright white teeth and a sharp jawline. Leo remembered meeting him for the first time in 5th grade and being confused as to why his face flushed so hard. Flashbacks of tentative hand-holding and first kisses on an overnight school trip ran fondy through his mind. He remembered being young and unsure, and Enrique always being so gentle and kind.
Enrique seemed to be thinking the same thing, because he looked at Leo with a wide smile. “How’s the big show?”
“It’s good,” Leo said. He fiddled with the puck in his hand. “You studying at Gryff?”
“Yup! Math with a minor in anthropology.” He wrapped an arm around the boy beside him and noogied him in the head. “It’s how I met this history buff- we had a couple freshman classes together.” He lowered his arm to wrap gently around the boy’s waist and smiled up at him. “This is my boyfriend, Shan.”
Leo could feel his nose scrunching up with his smile. “Nice to meet you.”
“You, too,” Shan replied, a bit shyly. “It’s really cool to see you out here.”
Leo nodded. “Yeah, it feels good to be out here.” He tossed the puck up and down a few times in his fingers. “Hey, step back a little bit and put your hands up.”
Enrique did as told and deftly caught the puck that Leo tossed over the glass. Shan leaned over to look at it and read it as well, and they both looked up and smiled at him.
Suddenly, Leo felt a presence skate up to his side and watched both of their eyes widen. Leo bit his lip and turned to find Finn next to him. “Harz. This is Enrique and Shan.”
“Hello, lover,” Finn said, eyes twinkling. He looked over at the two boys. “Saw one of your friends had my jersey.” He smiled through the glass. “Hey, catch!”
Shan caught his own puck with a laugh. “Thanks, Harzy!”
Finn saluted. “No problem.” He wrapped an arm around Leo’s waist and squeezed gently. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to take my Leo here back to his goal so I can practice scoring on him.”
Leo nudged him gently. “Alright, alright.” He tapped a hand up to the glass. “It was good to see you, Enrique. You, too, Shan. Enjoy the game!”
“You, too!”
“Good luck!”
“Gentlemen,” Finn said, then tugged Leo to face him as the two boys went back to their seats. “Did you know them?”
Leo nodded. “Yeah, I went to school with Enrique.” He grinned down at Finn. “He was my first kiss on a middle school outdoor excursion trip.”
Finn froze for a second then broke out into a smile, his tongue sticking out a little. “Oh? And who kisses better?”
Leo snorted and tapped his helmet to Finn’s. “It was a first kiss, sweetheart. Nothing to write home about. And the boy he was with today is his boyfriend, they both go to college here.”
“Aw, that’s sweet.” Finn gave Leo a tap on the butt with his stick then snatched a puck. “Go get in goal, sunshine, I’ll shoot on you,” he said. As he skated towards the blue line, he turned around to look at Leo again. “Then we’ll go to home and FaceTime Lo while I kiss you stupid!”
Leo flushed at the chirps that got from their teammates, but smiled and narrowed his eyes as he turned to face Finn in his net.
Later, after they had a post-victory pasta dinner in their apartment, Leo was warm and flushed, pressed against the mattress by Finn’s body. Finn had called Logan with single-minded zeal, told him the story of warm-ups, and then had proceeded to kiss Leo into oblivion, Logan watching them eagerly from the iPad. Finn’s hands were all over Leo’s body and his lips somehow insistent and gentle. Leo felt like he was drowning and breathing clearly at the same time, caught in the whirlwind that was Finn’s focused attention. After what felt like hours, Finn pulled away, lips wet and red and hair a mess from Leo’s hands.
“So,” he began with a mischievous grin. “Who kisses better?”
Leo shook his head in amusement. “I told you, he was my first kiss. He’s probably way better at it now, and anyways, it’s not a competition.”
“Ouais, yes it is,” Logan said. He had his head resting on his hands and his green eyes were roaming up and down their bodies. “It’s always a competition. Allez, Le. Who’s better?”
“Guys, we were thirteen-”
“Leo.”
“I’m just saying, I’d feel weird comparing-”
But Finn interrupted him with a frustrated huff and bent to press his lips all over Leo’s neck and face. Leo laughed and wrapped his arms and legs around Finn’s body, head tilted up against the pillows and pliant. When Finn pulled away his face was serious but his eyes were twinkling. “You know there’s only one right answer, butter.”
Leo sighed and leaned up to kiss him. “You,” he said. He turned to smile at Logan, sated and content. “You, you, and you.”

Happy New Year 💕
The golden boy, the youngest glory
"Ready, Fish?"
With the back of his hand, Finn wiped the cold bead of water tickling the corner of his mouth. The half-empty bottle slipped from his grip and landed upright on the floor, narrowly missing the plastic box where Finn kept his beat-up tennis balls.
He blinked hard, trying to shake off the fatigue, and stretched out his back. He dabbed at his dripping forehead with the hem of his sweat-stained Puma tank top and rolled his tense neck with a satisfying pop.
It was a rare occasion when Finn and Alex were in the same place long enough to spend more than a few hours together, let alone an entire morning just for the two of them.
Back in New York, before Alex went off to college and Finn was selected to race in Formula 2 for the Scuderia Junior Academy, they had settled into a strict routine that Finn used to complain about all the time and now missed immensely. Weekdays began with a 5 a.m. alarm and a run under the early lights of an awakening city—a specific path around the neighborhood that set the tone for their frenetic lives of school, friends, and responsibilities. A path that always included long talks about anything and everything, and quick stops for coffee on the way home—hot when it was cold outside, to warm their frozen fingers; iced when summer mornings brought the sticky heat.
After two weeks of work at the factory—rushing between testing the latest upgrades, hard training, and repeating race simulations for the three upcoming Grand Prix—it had been a joy to come back to his brother in a place Finn had slowly come to call home.
That was until Alex had dragged him out of bed at six on a Saturday morning. They had run to the gym, following Finn's usual itinerary along the breezy promenade. Two hours of torturous exercise later—definitely not payback for the early wake-up call—Finn had asked Alex to help him with his reaction drills.
"Your turn," Finn now said, stealing the two lime-colored balls from his brother's hands.
Alex was about to protest but Finn cut him off. He positioned himself in front of him, legs spread, a tennis ball in each fist, raised to shoulder height. His dark red eyebrows were arched teasingly. "Come on, you always liked it."
"Fine," Alex grumbled, mirroring Finn's position and slightly bending his knees. His smile hid a hint of nostalgia. "But after this, you owe me breakfast."
"Bagels?" Finn offered.
"Duh," Alex scoffed and made a whole scene of getting into position for the drill, hands outstretched and ready, hovering over Finn's. "Okay, let's do this. How bad could—"
Finn dropped the first ball from his right hand. It fell fast past Alex's grasping hands and hit the floor with a loud bounce.
"Hey—"
Finn let go of the other. Alex reached out tentatively, but Finn caught it easily with a deft move, quicker than a blink.
"All right, Flash," Alex exhaled, rolling his annoyed eyes. "You've made your point. Can we go now?"
"Nope," Finn laughed. "One more."
He knew he was foolishly lingering, as impatient and excited as he was probably more than a little worried. But he could wait a little longer, just in case—at least until Alex finally caught the small ball and aimed it threateningly at Finn’s head.
In moments like this, though, Finn was sure there was nothing to worry about.
They headed back to Finn's apartment, pretending to get in one last jog, but quietly settling for a brisk walk, discussing serious business under the faint October sun.
What do you mean, Al? Of course the Rangers have the best goalie tandem in the league.
It was half past ten by the time Alex sat on a stool at the kitchen counter, his hair a damp mess from the shower, and eyed Finn skeptically. "Are you making breakfast?"
Finn didn't look up from where he was carefully halving a sesame bagel. "If I told you where these came from, you wouldn't believe me."
"Hmm, let me guess," Alex laughed. "Was it Mom's or Dad's idea?"
"Both?" Finn guessed. He went to the fridge for smoked salmon and cream cheese. "I said once that I was craving those bagels from that place down the street…"
"Oh, no..."
"Uh-huh," Finn chuckled, turning back to the kitchen island. "I mean, it's not like I can cook anything else, but—it was a whole mom’s I’m-just-sending-you-a-few-things sized box, and now the refrigerator is completely stuffed."
Alex hummed quietly in response—too quietly. He leaned over the counter, letting his head collapse into his hand. He picked up a fork and stole an uneven slice of tomato from the cutting board, giving Finn a funny look all the while.
"What is it?" Finn asked cautiously.
Alex shrugged and took a bite of the tomato. "Just waiting," he mumbled between chews.
"For?"
"Breakfast," Alex shot back when he caught Finn's suspicious look. "Oh, and for you to tell me why you're so jumpy today," he said around another bite.
Finn couldn't hide how desperately he'd hoped Alex would understand.
"Or, let's say..." At that, Finn was already laughing. "Whose second toothbrush might be in your bathroom, for example."
Busted. Finn smiled brightly. "She told you, didn't she?"
"Not exactly." Alex's voice wavered between guarded and uncontainable. "She texted me, 'You owe me fifty bucks,' and when I asked her why, she said I should ask you."
"You're both crazy," Finn snorted, then zeroed in on what Alex had just said. "Wait, you two bet on us? On your own siblings?"
"No—no. I mean," Alex rubbed a hand over the rising blush on his face. "It started as a joke and... you know Noelle. She was dying for me to know, but..." Finn saw Alex, always the journalist, choosing his words carefully. "Is it true though? Has it finally happened?"
"Finally—"
"Come on, Fish," Alex grunted.
Finn set the knife aside and sank onto a stool. He closed his eyes for a moment, letting out a carefree laugh, somehow in disbelief.
"It's true," he said quietly, watching with a lump in his throat as a sparkle of excitement lit up Alex's eyes. "We finally admitted that we—uh…"
"Are insanely in love with each other? This is shocking news to me—Finn!” Alex cackled as Finn threw a handful of capers at him. He stood up and stretched out his arms. "Come here, you idiot."
Finn stumbled towards him. How was he supposed to tell him how grateful he was? Alex’s hug was comfort, security in uncertainty. To Finn, having his brother by his side, supporting him every step of the way—it meant everything, far more than he could ever begin to say.
There were sudden, burning tears in his eyes—happy tears. And when Alex pulled back to ruffle his hair, Finn let them fall.
"Al..." his voice dropped to a whisper. "You think..." this is okay? Tell me it's okay. Am I allowed?
"You're okay, bud," Alex looked at him so proudly that Finn suddenly felt ten times lighter. "I'm so happy for you, you have no idea," Alex laughed giddily, voice cracking with emotion. "And I'm here for you, you know? We are, for both of you." He grabbed Finn's shoulders and squeezed them tightly.
"I'm..." Finn paused hesitantly. His thoughts raced back to Alex and Kasey—the injury, their sudden reunion after a long, odd silence. He had wanted to ask for a while, but hadn't known how. "I'm here for you, too. Okay?" He wiped at his own wet cheeks. "Anytime."
The frowny smile he got back, the quick nod... Maybe Alex wasn't quite ready.
"Thanks," was all he managed to say. So Finn padded silently back to his cooking station with what he hoped was a reassuring smile.
"Capers?" Finn asked then, busying himself again. He had his eyes on the food, but couldn't have missed the relieved look on his brother's face when he shot back a cheerful, "You know it.
The rest of the morning flew by. Around lunchtime, they found themselves sprawled out on the couch, scrolling through social media and the latest motorsports news. A classic. It was an old habit of Alex’s—diving into the gossipy side of sports journalism was actually part of his job. Years ago, they would spend hours like this in one of their bedrooms. Slow weekends, hot chocolate, just sniffing around this much-dreamed-of world that had felt far away at the time—fantasies of one day, maybe.
Now their names made front pages, and Finn's face graced magazine covers more often than not—cars, watches, fashion advertisements. Alex's signature was quiet beneath his pieces, yet striking, powerful, respected. Sometimes Finn wished he could stay as silent and just be. No more trending hashtags, no more crazy made-up theories about his love life every time he was spotted walking less than two feet from a woman. No more crowds waiting for him outside restaurants—places he knew would be perfect nooks for unforgettable date nights.
That one small, family-run restaurant in Cap D'Ail, a spot of white, light browns and strings of warm, soft lights floating in the air, gently swaying with the sea breeze that swirled around the terrace. Built on a cliff, intimate, framed by crystal clear water and the infinite hues of the night. The perfect setting for Logan's green eyes to shine and...
"Does Leo know?" Alex piped up.
Leo. Leo's stunning blue eyes.
Finn's head snapped to Alex. "What?"
"About you and Tremz," he said, slowly pushing himself up against the cushion. He flipped the phone in his hands a few times before adding, "You're always together these days...the three of you," and glancing past Finn, through the picture window.
The question fell out of the blue, so close to Finn's wandering thoughts that it startled him.
"He doesn't," Finn shook his head—an imperceptible nod, more to himself than anything. Something heavy sank deep into his core. Was it guilt?
"We—me and Lo, we... haven't talked about it yet. We were just thinking about telling you," he admitted. "You, Noelle, Aubrey, Syd. Our parents..."
Alex looked at him with curious eyes, a warm mirror reflection.
"But?" He prompted. Maybe he'd heard the unspoken words Finn was struggling to put together. And when he didn't answer, Alex pushed their elbows together.
"You can tell me, Fish," he blinked, offering him the safest of smiles.
Finn's phone buzzed where it lay unlocked on his thigh, giving him an unfairly convenient excuse to catch his breath before what felt like an imminent free fall.
He got a picture from Logan, a blurry shot of a bookshop window, the one Logan always took him to whenever they set foot in London together. But when a second picture popped up in the chat, Finn's heart did a complicated thing. At the sight of Logan's carefree smile, it fluttered in his chest. At Leo's matching grin, it began to race wildly. Where their cheeks were pressed together under layers of hats, hoods and dark sunglasses, Finn's heart settled peacefully. And then a bitter note of jealousy struck when he realized—did you two just go to Hatchards without me?? he typed frantically.
Logan's reply was immediate:
Got lots of books and stuff for you
Wait Leo says not to tell you
It's a surprise
<3
"Oh my God, look at you," Alex laughed loudly next to him—at him. "You're hopeless."
"Shut up," Finn muttered under his breath, suddenly embarrassed. His nervous fingers went to scratching the heavy stubble on his white-hot cheeks.
He looked at Alex again, willing himself to say something, anything. But his brother beat him to the word, once again.
"My next trip is in a month," Alex said. He was worrying the inside of his lips, his eyes unfocused. He was nervous too, Finn realized. "I'll stay here in Monaco for a while. At least while you guys are overseas..."
Finn stayed still and just listened.
"I can't let Nat go back and forth for three weeks in a row, and Kasey has rehab and doctor's appointments every other day, so... yeah," he looked back at Finn and gave a sharp nod. "It's been three weeks, but... they've been really, really good." Alex smiled, genuinely and sincerely. "And I tried to get out of the way, you know? I didn't want to... overstay my welcome or, like, intrude or anything..."
Again, the one thought that kept running through Finn's mind came up. "Have you ever... felt like that?"
"Never," Alex shook his head. "Not even once, and... I understand if you're worried that Leo might say something—"
It was Finn's time to nod in disagreement. "I trust him," he said. "I know we both do."
How could they not?
"Then let him in. Let him choose. Maybe he doesn't want to lose you as much as you don't want to lose him."
—
Finn's flight was scheduled for the next day at five and, quite surprisingly, his suitcases were already packed and waiting by the front door. He wasn't really looking forward to the long trip, especially now that Kasey, Logan and Leo couldn't be with him. At Silver's request, Logan had to stay in Silverstone and travel with his team, while Finn's new teammate, Kasey's temporary replacement, had flown to Austin early to meet his family.
After Alex had left, Finn had taken some time to let the day sink in. He'd FaceTimed his parents while he cleaned up the mess he and Alex had left in the kitchen, and then got ready for an early night. But as the sky grew darker and only a faint golden light filled the living room, Finn found himself still on hold, unconsciously waiting for that one call that had kept distance less far, less lonely, for so long. Nights of rambling and rants about busy days, sharing thoughts, opinions and advice about everything that was going on in two so similar, so far apart lives.
Logan's voice, his carefree laughs at Finn's silly jokes, even in those weeks that always felt like a race against time—those moments had always been a calming anchor. And somehow they had gotten even better lately, when blue eyes and dimpled smiles showed up more often than not on the same blurry screen, between cooking dinner for two, sharing books reviews, and seriously, Harzy, where do you even find the patience with this one? He's so annoying, just to hear Logan's offended gasps next to him.
Finn waited, socked feet on the coffee table and book in hand, under the warm, yellowish light of the reading lamp by the couch. He sank into chapter after chapter of a fantastical word—a novel Leo had lent him—until the insistent growling of his stomach became too distracting to ignore, calling for a quick take-out.
He scrolled through EatIn for a good five minutes. The notification of a message flashed across the top of the dim phone screen—a text from Kuny in the drivers' group chat, on top of five new emails and a pending software update. No call, no reply to his last text to Logan, left on read a few hours earlier.
Finally, Finn placed his usual sushi order and went back to reading, tossing the phone and his troublesome thoughts aside, just as the doorbell rang—once, twice, three times.
"Coming," he called, wondering who the front desk had let through when he wasn't expecting visitors. But any concern was quickly silenced as he swung the door open.
"Sushi delivery," said a beaming Leo, whose blond curls poked out of a black Silver Racing cap. He held up a handful of bags from Finn's favorite downtown Japanese restaurant.
"That was quick," Finn blurted out without thinking, gaping at the bags.
And then a soft snort brought his eyes up to two hilariously perplexed faces. "What?"
What? "Oh," Finn realized he was still staring, dumbfounded. "Hi—I mean, hi," he laughed at his high-pitched, surprised squeak, and almost leapt at Leo, looping his arms around his neck in a tight hug.
"Our dinner—" Leo tried to warn him between sweet chuckles, holding the bags out to Logan, who, Finn noticed, was delightfully looking at them with his head tilted to the side.
"How... what are you doing here?" Finn asked, pulling away from Leo's warm embrace.
"We brought you dinner, obviously," Leo said with a scoff, as if Finn had just asked something stupid.
"And presents," Logan lifted an off-white tote bag that seemed quite heavy even in his strong hands. The green embroidered logo on the front read Hatchards Books.
"As if you hadn't told him already," Leo drawled as he shot Logan a knowing look.
A devilish, very bite-able grin painted Logan's full lips, a little chapped from the English bitter cold, begging to be kissed better.
"You're so predictable, Lo," Finn snorted, reluctantly looking away and finally letting them in.
Logan blatantly ignored them, swatting Finn's ass with his bags on the way in. He waited for him as he locked the door and handed Finn the food with a sharp look and a soft whisper.
"Dinner upstairs?"
Ten short steps led from the living room balcony to what had once been a bare, spacious roof deck. The moment Finn had signed the papers to buy the attic, his father's keen eye and expert touch had redesigned it into a private sky lounge, a little gem overlooking the beating heart of Monte-Carlo and the features of a boundless coastline.
Finn turned on the patio heater. Its warmth added to the cozy atmosphere, blending with the light beige color of the lounge chairs and sectional sofa, and the wood accents of a large coffee table where Logan had chaotically placed three sets of chopsticks, along with a bottle of white wine, glasses, and various boxes of delicious-looking treats—all Finn's favorites, it seemed.
The outdoor lights were dim, allowing a few faint stars to twinkle high above their heads despite the city's harsh reflections. Finn caught Leo standing next to the glass railing with his nose tilted skyward and a star-struck smile lighting up his peaceful face.
"I'd run for the dumplings," Finn said as he joined him, "if you want a chance with that one around."
They both turned in time to catch Logan red-handed with half a gyoza dangling from his mouth.
"Quoi?" he munch-mumbled. "I'm hungry!"
Their laughter blossomed in unison, louder to Finn's ears than the rumble of the plane passing low overhead, and the hum of traffic below.
Logan's green eyes, dark in the faint light of the night, narrowed on them.
"So very predictable, indeed," Leo said as Finn gently led him to the table. His hand wavered on the small of Leo's back, tentative—until Logan flashed him a mindful look that sent goosebumps up Finn's arms.
"Whose team are you on, Knut?" Logan teased, making room for Leo on the sofa as Finn took one of the loungers.
"I'm afraid I'm legally obligated to say yours." Leo stretched one arm out over the back cushion, putting on a thoughtful expression. "Something about a non-compete clause in my contract, I'm not sure. Besides," he turned to Finn, nose wrinkled around a fine sheen, "my mama would probably disown me if I said otherwise..."
"Ha!" Logan pointed a mocking finger at Finn.
"...but my dad, on the other hand..."
"Excuse you, I'm right here—"
"Oh, no, no, no," Leo tutted. "We're not going there, nuh-uh. I hear enough bickering from those two. Feel free to discuss the matter with my parents next weekend."
"Are they coming to the race?" Finn asked.
"Yeah," Leo's smile grew so wide it must have hurt. "Haven't seen them in a while... and the U.S. Grand Prix is sort of a family tradition. Only this time..."
"You won't be on the stands," Logan said softly.
"Pretty special, huh?" Finn felt the hook of Logan's telltale gaze as their eyes met—he’s sweet.
"Three days Paddock pass-special," Leo nodded, and Logan whistled low under his breath, drawing a contagious laugh from both of them.
"I really don't know how they're gonna react when they meet you." Leo's ocean blue eyes were lost in the night sky, then suddenly hesitant as he spoke again, "Only if you... um, want to... of course."
Finn peeked back at Logan, who nodded briefly. There was still so much they could do for him. But for now, Finn was having fun. He crossed his arms and tipped his chin up in a very well practiced offended frown.
"I don't see why," he said in a low voice. "It's not like I'm everyone's favorite around here."
"Are you kidding—" Leo started just as Logan whispered, "He likes all the attention," loud enough for Finn to hear.
Leo kicked him in the shin with one of his long legs and snorted a laugh, "Wait till you meet Wyatt Knut. Oh, I know he's gonna lose it."
With burning cheeks, Finn crossed his legs on the soft cushion and grabbed a pillow for his lap. "Well," he picked up a box from the table and his chopsticks. "Let's hope the rookie doesn't steal my scene then."
"Oh, right," Logan said, casually stealing a salmon nigiri from Leo's plate. "Who's filling in for Kase?"
"Oh?" Finn frowned in confusion. "I thought the news was out. The team decided to give our junior driver a chance."
It was almost imperceptible, but Finn was sure Leo lost a little color in his face around a hard swallow. He reached for his glass and took a small sip of the bubbling wine Logan had poured for them.
"Really?" Logan sounded surprised. "Isn't Archer running in F2?"
"He's twenty-something points off the lead," Finn pointed out. "And his next race is Abu Dhabi. He might as well take a shot at this instead."
"Sorry, guys," Leo got up from the couch. "I need to use the bathroom. Be right back," he murmured before hurrying to the stairs.
Finn shifted just in time to see Leo disappear into the house. "Is he okay?"
"You're such a worrier, mon cœur."
Finn's eyes followed the sound of Logan's soothing voice. "I know..."
"I missed you," Logan whispered, and warmth spread through Finn's veins, chasing away the brisk cold on his skin.
"I missed you too, baby. This is the best surprise ever."
"Couldn't wait until Monday," Logan's jaw twitched around a gentle smile. "And... we both kind of needed a breath of fresh air."
"Huh? What's going on?"
Logan shook his head, lips pressed into a hard line. "Silver's dropping the bomb about the Blacks and the partnership deal. Tomorrow. Press is going to be all over it..."
Finn leaned forward, elbows on his knees. One hand moved up to pinch his lips, to rub his jaw. He sucked in a lungful of air. "'What'd Sirius say?"
"He thinks we can divert any unwanted attention with the reveal of the special livery."
"And what about you two?"
"Leo should be fine, I think... And I promised not to curse at reporters this time." Logan's faint smile turned mischievous. "And to make it to Sunday without getting fined by the FIA."
Finn dug his thumb and forefinger into his eyes. "It's going to be one of those weekends, huh?"
"Ugh," Logan groaned just as desperately. "I really don't want to think about it." He took his glass from the table and tipped it to Finn, eyes growing soft, finally seeming to relax, but still tinged with concern. "At least I got you, non?"
Finn followed suit, raising his own glass in a silent toast. "Always, baby."
—
The Circuit of the Americas lived up to every driver's expectations. Finn was no stranger to the demanding, yet satisfying feeling of piecing together the perfect lap between steep uphills, tight hairpins and sequences of fast, flowing corners. Nor was he unfamiliar with the energy, the wild atmosphere that usually painted the entire weekend in shades of red, blue and white stars. From the grandstands and garages to the decorated run-offs of the track, everything mirrored the Lone Star flag waving proudly near the crest of the Turn 1 hill.
That's how Finn found himself walking around the paddock on Thursday morning in a bright red t-shirt and blue jeans, struggling to adjust the cowboy hat perched on top of his misbehaving hair. It was a bit of a cliché, a tradition of the United States Grand Prix that everyone had embraced over the years—including a rather amused Remus Lupin, who was busy chatting with Lily Evans by the team hospitality entrance.
"Look who finally made it to work," Remus sneered when he saw Finn coming.
"Blah blah blah. I missed you too, Loops," Finn said, sidestepping to hug Lily instead. "What's up, Lils?"
"Looking good, O'Hara," she said, tipping the wide brim of her velvet camel hat. It matched Remus', sitting perfectly on his sandy blond hair.
"What are you two up to?"
"Gossiping, mostly," Lily said, beaming with faux innocence. "Oh, and technically looking for my husband. I kind of lost him between breakfast and the five minutes I was in the shower."
"Sirius left early too," Remus began, stumbling over his words as a faint blush crept to the tips of his ears. "I think—he… uh. He texted me pretty early, yeah."
"Right," Finn said. He watched unconvinced as Lily failed, rather spectacularly, to hide a wicked grin. "Any sign of Logan? Leo?"
Logan had snuck out of Finn's room at dawn with a thousand kisses and the promise of more cuddles later that night, but no further explanation.
"Haven't seen them around." Remus shrugged, "But the event starts in..." He checked his watch. "About fifteen minutes. Maybe they're already at the Paddock Club or—"
"Holy—shit," Lily's voice dropped to a breathless whisper, her green eyes wide.
Finn and Remus turned in sync to… quite the view.
"Did you... did you know about this?" Finn thought he heard Remus ask. To whom, he couldn't say.
Now Finn would have answered, if words hadn't deserted him. If the deeply unbuttoned shirt that fit Logan's shoulders under a fringed green vest hadn't been too distracting. Or the denim jacket and light blue bandana tied softly around Leo's neck, perfectly framing his sharp lines—a sliver of sunshine in a bright, cloudless sky. Leather boots, belts, and wide-brimmed brown hats completed the look of the four Silver boys as they casually strutted toward them.
A wave of searing heat spread from Finn's chest to his hips, slowly burning him from the inside out.
"Howdy," James greeted in first—washed denim jeans and a bad impression of a Southern accent. He swooped in to pull an awe-struck Lily into a hard kiss.
Behind him, Sirius, Logan, and Leo were quiet, looking somewhat embarrassed, confident, and resigned at the same time.
"Well, hello, cowboys," Lily laughed, her eyes flitting curiously between them. "Anyone care to explain?"
Finn had to glance at Remus then, who was also uncharacteristically silent. Their eyes met briefly and they both pretended they didn't look like someone had just slapped them hard in the face.
Sirius was the first to speak. Finn dared a closer look at Logan and then at Leo, eyebrows arching in interest at their twin smirks.
"A special livery requires special attire, doesn't it?" Sirius began tentatively, as if trying to convince himself. He pointed his thumbs at his loose black shirt.
"And, oh-so-casually," James spun around to show off his outfit, "we have a Hugo Boss collab to rock."
"And press to distract, apparently..." Leo added, crossing his arms and ankles in one elegant motion.
Very, very distracting indeed, thank you.
Logan pasted on his fakest smile. "Oh, and I'm retiring by the end of the season—ow!” he grunted a laugh as Leo flicked the back of his head. "Knutty."
It struck him then, unbidden and consuming. A lightning bolt from the bluest of skies. An electric spike swept over Finn's entire body, this time tightening his chest. It was undeniable how Logan and Leo glowed next to each other. Whether it was on track, with Leo's firm voice listing strict instructions in Logan's ears. At night, sitting at a kitchen table, miles away from Finn, telling him bits and pieces of their days. And here, in the middle of a semi-desert paddock, dressed in glamour for no sensible reason at all—those two shone like the brightest stars in the firmament before Finn's eyes.
Suddenly, Finn longed to feel how Leo so beautifully coaxed that rare bliss out of Logan, carefree laughs and heart-melting smiles that Finn knew were private, exclusive. Breaths he'd kissed from his mouth, yearned for and cherished. And intriguing tastes that Finn now secretly craved.
The most perfectly complicated knot of feelings.
"Fish?" Logan's touch was warm on his forearm.
"Yeah?"
"See you later?"
Finn could only nod, blinded by forest green and cornflower blue and the pungent scent of two perfectly layered colognes.
They all left, Lily in tow, snuggled between James' and Sirius' arms, abandoning Finn and Remus in a deafening silence that grew louder with every stray, passing voice.
"We should..." Remus cleared his throat.
"Yep, yeah."
"Okay. Harz," he muttered, his words muffled as he dragged a hand across his face. "You're off to... Sky Sports and Viaplay. Flash interviews. Then we're doing the track walk together."
"Always so romantic, Loops," Finn casually threw an arm around Remus' shoulders. "Hey, you know who's up for the drivers' press conference?"
"They want the new guy. You're boring old stuff, my friend."
"Damn," Finn sighed. "Not complaining, but... ouch."
"It's the circle of life." Remus elbowed him playfully before looking up with a small, knowing smile—subtle. "We're screwed, huh?"
"Oh man," Finn huffed out a loud laugh. "Aren't we?"
—
"Espresso."
Natalie's voice broke the early morning quiet of the team's hospitality lounge.
"Macchiato," she groaned, flopping into an armchair in the coffee area where Finn was busy topping his cappuccino with cinnamon. "And make it double, please, and thank you."
Finn's free hand snapped to his forehead in an over-the-top salute. "Yes, ma'am."
"Fucking jet lag."
Finn grabbed a cup and started the coffee machine. "Up all night again?"
"I think I slept... like eight hours in three days."
"Yikes," Finn winced. He let a cloud of foamed milk swirl into the dark, fragrant brew, then sprinkled some cocoa powder on top. "This calls for extra sugar."
"Definitely," she mumbled.
Finn set the steaming cup on a saucer. He placed it on a small tray along with a teaspoon, a tiny basket of sugar packets, and a couple of warm, buttery mini croissants.
"There you go." He laid the tray on the glass table in front of her and sank into the nearest armchair.
"Wow, Freckle," Natalie marveled dozily, her words fading into a drawn-out yawn. "Five-star treatment."
"Seems much needed," Finn scrunched his nose as he reached for his own coffee.
"You and me both." She pointed between their faces, clearly noting the purple circles under his eyes. "What's keeping you up?"
"No clue," Finn lied, and Natalie shot him a look.
"You really think," she paused to take a small sip of coffee, unfazed. "You can hide something from me, of all people?"
Finn couldn't help the small, wry smile that twitched his lips. "You'd be surprised," he murmured around the rim of his cup.
"What was that?"
"Nothing," he blurted, unable to escape her inquisitive gaze. "I guess I'm just worried, that's all."
"Hm. And does that have anything to do with a certain hot-tempered brunet? Say, someone throwing threatening death glares at anyone with a microphone within a mile radius?"
"That's overprotective Logan Tremblay to you."
Finn omitted the details, of course. The past couple of nights spent with Logan curled up in his arms—a bundle of nerves. Jaw clenched, teeth gritted, falling asleep as morning light spilled through the window, voiceless and exhausted, with Finn's fingers still tangled in his hair, a familiar touch to hold on to.
"Is this about the—" Natalie air quoted, "—Black Gate? The cowboy thing didn't work out?"
Finn nodded briefly, utterly drained.
"Damage control for Sirius' sake." He shook his clouded head. "But of course everyone is hungry for more. It's a pretty big deal, the Blacks leaving Silver. Who would believe the sudden 'mutual decision' to end a ten-year partnership?"
"As if it was anyone else's business."
"And all forgotten by Monday, as usual. But in the meantime we're stuck with a couple of mad drivers in full guard mode."
Finn's fingers tapped nervously on the cooling ceramic of the cup, restless. "And then... there's Leo."
Out of his sunny, always catching energy.
"Leo?"
"He seems a little... stressed. I don't know."
Tired, maybe. Shadowed by a veil of worry that Finn couldn't chalk up to pressing media attention alone.
"I just wish there was something I could do to help."
Natalie studied him for a long moment, her brown eyes sweeping across his face. Finn saw the ghost of a wistful smile when she clicked her tongue. "There's something special about you O'Haras, huh?"
It startled a small laugh out of Finn, warm and incredulous. "I'm not sure where that comes from, but I'll take it as a compliment."
The front door cracked open. It caught their attention, revealing a bright, fresh face in the doorway.
"Buongiorno!" Jack Archer chanted in thickly accented Italian. He walked in, proudly wearing his brand new team uniform, complete with a red baseball cap flipped backward over his dark hair.
"Look at you go," Finn held out his arm for a quick fist bump. "Already embracing the team culture."
Natalie simply waved a hand. "Morning, baby rookie."
Archer smiled back at her as he leaned against the counter. "How's Kasey?"
"Oh, he's annoying me, so... way much better."
"Bet he wanted to come," he quipped.
"Ha. He tried to talk me into coming once or twice, but..." She took a steadying breath, then looked at Finn with such gentle, guarded fierceness that left him speechless. "I know for sure I left him in very, very good hands."
Jack nodded sympathetically, looking between them. "Glad to hear that."
"How about you?" Finn jumped in. "Ready for today?"
It was Archer's first ever Formula One qualifying. Finn remembered how emotional that felt—the fervent, uncontainable energy, the anticipation, and the urgency to prove yourself worthy of the privilege of sitting in such a prestigious spot. He could see the same thrill glinting in Jack's blue eyes.
"So ready," he laughed, bouncing a little on his feet. "But hey, I wouldn't mind some good advice."
"Anytime. Actually, we can..." Finn began, pulling the phone out of his pocket. "Okay, I have to be somewhere in... shit, well, ten minutes ago, but," he stood up and patted Archer on the shoulder, already poised to sprint out. "Catch you before FP3?"
"Yeah, totally," Jack's eyes lit up. "Thanks, man."
"O'Hara," Natalie called. Finn had barely taken a step toward the door. "Are you sure you're not forgetting anything?"
"Jesus," Finn did a double take and grabbed the envelope she held out between her manicured fingers. "What would I do without you?"
Natalie rolled her eyes, the outline of a wry smile curling her full lips. "Get out of here."
The paddock was alive, too loud and too hot for mid-fall Saturday morning. Finn had to stop a few times for autographs, pictures and good luck wishes before he finally made it to the Silver Hospitality forecourt.
Leo spotted him in the distance and waved cheerfully. He looked better than he had all week, his eyes less somber, though still too weary for Finn's liking. But it was a welcome sight that somehow helped Finn calm his nerves.
Leo was holding a blonde woman close to him, chatting excitedly with a slightly embarrassed Logan. A tall, also blond man stood at their side. The fine features the three of them shared were unmistakable.
As it turned out, Eloise and Wyatt Knut were exactly as Leo had described them, a force of nature brimming with energy, high spirits and unbelievable kindness—traits Finn had long recognized in their son.
Leo had his mother's eyes and her same sharp wit. Finn had soon found himself wrapped in a motherly hug, warm and loving, as Eloise thanked him over and over for no particular reason. Though she didn't miss the chance to slip in a cheeky remark about him racing for the wrong team—you should really consider moving to Silver, honey. The three of you would make the best team out there—coloring Leo's light skin several shades of red.
Wyatt Knut was just as energetic, though a little more reserved. Finn could tell by the way he'd squeezed his hand in his own that he was holding back his excitement, while his well-worn Scuderia cap spoke volumes.
Finn and Logan had planned to surprise them upon their arrival on Friday, but by the time they had finished debriefing after the free practice, Leo had essentially kidnapped his parents and disappeared. He was glad, though, if Leo's better mood had anything to do with it.
Now, between conversations, Finn noticed Logan eyeing the envelope in his hands and nodding his head in encouragement.
"Boys," Eloise said with an angelic smile, "we shouldn't keep you any longer, I'm sure you're quite busy."
"Actually, Mrs. Knut—"
"Finn, please. It's Eloise for you."
"Right," Finn chuckled, rubbing a hand over his neck as he sought Logan's eyes for support. "Well, these are for you," he opened the envelope Natalie had secured for him and pulled out two golden VIP passes.
"Guys..." Leo breathed, his startled gaze bouncing between them.
"Consider yourselves our guests of honor," Logan said. "For a full race weekend experience. You can do the grid walk on Sunday if you'd like. And watch all the sessions from our garages."
"Both," Finn added playfully, turning to Wyatt. "Whichever you prefer."
Wyatt clasped Finn's shoulder, then Logan’s—a silent, heartfelt smile tugging at his thin lips. Eloise's grateful embrace carried the same fondness Finn saw in Leo's glazed stare. He shot him a wink just as Logan bumped into his side.
"You shouldn't have to..." Leo whispered softly.
Finn felt the sudden urge to tell him that he'd do anything to see him this happy, always. He knew from the look on Logan's face, scenically playing the annoyed roll of eyes, that he was tightly holding onto similar thoughts.
But this was neither the time nor the place. Finn had already spotted a few TV crews creeping around and the last free practice session was about to start.
Besides, he had no idea what the hell was going on with him. What was he meant to make of any of these thrumming needs?
He accepted the tenth round of thanks, an invitation to dinner at the best steakhouse in town according to Leo, another warm hug from Eloise, and a fierce good luck, son from an ecstatic Wyatt Knut—the silky lanyard of his pass already hanging around his neck.
Before he left, Logan put on one of those wicked smiles that Finn wished he could always bite off his lips.
"See you on track, O'Hara," he jabbed, making everyone laugh.
"Yeah," Finn smiled. It was a relief to see that some of the worry had slipped from Logan's scratchy, sleep-deprived voice.
Finn loved him. God, he loved Logan immensely. But right then he knew he had to focus on himself and his performance, to keep an overload of problems at bay.
After all, he'd made himself a promise. He had a championship to win, against none other than the man of his dreams—and his race engineer at his side. Two people who somehow managed to make Finn feel so overwhelmingly good.
And helplessly confused.
"Good luck, Tremblay."
The car felt incredible, sharp and consistently balanced even on the hot track. The first two qualifying rounds had flowed as smoothly as water and Finn was confident he could secure a solid pole position, setting himself up for a much needed win tomorrow.
Now the lights in Finn's box were vivid, as urgent as his need to get back on track and run the car in those milder sunset shades for the last stint of the day. He sat in the cockpit and waited while the mechanics made their final adjustments.
As he peeled the smudged tear-off from his visor, Remus' voice crackled through the radio.
"Harz, we're putting on a new set of soft."
Finn pressed the yellow radio button on the steering wheel. "Sounds good."
"And—I need you to improve the middle sector."
"What's the last lap time?"
"1:37.017," Remus spelled out. "Logan's is tied with James' at .214."
Good, but not enough, Finn thought. Logan had this innate, annoyingly brilliant ability to set the perfect lap with the clock about to run out. One last flying lap to get those couple of tenths out of nowhere, just when everyone else thought he didn't have the right pace.
"Archer’s going out first," Remus added. "He's instructed to give you slipstream if you think you'll need it."
Finn and Kasey had used the tactic countless times, helping each other secure at least one spot on the front rows of the grid. Jack wasn't new to these tricks, of course, and after a long talk that morning, Finn trusted him to deliver as well.
Archer hadn't needed advice, exactly—more like reassurance and a nudge to tackle the new challenge with confidence.
As presumptuous as it might have seemed, though, Finn didn't want Jack's help. He knew he held all the cards to perform at his peak. And maybe—just like the young rookie he'd been a long time ago—Finn desperately needed to prove something to himself once more.
"Thanks, guys," he simply replied.
"Let's bring it home, man."
Amazing speed through the twentieth and final corner for Thomas Walker, but no further improvement. Nadeau, however, crosses the finish line with a fastest third sector and goes sixth to beat his teammate.
Logan Tremblay takes provisional pole as O'Hara starts his flying lap with the session nearing its end. Here comes Potter across the line to move up to second—and we have a Silver front row for now. Halla does improve, but remains fourth behind Archer—an amazing Saturday for the rookie, who'll have the chance to start his first Formula One race from second row tomorrow.
Fastest sector one for Finn O'Hara as he makes his way through some traffic out there. Once again Tremblay vs. O'Hara for pole is our battle.
Absolutely phenomenal in this car, finding more time down the high speed straight—and it's another purple sector for the American driver.
More traffic coming in between turns 13 to 15 as most cars in-lap on their way to pit lane, but—whooa, my goodness. That's a close call for O'Hara with his teammate going into Turn 16!
It was an instinctive reflex.
Finn hadn't fully registered what had just happened in front of him. He braked, hard enough to tip his car to the left, over the curb and into the run-off, narrowly avoiding contact. His flying lap was completely ruined.
"Remus," he gasped over the radio.
He'd sounded too calm to his own ears, even as blood began to boil in his veins, mixing with a wild rush of adrenaline. Someone had just cost him the pole. Someone had deliberately moved into the middle of his lap and almost caused a massive crash. Not just someone, Finn realized with a flash of clarity, but his own teammate.
Remus' voice was apprehensive. "Yeah, we saw that, Harz..."
"That was fucking—"
"I know, I know," Remus promptly cut him off. He knew better than to let Finn cause a scene that anyone could hear. "Just come back to the box, please. We'll discuss this later."
Not a single word came out of Finn’s mouth as he drove to the Parc Fermé. He jumped out of the car, steering wheel in hand, and quietly followed the other drivers to the pit lane. A cameraman tracked him all the way to his box, probably expecting him to react, or maybe snap like some drivers used to—like Logan sometimes did. Finn just kept his helmet on and the dark visor down.
He had expected to find Remus there, ready to apologize for a mistake that wasn’t even his fault. Finn knew he would try to explain with his steady, calming manner that there was nothing they could do. Whatever happened between teammates never got penalized by the stewards. It stayed between team walls.
Instead, standing outside his garage, shoulders hunched and a restless hand tormenting his soft-looking curls, was Leo.
"Harzy," he almost jumped on his feet when he saw Finn. "Are you okay?"
"Le?" Despite everything, Finn found himself smiling. He raised the visor to meet Leo's anxious eyes. "What are you doing here?"
"I..." Leo let out a long sigh of relief. "I'm so sorry, Finn. Are you hurt?"
"What? No," Finn undid the helmet and slid it off his head, along with the balaclava. "Leo, I'm fine. It was just impeding."
"I know, I..." he began, and glanced towards the mixed area where Archer was being interviewed.
So he'd made it to the top three…
When Leo turned his back to Jack, he looked even more freaked out than before. "You... It looked bad—on screen. The bounce on the curb..."
"I'm fine," Finn repeated, reaching out to grab his arm reassuringly. "Are you, though?"
"Yeah. Yeah, sorry. I just..." Leo swallowed hard. "I wanted to make sure he didn’t—"
"He fucking impeded you?!" Logan's thunderous voice made them both spin around.
"Lo," Finn shot him a warning look. "Not here."
"What the fuck?"
"I know." Finn took a deep breath. "I need to talk to Remus first, but... He's young, guys. Honestly I’ve seen senior drivers doing worse than that."
Logan crossed his arms, an angry frown tightening his lips. "Still."
"Listen," Finn ran a hand over his sweaty hair, his pulse suddenly jumping. The onslaught of feelings he'd experienced in the last forty-eight hours was surreal. He felt defeated, frustration still seething at the edges of his fist, clenched around the chin bar of his helmet. Exhausted for too many reasons at once.
And yet there stood a glimpse of hope—fierce eyes staring at him… protectively, he realized.
"You two shouldn't worry about me, okay? I promise, I'm fine. I just need to put an end to this crazy day and get out of my head for a minute."
Leo nodded understandingly. "We can call off dinner if you'd rather—"
"Please don't," Finn said. It came out almost like a plea. "Dinner with the Knuts is exactly what I need right now."
"Ouais," Logan agreed, watchful eyes fixed on Finn's. He was trying to read between the lines, something he'd learned a long time ago—always finding his way to Finn. "Me too."
A full, bright smile split Leo's lips. "Okay, one more thing. Then I better go before Sirius kills me," he said. He sounded a little giddy. "My parents want to invite you to stay with us next week, just so you know. They were over the moon about the tickets."
"Really, it was nothing," Logan said, and Finn’s heart melted in his chest.
"You don't have to say yes," Leo urged. He took a step back towards the pit stall, grinning innocently, "And you definitely didn't hear this from me. But we'd love to have you guys over."
With a soul-crushing wink, Leo walked away. Logan's sharp breath filled the next beat of silence.
"Rouge."
"Hm?" Finn whispered back. He noticed out of the corner of his eye that Logan was staring after Leo, too.
They turned to each other, keeping a short distance between them—just two drivers confronting each other after a tough qualifying session.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Logan asked.
"I love it when you call me Rouge."
"Finn."
"I told you, I'm fine."
"That wasn't fair."
"It wasn't," Finn admitted.
"Beginner's luck," Logan grumbled.
Finn's mouth shifted to the side, one corner lifting slightly. A bead of sweat slid from a rebellious lock of Logan’s dark hair onto his temple. Finn watched, mesmerized, as it traced its way around the crinkle of Logan’s eye, down to the corner of his full mouth, along his jaw, and finally dropped from his flushed face.
"Come on, Tremz. I'll overtake the rookie and chase you down as fast as I can. You have my word."
"Ah," Logan lost some of his fight at that. "Bet you won’t catch me, though."
"Oh-ho," Finn bit his lips. Something about that Logan smile drove him crazy. "Try me. I can give you a head start tonight," he murmured.
"Non," Logan laughed. "We have a race tomorrow, in case you forgot."
"Right," Finn inched closer. Logan didn’t so much as blink.
"A race I'm going to win. And then..."
It wasn’t much of a choice for Finn when it came to it. Had he imagined spending every second of their free time glued to Logan's side? Absolutely. Had Finn already pictured a beaming Leo showing them around his childhood home? Walking them through streets, corners, places he'd grown up in? Maybe.
Besides, they had already been thinking about a nice, short escape before flying to Mexico City—just the three of them.
"A quick detour to New Orleans?" To Finn, it sounded like the perfect golden mean.
Green eyes glinted at him, almost in awe. The last rays of sun framed Logan's tan skin like gold.
"Parfait, mon amour."

“Sweetheart!” Leo called from their bedroom, holding a towel around his hips. “I’m just gonna get changed, then when Lo’s back we can all go.”
“Wait!”
There was the thunderous thudding of footsteps then Finn was sliding through their bedroom door on his socks, slipping a bit on the hardwood. Leo blinked hard and held out a hand to catch him. “Whoa.”
“Sorry.” He skipped around and jumped dramatically onto the bed, sitting straight-backed on the edge with his hands folded, a goofy smile on his face. “Okay, ready.”
Leo laughed, confused. “What?”
“I said, I’m ready. For you to get changed.”
“Oh, you’re ready, are you?” Leo teased. He dropped his towel and turned around to dig through their underwear drawer. When he got no response, he turned his head to look at Finn again over his shoulder. “Honey?”
“Hm?” Finn’s eyes were very obviously not focused on Leo’s face. “Sorry, what?”
Leo smiled, pulling on a pair of boxers- and ignoring Finn’s sad whine- before going to stand in between his thighs. He cupped his face gently. “I love you.”
Finn’s eyes were the warmest brown, and his smile made Leo feel light. “I love you, too.” He wrapped his arms tightly around Leo’s waist and pressed his face into his chest with a squeeze. “You’re so beautiful.”
Leo made a happy sound and scratched a hand through Finn’s hair. He placed a kiss on the top of his head. “So are you.” He gasped at Finn’s playful bite to the skin right beside his nipple. “Ouch.”
“Mm,” Finn hummed, eyes playful. “I could just eat you up. Can I, please?”
“No time.”
“You sure? We could-”
But he was interrupted by the sound of keys scratching at the door, then the clink of them plopping into a bowl.
“Salut, I’m home!” Logan called.
Finn gasped. “Wait!” He stood and kissed Leo quickly. “Stay right here, don’t move a muscle. I don’t wanna see another piece of clothing on you.”
“Okay?”
“‘Be right back!” Finn sing-songed, then he was sliding back out the door. Leo heard him talking to Logan in the living room. “Hey, baby, you need to change?”
“Ouais, I need to put on something nicer, I-”
“Great! Let’s go.”
A laugh. “Rouge-”
Then Finn was slipping once more through the doorway, Logan in tow and stumbling behind him. They were both laughing. Logan’s posture relaxed when he saw Leo, smile going soft. “Salut.”
“Hi.”
“Oh-kay!” Finn once again jumped dramatically onto the bed, this time sat up against the pillows with his feet crossed. He waved his hand with a flourish, rings catching the light for a moment, and dipped his head. “You may proceed.”
Logan laughed, confused. “Quoi?”
“I said, you may proceed. With the changing of clothes.” He folded his hands in his lap. “I am but a mere spectator.”
Logan looked to Leo, but Leo just shrugged. “I was just told to not put a shirt on.”
Logan laughed. “Well,” he said, looking Leo up and down. “I support that.”
Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “Shut up.”
“Non, non.” Logan stepped into his space. He took his hand and kissed his wedding band and engagement ring, then looked up with content green eyes. “I didn’t get a kiss yet.”
Leo smiled against his mouth and kissed him softly. “Hi.”
“Hi.”
“Hi.” Finn was now twiddling his thumbs. “May we please continue with the undressing?”
Logan tisked. “I thought we were changing.”
“Ugh,” Finn groaned. “Stupid dinner party.”
Logan shook his head fondly, reaching behind himself to pull his shirt off. “The kids are excited, though, they spent the whole day at Sirius’ just talking about the lamb Celeste is cooking.”
“The Dumais are not kids anymore, honey,” Leo pointed out, now searching for his nice pants.
“Yes they are, Knutty,” Logan protested, unbuttoning his shorts. “They’re still kids.”
“Kids in high school. And college.”
“Non.”
A low whistle sounded from the bed, interrupting their movements. “Goddamn. This view never gets old.”
Leo and Logan both turned to look at Finn, who was biting his lip around a grin, warm eyes roving all over their bodies. He looked kind of like a kid on Christmas, Leo thought as he made to step into his pants.
“Wait,” Finn said suddenly. “Wait, not yet.”
Leo clucked his tongue. “Finn, we’ve gotta get dressed. And plus, you’ve seen us naked a thousand times, it’s not like it’s anything new.”
“Actually,” Finn responded, holding a singular finger up. “I see you naked about three times a day, roughly, so that’s way more than a thousand times in a single year. And we’ve been together for, what, how many years? So it’s probably closer to ten thousand by now.” He shifted to the edge of the bed and stood, coming to take the pants from Leo’s hands and put them on the dresser. “But that’s not the point.” He wrapped his arms gently around Leo’s waist. “Baby, I could see you naked a billion times and I would never get enough of you. I just…” He rubbed a hand up and down Leo’s ribs with a smile. “I love your bodies so much.”
Leo felt his cheeks heat. “Oh.”
“Yeah, oh. C’mere,” Finn said, opening an arm for Logan to tuck into his side. “Do you want to know what my favorite part of sex is?”
“Wow, that took a turn,” Leo said drily. “Okay?”
“I love,” Finn started. “The beginning and the end. When I just get to touch you, to hold you. Like, forget the whole, like, giving you pleasure- though I am a big fan of that as you well know. Big fan. Huge.”
Logan laughed into Finn’s jaw, nuzzling his skin with his nose. “Allez.”
Finn let out a sigh and pressed his nose into Logan’s hair, gentle eyes peeking out at Leo. “You could tell me you never wanted to have sex again and I would still, every morning and every night, want to kiss every inch of you.” As if to emphasize his point, he pressed a kiss to Logan’s temple, then one to Leo’s cheek. “I love the way your waists fit in my hands. The way your legs wrap around me. The strong muscles of your chests, the soft warmth of your skin.”
Leo felt his eyes suddenly get a little warm and he blinked hard. An insecure feeling worked its way up his throat. “Finn.”
Finn gripped him harder around the waist. “No, baby, don’t cry.” He kissed a tear that fell down Leo’s cheek, then his lips a few times for good measure. “Sunshine, don’t cry.”
“No, it’s just-” Leo sniffed, reaching up to wipe under his eyes. “Our bodies aren’t always going to look like this.”
“And that’s okay,” Finn whispered, resting their foreheads together. “Baby, that’s okay.” He let out a shaky sigh. “I can’t think of any way your body could look and I wouldn’t love it just as much as I do now.”
“Mon soleil,” Logan whispered. He had turned and was now tucked into Leo’s side, his back at an angle against Finn’s chest.. “You’ll always be so beautiful.”
“Yeah,” Finn agreed. “You both-” His breath hitched, and he smiled. “I’m gonna love you for the rest of our lives. And I will love everything about you, always, no matter what. Okay?”
Leo nodded. He felt more settled with the heat of them against him. “Okay.” He kissed Finn softly, then Logan. “I love you,” he mumbled against Logan’s mouth.
“Je t’aime,” Logan sighed. Leo wrapped an arm around his waist to feel his skin. “Mm, you’re cold.”
Leo smiled. “I always am.”
“Ici.” Logan wiggled himself further in between them to more squarely press himself into Leo’s chest.
Finn scoffed. “Um, excuse me,” he said, leaning down to bite Logan’s shoulder. “This is group cuddle time, not ‘hog Leo’ time.”
“But he’s cold.”
Leo smiled sheepishly over Logan’s head, and Finn narrowed his eyes. “Fine.” He bent to put his mouth by Logan’s ear. “But I’m gonna get you for this Tremblay.”
Leo felt Logan’s grin against his skin. “Yes, please.”
Finn let out a slightly frustrated breath. “We cannot lose track of ourselves here, okay?”
“I didn’t say anything.”
“Uh, yes you did, ten, and it is not helping the situation.”
Leo raised his eyebrows playfully. “What situation?”
Finn looked at him as if it was obvious. “The situation I always find myself in when I see you two naked.”
“Oo,” Leo teased. “Sounds fun.”
“Yes, normally, when I have hours to act on it.” He slapped Logan’s ass. “But we’ve got a party to get to, so chop chop. Unfortunately, clothes must go on.” He took a step back to look them over and let out a heavy breath. “Goddamn. Look at my sexy husbands.”
Leo grinned into Logan’s hair and kissed his head quickly. “Okay. Clothes.”
Logan nodded. “Clothes.”
“Wait!” Finn, for a final time, jumped on the bed with a happy sound. When he was settled again, he kicked his feet excitedly. “Okay, go.”
Leo and Logan just grinned at each other, then pulled on their pants.
since you loved the first hogwarts au prompt, can i ask for more???? take your time ofc !!🤍
This is a little drabble I've had sitting in my drafts for a while now! It's in the same realm as the last Hogwarts one I did. If it's not what you're looking for, or if you have a different/more specific vision for a prompt, please please please write me another ask! I want to do your ideas justice. :)
Enjoy some long-distance Cubs in the mountains of beautiful Eryri!
TW: alluded to nefarious activities, but nothing explicit!

P.S.: I am making assumptions on the kinds of spells and magic stuff they have. It's been AGES since I read HP, because She Who Must Not Be Named is a TERF and we #donotlikeher, so I just took some liberty on the few times magic is explicitly referenced.
Logan took a satisfied breath in, feeling as his bare chest brushed Finn’s above him. The light shining through their bedroom window was as warm as the afterglow. He sighed, nudging his nose into Finn’s hair to breath in his scent. He smelled like a mix of himself, sweat- and Leo’s cologne, Logan realized. He must have sprayed some on himself before his apprenticeship that morning.
“Fuck,” Finn said with a laugh. He let go of Logan's wrists and wrapped him up. “Fuck, how is it always so good?”
Logan brought their mouths together sloppily again with a hum. “Je t'aime.”
Finn kissed him harder, turning them on their sides and relaxing into the mattress. They made out lazily, just feeling each other's skin, until Finn pulled back to press a kiss to his temple.
“I love you.” He tucked his face into Logan’s neck. “Cleaning charm or shower?”
Logan snorted. “Leo would want us to shower.”
Finn smiled into his skin. “Mm, yeah. He looks so good in the shower.”
“Ouais, so tall. Like a god.”
“Ugh, he's so sexy.” Finn rolled over to squish Logan into the mattress. “You're both so sexy. What am I supposed to do?”
Logan laughed. “You poor thing,” he mocked in Finn’s accent.
Finn huffed, giving Logan one more hard kiss before standing. He held out his hand. “Shower? Then we call Leo.”
Logan took it and followed Finn to the bathroom. Their Muggle flat in Derby was a bit old, and the pipes didn't always heat the water up fully, but Logan loved it more than he could say. Today, luckily, the water was nice and warm, and Logan reveled in getting to run his hand through Finn's thick, shampooed waves. He had been growing it out since October, and Leo and Logan couldn't get enough of it. Logan had watched as Leo stepped off the Hogwarts Express at Christmas with wide eyes, hands immediately carding through Finn's hair.
What's this, O'Hara?
Finn had smirked. What, you don't like it?
Leo had tugged at the strands, forcing Finn to look up and make a noise that was not appropriate for a train station. What do you think? Then he'd kissed Finn, then Logan, so hard that it made them dizzy.
Safe to say, sitting through dinner with Leo's parents that evening had been a monumental task.
“What’re you thinking about, baby?”
Logan shook out of his reverie. “You. Your hair. Leo.” Logan sighed, closing his eyes and imagining blond curls. “His hair.”
“He does have nice hair.”
“So do you.”
“So do you.” Finn threaded his fingers to scratch at Logan's scalp. “All dark and thick.” He kissed Logan's forehead. “It's getting curlier, now that it's longer.”
Logan hummed, leaning into Finn's body. “Wonder what Leo's hair looks like.”
Finn snorted. “You know what it looks like. We called him the other day.”
Logan grunted. “It's different in person.”
Finn sighed. “I know, baby. I know.” He leaned back. “Let’s finish here, then call him, yeah? He's probably almost done with his homework for the evening.”
Logan washed Finn's body reverently, taking time to massage his shoulders and upper back where he got sore. He was rewarded with soft kisses to his forehead, his collarbone, his cheek. Logan missed being at Hogwarts, missed being with his friends every day, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't also love this domestic bliss he lived in now. He loved not having to sneak into Finn or Leo's bed, he loved being able to bathe together like this. Most of all, he loved coming home to a place that was theirs, that they made together, that encompassed the bed, and the bathing, and everything else. He saw himself in the Quidditch magazines lying around the house, Finn in the books piled everywhere- even Leo, though he didn’t live there yet, with the perfectly knitted blanket from his farm in Wales that had a permanent residence on the couch.
Logan sighed, staring at that blanket while Finn made them both dinner (egg sandwiches, the way Leo taught them), sat at a stool by the counter with his evening tea. He stretched his legs, sore from practice, and turned to Finn. “Fish?”
Finn hummed, handing him a plate with his sandwich. “Yeah?”
“I miss him.”
Finn looked up at that, sandwich halfway to his mouth. “Le?”
“Ouais.” Logan sighed again, picking up his own sandwich. “It just doesn't feel like home.”
Finn furrowed his eyebrows. “What do you mean?”
Logan shrugged as he swallowed. “Je ne sais pas. It just- it is ours, and I love living here with you, and it is home. Home is with you.” Logan pursed his lips. “But it's also with Leo.”
Finn nodded in understanding. “I know. I know, baby, it doesn't- it's like it's home, but not a complete one.”
“Exactly,” Logan said. “It's not complete without both of you.”
Finn finished off his dinner, then came to wrap Logan in a hug. “Only a few more days until he comes home for Easter, then he graduates in May. Then he's all ours forever, okay, baby?”
“Mais, he is all ours. You're mine, too.”
Finn smiled into his hair. “Yes, we are all yours, you greedy thing.” He kissed Logan's head. “C'mon. I need a dose of sunshine.”
Leo picked up his two-way mirror on the first vibration they sent through. He looked tired, a little stressed, but his smile was wide when he saw them. “Hi, fy nghariadau. You okay?”
“Hi, love,” Finn said. He touched his thumb to the edge of the mirror. “We're alright. Just wanted to see your pretty face once more before you come home.”
Leo scrunched his nose at them. “You're sweet.”
“Non, you are.” Logan groaned, flopping onto Finn's chest. “Soleil, ici. Come back.”
That made Leo blush, his crystal blue eyes standing out against his red cheeks. “I'm trying, honey,” he said. “I've got to do one last thing for Potions, and-
“I hope this is an actual assignment and not some extra experiment that's going to get you blown up,” Finn interrupted with a raised eyebrow. “Because I prefer your whole body, not pieces of it.”
If possible, Leo turned even redder. “It is assigned, I'll have you know.”
“Get it done faster,” Logan said. “I miss you.”
“We.”
“Ouais, that's what I meant.”
Finn rolled his eyes fondly, but turned back to the mirror. “We are suffering from a sunshine deficiency.”
Leo, who was now distracted by something, presumably a book, just quirked an eyebrow. “A vitamin D deficiency? But it's spring now, go outside.”
Logan scoffed. “Non, soleil. Toi.”
Finn put a hand over Logan's head. “You, sunshine. We have a you deficiency.”
“Soleil, come back,” Logan whined again, frustrated. He patted the couch cushions hard. “Allez.”
Leo sighed, looking up from his book. He looked mildly irritated at having been interrupted, but he softened immediately upon seeing their faces. He spoke to Logan. “Oh, cariad, don’t look at me with those eyes.”
Finn laughed. He tapped Logan on the hip a few times. “Don't make him feel guilty for studying.”
“But it keeps him away from us.”
Leo scoffed and waved a piece of parchment at them. “Not everyone can just get by on muscles and Quidditch skills for their career, Lo.”
“Ouais, you could.”
“Yeah, Le, I already told you. Best Keeper Ravenclaw has seen.”
Leo pointed his finger at him. “And I told you that you're biased.” He straightened his posture. “Now, I've got to write six more inches of this Arithmancy essay. I love you, I love your voices, now be my soundtrack so I can concentrate.” He turned his devastating eyes at them. Logan felt his heart kick. “Tell me about your day.”

Beddgelert, March 2016
Leo sighed, savoring the last bite of his mother's lamb cawl, heating him up from the inside as the last dregs of the Eryri winter faded away. They didn't have anymore snow, but the chill was still there. His Raynaud's flared up frequently in the drafty halls of Hogwarts. He was grateful to be in his kitchen at home; it was warm from the oven and his mother's cooking.
“Diolch, mam,” he said, turning to look at his mother. It felt like a relief to speak his native language. “It was really good.”
She kissed his forehead and poured herself some more wine. She gave him a wink. “Of course, honey. I'll have to make it again when those boys of yours arrive.”
His father laughed. “Might need to make a double batch. Logan always eats us out of house and home.”
Leo smiled. “Don't tell him that, he'll get embarrassed.” He rested his chin on his hand. “Are you sure you're okay with them staying here for a few days? I know it'll be a lot, what with the family Easter party on Sunday.”
Eloise shook her head. “They’re welcome, as long as they help.” She came over to give him a hug and pressed a kiss to his curls. “Besides, I missed my boy. And I did have you first.”
Leo laughed, giving her a kiss on the cheek before beginning to clear the table. He had missed her and his dad, too, and the mountains and the farm. He had missed the way his parents spoke Welsh, the lilt of their vowels and their familiar accents. They hadn’t forced him to come home; he had actually suggested it. He wanted to spend a few days in Beddgelert before going to Finn and Logan’s (and his, he guessed) apartment in Derby. They were due to arrive the following evening after Logan’s practice and Finn’s last day of his apprenticeship before his own Easter break. They were excited to come celebrate with Leo’s extended family- Finn said he had bought a special ‘Easter shirt’ at the charity shop the other day.
I want to look proper spiffy for your family, sunshine, he had said. Gotta make a good first impression.
Leo smiled to himself at the memory, handing the last plate to be dried to his dad. Together, they wiped down the counters and stove. Leo couldn't wait for the kitchen to be filled with the smell of bara brith and Welsh cakes and more lamb and roasted vegetables over the next few days. He loved the Hogwarts meals, but he did miss being able to cook his own food. He perused the cabinets, looking for a packet of digestives, his favorite biscuits, when there was a whooshing sound of someone coming through the fireplace.
“Mam!” he called. “Did you invite Effie over?”
Effie Potter and Eloise had become fast friends when they had been invited to the Potter’s annual New Years Eve party. James and Monty had helped them set up the Floo in the Knut's fireplace, and Effie and Eloise now often had a post-dinner tea (or drink, depending on the mood). There was another whooshing sound, and Leo furrowed his brow.
“Hello?” he said, creeping slowly into the living room. The sight in front of him stopped him in his tracks. He let out a joyful laugh.
“Salut.”
“Hi, sunshine.”
Leo leaned against the doorway, smiling. “Hi.”
Logan, who was bouncing on his toes, couldn't seem to hold back anymore. He dropped his bag and ran forward right into Leo's arms. Leo wrapped him up close, slouching down to tuck his face into Logan's hair. “Hi, cariad. Hi.”
He opened an arm for Finn to tuck in against them. Finn reached a palm to cup Leo's cheek and kiss him. “Surprise, baby.”
Leo grinned against Finn's mouth. “The best surprise.” He pulled back, tightening his arm around Finn's waist. “I thought you wouldn't be here until tomorrow.”
“Logan’s last practice was actually today, as well as my last day before break.” Finn winced. “Sorry we lied.”
Leo kissed his temple. “You get away with it this time.” He tilted his head to look down at Logan. “How's my needy snugglebug?”
Logan rested his chin on Leo's collarbone and glared up. “Non, I'm not.”
Leo grinned. “You mean you don't want kisses?”
Logan grunted. “That's not what I said. Allez.”
He dragged Leo down to meet his mouth, and Leo let himself sink into Logan's warm body. He lingered until he physically needed to breath, breaking away with a slight gasp. Logan placed sloppy kisses under his jaw before tucking his face back into Leo's neck with a happy sigh.
Finn looked at him, amused. “Not needy, my arse.”
Logan just grunted in reply, but he didn’t deny it.
“There they are!” Eloise came striding in with Wyatt in tow. “It worked!”
“What?” Leo asked as she pulled both Finn and Logan into hugs.
“The surprise,” Wyatt said matter-of-factly. He shook both Finn and Logan's hands. “How are we, boys, you alright?”
Finn wrapped an arm around Logan's shoulders. “Yeah, we're good. Excited to be here.”
Eloise clapped her hands excitedly. “Okay, bed's upstairs, all made up. You hungry? I've got some leftover lamb cawl.”
Logan shook his head. “Non, merci, we ate. For lunch tomorrow?”
Eloise nodded excitedly. “With some fresh bread from the bakery down the street.” She shooed them away with wink. “Off you pop, I'm sure you've got lots of catching up to do.”
Leo blushed. “Mam.” He let Logan, then Finn up the stairs, following with a hand resting on Finn's lower back. “Nos da.”
“Sleep tight, loves!”
Their footsteps sounded all the way down the hallway to Leo's room. Upon closing the door, Logan pulled Leo in and wrapped his arms around Leo's neck. He was grinning eagerly. “Will there be much sleeping?”
Leo smiled, ducking down to wrap Logan fully in his arms. Logan played with his scalp, and Leo relaxed into it, letting out a yawn.
Finn laughed at him over Logan's shoulder, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “I think there might be. You look tired, baby.”
Leo straightened. “No, I'm okay. I'm totally fine, we can-”
Logan pressed three fingers to his mouth. “Non. You were stressed with work and traveled all day on the train. You're tired, mon soleil.” He pressed his thumbs to Leo's cheeks, just below his lashes. “I can see it in your eyes.”
Leo sighed, tipping forward to press their foreheads together. “I'm sorry,” he whispered. “I'm exhausted. Tomorrow, I promise.”
Finn came up to press along Logan's back, a hand on Leo's ribs. “Sex isn't an obligation, love. It's a nice bonus, but only if you want it.”
Leo considered that for a moment. “I do want it. I want you.” He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. “But right now I want to shower and I want you to hold me.”
Finn brushed a few curls away from his face. “Can do, sunshine. We already showered, so you go ahead. We'll warm the bed up for you.”
Leo nodded, kissing each of their cheeks before pulling a pair of boxers and a towel from his closet, leaving them to get ready for bed.
The shower was warm against his skin. His hair felt greasy under his fingers, so he decided to wash it. He was just putting in some conditioner when there was a knock at the door.
“Le?” came Finn's voice. “Can we come in and brush our teeth and wash our faces?”
Leo smiled. He'd gotten them into Muggle skincare since they'd started dating, particularly Logan, to their collective surprise. He really loved a good moisturizer.
“Yeah,” he replied. “I'm almost done.”
He heard the popping of toothpaste caps and the cleanser bottle that Logan liked as he washed his body and rinsed out the conditioner. When he stepped out and grabbed a towel, he came face to face with Logan, who looked up at him through his lashes. Leo smiled. “What?”
Logan just kissed his chest. “Si beau.” He held up a few containers. “I bought you the face creams that you like.”
Leo just leaned down and kissed him.
After drying off and settling his boyfriends into bed, Leo went about applying lotion to his arms and legs. His skin got dry and cracked when it was cold, and he could already feel the chilly night air working its way into his bones.
“Allez,” Logan said. “Leo.”
“Just a moment, cariad. I've got to do my other leg.”
Logan huffed and slumped down against his pillow, arms crossed in frustration. Finn caught Leo's eye and winked. “Getting all nice and moisturized for us, baby?”
Leo rolled his eyes, but went to kneel on the end of the bed. “You wish. My skin gets dry when I'm cold.”
Finn patted the space next to him. “C'mere.”
Leo obliged, crawling up the mattress to lay in between them. Logan immediately settled himself on Leo's chest, his nose taking up its permanent resident just underneath Leo's chin. Finn wrapped an arm around Leo's torso and threw his leg over both of them.
“It feels good,” Finn said. “To be in bed all together again.” He nuzzled Leo's shoulder. “Love the weight of you.”
“I don’t sleep well,” Leo whispered. “Not without you.”
Logan made a discontent noise. “I don't like that.”
“I know,” Leo said, rubbing a hand up and down Logan's back. “But do you know what I do when I can't sleep?”
“What?” Finn asked, intrigued.
Leo turned his head to nudge their noses together. “I read the letters you send me, and I look at the pictures.” He kissed Finn lightly, then the top of Logan's head. “We have mirror calls almost four times a week, and yet you two still send me letters every couple of days.”
“We want you to know what's going through our heads,” Logan mumbled.
Leo pulled him tighter to his chest. “I love it more than anything.”
Finn scoffed, pinching his hip. “You don't love it more than us.”
Leo laughed. “That's true.” He closed his eyes. “I love you more than anything that ever has and ever will be.” He yawned, settling into the weight of their bodies and the heat their skin. “Nos da.”
“Good night, loves.”
“Bonne nuit. Je t’aime.”
Hi! I just lost my 13yo dog and been so down, but trying to think about all the amazing times we went through. Made me wonder about the cubs adopting a rescue dog, or even better, Logan maybe gifting Leo said dog, or something like it, dont know, just wanted something very lovely and cute. Thanks
Hi friend,
I am so so so sorry for your loss. Dogs love unconditionally like nobody else can, and I imagine it must be so hard right now. However, they are some of the greatest gifts life has to offer, even if their time on Earth is much more limited than ours. They bring so much joy and happiness, and I hope you can find that in the memories you carry of your sweet baby. <3
Have some sunshine being a sweet dog-whisperer and Logan and Finn wanting to surprise the very best husband they could ever ask for.
Sending lots of love your way!!

Logan laced his fingers through Leo’s as they walked along the path through the park, stepping aside every now and then to let bikers and runners pass by. Leo’s skin was tan from the summer sun and matched beautifully with the gold rings on his fingers. Logan brought his hand to his mouth and kissed it, then turned to look up at him. They were discussing where they wanted to go for dinner. “What do you want to do tonight, soleil?”
Leo shrugged. “Don’t know. Could ask Finn, he was talking about this new place that opened up in the center of the city. Or we could go to that café we like for an early dinner, then go for a walk by the water. It’s a nice day.”
“Mm,” Logan hummed distractedly. He stopped abruptly and bent down. When he stood to give Leo the flower he picked, small and yellow, he smiled. “Allez. For you.”
Leo smiled back. “Thanks, honey.” He kissed Logan’s forehead. “I love it.”
Logan was leaning up for another kiss when he felt something cold sniff his ankle. He pulled away and looked down. “Quoi?”
The dog had moved on to Leo now. It was medium sized, with long, triangle ears and a boxy face. It’s entire body wiggled as it looked up at Leo and stuck its tongue out in a smile.
“Sassy!” a woman said. She gave the dog a tug by its leash and smiled sheepishly. “Sorry, sorry, she’s not leash trained quite yet.”
“That’s alright,” Leo said. He looked up at her. “Can I pet her?”
“Yeah, yeah, of course.”
Leo grinned and bent a bit to let Sassy sniff his hand, and when she licked it, he crouched fully to scratch behind her ears. He laughed when she made a content little grunting sound. “You’re so pretty! Look at you, baby.”
Logan smiled fondly then looked up at the woman. “What breed is she?”
She shrugged. “We’re not entirely sure. We think a pitbull-coonhound mix. I’m not her owner, I’m just taking her for a walk. I volunteer at Gryffindor Shelter on Lavelle Street.”
Logan tilted his head. “So she’s not adopted?”
“No. A group of us take the dogs for walks every week so they get used to it. Helps to socialize them a bit.”
“That’s awesome,” Leo chided in. Sassy now had her paws on his bent knees and was wiggling happily as he continued to scratch her ears. “You’re a very sweet girl.”
Logan took in Leo’s smile and bright blue eyes. They had talked about getting a dog before, in theory. Leo always joked that Finn basically was their dog and that they needed to run him, but Logan knew he wanted the real thing. He loved whenever the Lions did charity work or photoshoots with rescue dogs. Finn and Logan had shared knowing glances many times over the years as they watched every single dog, old and young, big and small, fall in love with Leo the second they met him.
Suddenly, there was a warm body behind him and a wet, slightly sweaty, kiss was pressed to his cheek. “‘Sup, hubs.”
Logan turned and caught Finn’s eye. “Salut. Good run?”
Finn nodded eagerly, bouncing on his toes. “Oo-ways. Two more miles left.” He noticed Leo on the ground and the women holding the leash and smiled. “Hi! Who’s this?”
The woman smiled. “This is Sassy. She’s at Gryffindor Shelter, I’m breaking her out of jail for the day.”
Finn crouched down and held out his hand. “Aren’t you a sweet little girl!” He laughed when she came to lick his wrist, then Logan’s ankle, before going straight back to seek attention from Leo. “Damn, okay, I see how it is.”
The lady winked at him. “Seems she found a friend.”
“Looks like. She’s very pretty.”
The woman nodded. “She is.” She checked her watch briefly, then tugged on the leash. “Let’s go, Sassy girl, gotta get you back.” She looked up at the three of them. “Nice to meet you…?”
“I’m Finn,” Finn said. “And this is Logan and Leo.” He gestured accordingly with a tilt of his head. “And you?”
“Melanie.”
Finn turned on one of his signature grins. “Well, Melanie, thanks for sharing Sassy with us. And taking her for walkies, I’m sure the shelter must be boring for her.”
Melanie smiled. “My pleasure.” She gave the leash another tug. “Let’s go, Sass!”
Sassy let out a whining sound before resisting just enough to give Leo’s forearm another lick and receive one last scratch before she was being led away down the path. Leo watched her go with a small smile on his face for a moment. Just enough time, really, for Finn and Logan to share a meaningful look. Logan grinned and turned to Leo, holding out his hand. “Ici, soleil, let’s finish our walk.”
Leo let out a sigh. “Okay.” He took Logan’s hand and stood. “She was really cute.”
“She was, baby,” Finn agreed, kissing his cheek. “I’ll meet you at the fountain in a few, okay? Love you.”
Leo nodded. “Love you.”
Finn jogged backwards for a moment, making a heart with his hands, before winking and turning to run ahead. Logan stood on his toes and kissed Leo on the cheek. “You look very pretty in the sun.”
Leo rolled his eyes good naturedly, but he turned his face to brush their noses together. He still had the yellow flower between his fingers. “I love you.”
“Je t’aime.” Logan kissed him on the mouth, then squeezed his hand. “Allez, or our oversized puppy will get impatient waiting for us at the fountain.”
Leo laughed and let Logan pull him along the path.

Two weeks later
It took a lot of planning, and insisting Leo go out with Regulus one day while they had a secret house inspection, but Logan had done it. Well, really, he and Finn had done it, but he liked to credit himself for the idea, at least. They had told Leo they were going out to get fertilizer for his herb garden, which they did actually do- the store just so happened to have all necessary dog accessories, and was a three minute drive from Gryffindor Shelter on Lavelle Street.
“Are you excited, Sassy girl?” Finn cooed from the front seat as he parked. He turned to scratch her behind the ears, and patted Logan, who was sitting in the back with her, on the head. “Your daddy’s gonna be so happy!”
She let out a whine and a short bark, her entire body vibrating with energy. Logan clipped the leash they had got her around her collar and gingerly opened the door. “Allez, ma petite, careful.”
Sassy paid him no mind and leapt out of the car after him, nose in the air and twitching like a bunny’s with soft huffs. Finn chirped the car and went to open the door leading from the garage to the lower lobby and the elevator.
“Wanna bring the other stuff up later?”
“Ouais,” Logan said, gripping tightly to the leash as Sassy pulled in her excitement. “I want Le to see her first.”
Finn made a happy sound in the back of his throat. “I can’t wait, he’s gonna be so excited.” He turned to look at Logan as they stepped through the elevator door and kissed him. “You’re a good husband.”
Logan smiled against his mouth. “Toi aussi, mon rouge.” He bent to rub Sassy’s side. “She’s very happy.”
“Wiggly little thing, huh?” Finn crouched to give her a kiss on the forehead, which just made her wag her tail even harder. “Gonna have to take you on runs to get your energy out. Yes I am!”
Logan ran a hand fondly through Finn’s hair just as the elevator door opened. Sassy immediately dragged Logan out, nose to the ground as she scurried her way down the hallway. Finn laughed and went to unlock the door. “Hold her here for a second, ‘kay?”
“D’accord,” Logan replied, crouching to hold Sassy around her chest.
Finn touched Logan’s cheek, winked, then pushed the door open. “Sunshine! We’re home.”
“Hi, honey,” Logan heard Leo say. There was the sound of a brief kiss. “Where’s Lo?”
Logan could imagine Finn’s mischievous smile. “We’ve got a surprise for you.”
“What?”
“Lo, let her in!”
Logan stood and held onto Sassy’s leash and guided her into the apartment. Leo looked briefly confused, but his entire face changed when he saw her, breaking into a wide smile. Those bright eyes flashed to Logan’s face. “No.”
Logan nodded, a warm feeling working its way up his chest. “Ouais.”
Sassy whined, entire body vibrating, before Logan let her go. Leo crouched and she launched herself right into his lap, happy, high-pitched noises escaping her. Her paws were dancing on Leo’s legs as he cupped her face and scratched her ears. He was laughing and cooing at her. Logan and Finn and Logan shared a fond look.
“Hi, baby, hi!” Leo was saying. “Oh, you’re so beautiful.” He looked up at Finn and Logan, both dimples on full display. “She’s ours?”
The look Finn gave him was so in love Logan felt his heart speed up. “Yeah, sunshine. She’s ours.”
Leo laughed again and buried his face in Sassy’s neck. She had both of her paws on his shoulders and was sniffing by his ear. She had calmed down a bit, comforted by the warmth of Leo’s body. Logan could relate.
“Thank you,” Leo said softly. He tilted his chin up. “C’mere.”
Finn sat by his side and Logan kneeled in front of him. Leo leaned in to kiss them both softly, a hand supporting Sassy on her back. Finn wrapped one arm around Leo’s waist and Logan scratched Sassy’s side just beside Leo’s hand.
“She will need some training,” Logan said. He moved his hand up and flitted his fingers over Leo’s curls. He leaned into the touch. “But she needed a home, and she loves you, Le.”
“She’s perfect,” Finn said wistfully, head now on Leo’s shoulder. He reached out to rub Sassy’s ear between his thumb and forefinger. “Her ears are so soft.”
“Mm, like- how do you say it, soleil? Le velours?”
Leo smiled and peeked out at him. “Velvet. Yeah, they are.”
Sassy was wiggling again, excited and eager with all the hands petting her, and let out a happy little growling sound. Logan barked out a laugh. “Rouge, she sounds like you.”
Finn mimicked her happy growling sound and reached out with both hands to scratch behind her ears. She opened her mouth in a smile and talked back to him again. “Just like your dad, baby, did you hear that?”
Leo kissed her on the side of her head. “Okay, c’mon, baby girl, let’s show you the house.” He coaxed her off his lap and took her leash, leading her through the kitchen. “This is where all the yummy snacks are made. I’ll have to find some dog friendly recipes for you, sweetheart.” They continued on. “And this is the couch, it’s great for naps. I’ll make sure to get you a blanket.”
Leo continued chattering to her as he showed her the bedrooms and the hallway. Her nose was moving rapidly, the sounds of her sniffing making Logan let out an amused breath. He settled back on his heels as Finn came to sit beside him. He wrapped his arms around his shoulders and kissed his red waves. “Good surprise.”
“Good surprise,” Finn agreed. “He’s so happy. They both are.”
Logan hummed into Finn’s hair and breathed out a laugh as Leo’s voice continued to carry through their apartment, followed by a bark from Sassy. “I think we married a Disney character.”
“Oh, we definitely did. We could put him in the forest and he’d be friends with all the animals in an hour, probably.”
Logan smiled into Finn’s hair. “You’re so weird. I love you.”
Finn tilted his head and kissed him. “I love you, too.”
They turned to look as Leo walked back into the entryway with Sassy, who was now free from her leash. She saw them and trotted her way over, entire body wiggling, and nudged their hands. They both smiled and complied, scratching her side and ears. Leo stood over them, leash in one hand, his smile bright. Logan couldn’t tear his eyes away.
“Is her stuff in the car?” Leo asked. At the sound of his voice, Sassy turned around and went over to him again. He squatted to pet her.
“Yeah, but we’ll get it, baby,” Finn said. He stood, then held out a hand for Logan. “You relax.”
“You sure? I can help-”
“Non.” Logan bent and cupped his face to kiss him quickly. “Stay here, mon coeur. We’ll be back.”
Later that evening, after the three of them had taken Sassy for a long walk around her new neighborhood, Finn and Logan arrived from picking up their Thai take out for dinner to find Leo fast asleep on his back on the couch. Sassy was a heavy weight on his chest, limbs splayed out as she softly snored. One of her ears was flipped inside-out. Leo’s arms were wrapped gently around her to keep her from falling.
Finn sneakily took a photo. “New lockscreen.”
Logan rested his chin on his shoulder. “Send it to me, please?”
“Already done, baby.” He kissed the side of Logan’s head. “They’re so cute.”
Logan bent to kneel beside the couch and kissed Leo’s forehead, brushing his hair back. “Mon amour. Mon mari. Dinner.”
Leo took a deep breath in and blinked slowly. He smiled sleepily. “Hi.” His arms tightened around Sassy. She let out a content sound and opened her eyes, too. “Sorry, we were just taking a nap.”
Logan shook his head. “Non, don’t be sorry.” He nudged their noses together. “You were very cute.” He felt a paw pat his forearm and he turned to Sassy. “You, too, ma petite.” He kissed her between her eyes and she let out a satisfied sigh.
Leo scratched her back. “Up, sweetheart, it’s supper time.” He laughed as Sassy let out a groan and stretched her back legs and yawned. “Oh, big stretch and big yawn, wow.”
Sassy hopped off the couch and shook, her lips and ears making a flapping sound. She trotted over to greet Finn and sniffed eagerly at the bags he was still holding. “Ah-ah, none for you. Yet. Maybe some chicken.”
Leo tisked. “Spices aren’t good for dogs, they upset their tummies.” He walked over and rested a hand on Finn’s lower back and leaned in for a kiss. “Hi. Thanks for getting dinner.”
“You’re welcome, sunshine.” Finn opened the takeout bags on their counter and began to unload them. Sassy sat obediently and looked up at him, ears perked up. Finn looked at her, then at Leo with his very own pleading puppy dog eyes. “Are you sure she can’t-”
“No. But we can cut her up some cucumbers and you can give them to her, how’s that?”
Finn smiled and nodded. “That sounds good.” He bent to touch his and Sassy’s foreheads together and kissed her nose. “You’re just so cute!”
She barked and wagged her tail happily. Leo looked down at her proudly, then caught Logan looking at him. “You okay, sweetheart?”
Logan nodded. “Ouais,” he said, going up to wrap his arms around Leo’s ribs. “Just love you.”
Leo kissed the top of his head. “I love you, too.” He bent to wrap his hands under Logan’s thighs and pick him up. His dimples were there again. “You got me a dog.”
Logan scratched a hand through his hair and tightened his legs around his waist. “I did.”
“We.”
“It was my idea!”
Leo rolled his eyes fondly and kissed Logan on the mouth. “Well, thank you both. She’s perfect.”
Logan kissed him again. “You’re perfect.”
Leo just grinned and set him down again. “C’mon, let’s get the plates. Then I gotta give Sassy her dinner.” Logan scratched Sassy, who was still watching Finn open the take out containers with rapt attention, on the head, letting the warm feeling of family fill him up as he went to get the silverware.
your writing is getting me through finals weeks rn…which leads me to a prompt of one of the cubs being stressed with comfort from the other two, could be work related, could be not, whatever you want!!
I hope you are having lovely holidays/vacations! Sorry for the delay in posting- I was hiking for a few days and had limited WiFi, but I am BACK!! I have SO much written so please be prepared to be bombarded with some Cubs, and please keep sending in prompts! This blog is as much for you as it is for me, so whatever visions of stories you have, please send me an ask!
Without further ado, some lovely Cubs! This is an official F-YOU to the US visa process and the fact that polygamy is not legal in this country. We should always be hoping and pushing for a better, more inclusive, and more intersectional future! Credits to @lumosinlove ! <3
P.S. I hope your finals went well!! Sending you love, friend!!
Logan Tremblay did not consider himself a highly stressed out person. There really wasn’t anything for him to stress over, at least not anything physical or superficial. He was lucky, he knew that, one of the last people to want for anything. And any sort of stress, really, was always tied to hockey, which he was grateful for.
The U.S. Visas and Immigration process, however, was enough to cause a lifetime of stress for just about anybody. Or so he reckoned.
“Merde,” he muttered under his breath. Every Google search, every document he found on his hard drive made him more confused. “Shit.”
Finn’s voice called out to him from their bedroom, the sound of footsteps echoing through the halls as he approached the living room where Logan was sat. “Lo, baby, have you seen my purple sweater? I was going to wear it for dinner with- oh. Oh, sweetheart, what’s wrong?”
Logan looked up at his husband with a pinch between his brows. “Just looking at visa stuff.”
A confused expression washed over Finn’s face. “What are you doing that for?” He came up behind the couch and put a hand on Logan’s shoulder. “But, you’re on the professional athletes, visa, right? So we’ve got nothing to worry about.”
“Non, but when I- when I stop, we will,” Logan said.
“What do you mean?”
Logan sighed. “I won’t be able to stay here without a green card. So I’ll need to get a visa.”
“Oh,” Finn said with a breath. “Oh, that makes sense.”
Logan flipped through another folder on his hard drive. “Mais, I have all the documents my parents and I used for my student visa. But a lot has changed since then, and the student visa is different- I’m just not sure what to do, really.” He rubbed a hand over his face. His head was killing him. “I’ll figure it out, don’t worry, rouge.”
Logan turned back to his computer, squinting his eyes against the glare of the screen. He didn’t want to even think about retiring from hockey at the moment, but he knew it was coming in the next few years. They wanted to settle down a bit, be together more- hockey had been a part of their relationship for almost ten years, since the very beginning. And now that Logan and Leo were both with the Lions, spending all his time back in Gryffindor had Logan thinking of the future more often than not. If they had a house, a pet, a child or two (or more), he wanted to be present and not be worried about the legalities. The route to get there, however, looked more complicated than he had originally thought.
All of the legal English was starting to tire his brain, and he blinked hard before letting out a sigh. He jumped when he felt a hand card through his hair, and looked up to find Finn just watching him. He’d gotten better, over the years, at letting Logan come to him with words. Sometimes, though, Logan still wanted him to push. “Quoi, rouge? Tell me.”
“I just…” Finn started. He huffed and came around to sit beside Logan and look at the computer. “I guess I just hadn’t really thought about it, is all. That you’re not a U.S. citizen.”
“Non,” Logan said. He pressed a kiss to Finn’s cheek. “But it’ll be fine. I’ll figure it out.”
“Lo-”
“I will, I promise,” he interrupted. Logan felt so unlike himself, so restless and jumpy, and he could see concern written all over Finn’s face. He set the laptop down on the table. “I’ll find a professional to help me, or I’m sure the NHL has someone-”
“What’s going on?”
Logan and Finn both jumped at Leo’s voice. He, too, came and sat down on Logan’s other side, arm around the back of the couch. He smiled at them, then took a glance at the computer, and the smile immediately faded. Logan didn’t like when it did that.
“What’s going on, honey?”
Logan leaned a head on Leo’ shoulder and sighed. “Visa. I’ll need one when I’m done with hockey.”
“Oh,” Leo said, in the same way Finn had. “Well, that… that makes sense, I guess.” Leo turned to look down. “What’s the face for, Lo? Everything alright?”
Logan nodded. “Ouais. Ouais, it’s just…” He paused, taking Finn’s hand and pushing harder into Leo’s shoulder. “I could do the green card, I think, but I don’t know where to start, and not all my student visa stuff can be used. Or…”
Leo nudged him gently. “What is it?”
Logan could barely stand looking at Finn’s brown eyes. “Or I marry one of you.”
Finn’s eyes flashed to his wedding and engagement ring, confused for a moment. Logan watched the realization dawn on his face. It looked exactly how Logan felt- happy and guilty at the same time, wanting it with everything he had, and yet knowing that it wasn’t fair.
Based on Leo’s sharp inhale, he had realized as well. “You marry… one of us.”
“Ouais,” Logan whispered.
Finn groaned, pitching forward to press his forehead into Logan’s. “I hate that. I hate that.”
“Ouais, me too,” Logan said shakily. All of a sudden, tears pressed at the edges of his eyes. “I-I don’t like that we aren’t legally married. That we can’t be.” He looked at the computer screen, the words tumbling from his mouth uncharacteristically. “I don’t want to have to make that choice. I hate that that’s an option, for me to stay with you, but to choose one of you. And then if we want children- I don’t want just one of you, I want both-” His voice broke over his words and he groaned as the tears fell.
“Whoa, whoa, hey,” Leo hushed him gently. “Hey, hey, sweetheart, it’s okay.”
“Non, non it’s not, Le. I won’t do that to you-”
But Leo just wrapped his arms around him, pulling him back against his chest. Logan fell, burying his face in the crook of Leo’s elbow. Finn gasped tearily, too, their temples touching gently. Logan was shaking now, sobs wracking through his body. It was stress, it was anger, it was sadness at the thought that the world wanted him to choose between things he physically couldn’t. It was the fact that it took him so long to get here, to accept the fact he wanted not just one boy, but two, to be comfortable loving them in the open, letting them love him in private, letting himself love them in private. Logan couldn’t help the sounds that left his mouth, desperate and wet and frustrated as he fell apart in his husbands’ arms. He could feel Leo’s chest shaking underneath him, Finn’s wet skin as he brushed their cheeks together. It brought a new wave of emotion over him, and he gripped Leo’s forearm hard.
“Oh, Lo,” Leo said softly. “Oh, sweetheart, I’m so sorry.”
“Ce n'est pas juste-”
“Sh, sh, I know. I know, it’s not fair.”
They sat there and rocked him gently for what felt like hours. They would periodically press soft kisses to his skin, always gentle, always loving. Logan closed his eyes, almost sleepy in Leo’s hold as he let his head fall heavy against Leo’s body. Leo just squeezed him tighter.
“Logan,” Finn said quietly. “Logan, look at me baby.”
Logan lifted his head from his nook for Finn to take between his palms. To his surprise, Finn was smiling at him.
“It’s going to be okay,” he said. “If you had to- if you had to legally marry one of us, that doesn’t mean you love the other any less, okay? We know that, baby. You promised us forever, you don’t get to take it back now.”
Logan made a whining, desperate noise in the back of his throat. “Non, Fish-”
“No, Lo, listen to me.” Finn got his knees under himself to sit up. He looked at Leo briefly before turning back to Logan. “If we want all of those things- the house, the kids- we need to make that decision, yes. But right now, for this particular thing, we don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. Okay?”
“Yeah,” Leo agreed gently. “We can ask for an advisor, we can first try to do it without the whole legal marriage thing.” Leo kissed his head. “But if we had to, at some point, we would talk about it, okay? And it’d all be fine.”
But Logan still couldn’t be convinced, and another sob fell from his mouth. “I’m so sorry, I’m making this hard for you-”
“No,” Finn said firmly. “No, you are not. Do you hear me? Okay, listen, Lo. Both of you, listen, please.” He gripped Logan’s cheeks and pressed a hard kiss to his mouth, then to Leo’s. His eyes were firm and loving, and so fiery it was burning Logan up. “I waited for so long to be had by the both of you, even when I didn’t want it, even when I didn’t know it. It was always going to be us because we are supposed to be together forever, do you hear me? Forever.” He laughed, but he was crying slightly, too. “We are married, point blank, period. That piece of paper would be a law, nothing more. And I know that means it’s significant, I don’t want you to think I don’t know that.” He sighed, cupping Logan’s jaw with one hand and reaching up with the other to tangle in Leo’s hair. “But that does not change how much I love you, nor how much you love me, okay? That’s what’s important, that we love each other, and I would choose this life with you over and over again if I could, do you understand? Without a second thought, I would choose the both of you.”
“Me, too,” Leo whispered. Logan tilted his head enough to look at his face, blue eyes lined with red from his tears but not any less beautiful. “You both are everything, and I- I won’t let you go.” He let out a shaky breath and dipped his nose into Logan’s hair, eyes trained on Finn. “I’m not letting you go.”
“Not in a million years, sunshine,” Finn said. He leaned in to kiss Leo gently. “My sunshine baby.”
“Notre soleil.”
Finn ducked down to smile at Logan. “You’re right. Our sunshine.” He breathed deeply. “And you’re ours, too, okay? And I’m yours. I’m all yours, totally, completely yours. You both have me.” He kissed Logan’s forehead gently. “So we are going to figure this out, okay, baby? We will talk to someone, make a plan for the next few years.” Logan felt him smile against his skin. “And maybe we make a plan for the few years after that. Tiny human plans.”
Leo laughed. “Ouais. Tiny human plans.”
Logan hummed. “I like tiny humans.”
“I know you do,” Finn said with a chuckle. “A tiny baby girl, Lo, how’s that sound?”
Leo snorted. “We don’t get to choose their gender.”
“I know,” Finn nodded. His eyes were twinkling. “I just have a feeling.”
“I don’t care who they are,” Logan sighed contentedly. “I just want to love them.” He settled back into Leo and leaned into Finn’s hand that was still cradling his face. “I love you.”
“Love you,” Leo replied. “I love you so much.”
“Forever,” Finn said. He kissed them gently. “I love you forever, and one more forever as well.” He leaned back and slapped his hands against his knees, looking at Logan’s computer on the coffee table. “Now, let’s see what we’re dealing with.”
And in Leo’s warm embrace, with Finn’s chatter in his ear, Logan closed his eyes and tried to imagine a future. A future tomorrow, a future in ten years, a distant future in thirty. And in every single one, the brightest thing he could imagine was that he was in love; deeply, madly, free-fall love with his husbands for forever. He smiled- and, he decided, one more forever, too
i needdddd more teacher finn!!!! like him talking to his students about his hockey husbands 🫠🫠

“Okay,” Finn said with a sigh. He fell back into his chair and looked at his students. “Time's up. Pencils down.”
There was a light clatter as they all dropped their writing implements, a few rubbing their foreheads against the inevitable headache. Finn smiled at them and clapped his hands once.
“Well done. I'll give you an MCQ packet for the break, and don't forget your Pride and Prejudice essays that are due the week we get back, on the Friday. I want your drafts by the Monday, please, for feedback.” He stood. “This AP test doesn't know what's coming.”
There was a light chatter as they all stood up to hand in their practice FRQ exams and took the packet Finn handed them. They looked tired and worn out, but they were ready. They always were- Finn made sure of it.
“What did you think?” one of his students, Robbie, asked his classmate, Marianne.
She looked at him over her round glasses. They suited her. “We can't talk about it, you know that, Robert.”
Finn hid his smile behind a packet. She never called him by his nickname. He heard Robbie sigh and looked up to find him watching her longingly as she and her bouncy curls left the room with her friend, Claire, throwing a thank you! over their shoulders. Robbie sighed again and turned towards his backpack, catching Finn’s eye. He blushed. Finn raised his eyebrows at him.
“You okay there, Robbie?”
He nodded, but his smile was forced. “Yeah. Got a basketball tournament over break down in South Carolina. Pretty excited.”
“Well,” Finn said, standing to approach him at his desk. “You’re doing really well. You're still on track to be top of your class.”
Robbie shook his head. “I don't think so. Marianne has a higher GPA. Her entire life is academics, and the school newspaper, and the cello.” He counted each one off on his fingers. “I might get salutatorian, though.”
Finn bit the inside of his cheek in amusement. “Well, she's an honorable competitor to lose to.”
Robbie let out a wistful, airy chuckle. “Yeah. She is.” He paused and looked at Finn quizzically. “Mr. O’Hara, I have a question.”
Finn tried to hide his surprise. “Shoot.”
Robbie was chewing his lip nervously. “Did people ever,” he started. “I don't know, not take your academic achievements seriously, just because you were good at sports?”
Finn tilted his head. “What do you mean?”
Robbie huffed. “It's just- sometimes people ask me why I even bother with school, you know? When I've got a scholarship to play basketball in college and everything. Especially stuff like English. They don't understand.”
“Well,” Finn said, resting his hands on the desk. “You can always just enjoy school. That's not their business. My teammates teased me all the time, but I found a purpose in retirement outside of hockey, you know?” He glanced at the shelf of books he kept at the back of the room. He let students check them out, and they were filled with his own annotations. Some of them even had Leo’s, from all the times he'd read and reread Finn’s books from college. Finn smiled. “And even if I hadn't made it to the NHL, academics gave me something else that I would've been happy doing.”
Robbie’s eyebrows shot up. “You would've still been an English teacher?”
Finn nodded, smiling widely. “Oh, I absolutely would've. But I'm grateful I played hockey. Met my husbands.”
Robbie considered this for a moment. “And do you think that you and your husbands would've still gotten together, even if you hadn't played hockey?” At Finn’s silence, Robbie’s eyes widened. He spoke nervously. “I'm really sorry, you're not supposed to ask a teacher that.”
Finn laughed. “No, it's okay.” He thought for a moment. In his head he could imagine him and Leo running into one another in a bookstore, both reaching for the same trashy romance novels they read when they were really tired. “They definitely would have. Leo loves to read as much as I do, we would've gotten along really well. And Logan…” He paused again. He could picture Logan’s green eyes and smile so vividly. “Well, he'd be hard to get rid of in any lifetime. He's pretty stubborn. And he likes to be read to.”
Robbie chuckled, shouldering his backpack. “Well, he fights on the ice like he's stubborn, so I'm not surprised.”
Finn grinned, then blinked hard, eyes going to his watch. “Speaking off, I've got to get going soon. Gotta catch my husbands before warm-ups tonight.” He clapped Robbie on the shoulder. “Have a good break, bud.”
Robbie smiled. “You, too, Mr. O'Hara.”
Finn watched him walk out of the room. Just as he stepped through the doorway, Marianne approached him. She was rubbing her arm nervously and talking a mile a minute. Her cheeks were flushed and her eyes wide, but Robbie’s smile was so big that it seemed to relax her shoulders slightly. She swung her backpack around onto one arm, reaching inside to pull out Pride and Prejudice, sticky notes sticking out of the top. Marianne pointed to something on the page and continued talking. It was obvious that she wanted Robbie to follow along, but all he could do was stare at her, a small smile on his face. When she realized this, she paused, blushing, and fidgeted with the corners of the pages nervously. Robbie said something gently and gestured towards the library, which was at the end of the hall and open until late in the afternoon. Marianne nodded and they walked off together. Finn smiled at their retreating forms.
“Mr. O'Hara?”
Finn jumped slightly. He turned to find another student, Daniel, standing by Finn’s desk nervously. Finn eased his shoulders and smiled. “Hey, man. What's up?”
Daniel blushed. “I was wondering if I could get an extension on the essay,” he said, his Austrian accent thick with nerves.
Finn tilted his head. “Daniel, I can only do that so much for you. You're taking an AP class.”
His face flushed even more. “I know, it's just- the English is harder than what I was expecting. I'm struggling to analyze it.”
Finn sighed. He crossed his arms and leaned his hip against his desk. “Tell you what. I have an idea, okay? And if it doesn't work, I'll give you an extension, but I want you to try. The exam is in three weeks.”
Daniel nodded eagerly. “Okay.”
Finn reached for a photo frame on his desk. It was of him and Logan and Leo on the Harvard campus at sunset. They'd gone for a visit to see a football game and to go to the library, where Finn had led them both to a dark corner and kissed them breathless. Finn smiled at the memory. He turned the frame for Daniel to see.
“My husband, Logan. The shorter one,” he said. “He's from Quebec, so English is his second language.” He looked up to find Daniel staring hard at the photo. “I used to read to him in college to help him understand the hard texts. He found it easier, sometimes, to hear the words and talk about them with someone.”
Daniel nodded. “That's nice.” He looked at Finn. “But what do I do?”
Finn smiled at him. “What if you got Jesse to read to you? He's doing great in AP Lang, and he's an incredible writer. He took my class last year when he was a junior.”
Daniel blushed even harder, stark against his golden hair. Finn had suspected for a long time that he and Jesse liked each other, even if they didn't know it. When Daniel had moved their sophomore year from Austria, Jesse had taken right to him, inviting him to join the tennis team and always being an ear to listen, even when Daniel struggled to find the words. Finn felt his heart ache a little for them. He wanted to give them a push in the right direction, but he more than anyone knew that these things took time. So he settled for looking at Daniel's unsure face over his glasses.
“I think you should try it, Daniel. He's a good friend, he'd be happy to help. He can read you passages, talk them out with you, read your essay back to you.”
Daniel nodded. “Yeah. Yeah, he's a good friend.” He adjusted his bag on his shoulder, taking one last look at the photo in Finn's hands. “Thank you, Mr. O'Hara. I will try it, and let you know if I still need an extension.”
Finn grinned widely. “Sounds good.” He jerked his head towards the door. “Now get outta here. I gotta go watch my husbands play some stick and puck.”
Daniel nodded with a shy smile, saying a quiet goodbye before walking out of the room in that slightly nervous way he always did. Finn laughed softly. It seemed like years ago he watched Logan carry himself the same way, guarded against a language he wasn't totally confident in. Not anymore, though. Now he could take Finn and Leo apart in two languages, whispered in their ear in the early morning or gasped in their bedroom late at night. Or both. Even watching him yell on the ice got Finn all toasty.
Finn sighed wistfully, taking another look at the picture in his hands. He turned, placing it in its rightful place on his desk alongside all the others. There were loads of pictures spread all around his desk area, even hung up on the wall behind him. Some were of him and his Lions or Harvard teammates, some with his family. Most, however, were of him and Finn and Leo, or some combination thereof, all wrapped up in one another and smiling in every frame. Finn hadn't known that delirious happiness could be so long lasting, but he was now falling more in love each and every day and living a more blissful life than he could have imagined. True happiness, he supposed, was one of those feelings that was almost unshakeable.
Finn checked his watch one more time and hissed through his teeth. He grabbed the grading he'd need to do over the weekend and his bag, rushing to lock his classroom door and jog down the stairs. He waved to the secretary, Mx. Tulane, on the way out and searched frantically for his keys. Logan would've laughed at him, and Leo would've gently scolded him for never putting them in the same place, and all Finn could think about was blue eyes and dark brown hair and the greatest love he'd ever known. He was desperate for some good luck kisses.
An hour later saw him slightly out of breath and flashing his pass to the stadium security guards, jogging to where he knew his husbands would both be. He was correct, and found them on their pre-game loop around the back halls of the stadium. Logan had used to warm up on the bikes, but ever since returning to Gryffindor he joined Leo in his and Finn's old warm-up.
I don't want soleil to be warming up alone anymore, he'd said. And I've spent too much time away from you both to do it anymore than I have to now. Plus, then you always know where to find us to kiss us before the game.
Indeed, Finn had known where to find them. They were running ahead of him, both in their spandex and some shorts. They were talking happily, and Leo said something that made Logan shove him playfully. Leo just laughed. It sounded like sunshine.
Finn couldn't contain his excitement anymore and ran forward. At the last second, Logan heard his footsteps and turned, eyes widening in delight. He slowed down, expecting Finn to stop, but Finn just kept running. He bent down and wrapped his arms securely around Logan's waist, picking him up and jogging a few steps before halting and squeezing him tightly. Logan was laughing freely, more freely than he did with anyone else, as Leo slowed down, too, with a smile on his face.
“Hey, teach,” Leo said. He looked Finn up and down. “You look hot.”
“Hi, butter baby,” Finn said. “And my Lolo.”
Logan wriggled around in protest, but Finn just held him tighter and kissed his cheek a few times. Logan was still laughing and turned his head to cup Finn's jaw, bringing him into a proper kiss. Finn sighed against his mouth contentedly, setting him down on the ground so he could hold Logan's face firmly with both hands. Logan's fingers were all in his hair and tugging at the strands. Finn felt a bit dizzy.
A warm presence made its way to their sides. “Do I not get a treat, too?”
“Mm,” Finn hummed against Logan’s mouth. “One sec.” He pressed a last firm kiss to Logan's mouth before pulling back with a smile. “Hi, Lo, baby.”
Logan's mouth was red. “Salut.”
Finn kissed his cheek before turning to Leo, grabbing his hips and pulling him flush. “And how's my sunshine?”
“Good,” Leo said. He smiled into Finn's first kiss. “Better, now that I'm with both of you.”
Finn just kissed him deeper. He clutched one arm around Leo's waist and one at the back of his neck, using this leverage to dip him suddenly. Leo gasped against his mouth, grabbing at Finn's shoulders. Finn loved to do this to the both of them, to take them by surprise and romance them, no matter how cheesy they thought him to be. He loved the feeling of their bodies and skin beneath his hands. He didn't think he'd ever tire of it.
After a long moment, Finn broke their kiss, staring down at Leo's flushed face and hair that seemed like it was floating towards the floor. Leo was smiling exasperatedly and lovingly at him. “You sure know how to sweep boys off their feet, huh, O'Hara?”
Finn kissed his forehead. “I've had lots of practice.” He helped Leo stand and opened his arm for Logan to join them. “How are we feeling, lovers?”
Logan kissed his jaw. “Ready. Right, Le?”
Leo traced a finger down Logan’s jaw and leaned down to kiss him lightly. “So ready. Colorado doesn't know what's coming for them.”
Logan leaned into the touch. Finn watched them love each other and smiled. He drew them closer to his body. “I missed you today.” He rested his head on top of Logan's. “I thought of you.”
Leo kissed his forehead. “Oh yeah?”
Finn nodded. “Robbie was nervous about being an academic and an athlete. I think he has a crush on Marianne, who's the smartest girl in school. She's not an athlete.”
“What'd you tell him?” Logan asked.
Finn closed his eyes and swayed into the warmth of their bodies. “That I have husbands who like to read or be read to, and even if I hadn't played hockey and had chosen to just go into teaching, they would've loved me regardless.” He paused, then snorted lightly. “Oh, and Jesse and Daniel are totally crushing on each other. Jesse is going to help him with the hard English.” Finn could feel Logan’s smile against his shoulder.
“Mm,” Leo said into Finn's hair. “You mean we could've had a sexy English teacher from the beginning?”
Finn squeezed his hip. “Hey, you loved when I played hockey. I was a very sexy seventeen.”
“Ouais, you were,” Logan laughed. “The sexiest seventeen.” He kissed Finn's shoulder and Leo's chest. “Allez, we need to finish our warm-up.”
“Go on,” Finn said. He kissed them both hard once more each and patted their butts firmly. “I love you, good luck, I love you, you'll be amazing, I love you. Have I mentioned that I love you?”
Leo kissed his forehead and ran away. When he was far enough down the hallway, he turned to jog backwards. “I love you!” he shouted, eyes twinkling. “C'mon, Lo, I'll race you back!”
Logan pressed a fleeting kiss to Finn's cheek. “Je t'aime,” he said, then he was off and chasing after Leo. Leo's smile was bright and toothy, Logan yelling at him in French and him responding in kind, both of them laughing hard.
Finn couldn't help the fond feeling that arose in his chest as he watched them run away. He missed them with every step they took, but no matter- they'd be back in his arms in a couple of hours, ready to go home and read a book before bed. Finn bit his lip around a grin and turned to go to the family box.

Leo felt his phone vibrate as soon as he stepped into his building’s elevator. He rolled out his shoulders and let out an exasperated sigh, but smiled as soon as he saw the screen. Difficult little rockstar, it said, with a picture of Finn on Leo’s family boat in New Orleans, looking up at the camera as he sat on the seat, all sunburnt and happy. Leo let it ring for a moment, just to look at Finn’s gorgeous freckles a bit longer, before picking up. “Hello?”
“Hi, sunshine! Good day?” Finn sounded bright, a contrast to the rain that was pouring outside.
“All right, yeah,” Leo answered. “Long day at work, lots of editing. Went on a run this morning, so that was nice.”
Leo could hear Finn’s pout. “Without me?”
The elevator door dinged and Leo stepped out, amused. “Sweetheart, you’re busy, and you live a forty minute train ride away. I can do long runs on the weekends with you, but not on a Tuesday at five in the morning.”
Leo would bet anything that that bottom lip was still stuck out. “Why do you live so far?” Finn groaned.
“Because I’m not a difficult little rockstar.” Leo moved the phone to hold it with his shoulder as he dug for his keys. “I can’t afford a penthouse.”
“You know, it doesn’t have to be a penthouse! There are other options.”
“None within my budget, I’m afraid. It’s okay, I’ll travel anywhere to eat those croissants from the place a couple blocks down.”
“I thought you came to visit us?”
Leo bit his lip as he shut the apartment door behind him. “That, too.” He shucked off his shoes and flopped on the couch with a groan. “It’s been a long day, fuck me.”
“Well, not when you’re forty minutes away.”
Leo rolled his eyes and felt his cheeks warm. “Shut up.”
“I bet all my penthouse rent that you’re blushing right now.”
“You can’t see me.”
“But I know you. And I love you. I know you and I love you, so I know you’re blushing.” He lowered his voice as if to keep their conversation private. “I’ll travel forty minutes to make you blush more, sunshine, if you want.”
Leo tisked. “Aren’t you supposed to be at the studio?”
“Yeah, I’m taking a break. We’ve recorded these damn backing harmonies so many times I’ll be singing them in my sleep.”
“Well,” Leo said, standing to stretch and walk to his bedroom. “We can FaceTime later if you want.” He paused to roll out his neck. “Is Lo there?”
“Nah, he’s not needed for this. I think he’d actually throw the producer’s notebook at the wall if he was here.”
Leo laughed. “Well, then I’m glad he’s not there, then.”
Finn hummed. “Actually, I think you’ll really like where Logan is right now.”
“What?” Leo furrowed his brow as he pushed open his bedroom door. “What do you mean-” He let out a gasp and then smiled. “Oh.”
Logan was in the middle of his bed on his stomach, starfished out as if reaching for them in his sleep. He was in one of Leo’s sweatshirts, one from his college newspaper that he wrote for, and his hair was a mess of long waves. The sheets were pooled low, and the hoodie had ridden up, so Leo got a clear view of the warm, soft skin of Logan’s lower back. Leo lowered his voice as he spoke into the phone.
“Is this a surprise?” he whispered.
“Oo-ways, peanut butter,” Finn said. “Is he sleeping?”
“Yeah.” Leo started moving towards the bed.
“Go on, wake him up. We can say hi together.”
“Okay. I’ll put you on speaker and on the pillow, but don’t make a sound yet, ‘kay?”
“Roger that, babe.”
Leo set his phone down on the pillow unoccupied by Logan’s head and knelt on the mattress. Logan looked so peaceful and relaxed. Leo admired the way his long eyelashes casted shadows over his upper cheeks, and how his perfect Cupid’s bow lips were parted and squished against the pillow. He ran a hand through Logan’s hair softly before settling it on his lower back.
“Logan.” When that still didn’t rouse him, Leo began to press kisses to the back of his neck. “Lo, sweetheart, I’m home.”
There was the tensing of Logan’s muscles as he woke up, then they relaxed once more against the sheets with a deep breath. “Soleil.”
Leo smiled wider. Logan hadn’t even opened his eyes. “Hi, honey. Good nap?”
Logan just made a sleepy affirmative sound and rolled over onto his side, green eyes now looking into Leo’s own. He lifted an arm up. “Ici, mon coeur.”
“One sec.” Leo picked up his phone in his left hand and joined Logan in the bed. He wrapped his arm around Logan’s waist and looped it up around his shoulder to hold the phone above them. He pressed a kiss to Logan’s forehead as he tangled their legs. “Say hi to Fish, sweetheart.”
“Hey, sweet thing.”
Logan’s smile was tired, but content. “Rouge.”
“That’s me. Hey, I kept the surprise a secret, are you proud?”
Leo felt Logan’s amused huff against his neck. “Ouais, so proud.”
“Aw, shucks, baby, thanks.” There was some noise on the other line. “Hey, look, I gotta go, but I love you both very much, okay? I’ll see you soon, I’m stopping by after work, Le.”
Leo just shook his head fondly. “I can’t stop you, can I?”
“Nor would you want to. Okay, goodbye, I love you, love you, love you, love you-”
Logan laughed. “Ouais, je t’aime, mon rouge.”
“Love you, sweetheart,” Leo whispered.
“I love you!” Then the line went dead.
Leo threw his phone towards the end of the bed and wrapped Logan up properly. “That key I gave you came in handy, huh?”
“Mhm.” Logan yawned and nuzzled closer. “Missed you. I wanted to see you.” He kissed Leo’s jaw. “Good surprise?”
“Of course.” Leo palmed the skin of Logan’s hip. “I like your sweatshirt.”
Logan bit at Leo’s skin. “I like you.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Ouais. I love you.”
“Well how about that?” Leo hovered above him to kiss him lingeringly. “I love you, too.”
Logan reached up for him. “Come back.”
“Hold on, sweetheart, let me change into some comfy clothes.”
Leo left Logan alone and dozing for a few minutes to change into some joggers and a sweatshirt. It was one of Finn’s that he stole, a well-worn New York Rangers hoodie, and he played with the hood strings as he knelt back on the bed to pull back the covers.
“When does Finn get out?” he asked in French.
“Around seven. He’s got the other key you gave us.” Logan opened his arms again for Leo to settle into. “He said he’d bring dinner. From that Thai place we both like.”
“Oh, that sounds so good right now.” Leo let out a sigh and allowed his weight to settle into the bed. “Best Tuesday ever.”
Logan hummed and squeezed Leo tighter. “Sleep.”
“You read my mind.” Leo brushed Logan’s hair back from his face to look at his droopy green eyes. “How do you do that?”
Logan’s smile was warm. “Because I love you.”
“I love you.” Leo nudged their noses together then cupped Logan’s head to his chest. “Nap, sweetheart, until Finn gets here.”
Logan just let out a content sigh and kissed his chin before they both closed their eyes.
***
Leo woke up a while later to a hand running gently through his hair. He leaned into the touch and opened his eyes, stretching his toes towards the end of the bed. When he was met with a freckled grin and soft brown eyes framed by dark glasses, he smiled. “Hi.”
“Hi, baby.” Finn leaned down and kissed his forehead. “How are you?”
“Good.” Leo pressed into the hand still carding through his curls. “You’re here.”
“Of course I am. Got my boys all cozy and waiting in bed for me.”
Leo shifted a bit to get a hand on the back of Finn’s neck and drew him down for a kiss. “You want to stay the night? I don’t want you going out in the dark.”
Finn bit his lip playfully. “You know I can just call my driver.”
Leo nipped his lip back. “Maybe I just want you to wake up in my bed.”
“Can’t argue with that.” Finn’s pleased eyes flitted to look over Leo’s shoulder. “Good morning, grumpy.”
Leo turned to find green eyes examining them both. Logan just let out a tired grunt from the back of his throat and stretched in Leo’s arms. “Salut.”
Finn leaned over Leo’s body to kiss Logan, too, before sitting up and away. Leo thought he looked so handsome in his plum quarter zip and jeans. “You hungry, lovers? Got some Thai for you.”
“Thank you, sweetheart,” Leo said. He kissed Logan’s cheek. “C’mon, honey, gotta get up.” And Logan’s groan, Leo smiled and scratched a hand through his hair. “You’ve been so lazy this afternoon. Just sleeping.”
Logan let out another groan and began to roll off the bed. He sat on the edge and rubbed his face with his hands with a yawn. “Merde.” He stretched his arms above his head and stood, smiling at them both. “Salut.”
“Hi, baby.” Finn held out a hand to pull Leo up off the bed and into a kiss. “And my other baby. Hungry?”
“Starving.”
Ten minutes later, they were sitting at Leo’s small dining room table with heaps of take out boxes in front of them. Leo and Logan had both laughed when they saw how much food Finn brought, but he’d just smiled and said he couldn’t choose just three dishes, opening the box of chicken satay. Leo couldn’t say he wasn’t grateful- the leftovers would likely last him for at least two days.
“Thank you for dinner, sweetheart,” Leo said, scooping some Massaman curry onto his rice.
Finn smiled up briefly from his own plate. “Of course, Le. You had a long day.”
Leo hummed around a bite. “It just dragged on. The whole day I was thinking about coming back and watching that new show I started.” He reached out and squeezed Logan’s hand. “But my surprise was better.”
Logan took his fingers and kissed him. “Bien.”
Leo took up his fork again. “Do you guys need anything to stay the night? It’s been a while, I’m usually at your place.”
Finn shook his head. “Nope, brought a bag. No comfy clothes, though, so I guess we’ll have to borrow yours, unfortunately.”
“Shame,” Leo said sarcastically.
Finn shrugged his shoulders. “What can you do?” He then gave Logan a meaningful look, one that Leo didn’t understand. He’d gotten good at reading them in the year and half they’d been together, and most of the time he could, but sometimes the fact that they’d known each other for much longer caught up with them, and Leo was left trying to put the pieces together.
“What?” Leo asked, looking between them. He sank a little into his seat. “Is there something wrong?”
Both of them turned abruptly to him, eyes wide in surprise. Finn shook his head rapidly back and forth and took Leo’s hand. “No, no, Le, baby, nothing’s wrong.” He laughed nervously. “Actually, we wanted to ask you something.”
Leo furrowed his eyebrows. “Okay…”
Logan shifted his chair closer and rested a hand on Leo’s upper thigh. His green eyes were earnest. “We were wondering…” He looked at Finn briefly, who smiled and gave him an encouraging nod. When Logan caught Leo’s eye again, he was smiling, too. “How would you feel if this was one of the last nights spent in this apartment?”
Leo felt his heart stop for a minute. “What? You mean…”
Finn kissed his fingers. “Move in with us, baby.”
Leo brought his free hand to his mouth. He felt his eyes starting to become wet. “Really?”
Logan let out a teary laugh and squeezed Leo’s thigh. “Ouais, mon coeur. Move in with us.”
“Oh my God.” Leo knew his grip on Finn’s hand was tight, but he couldn’t seem to let go. He nodded his head and looked between them. “Yes. Oh my God, yes.”
The next thing he knew his face was being gripped between Logan’s hands as he pressed kisses all over Leo’s cheeks. They were both laughing and crying as Leo reached out to draw him into his lap. He felt Logan’s warm weight settle over his thighs as a different pair of hands came to run their fingers through his hair and eventually settle on the base of his neck. Leo turned his face blindly for Finn’s mouth, Logan moving to kiss down the side of his neck. Leo kissed Finn hard before pulling back to look at him. “Are you sure?”
“Of course we are, what kind of question is that?” Finn was standing above him and smiling so wide almost all his teeth were showing. “We miss you when you’re not there. It’s not home without you, baby.”
That made Leo close his eyes, a tear slipping out and falling down his cheek. He felt Logan gently kiss it away. “Mon coeur.”
“I’m sorry,” Leo whispered. “I just- to hear you say that, I-” He cut himself off and took in a shaky breath before opening his eyes again. Logan had settled himself into the crook of Leo’s neck and Finn was cupping Leo’s jaw gently. Leo took a deep breath. “It’s not that I don’t know that you love me. It’s just that, you’ve been together for longer, and were public together before being public with me, and even still people aren’t really aware. And there are times when you’re away for so long anyways, I guess- I don’t know, I guess I just thought it was easier, having two separate places, so people didn’t speculate as much. That it was safer for you.”
Finn made a soft sound and kissed Leo’s forehead hard. “What, did you think we wouldn’t want you to come live with us? We love you, baby. We want you forever, and we want you home.”
“Ouais,” Logan said. Leo turned to look at him, and Logan kissed him gently before continuing. “And we don’t care what people think.” He flicked his eyes to Finn before kissing Leo again. “We were thinking of taking a break. Of being home with you.”
Leo sniffed, wiping his cheek. “Huh?”
Finn leaned down to drape his arms over Leo’s shoulders. “The album’s almost done. And normally we’d be planning a tour, or something, but we thought- maybe we delay this tour by a couple years.”
Leo’s eyes widened. “What? I can’t ask you to do-”
“You’re not asking us to do anything, baby,” Finn said. He let out a sigh into Leo’s neck. “Honestly, I’m really tired. I love music, and I love performing, but… I don’t know, maybe we do a New York concert series for a couple weeks after the album is out, but then we just want to stay home with you. Maybe write a bit, spend time with friends and family, do some volunteering, and just be with each other.”
“Oui,” Logan whispered. His hands were mindlessly running through Leo’s hair. “We want to stay still for a while.”
“Settle,” Finn contributed.
“Ouais, settle.” Logan touched their foreheads together. “I thought I had everything, when I got Finn, but something inside of me was still- restless. I thought it was because we were moving so much, but then I met you, mon soleil. And for the first time, I felt still inside.” He kissed Leo’s cheek. “So let us be still together, for a while.”
“And who knows,” Finn said. “Maybe after a few years, we come back and do a tour, but this time engaged.”
Leo breathed in so sharply that he had to clear his throat. “What?”
Finn knew he’d got him. Leo could tell by the smile that was pressed into his neck. “I said what I said.”
“But, you two-”
“Are not getting married without you, mon amour.” Logan’s eyes were amused now. “I thought you knew that.”
“Oh.” Leo felt his heart in his throat. “You mean…”
“I’m not proposing now,” Logan said gently, smiling at them both. “But when I do, I’ll put a ring on both your fingers.”
Finn cupped his jaw softly with one hand. “And who says it’ll be you that proposes first?”
Logan’s grin was a bit fond, a bit mischievous. “Because it’s a competition. And I like to win.”
Finn’s eyebrows shot up. “Is that right?”
“Ouais.”
“Hm.” Finn leaned down to kiss Logan, then turned Leo’s face to kiss him, too. “We mean it, sunshine,” he mumbled against Leo’s mouth. “We don’t want to do anything without you, preferably not ever.” With a last kiss, he pulled back and smiled. “So let’s start by having you get out of this tiny apartment.”
Leo rolled his eyes. “It’s not that bad.”
“You’re right, it’s not.” Finn stood straighter, a hand still on each of them, to look around the space. “We’ve got a bigger kitchen, though, so ha-ha.”
“You do,” Leo said.
“We do,” Logan corrected. He tugged on Leo’s hair gently. “It’s yours now, too, soleil. Anything you want.”
Leo smiled and looked at them both. Finn had moved to stand in front of the chair beside Logan, so Leo had a view of both of their gorgeous faces. He leaned closer, warm from the weight of Logan’s body and Finn’s hand on his ribs, to catch their eyes. “What if I just want you?”
Finn’s eyes were delighted. “Can do that, baby, easy.”
“Ouais,” Logan agreed. He kissed Leo’s temple. “Toujours, mon amour.”
“Mm.” Leo ran a hand up and down Logan’s warm back. “So, we’re really doing this? I’m moving in? You’re taking a break?”
“Fuck yes, we’re doing this.” Finn sounded relieved. “I want to do nothing else but relax and wait for you to come home from work, Le, so we can kiss you hello.”
Leo shrugged. “Sounds good to me. Lo?”
“Mm, ouais.” Logan wrapped his arms around Leo’s shoulders and tucked his face into his neck. “You can join our gym.”
Leo snorted. “Of course that’s what you’re thinking of right now.”
“I want to go to the gym with you!”
Leo could feel Logan’s pout against his skin and kissed the side of his head. “Whatever you want, sweetheart. I’ll go to the gym with you.”
Logan just let out a pleased sound and settled himself further onto Leo’s lap. Leo caught Finn’s eye, who was looking at them both fondly, and they smiled at each other. Finn sighed, then bent down to kiss the tops of their heads. “Okay. You two wanna finish dinner? Then we can take a look at finishing out Leo’s lease and when we can move stuff in.” He bounced on his toes excitedly. “Oh, I can’t wait, this is awesome!”
Leo laughed. “Sure is, honey.” He patted Logan’s hip. “Let’s finish eating, Lo, then we can cuddle and get some logistics done.”
Logan sighed, but complied, kissing Leo’s neck before going to sit in his chair again, kissing Finn, too, along the way. “We did good, mon rouge.”
“So good.” Finn turned to Leo and kissed him briefly before sitting down. “You’re so gorgeous, Le, baby.”
Leo blushed and picked up his fork. “And you’re a sweet talker, Heartthrob O’Hara.”
Finn winked and nodded to Leo’s plate. “Eat up, babe, we got a sexy night of finances to get to.” He waggled his eyebrows. “And maybe a sexy night of other activities, too.”
Leo just shook his head fondly and speared a piece of chicken.

Four months later
“Wow, those disguises of yours sure are secretive.”
Finn smiled at Cassie widely, taking off his sunglasses and lowering the scarf from around his nose. “Thanks, Cass. Looking stunning as usual.”
Cassie raised her eyebrows at Leo before smiling back at Finn. “Why thank you, Finnegan.”
“That is not my name.”
“It is until you give me the number of that hot friend of yours from that dinner you hosted last week.”
“Percy?” Logan asked as he took off his own sunglasses.
“Yep. Very cute, even though he was a bit awkward.”
Finn barked out a laugh as he unzipped his backpack. “Yeah, he’s usually not like that. And I already gave him your number.”
Cassie smiled. “Perfect. I’ll be sure to go easy on him.” She patted Leo’s head and pushed her chair back. “I’ve got a meeting, but I’ll see you later, Le? We’ve got that meeting for the piece with that sexy Olympic diver.”
Leo nodded and saluted. “You got it, boss, I’ll see you at three.”
Cassie waved good-bye to Finn and Logan before she was out of the office door. Leo waited until it had closed behind her before standing and crossing in front of his desk to wrap his arms around Finn’s waist. “Hi, sweetheart,” he said into a quick kiss. He moved to wrap Logan up and kiss him, too. “And my other sweetheart. How was your day?”
“Good,” Finn said, unpacking the bag he’d brought with him. “Had that virtual meeting after our run this morning, after you left. We’re gonna fund a charity run for the Trevor Project in April. Then we went for a walk, wrote for a little bit.”
“Mm,” Leo said. Logan still had him in an embrace, so he caught Finn’s eye over Logan’s shoulder. “Anything good?”
Finn shrugged. “I don’t know, something about some hottie with blond hair and blue eyes. Could be Lo’s imaginary friend, though, you never know.”
That got Logan to pull back and face Finn with a slight scowl. “I don’t have an imaginary friend.”
“Not according to what Noelle told me, about when you were a kid. How’s Jacques these days?”
Logan groaned and dropped his head back with a curse. “Merde, I can’t believe she told you.”
Finn grinned and finished laying out their food. He reached out and took Leo’s hand to pull him over. “We got you your favorite banh mi from that little place you like, and an oatmeal raisin cookie from the bakery down the street. Good?”
Leo smiled and kissed his cheek. “Excellent, I love you. Thank you.”
Finn looked pleased. “Good. Let’s eat.”
They ended up sitting around the desk, Leo across from them in his big chair and Finn and Logan in two on the other side. Their conversation was gentle and mundane, as it so often was when they visited Leo for lunch, but Leo took special pride in how much joy he felt from living a daily, domestic life. So much of the first year and a half of being with them had been fanfare and travel and trying to avoid the spotlight as much as possible, which was hard to do when dating two of the sexiest and most talented, in Leo’s opinion, men in the world. There had been stretches where Leo, unable to take time off of work to travel, had been left alone in New York, video chatting with them every free second they all had. It was worth it, but tiring, and so moving into their penthouse and being there while Finn and Logan took time off from work did settle something in Leo, just like Logan had said it would the day they asked him.
Leo looked across his desk at them, Logan laughing as Finn told a story of some kind, and felt himself soften. These kind, silly, dorky, beautiful boys had chosen him, kept choosing him, made it a point in their relationship to emphasize that, if given the choice, they would both choose him over and over again. It warmed Leo through and filled him up with so much joy he didn’t know what to do with it all.
They must have noticed him spacing out, because Logan set down his sandwich for a moment to reach and touch Leo’s forearm with his warm fingers. “Le? Ça va?”
Leo shook himself out of his trance. “Yeah, sorry.” He settled back into his chair and grinned at them. “Just love you.”
Logan smiled back at him. “We love you, too.” He tilted his head to look at Leo, then at Finn. “I’d like to take you on a date tomorrow. To go skating.”
Leo laughed. “I can’t skate well, oh God.”
“Non, non, I’ll teach you! I’ll hold your hands.” Logan looked excited, which wasn’t normal for him outside of a competitive situation. “We can disguise ourselves easily with winter clothes, and it gets dark early, so we can go out to dinner, too, and not have to worry as much.”
Finn nodded eagerly. “Sounds good to me, baby.” He looked thoughtful for a moment. “Hm, maybe I put on a British accent, just to fake everyone out.”
Leo winced. “Please no, honey. I love you so much, but your accents are terrible.”
Finn stuck his tongue out. “Ha-ha.” He pulled out his phone. “I’ll have Paul come and watch us from afar, just to be safe, he loves to skate. I’ll pay for him and his wife to come and have some fun.”
“Hey, this is my date I’m taking you on,” Logan protested with a kiss to Finn’s cheek. “I do the planning.”
Finn typed on his phone for a moment longer before setting it down. He took Logan’s face in his hands and pressed kisses to his skin repeatedly. “Sorry, sorry, I promise, I’m done. Wine, dine, and sixty-nine us tomorrow all you want, baby.”
Logan captured Finn’s lip in a real kiss before looking at Leo. “Soleil? Sounds good?”
“Ouais, sounds good,” Leo said, taking another bite of his sandwich. “I really can’t skate for shit, though, so I’ll need help.”
“As far as I’m concerned,” Finn said with a smirk, “that’s just an excuse to get our hands all over you. No problems on my end.”
“One lunch,” Leo laughed. “I want one lunch without any sexual innuendos, please. For my birthday or something.”
Finn pouted. “But that’s half my material! I can’t help it if I see you and they just pop into my head.”
Leo shook his head fondly. “One lunch, O’Hara, I challenge you. And if you do it, you’ll get a surprise.”
Finn sat at attention. “What kind of surprise?”
Leo shrugged innocently. “Guess you’ll just have to wait and see.”
Finn closed his eyes and took a deep breath, hanging his head back. “Fuck, you can’t say things like that when we are in an office, baby.”
Leo wiped his hands on a napkin. “I’ll have you know, it’s my office, with shades. And the door locks. And I have disinfecting wipes, just in case, and leather chairs.”
Logan looked between them and the door. “How much time do you have left on your break?”
Leo stood to walk around to the other side. He didn’t miss the way both Finn and Logan spread their legs a little and smiled. “Enough.” He bent to whisper in Logan’s ear. “Go lock the door and lower the blinds, sweetheart, and take off your shirt. I’ll get started on our redhead.”
Logan’s eyes glazed over briefly before he shot up, reaching for the door handle with one hand and behind him to grip his shirt fabric in the other. Leo chuckled and looked down to Finn, who was wetting his lips with his tongue. “This okay?”
Finn just looked him up and down. “You know, Le, baby, I kind of like visiting you at work.”
Leo nudged their noses together as he felt two other hands come up from behind to work on his belt. “I like you visiting me at work, too.”
“Off,” Logan said, voice low and his lips kissing wetly at Leo’s neck. “Off, please, allez.”
Leo smiled, giving Finn one last wink, before reaching behind himself to help Logan remove his shirt. He was a lucky man, indeed.
just anything fluffy and domestic pls I just wanna see our boys happy 🥹🥹
Every time I write "husbandS" my computer wants to correct it to "husbanD", which is SEVERLY homophobic, my goodness. Like, Finn has two husbands, okay, Microsoft? So do Leo and Logan. They're a package deal. Golly gee.

Finn turned his face into Logan's bicep and brushed his lips gently against the warm skin. Logan hummed into his hair and stroked his arm from where it was wrapped around him. The beach was peaceful in the late summer evening, only a few other people dotting the quiet Mediterranean seaside. They had spent all morning in Logan's maman's family home, Leo cooking an incredible lunch with some fresh vegetables and chicken from the market. The white wine had been sweet on Finn's tongue, then Logan's as they'd kissed while watching Leo bustle around the stove. A satiating morning had turned into a scorching afternoon, which Leo had happily declared called for a beach day. He had been so gorgeous and giddy as they'd set down their stuff on the sand, immediately running into the waves as soon as Finn had finished rubbing sunscreen on his back. Finn and Logan had followed, and Finn had taken every opportunity to toss his boys around in the ocean, for nothing else but to see their smiles and hear their beautiful, tinkly laughs.
Now, though, Finn was sleepy, snuggled against Logan on their beach blanket. It was warm with both of their body heat, but neither of them minded. Finn, in fact, never wanted to be any further from Logan than this.
He opened a tired eye and lifted his head to glance at the ocean. The sunset was golden and orange, a sharp contrast to the bright blue water. If he squinted hard enough, though, he could distinguish a wheat-colored head bobbing out in the sea. He smiled and pinched Logan’s hip. Logan’s chest shifted under his head.
“Quoi?” Logan's voice was gravelly from disuse.
“Look. Out in the ocean.”
Finn felt Logan’s neck strain for a moment and then his chest shook with a laugh. “We are never getting him out of there, are we?”
“I know,” Finn said, shaking his head fondly. “He's like our own little water bug.”
“A very handsome water bug.”
“Oh, for sure, baby.” Finn sighed and snuggled further into Logan's chest. “I like it here.”
Logan smiled down at him. “Ouais?”
“Uh huh.” Another sigh. “It's very peaceful.”
“Mm.” Logan kissed his forehead. “You're so beautiful here. Le, too.”
Finn smiled into Logan's skin. “Yeah?”
“Ouais.” Logan made a content noise. “Si beaux.”
Finn closed his eyes once more, weighed down by the hot air and Logan's warm body. He felt calm, breathing even and measured. Logan would every now and then place a kiss on Finn's head or scratch his hand through Finn's hair. It was soothing, relaxing, a nice break from the constant chaos of the hockey season. It was easier, now that Logan was back in Gryffindor, but Finn still sometimes felt that they barely saw each other during the week. He felt so grateful for the almost three months of rest he could sing.
Finn didn't know how long he and Logan had been laying there, but after a time he felt the ground rumble slightly underneath him, and opened his eyes to find Leo staring down adoringly at them both. He smiled. “Hi, butter baby. Having fun?”
“Mm hm,” Leo said. He reached for a towel to dry himself off. “Good nap?”
“Ouais,” Logan replied. He patted the blanket on his other side. “Ici, soleil.”
“I'm gonna get you all wet, honey.”
“Non, lay your towel down on top of the blanket.” He looked up at Leo through his lashes, and Finn grinned into his skin. Logan's eyelashes were long and thick, and he got anything he wanted when he looked at them like that. “I want to snuggle.”
Leo sighed. “Only you want to snuggle when it's boiling outside.”
Finn shrugged. “You'll cool us down, sweetheart.”
“Allez,” Logan said insistently. “Leo.”
Leo shook his head fondly but walked around to the other side of them, laying his towel down carefully on top of the blanket. Finn felt the vibrations in Logan's body when Leo laid his head on his chest and reached across to gently rub Leo’s torso. He was tan, both of his husbands were, a bit softer now that they weren't in the playoffs. Finn liked to imagine a day when they were all a bit softer; they'd always be athletic and always be strong, but he dreamed of kissing their soft bellies as much as he currently loved to dig his teeth into their defined abs. He breathed heavily into Logan's chest and burrowed himself in closer.
“Rouge?” Logan asked softly. “You okay?”
Finn nodded. “I just really love you.” He kissed Logan's warm skin. “I want to stay here forever.”
“That sounds good to me,” Leo agreed gently. He bumped his forehead against Finn's where they were both laying on Logan. “Hey, wanna get married again? Right here, right now?”
That made Logan and Finn laugh. “That sounds like something I would say, baby,” Finn said.
Leo shrugged, blue eyes bright and playful. “What can I say? You rubbed off on me.” He shifted to prop himself up on an elbow and turned slightly sideways, chin against Logan’s chest. “So, what do you think? Marry me again?”
Finn couldn't help the shameless grin that spread over his face. “Anytime you want, baby.”
“Oui,” Logan whispered. He wrapped an arm around Leo's shoulders to bring him into a kiss. He didn't let them separate, pressing their temples together with their eyes closed. “I'll marry you a thousand times, mon coeur. I'll marry you forever.”
They looked so beautiful in the sunset, all tucked together and close, that it stole Finn's breath. “I love forever,” he said. He leaned over to kiss each of them, now sprawled across Logan's chest. “I'll take all the forevers with you.”
Leo scrunched his nose around his grin. “That doesn't sound so bad.”
Finn snorted. “‘Not so bad’, he says.” He shifted to look at Leo directly, nose to nose. “I'll have you know that they call me Heartthrob O'Hara for a reason. I could have a line of suitors and I'd still choose you forever.”
“Non, no suitors,” Logan said grumpily, squeezing Finn around his waist. “Just us.”
Leo laughed and stroked Finn's hair back from his face. “You act as though you belong with anyone else but us.” He kissed Finn's nose. “You, Heartthrob O'Hara, are ours in every lifetime. No take-backs.”
Finn knew he was smiling dopily, but he didn't really care. “All yours, lovers.”
“Maris.”
“Huh?”
“Husbands,” Leo translated.
Finn's heart gave a brief jolt. “Yeah,” he said softly. “Husbands.” A giddy feeling spread up through his chest, and he pushed himself up on a forearm to kiss each of them hard, smiling the whole time. “You're my husbands.” He laughed. “Oh my God, you're my husbands.”
Logan and Leo laughed along with him, each with a hand on his back. Their laughter grew and grew until they were shaking with it, the French sunset disappearing on the horizon. Finn stood up in the dimming light and held both his hands out to them.
“C'mon,” he said. “I've got a date with two hot men and a bottle of wine.”
Logan and Leo placed a hand in each of his and stood, too, gathering their towels and blanket into the bags they brought. Finn looped his arm through Leo's and laced the fingers of his other hand with Logan's. Leo rolled his eyes playfully, claiming he was “pulling a Logan” by not carrying anything. Finn just kissed his cheek with a wink and told him he'd make it up to him later.
Together, Finn and his husbands walked up the road back to the Tremblay's house, shivering slightly in the cooling evening air. When they got to the front steps, Finn kissed them both lightly then held open the door. As they walked through, each pressing a hand to his waist in thanks, he had the same feeling he had on the dazzling French beach: calm, peaceful, and irrevocably in love. He smiled and closed the door behind them.
Hii!! If you'd wanna write something about Leo being a bit younger than Finn and Logan that would be lovely! Maybe him being slightly insecure about it and FinnLo reassuring him, or maybe he misses his mama and needs some extra hugs, or perhaps Finn and Logan have to teach him something about adulthood, like paying bills or smth. Whatever you feel like really! No pressure though 🥰
Have a lovely day!!
Personally, I feel like Leo was pretty ready for a lot of adult stuff, like paying rent and cooking for himself and taxes. I headcanon Wyatt as working as an accountant or in finance and actually LOVING IT, he's a total math and numbers nerd (if you were wondering, Eloise works at a nonprofit and volunteers at a women's shelter and you can fight me on that). So I feel like Mama and Papa Knut prepared Leo really well for the real world. HOWEVER, it's hard on ANYONE to move away from home, especially if you're lucky enough to come from a loving one or are from a place you love to go back to, like Leo.
Hence, have some sweet little nutter butter needing a pick-me-up from his boyfs who couldn't even chop a carrot properly before they met him (it's okay, they've learned, and they help Leo prep and can make a few good recipes)!

P.S. I just got back from a LONG hike, so I am going to curl up with a blanket and bang out some of these prompts staring at me in my inbox. Thank you for being so patient, and please keep sending me your ideas! XOXO
Leo liked hanging out with Regulus’ college friends. They were funny and charming, and didn't seem to have any idea about anything related to hockey, which suited him just fine. They were a bit artsy, kind of like the friends he wished he'd had when he was in high school.
It was another end of year party, after Regulus’ sophomore year, and Leo was talking to Amanda about her French essay.
“It was kind of cool,” she was saying. “Looking at the demographics of different dialects and where they came from. But there's almost nothing out there on Cajun French, at least not that I could find.”
Leo laughed. “I could've been your textbook.”
She smiled. “Should've thought of that.” She shrugged. “But I found enough sources to justify the length of my section on that dialect, so it's all right, I guess.”
He nodded, trying to still listen, but he caught sight of Finn and Logan across the way. Finn had a hand low on Logan's back as he mixed them both drinks, and Logan had turned to talk to him, smiling with his lips against Finn's jaw. Logan had grown his hair out again, the curls less frizzy now that he actually took care of it. Finn was running his long, nimble fingers through the dark locks, and Leo could just imagine the feeling.
“I've never asked,” Amanda said. “You didn't go to college, did you? Not even for a little bit?”
Leo turned to her, brow furrowed. “No, why?”
She nodded her head from side to side. “Just trying to put the pieces together.” She considered her next words. “They were already in the NHL when you met, right?”
“Yeah,” Leo said. “They met at Harvard, then Finn got drafted to the Lions, then Logan, then about- three? No, a two years later, I came along, right out of high school.”
Her eyebrows shot up. “How old were you when you got together?”
Leo suddenly straightened. “Uh, nineteen.” He looked at her shocked face. “What?”
Amanda shook her head rapidly. “Nothing, nothing. It's just- does it bother you?”
Leo was confused. “That they knew each other beforehand? No, I actually like learn-”
“No,” Amanda laughed, then sobered. “No, the fact that they're a bit older than you.”
Leo just looked at her. “Uh, no? I don't think I've ever thought of it as a bad thing.”
“But they were, like, out of college for a few years when you met. You would've just been starting.” She looked at him apprehensively. “And that doesn't- I don't know, it doesn't make you think?”
“About what?”
Amanda seemed a bit lost for words. “About- about whether they're… you know, it.”
Leo was taken aback. “It? Of course they are, I love them.”
She sighed. “I'm not trying to, like, make you insecure or criticize.” She shrugged. “I was in a relationship when I was in middle school, all the way up until halfway through this year. I thought he was ‘it’, too. I guess I'm…”
“You're what?”
She looked him right in the eye. “I'm curious.”
“Curious?”
“About what it's like to know- like, really know- that you've found the loves of your life when you're so young.”
Leo looked at her carefully. “I think- I think for us it works. And for some people it doesn't.” He bit his lip. “It's also different for us. Logan and Finn were always destined for each other, even if they were a disaster at Harvard. But if I wasn't really it, if they didn't love me completely and wholly, they wouldn't have been with anyone else but each other.”
“And that doesn't bother you?”
To Amanda’s obvious surprise, Leo smiled. “No. No, I think it's romantic.”
“Oh.” She looked down. “I'm sorry.”
Leo patted her arm. “Don't be. It- it's okay to have questions.”
He looked up to where Finn and Logan were talking with Regulus, who got approached by someone else. He excused himself, leaving the other two by themselves.
Leo turned back to Amanda, gesturing with his thumb. “I think I'm- I'm gonna just…”
“Yeah,” she said with a small smile.
“I hope you did well on your French essay.”
Her cheeks flushed, pleased. “Thanks, Leo. I'll see you later.”
“See you.”
Leo wandered over to where his boyfriends were, seemingly bickering quietly underneath a string of lights. He came up behind them and rested his hands on Logan's hips. Logan turned up to him with a smile. “Soleil,” he said happily. He turned into Leo's arms and leaned up for a kiss. “Ça va?”
Leo nodded. “Ouais. What are we talking about?”
Finn snorted. “Which M&M flavor is best. I said pretzel.”
“Non, the caramel ones.”
“Those aren't even that good, they're just pure sugar.”
Logan huffed, then tugged Leo's forearm gently. “Allez, Le,” he said. “Which one's better?”
“Personally,” he said, bending his neck down to be closer to them. “I prefer the peanut ones.”
Their answering smiles warmed him from his head to his toes.

Later, when they were all cuddled up in bed, cooling down in a late-night afterglow, Amanda's words kept nagging slightly at Leo’s brain.
“Guys,” he said from his place on Logan’s chest. “I have a question.”
Finn, walking over from where he threw the cloths in the laundry hamper, came to flop on his stomach beside them, his chin resting on Leo’s hip bone. “What is it, my peanut M&M?”
Leo snuggled closer into Logan's warm skin. “Does it ever… I don't know, like, bother you that I'm younger?”
Finn looked taken aback. “What? No- I mean-” He suddenly looked defensive “Did someone say something?”
Leo pressed his nose into Logan's chest. “At the party today. Amanda asked if I was sure about you guys, because we met when I was so young.”
Logan shifted underneath him. “Quoi? Sure?”
Leo carded a hand through Finn's hair. “Like, if I was sure you guys are forever for me. If I am sure.”
“You are forever.”
Leo smiled at the grumpy, possessive tone that Logan sometimes got. “That's what I told her. I told her that, if I wasn't, then you two wouldn't have wanted anyone else but each other.”
Finn kissed his palm. “But we do want you.”
“You've made that very clear,” Leo laughed. “And I know that the two of you, or me with just one of you, would never compare to the three of us.” He brought his foot to rest on Finn's lower back. “But I do think about it. The fact that I'm a little younger.”
“Quoi?” Logan asked. “You're more of an adult than we are.”
“Hey.” Finn flicked Logan's leg. “Speak for yourself.”
Logan wrapped Leo up tighter. “You were way more mature at nineteen than I was when I was nineteen.”
Finn nodded solemnly. “That's true. Nutty, you're way ahead of your years.”
“Thanks, I think?” Leo smiled. “But sometimes- I don't know, sometimes I don't feel like that.”
“What do you mean, mon coeur?”
Leo shrugged. “I feel like- I don't know, sometimes I really miss home. New Orleans. Like, it's still home to me, but Gryff is home to me, and you're home to me, so I feel home in all these places. I just can't let go of New Orleans yet, and sometimes…” He pressed into their hands. “I really, really love you, but sometimes I feel like I need a hug from my mama.”
Finn smiled at him, carding a hand through his hair. “That's not because you're younger. That's just because you're so sweet.”
Leo felt sheepish, turning his smile into Logan's chest.
Finn cooed. “Aw, our little sunshine's embarrassed.”
Logan laughed, leaning his head down over Leo to press wet kisses to his forehead and cheeks. “Ouais, mon soleil, you're just the sweetest.”
“Guys,” Leo said, but he felt warm. “Stop that.”
“Non, non, never.” Logan settled further against the pillows, bringing Leo with him and cradling his head with his hand. “Toujours, soleil.”
Finn shifted further up the bed, laying down beside them with a leg thrown over their bodies. “Do you ever feel insecure about it, baby?”
Leo considered this for a second. “I guess… sometimes I wonder what people think. Because you were in your mid-twenties when I was nineteen and we got together.”
Logan groaned. “No we were not.”
“Way to call us old, peanut.”
Leo kissed Logan's chest. “I'm just sayin’- a lot of people would think that's weird. But as we've gotten older, it seems less weird.”
Finn smacked his hip lightly. “Will you quit it with the age thing?”
“I'm sorry, honey. C'mere.” He pulled Finn in for a kiss. “Better?”
Finn nodded satisfactorily. “Very much, yes.”
“Allez, where's mine?”
Logan was looking at them both expectantly. Leo rolled over a bit to hover over him, leaning down to brush their lips together. When they pulled apart, Logan didn't even open his eyes, just turned his face toward Finn, jutting his chin out.
“You needy thing,” Finn said, but complied. Their lips made a soft breaking sound as they pulled apart. “Needy baby boy.”
“Mm, ici.” Logan pulled Leo down to rest on him again and tangled his ankles with Finn's. “Ouais. We sleep like this.”
Finn brushed his hair back from his face. “Needy thing.” He looked to Leo. “Sweet thing.”
Leo snorted. “I thought that was Logan.”
Finn shook his head. “It's both of you. I'm a lucky guy.”
Leo nudged their noses together. “That you are.” He breathed deeply and settled once again on Logan’s chest. The skin was warm, like a heater, lulling his eyes into closing. “I love you.”
“I love you so much.”
“Love you,” Finn sighed. “My sweetest things.” He stroked a hand up and down Leo's ribs. “Your age doesn't matter, baby. You could be two years younger, or two years older, or ten years older, and we'd still love you.”
Leo scrunched his nose. “Ten years older?”
“Mm,” Finn said, biting Leo's jaw. “Sexy silver fox.”
Leo pushed his face away with a laugh. “Ew, no, that's so gross.” When Finn leaned in to suck at his jaw again, licking at the skin, Leo made a protesting noise. “Finn.”
Logan patted Leo's butt. “I love how you are in this life, peanut. Exactly like this.”
That made Finn perk up. “Do you think we're together in every life?”
“Yes,” Leo answered immediately. He tilted his chin up to look between the two of them. “I don't want to love anyone else but the two of you.”
“Non, me neither,” Logan grunted. He wiggled a bit, wrapping his legs around Leo's calves. “Don't like that thought.”
Finn snorted. “You're a grumpy and possessive baby now.” He tucked his face into Logan's neck. “But you're both mine in every lifetime. No take-backs.”
“No,” Leo smiled. He could feel Logan's breathing evening out below his cheek. “No take-backs. Good night, sweethearts.”
“Good night, nutter butter.”
Logan just made a soft sighing noise, but he pulled Leo closer. Leo smiled, taking one last chance to look at how their skin shone in the moonlight, how their lips parted around their breathing, before closing his own eyes. He could get used to this in every lifetime.
Dreaming of snowy winters right now! Have some snuggly boys.

Hot chocolate had always reminded Logan of Christmases in Canada. They would go down to Sherbrooke to visit his father’s family for a few days and go snowboarding, sometimes skating on the nearby lakes and ponds if the ice was thick. There were copious amounts of chocolate shops in the towns there, serving the drink fresh-made. Logan always asked for a milk chocolate base, minimal milk, to reap as much sweet flavor as possible, and extra whipped cream. He and his sisters would usually go back for seconds, and maybe leave with a few truffles as well. His cousins never had quite the sweet tooth they did, but would entertain them nonetheless, waiting patiently for them all wrapped up in their winter gear. When he was younger, he would have considered it the best hot chocolate he’d ever had, a self-proclaimed connoisseur.
Leo’s recipe, though, took hot chocolate to a whole new level.
Finn closed his eyes as he took a sip out of his own mug, his glasses fogging up briefly. “Hot damn, Leonardo, this might be your best cup yet.”
Leo smiled from where he was ladeling into his own cup, all soft-featured and delighted in their kitchen light. Instrumental Christmas music played lowly from the speakers, adding to the ambience that made him look, in Logan’s opinion, like an angel. “Thanks, Harz. I bought some chocolate from the new chocolatier by the bookstore, it’s nice stuff.”
Finn scoffed. “This is not just nice stuff.” He took a big gulp. “This is real nice stuff.” He looked at Leo over the rim of his mug. “And you’re real hot stuff.” Finn paused to look over at Logan, giving him a once-over before he winked and smirked. “So are you.”
Logan rolled his eyes, but reached to grip Finn’s hair. “Shut up.”
“Oh-ho, you wanna make me?”
Logan just blushed and gave Finn’s head one last tug, which only made him smile wider as he brought his cup to his mouth once again.
“Lo, you want some more?”
Logan looked up at Leo, standing expectantly by the stove. “Ouais, it was so good, Le. Merci.”
He got up to bring his mug over, but Leo just shook his head. “No, no, sit, I’ll get it for you, sweetheart.”
Logan just grinned at the kiss Leo placed to his forehead, wrapping his blanket tighter around his shoulders. They were all cozy, freshly showered from an afternoon run and in sweatshirts and sweatpants. Logan had arrived the night before from New York for the Christmas break, and had no plans to move anywhere. Except maybe to their bed. Or to the kitchen, if Leo bribed him with food, which seemed likely considering the sheer amount of spices he had bought to make homemade gingerbread and molasses cookies tomorrow.
Leo came back into the room, his and Logan’s mugs in his large hands, and placed them down on the coasters on their living room table. “Any room for me on the couch, Tremblay?”
Logan grinned up at him. “Ouais, ici.”
Leo made to sit down beside him, but Logan shook his head.
“Non, ici.”
He stood up briefly, the blanket pooling around his body, and looked down behind him, and then up at Leo again.
“Oh, I see how it is,” Leo said, smiling. “We get to be your personal couch cushions for Christmas, huh?”
Logan couldn’t even find it in himself to be sheepish. He just gestured again with his eyes to the couch, and Leo complied, shaking his head but blushing all the same. He really did look so pretty when he blushed.
Finn tsked from the other end of the couch. “You are still such a baby, ten. So, so spoiled, even in your adulthood.” He sighed. “What’re we gonna do with you, huh?”
Logan just squished his cheek back into Leo’s shoulder to look over from his place on Leo’s lap. Finn looked so gorgeous, red hair long and wavy and his eyes big and brown. Most importantly, he was looking at them and smiling softly. “Ici.”
Finn snorted, but scooched over, throwing his legs horizontally over Logan’s thighs and leaning his shoulder into the cushion beside him. “You’re so lucky I love you so much,” he said drily.
Logan just hummed and wiggled a bit. “Pass me my cocoa, please? And Leo’s?”
“Bossy, bossy,” Finn said, handing Leo his mug first, then Logan’s to him with a bow of his head. “My liege.”
That made Leo snort, jostling Logan’s cocoa dangerously. He took a sip, letting the thickness of it settle on his tongue. Leo had added homemade whipped cream, too, and a touch of cinnamon and peppermint. It was sweet, spicy, and tasted like home. “Je suis content.”
Leo kissed the back of his head. “Oui, sweetheart, me, too.”
Finn kicked at them lightly. “Translation, pretty please?”
Leo leaned his head back to look at him, smiling in his soft, gentle way. “Just happy, Harz.”
Finn’s face softened. “Oh. Yeah, me too.” He reached out to play with Leo’s hair. “Love you.”
Leo kissed his palm. “Love you.”
Logan leaned his head back to rest on Leo’s shoulder. “Mes amours.” He sighed, then smiled smugly. “My favorite couch cushions.”
They laughed, which made Logan smile wider. When the cocoa was all gone, Leo put his arm out and Finn shifted to lay against his side, nose resting on Logan’s shoulder. With the music through the speakers, the string lights around their apartment, and Leo’s cocoa on his tongue, Logan felt more content than he had in months. With a sigh, he snuggled himself into their warm bodies, and let his eyes close.
Finally, he could get some rest
