maybe it's just my katarsis (as in the lithuanian band) brainrot overlapping with my jerejean brainrot (send help) but i can't stop thinking about how the song tavo akys really fits jerejean so well like firstly there is this general desperation and the hunger the song conveys to me personally that just makes me think about how both jean and jeremy have this overwhelming feelings for each other they don't realise are mutual (yet) AND jean thinking about jeremy's eyes (don't even get me started on the whole brown thing) and how jean sees jeremy's smiles often don't reach them but ALSO on the other hand jeremy seeing jean's trauma in his expression so often so the whole part of the song with "your eyes see pain" and so on can be applied to them both from each others perspectives AND THEN at the beginning of the song "the home burns" like hello what a coincidence and this is regarding both their feelings figuratively and the arson situation literally (rip cozy home nr 1) (they'll build a new one together) ALSO there is this general feeling of hopelessness to the song and the boys are so falling for each other but don't allow any hope to get added to the equation (not yet anyway) (though jean at least is on the right path with admitting to himself what he WANTS) (tsc3 has me waiting on my knees) (please let them hope and get what they hoped for please)

i did not fully grasp the chokehold aftg has on me until a situation i found myself in this evening: just came back from running 4.6 kilometres (not much but it's not zero so i take that as a win) for the first time after not having been running (or doing any sports tbh) since march-- all because i imagined the disdain Neil Jean and Kevin would have looked at me with for slacking off like this for two months straight

my favourite thing about 'Dracula' is how Mina Harker is the cleverest strongest icon out there: girly can write shorthand, learn train timetables by heart, keep a diary daily (my procrastinating arse could never), retype and organise a ton of written information AND a literal audio diary in like a day (????), and deduct the randomest niche stuff like it's nothing?? QUEEN behaviour period. Which is why, while I definitely love the cinematography and the cast in the 1992 film adaptation, the plot absolutely pissed me off. Of course the og misogyny in the novel was very unnerving and impossible to ignore (for me personally) but I bet even Mr Stoker himself would have had a stroke if he'd seen the way they reduced Mina's character to a mindless girl obsessing over the count. Tbh some ooc fanfiction I've read had more 'in character' figures than whatever the hell happened to Mina. Which is fine as an artistic interpretation of the og material I guess but explicitly calling the film 'Bram Stoker's Dracula'-- the audacity lol. The vibes were on point though very reminiscent of the book
