so if you don’t know what shifting is, a quick explanation is that it’s the idea that the multiverse exists and that you can transport your soul into a multiverse where your favorite characters are real. It’s a whole thing and was hugely popular on TikTok in 2020+2021.

Anyway I am Not judging anyone or even about to comment on shifting in itself.

But there’s also a concept that you can “script” the universe you shift to and even pick your appearance while you’re there.

And in late 2021 I posted a cosplay video that got a fair amount of views and people kept tagging each other in the comments and saying stuff like “I’m faceclaiming her for next time I shift.”

Which I swear did not bother me I was like okay you funky kids.

But two people specifically started taking about using my face when they shift universes to date Draco Malfoy. And I was like man. Don’t use my face to kiss Draco Malfoy. Im begging you.

I didn’t actually say that in the comments mind you I just let them be.

So anyway a few months ago someone posted a video discussing that they were one of the main shifting influencers and they faked everything and they were just lucid dreaming the entire time. So as you can imagine, shifters were very upset to hear this

I made a single comment about this situation. Maybe two sentences. And people are. Very angry.

And now for months I keep getting comments on my TikToks that I’m too ugly to date Draco Malfoy. This is considered the ultimate insult to them, I believe.

“Trust me. Nobody wants that face dating Draco.”

They’re also mostly running K-Pop fancam accounts and I’m trying to figure out the Draco Malfoy K-Pop link but so far I’ve got nothing.

Idk where I’m going with this I just felt like other people should know that I’m currently K-Pop Draco Malfoy’s number 1 enemy.

around the time i first watched Beauty and the Beast, my childhood play table broke; we had to glue to wood back together. i had a lot of nighttime anxiety as a kid, and naturally this led to me staying up late tossing & turning in bed, because what if that happened to a piece of enchanted furniture in Beauty and the Beast? imagine, you’re an 18th cent french servant and your young dumbass master summons a curse down on the house. he turns into a badass wolf monster while you, a lowly peasant, turn into a fucking TABLE. years pass. one day, that stupid dog-footstool comes running out of nowhere as you’re trotting down the hall, and BAM–your leg comes off! your leg just cracks off, splinters and all. then what? how the heck do you respond to that? well your master has spent the last 10 years trashing the place, so you’re probably not going to ask him to take a look at it, he’d probably smash you to bits (and not in the fun monster-smash ;) way, in the smashing-furniture-bc-he-has-big-claws-and-the-emotional-capacity-of-a-teaspoon way). still, you don’t have thumbs so you’re probably stuck asking that insufferable candlestick for help gluing the damn thing back on, assuming he doesn’t light you on fire in the process. so let’s say that happens, and a few years pass & your master gets his head out of his ass long enough to break the curse. my question in, what now? you’ve spent years walking around on a leg that was literally separated from your body. in an enchanted castle, does glue function as the magical equivalent of reattachment surgery OR have you just been walking around all this time on what would in any other situation be a dead decaying amputated leg? does the leg start decaying as soon as the enchantment is reversed, or is it basically just bone and rotten cartilage by now?? for that matter, has your human body kept aging all these years or is it returned to the state directly prior to the original transformation? does the 10 years spent as furniture count against your lifespan?

that’s not even getting on the subject of the baby teacup with a literal chip around the area where his skullcap would be. does that count as a traumatic brain injury? also, tables have 4 legs but humans have arms and legs, so how would you know until the enchantment is broken whether had an arm or a leg amputated? would you know ahead of time which is which or would it just be a wait-and-see kind of deal? would you even know the terms & conditions of the curse? would you have spent the last few years agonizing over whether or not you even want to break the curse, bc you have no way of knowing whether that means you lose an arm or a leg or straight up die of blood loss? alternatively, would the original injury already have killed you if not for the curse? are you supposed to be grateful to that fuck of a fairy? surely not. these are questions that my seven-year-old-self found most haunting

Alright this is rly sad but here goes. I started doing my once-in-awhile bot purge from my followers list. And. I used to be able to just quickly scan and see the bots. They were the ones with default icons and generator-sounding names like "noun-girl-827". And if you weren't sure, you could click on the blog and it would be immediately obvious it was a bot because there's either just bad porn click bait, or nothing there.

Well. This time I had to give up immediately because I got like ten followers down the list and was having immense trouble figuring out who's a bot and who's real. Never ever used to see this but like 5/10 of the first few followers I checked on had just totally empty blogs. It wasn't until I'd already blocked 2 - assuming bots bc empty blogs - that I thought to check if they had any likes. And bam! There it was. All of their user activity.

We have people on this website now who have never reblogged a single post.

Y'all, I'm sure you're sick of seeing "you have to reblog thing" but you literally have to reblog things. That is how this website works. You understand that, right? How do you think the post you hit "like" on got in front of you? It wasn't because you liked enough things and Tumblrs algorithm figured out what you like enough to hand it to you. It's because you followed someone, a human person, who reblogged that post. And it came from another person who also reblogged it.

You are killing this website by refusing to interact with it in the way that makes it better than the other websites you ran from to come here.

Anyway, I'm sure you're all nice people, but I'm not going to play the "bot or not" game if you have an empty blog I'm going to block you.

I think I've worked out (part of the reason) why there's been such a huge uptick in folks who don't reblog things on here.
