Watching Doctor Nowhere and his freaky lil creatures start blowing up in popularity makes me IMMENSELY happy. I was following him for years on Instagram so seeing fanart and reaction videos the past year has been fun

My one friend group can't stop saying, "See you in hell!" in a cheerful voice instead of, "Talk to you later!" and my other friend group can't stop calling things "penis" instead of "cool" or "good", so I just unironically uttered the phrase, "Sounds penis, see you in hell," as I got off the phone.

Basically Thinggender is referring to the Thing from The Thing 1982, referencing feelings of inhumanity and feeling as though you are an alien pretending to be human.

I think the scariest part about Batman is the loyalty he inspires. Like this motherfucker has an army of children who might at any given time hate his guts, but are still 100% willing to throw hands for him if Bruce needs them to. And then there’s the Justice League, who also at any given time might hate his guts or find him insanely irritating and/or weird, but will also fall in line and listen to his plans if the need arises. And that’s like the most intense form of power someone can wield—voluntary obedience from people physically more capable than them.

it’s a batkid tradition to memorise Bruce’s credit card number. when you join the family you get kidnapped and held hostage by the kids while the existing siblings drill you repeatedly until you can quote all the numbers like a soldier mindlessly responding to their drill sergeant. Bruce doesn’t find out this is a thing until theres a big case that requires some of the kids back up the JLA in a mission, but Duke hasnt slept for like three days so when Bruce barks at him to pay attention he snaps upwards like a sleeper agent to rattle off the entire card number by default. the table falls silent. Bruce furrows his brow.

Bruce: …wait. was that my credit card number?

Duke, instantly: im so sorry it was Dick’s fault i promise

Dick: HEY-

Barry: wait that was his credit card-? hey can you say it again-

Still Wakes The Deep, horror aspects aside, is a kind of game that could only work with the Celtic creators and in-game characters it had. The camaraderie that the cast had with each other is a perfect representation of the Celtic culture with their light jabs and general sense of immediate acceptance no matter the obvious differences in the crew, example being, Trots being an open Communist. There is no issue ever broached with this throwaway fact about him solely because he is likeable and a decent guy amongst them all. The use of accurate colloquialisms to each person's dialect is refreshing to see as a Celtic person myself (Irish) and this is a culture so commonly mischaracterised in media. Every person has a relationship with each other however small or unmentioned in the course of gameplay. We can see this so clearly when Caz reacts to the bodies and deaths of unamed crew members.

Just in general its super refreshing to see accurate rep for Celtic culture from Celtic creators and I'm still so in awe of the game as a whole upon finishing it last night with my girlfriend. Obviously the creature design, the story and the whole cosmic Lovecraftian horror aspect is stunning and unique as a game! But the cast grasped our attention just for these details alone and I just had to mention it.
