When Loki brightens up at the sound of thunder rumbling and says, "See, I told you," to his dad, and Laufey makes that face. And then Laufey’s reaction—“I don’t think it’s who you think it is”—makes you wonder just how often Loki talks about Thor. Add to that the constant repetition of "brother, brother, brother" when they’re not even brothers, and it starts to feel like Loki has an unhealthy fixation. What Daddy and Mommy issues? Loki had brother issues that matches none in the multiverse. It's almost as bad as Fandral and Sif running to Thor, exclaiming, “He’s here, he’s here,” like everyone just knows who "he" is

Laufey's whole face twitching when Loki does the whole "umm i think you'll find that my bff (brother foreverforever) is here" is so fucking funny that man has SEEN and HEARD too much. Bet he wishes he could conveniently slip into a coma Odin-style.

Like, I just wanna know how it all started; were Laufey & Odin are aww they're so cute look how well they're getting along when Loki & Thor were kids and then boom puberty hit and all of a sudden you had to think twice about touching a surface on Asgard after a Loki visit? (Thor whenever Odin goes into Odinsleep: "babe...come over...my dad's asleep").

you'd think that the lack of repressed resentment would have made them more normal and like...it HAS MADE THEM HEALTHIER no doubt but also...substantially more nuts because all that weird psychosexual tension is just OUT IN THE OPEN.

I wanna know more about Loki's luxury winter resort venture because that is one of the FUNNIEST THINGS EVER I'M OBSESSED.

HOW OFTEN DO WE THINK IT'S CONVENIENTLY "SHUT DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE" when thor's over 🤔 who's paying for the questionable damages after? (Laufey...we know it's Laufey). The tabloids must go CRAZY on Jotunheim.

Thor who thinks sharing a bed with Loki even as adults is completely normal and good and Loki who would just stare at him like he’s insane for suggesting it, and Thor gets wounded and grumpy about it like “But we shared a bed in our youth?” And really Loki should have expected Thor’s thought process to be so lacking in depth when it came to this kind of thing but Loki still won’t willingly share a bed because Thor snores (supposedly) or he hogs all the blankets (supposedly) or he thrashes in his sleep (supposedly) and every other excuse not to because Loki knows the minute he’s in bed with Thor he won’t be able to keep his thoughts purely brotherly but Thor just wants to have Loki in his arms

Anyway. Thor eventually has enough of Loki’s protests and just grabs him up and takes him to bed while Loki acts scandalized but is secretly fighting for his life against impure thoughts because Thor just literally swept him off his feet and into bed.

The difference is that one sacrifice is personal, intimate and private whereas the other is for a greater good, for the multiverse, beyond Loki's personal needs and desires.
