It Has Happened. My First Rough Sketch Of Odysseus.

It Has Happened. My First Rough Sketch Of Odysseus.

I fully intend on using him as a study for drawing, so I can learn how to draw better in general and draw him better as well. As a reference I used a few doodles of WolfytheWitch’s Odysseus, so credits to her since this is her iteration of Odysseus.

Hera: With war about to break out, we need to start thinking about strategy. In that case, I’ll defer to you- Are there any heroes you have an eye on?

Athena: Oh, I’m delighted you asked!

Athena: (slams two full four inch binders on the table)

Athena: So, this here is Diomedes, King of Argos. Now I know he’s seems a bit young, but he has more experience than most of the others put together! Here, have a look over his resume.

Hera: My goodness, taking Thebes, and at such a young age? That is noteworthy. A good choice, I think. Is there anyone else?

Athena: Yes! This is Odysseus. He is the King of Ithaca and he lies constantly.

Hera:

Athena: It’s hilarious.

Hera: Well, maybe he’s more impressive in person. I’ll just go down and take a peek-

Hera: Athena, I don’t wish to alarm you, but your mortal has yoked a donkey to an ox, and is sowing salt into the beach. Stark naked.

Athena: Oh, don’t worry about that. He’s only pretending to be mad. He doesn’t want to go to war, and is trying to get out of it.

Hera:

Athena: Obviously I’m not going to let him get away with it, but isn’t that clever of him?!

SPOILERS FOR LEGENDS ARCEUS TECHNICALLY BUT ALSO A QUESTION

⚠️⚠️⚠️

Ok does anyone know how to unlock Ingo’s harder fights in Legends Arceus? I’ve done the daybreak quests (aka the dlc), and I’ve fought Ingo several times in his regular battle. I’ve also fought the galaxy team and both clans in the path of tenacity. I have also done the path of solitude a few times. Do I have to catch god to fight silly amnesiac man?

This post is an outlier from the usual mythos tangents

I tried to watch Black Sails, and I fear that I might be missing something. Like, the costuming and acting is really good (and the opening slaps), but the first episode felt…not interesting? Does it pick up later? I feel bad since a lot of people really like the show. All respect to people who do like the show though, I don’t have anything really against it.

If I’m not missing something, are there any other pirate shows you mates would recommend? I’ve only really seen Pirates of the Caribbean and Our Flag Means Death.

Now that I’ve listened to Vengeance on repeat, I think I have my favorite songs in order.

1. Charybdis- it slaps so hard and it literally woke me up during the live stream. Will be singing this song to my dog. Charybdis sounds like a whale.

2. Dangerous- it just slaps. It’s got so much pazzaz (I can’t spell)

3. Get in The Water- performances slayed so hard and I loved hearing the many musical motifs hidden under Poseidon and Odysseus screaming at each other.

4. 600 Strike- it’s more yelling but the instrumental goes righteously hard. I love both Odysseus and Poseidon. Ngl it kinda hurt seeing my favorite god being tortured by my favorite Greek hero.

5. Not Sorry for Loving You- song is beautiful and Wangui does a beautiful job singing, although I REALLY don’t like Calypso. It’s also a very fascinating song on a psychological level I feel.

Please note I love and adore all of these songs and Jorge blew us out of the water with this saga.

Late night post: does anyone actually have recommendations on how to draw men? They seem to elude me which is kind of awful. It doesn’t help that I also want to draw Odysseus more.

As I am listening to God Games, I has dawned on me that when Athena calls Ares out and tells him to hold his tongue, the following melody is the bit in Warrior of The Mind in which Athena is singing about young Odysseus. Ya know, the “one day a boy came for the thrill” bit.

Actively filing a complaint, going bonkers, screaming and crying. Jorge Riverra Herrans once again ripping our hearts out. He may continue doing so.
