Really Bad Chess is a randomized chess game for iOS and Android. Both sides often start with several bishops and knights up front and multiple queens in the back. Never mind protecting all your pieces; both players’ material is going to get bodied for free.
When not occupied with yet another mobile game, I’ve been distracted by the hallway thing in the background, bootleg Famiclones, current events, and feeds getting added, dropped, and shut down. If you want to see more of the kinds of stuff I post, I suggest following TwistedSifter and Something Random.

Frog Fractions is an epic journey masquerading as an edutainment game. I played this blind on my stream for eleven fifths of an hour, and it was a trip. Sure enough, by the time I was done, I had gotten better at investing money based on how flammable my warehouse is. The only proper way to play this game is with at little prior knowledge as possible, so just play it now and look stuff up later.
What are you doing reading this old post? Go play Frog Fractions already.

Video game mashup artist MixerProductions found out that the sound of 16-bit Sonic games makes for natural hip-hop beats. Now every time I play the Flying Battery zone, I’m going to hear MC Hammer in my head. It’s been stuck in my head for days, and now it’s going to be stuck in your head too.
Yo Dawg, I herd you like Sonic, so I put Sonic in your Xzibit track so you can spin while you spin. OK, no fair mashing up Michael Jackson with himself.

30-Day Video Game Music Challenge (Super Hard Mode) Day 9: Music from a licensed game From Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (Wii, 2010)
This is the theme for Hurricane Polimar’s second stage. I’m not sure if I have the correct composer for this track.

Here in Ohio, we finally got our first decent snow of the winter. I really like snow as long as I'm not driving in it. For the moment, things are calm and pretty and not even that cold.
These are dire times. The USA became a dictatorship, China is sick, Hong Kong's autonomy is still threatened, Australia is still on fire, and climate change is inevitable. Let's rest and enjoy the snow before climate change takes it away from us. We should recover our strength so we can continue the fight for our future.

30-Day Video Game Music Challenge (Super Hard Mode) Day 25: Music that gets you pumped From Arcaea (iOS/Android, 2017)
Find something more hype…if you can… Fast songs in music games overclock my brain like nothing else, even if I hear them outside the game.
My cross-post messed up the post type and I can't delete it and re-make it without creating broken links. It's a video post now, so I swapped the Bandcamp embed for a YouTube video for Tumblr only.

When foraging for /r/FloatingIsFun content, sometimes I find something with a special mass appeal. Katrina Yu is a crazy talented photomanipulation artist that loves levitation. This gallery on Bored Panda features her as a witch going about her daily life. There’s plenty more from her on Reddit, Behance, Flickr, Tumblr, Instagram, and Redbubble.
Have you ever wondered what witches do on their ordinary days? I like to think that they’re always there, living among us and witnessing the world’s ordinary miracles. So this for Halloween, I imagined a daily life of a witch and tried to recreate it through my work.

30-Day Video Game Music Challenge (Super Hard Mode) Day 28: Music that makes you nostalgic From MegaRace (DOS, 1993)
My first CD-ROM game. It came with our Windows 3.11 computer. MegaRace isn’t very good, but it gave us Lance Boyle and some early 90s CG videos that we get to drive on.

I found Stupjam on the leaderboards for Yumi’s Odd Odyssey/Sayonara Umihara Kawase on the 3DS. Stupjam has since moved on to other Nintendo stuff, taking runner up in the Splatoon Art Contest, and is now accepting commissions. Since this artist is on Tumblr, I’m trying out Tumblr’s oEmbed code. Hopefully it works for everyone. (Update: It doesn’t work in Feedly, but I can try adding Tumblr’s own embed code manually next time.)

I’m on my way to PAX East 2014 with three of my friends, about to ride the Metal Gear Line to Boston. The 19-hour train ride each way is basically a mini-convention full of gamers that are also going to PAX East. I’ll be using my normally-inactive Twitter to arrange meet-ups with friends, and I’ll be keeping tabs on Facebook and #pax IRC too. For those of you that are headed to PAX East, let’s meet up and play some games! If you’re not going to PAX East, why not? It’s 60,000 people meeting up and playing games. What’s not to like? I’ll post some pictures at the end.

I was going to post the Geeknights PAX East 2012 highlight video here, but the video's thumbnail includes a pony on one of their badges. I'm trying to avoid ponies, but with Kinkaido and the other bronies from my stream here, I probably won't be able to hold them off for long. We're picking it up at Bryan on the northwest corner of Ohio. I probably won't be able to dodge ponies there either. Resistance is futile.
