Serious time here for a minute. If you can legally vote in the US, it’s your responsibility to read about your ballot and vote in the mid-term elections on Tuesday, or you have no right to complain about the outcome.
Who is your House Representative? Did they participate in the budget stalemate that shut down the government for 16 days? Did they vote for CISPA, a cybersecurity bill that would have allowed the NSA to bypass existing privacy laws? If so, vote against them and fire them. This includes every Representative from Ohio except Tim Ryan.
UPDATE: Every House incumbent in Ohio got re-elected. It’s like the whole state rose up in unison and said “Government shutdowns? CISPA? Sounds good; do more of that.” Way to fail, Ohio.
The blog will return to its regular goofiness next week.

Because it’s an all-time great metal album and totally not because I just joined the fediverse as @hitstun@computerfairi.es . My posts like this one will continue to appear in all the usual places for now. But, I’m not going to stay active on a site like Twitter when an idiot billionaire tears it apart and ruins it for everyone.

30-Day Video Game Music Challenge (Super Hard Mode) Day 25: Music that gets you pumped From Arcaea (iOS/Android, 2017)
Find something more hype…if you can… Fast songs in music games overclock my brain like nothing else, even if I hear them outside the game.
My cross-post messed up the post type and I can't delete it and re-make it without creating broken links. It's a video post now, so I swapped the Bandcamp embed for a YouTube video for Tumblr only.

I’m building a music multireddit to give me fresh music while I work, and it’s already finding good stuff! Sungazer makes the kind of electro jazz fusion that helps me concentrate. Will my multireddit continue to deliver? Repetition legitimises.

“Weird Al” Yankovic is fed up with your misspelled and misused words. It’s not that hard, people. Even on phones, keyboards like Swype make it easy enough to use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. There’s plenty of red pen in this video, but this is the first time since high school that I’ve seen a sentence diagram. I heard this song at RiffTrax Live’s screening of The Room, a legendary bad movie that commits crimes against words, storytelling, logic, anatomy, and football.

Pro wrestling is good dumb fun, but it's hard work. It's easy for someone to do a move wrong, receive a move wrong, say something wrong, or have a table fail to cooperate. Those mistakes are called botches, and Botchamania is a highlight reel of botches. It's about the only wrestling I watch anymore.
Botchamania has to bounce around to different hosts due to copyright claims. Maffew's feed is the best way to get new Botchamanias as they're uploaded. If this video breaks, let me know and I'll find it again.
I like to keep this blog work safe, but Botchamania contains some NSFW language.

From 1951, this is St. George and the Dragonet. It’s a parody of the then-new TV show Dragnet…with a dragon. We salute you, Stan Freberg!

UPDATE: Voltan’s video is gone, so I’ve replaced it with another montage from Destroy All Podcasts that seems to include the same clips.
Uh oh, I got too distracted by PAX East, Tetris victories, and Sayonara Umihara Kawase that I almost forgot I have a blog and a good video to post to it. Zeta Gundam is a show about giant fighting robots in space, but people sure hit each other at lot. YouTube user Voltan made a supercut of all the satisfying slaps, punches, and kicks that turn whiny pilots into brave fighters.
Sure, let’s run Kajet’s version too. Why not? 2007 YouTube, go!

Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi has been spending the past couple weeks distracted by the same thing I’m playing: Super Mario Maker. Polygon asked him to make a level and we got to see how he messes with the player’s expectations. This level isn’t open to the public, but IGA has been hard at work uploading even more creative levels for all to play. He’s working on a faithful recreation of Rondo of Blood with creative use of stacked enemies.

The Ohio State University football team has a 20 game winning streak and is still somehow only 4th in the polls. One thing’s for sure, though. We have the Best Damn Band in the Land.
One of these days, I’ll have to dig up some videos from my band days at Westerville North. Band was awesome.
