Thoughts: Okay to be fair this is a but of stretch, technically there is wedding planing but the focus on the story is on David and Alexis’s relationship. I just love this so much because 1. i will never think there is enough stories about David and Alexis’s relationship and 2. this story just shows their growth so well. There is such a sweet moment between these two although the diner scene is also enjoyable. 

Recommended if you like: GROWTH, Patrick and Stevie teasing David, and A+ for David and Alexis’s relationship

Hey there!! I have been reading fan fiction of Schitts Creek for a few weeks now and was told today to look at yours. It is and was incredible. I cried so many times. The first time I have ever cried during one of these fan fics. When will you have the last chapter submitted?

Welcome to SC fic!!! You’ve joined at a great time, there’s been a ton of fic lately with more coming at Open Fic Night! I’m not totally sure when the next chapter will be out, since I’m writing as I go– ideally this upcoming weekend, but that depends on how writing and also life goes 

I love your amnesia fic, and it’s a trope I usually don’t like, so you surprised me with your ability to make the story compelling. You do a great job of establishing initial chemistry between Patrick and David & maintaining intimacy without making their relationship feel overly familiar to David. The parts with Alexis have been my favorite — outwardly, she’s the same girl David knew, but you mine her character for the little differences. Also, I’m sad about Moira’s actions, but it makes sense.

I’m going to follow Umbrella’s lead and post one of my Halloween fics since it’s getting to be that time of year.

Halloween Whiskey was inspired by this piece of fan art by the incredibly talented @hatepotion which was in turn inspired by @helvetica-upstart amazing fic, Watching Through Windows, which was one of the first SC fics I read and I imprinted on it HARD. Anyway, my fic is NOTHING like helvetica’s, but it’s maybe good for a laugh and a bit of smut. I hope you enjoy.

Alexis wakes up to her phone pinging at her, irregular but insistent. Ted’s long gone into work for that weekend neutering extravaganza that she forbid him from discussing at home, so she’s got to fumble all by herself to get the phone off the bedside stand and unplugged so she can blink her eyes enough to actually read whatever’s on it.

There’s about a dozen WhatsApp notifications and a half a dozen texts; the latest text box is from Patrick and just says “ALEXIS WAKE UP.” She dismisses it; the next one says “ALEXIS WAKE UP.” The other four say the same thing.

“Oh my God, Patrick, chill,” she mutters, and checks WhatsApp. It is, of course, all Patrick, the first one at like, five in the morning. On a Sunday.
