Bev had brought Tink along for this exact reason, and fae was happy to help. In fae’s opinion, instructions were for sellouts as well; fae nodded in agreement at the sentiment. As the two of them looked on at what they’d narrowed their selection down to - two coffee tables, both modest in price and very nice, either of which would look great as the centerpiece to the redhead’s little apartment living room - blue eyes studied the first that was pointed at. Fae smiled with the other as she grinned that knowing, warm smile of her’s, giving back a little shrug of Hey, if it works ! The blonde wouldn’t be the first to throw stones, considering fae’s hobby of hitting things with a hammer until they worked. Both of them seemed relatively easy to piece together, as long as she had the right tools to do so with. So, Tink went with the one that appealed most to fae aesthetically. With a point to the one on the left, there was the answer - I really like that one. Then fae looked to the other, smiling their own clever, knowing smile. As long as we do it together, we’ll be the dream team ! Both of their personalities meshed so well, their determination and passion and warmth, it was sort of perfect how they’d ended up friends. What do you say ? Ultimately, though, it was the other’s choice - they’d have to live with it in their home for the next little while.

besides with the losers, it’d always been rather DIFFICULT letting people in ; the cruel words she heard from many over the years a constant echo. but with tink she didn’t worry. it was surprisingly e a s y . && while she greatly loved her childhood friends, considering most of them had all their memories she felt a bit misplaced. she could simply be herself, who she was right now. bev studied fae’s reactions carefully, making her final glance between the two options before nodding. “you’re so right. the light wood will BRIGHTEN the room quite nicely.” it took bev a while to actually believe it, but she could do whatever she put her mind to. seeing tink’s clever smirk only confirmed that notion this time around. with a confident tilt of her chin, she grabbed the box containing all the parts of what would hopefully turn out to be a coffee table, carefully placing it into the cart — as much as it would fit at least. “let’s do it. i think i still have the box of tools we used last time, but do you think we’ll need anything else ??” with tinkerbell around beverly quickly learned not everything could be fixed with duck tape or glue, && she’d forever be grateful for that && for the great company. “you need anything while we’re here ?? && by the way you’re staying for dinner. whether we get delivery or i whip us up something, it’s happening. it’s the least i can do for all your help.”
while feeling much more comfortable in the attire he came to ivywood in ( how he did, finn was still trying to figure out ), he knew it was best to blend. that was something finn was used to, having simply been a NUMBER once. though, that felt like forever ago now thankfully. dark gaze wandered over the different pieces, all the different fabrics. he pulled out a simple tee, wondering to himself if it was blast-proof when the other spoke. finn couldn’t help but grin, immediately more at ease. “really ?? cool.” with that he slung it over his arm, eyes moving between her and the clothing rack. “you’re good. if anything i need the help.” he admitted, a light laugh following his words. “i’ve never been all that good at this stuff.” he never had the privilege to be before.
waking up in a town where she had no idea who anyone was or how she got there was weird for the girl. she felt like singing a song about it, but she decided against it. this wasn’t glee club, although she wished it was. it didn’t take her long to use her resources and get a job at finder’s creepers, a thrift and consignment shop in the town. although she couldn’t leave and she had no idea how she got there, she got an ounce of happiness out of working there and going back to school. while at work, marley had been gawking from far away, unsure if she should walk up to the other and tell them that they would look great in the shirt that they were looking at in the thrift shop. finally, she shot her nerves down and basically strutted towards the other. “that would look so good on you!” marley spoke, a bit of enthusiasm in her voice before she realized. she felt like retreating. but she had already gotten herself into this mess. “i, uh… didn’t mean that in a creepy way, i’m— sorry.” ivywood was a place to find her inner lady gaga. she needed to be more.. out of her comfort shell.
She laughed at the stars, frightened but free, her terror as sharp as pain and as sweet as a ripe October apple, and when a light came on in an upstairs bedroom of the house this stone wall belonged to, she grabbed the handle of her suitcase and fled off into the night, still laughing. — IT by Stephen King

“Isn’t that just our luck? Some mysterious thing coming after us in ways we can’t explain?” Pennywise was a mysterious thing that no one was able to explain, until the losers club had decided to take him on. “I don’t think it was IT either, but I also know don’t know what it could be. Like maybe it’s something similar to IT?” He commented, curious what she might think of that. “Honestly, I think that’s as close to the truth as it could be.”
・・・・・・
“i just wanna know which one of us broke a mirror to give us such shit luck.” the attempt at jest was there, but didn’t quite meet the eyes. the idea of It or something else, possibly even worse made her nervous. bev sipped at her drink, giving herself a moment to think it over. it made sense. “there are other shit towns besides derry, places were awful things also happened. maybe this place is one of them.” it still felt like a stretch, bev remembered how derry’s stats were much higher than average. “i say it’s a good hunch, at least somewhere to start. did you guys — i mean did we, ever figure out what kinda thing It was ??”

Ben couldn’t help the blush that crept onto his cheeks. Jesus, he was a grown man, why was he acting like this? Because it’s Bev, that’s why. “ If it makes you feel any better, I’m sure you’re a more tolerable drunk than I am. ” He got giggly when he drank, and even though he knew that Bev had seen him like that before, something about her seeing him like that still made him nervous. “ Well, something tells me that this isn’t exactly the occasion to order a beer. ” He chuckled softly, looking toward the bar and shaking his head. He'd been in enough formal occasions to know that. “ Which is exactly why I’ve learned to appreciate a good whiskey. ”

"oh, i don’t know about that ben hanscom ; i can’t see you ever being even remotely intolerable.” how bev behaved while intoxicated depended much on the drink of choice && what happened that night, ranging from the silent overly-emotional type to the happy, affectionate type. ever unpredictable as always. the thought came to her without many other clues, but it felt right. she’d get a clue as to why later that evening. “— you could probably be drunk && still design the prettiest of buildings. architect, right ??” bev mused, only to soon chuckle along with him. “damn, just what i was about to order.” she jested, ordering her usual vodka && mixer — this time cranberry juice. “well, cheers. to you being fancy && us being tolerable drunks.”

“When did you get here, Luna?” Hermione asked genuinely. It seemed like their whole community was turning up and it had been quite the sight. But having Luna here felt like maybe things were normal again. Now the other’s just needed to show up. “Oh this? Thanks, I wore it for someone but I don’t know if it will end up panning out the way I’d hoped. We’ll have to see how things work out with him through the night.” She said and her smile got a little bigger as she moved her focus onto Luna more. “But you look amazing! I love that you are always just yourself. It’s such a nice relief to see you here in all of this chaos. But I know what you mean about it being home.” Hermione said with a nod. “Now if only everyone else could show up, right?”

"about a month or two, give or take. you ??” truthfully the timing of it all was a bit h a z y . sometimes it felt like she’d been here for years && other times like she just go here. but that’s how time worked right ?? years that, while in them, felt like they’d never end happened so quickly when looking back. at hermione’s words gaze turned genuinely a bit upset at her disappointment. “well if it means anything, they’re foolish to not appreciate it or you if that’s the case. && not to overstep — but i’d say always dress for yourself. you’ll look just as radiant, i promise.” they muttered off, though meant it. “being oneself always attracts the right people.” eventually, even if few && far between in some cases. luna’s smile warmed all the more at the compliment. “it would be nice to have a little reunion, wouldn’t it ?? it feels like it’s been forever. i couldn’t even tell you the last time we were all in one space.”

it was weird. getting hugs from any of the losers was… it was an experience. he really hadn’t realised just how much he missed his friends over the last few years even if apparently he’d seen them until they all came back. he laughed at her comment, although it was a surprise. did… was bev affected like he was? “i’ve been good,” he replied, shaking his head as he took a step back and just took in the woman for a moment. “i mean, you know, aside from being dragged into another strange town and everything. how have you been?”

bev’s smile faltered at his words. “bill mentioned popping up outta nowhere ; did that happen to you too ??” it was indescribable, how it felt to remember them && to have them here with her. but she didn’t want it if it meant this place was anything like derry. ivywood once felt like the HOME she never had. but now it’d be a lie to say she wasn’t worried. regardless, a grin once again tugged at her lips. “i’ve been alright. managed to miraculously make it through school && have been trying this fashion thing out.” eyes bright, brow arched at a thought. “drinks to celebrate ?? besides i wanna hear everything. how’s the farm ?? && florida, right ?? please tell me you went somehow, someway.”

Bill looked at her at little confused before responding. “What do I mean about the town? I mean, all these people randomly popped up here, including us. I don’t understand how these people just showed up. Like, it doesn’t make sense unless you want to believe in the idea of a parallel universe or something.” He offered, shrugging his shoulders as he thought about it more. “It’s not bad, but I don’t trust.” He continued. “They’ll catch us soon enough, unless we all stay apart. No groups bigger than three. Then it’ll be harder for them to find us within the crowd.”

“wait—” a pause as gaze lingered, attempting to decipher it all. “you’re serious ??” if it were anyone else but one of the losers beverly wouldn’t believe it. but they had gone through so much in that summer, have seen inexplicable things. she didn’t doubt bill’s words. “i wouldn’t say anything is impossible anymore, unfortunately.” she muttered, lips pursed in thought as she tried to understand. “but we still have some TIME. before — you know. && we’re not in derry. It can’t leave.” hopefully. even in the midst of confusion there was comfort in the jests, smile once again crossing her lips. “good plan, big bill. we can create new identities, give ourselves whole new backstories so they’ll never guess such losers are crashing their party. it’d be like we were never here.”
